1. Any and all music from the first Final Fantasy's (I-VII). I guess it's more of a comfort thing, one of those reminders to your childhood. There are several games that have good soundtracks, but those would be the particular ones. Oh and NFL 2K for the original XboX. Just because you could customize so finley. For those of you who don't know you could set a certain part of a track saved to your Xbox to play at certain times. ex. First down was the chorous to Free bird, since whenever you get a first down it free's up your play book. (cheesy, but I was like 15 so I was all about football and being cheesy)
2. Well I guess you could say I used to have an obsession with a series. I followed the Final Fantasy series avidly. That is until they started throwing chinks in it. First it was Final Fantasy tactics, yes I know most people loved it I just didn't. I got back on track, downloaded the Japan entries that didn't make it to the states. They ruined everything for me when they brought out FF XI that you had to play online. It should've been it's own like FF tactics then I would've stuck with it. So now I'm sort've blah about it. That's really the only series I've been "obsessed" with.
3. The only probelm with allowing companies to go bankrupt is the size of them. For years anti-trust laws should have prevented companies, in particular the larger mortage companies, to grow so large and have such an impact on our economy. Basically what the problem with not doing anything is, if these companies start to go bankrupt the panic will grow tremendously. Making it impossible for ANYONE to get credit, thus money won't be put back into the economy as much. Things like New cars, and homes will be cash or check only. Right there you're talking about a ripple effect that is going to cause more plants to shut down. Less new car sales=less new cars=less demand for jobs=plants shutting down, as one example. Next you have homes, less home sales=less demand for homes=even less jobs. Now you're talking about contractors, siding companies, home companies that deal in premanufactured homes, all those jobs wiped out. That's just one end of the spectrum, for anyone wanting to go to college. It won't happen if things keep going, those of us finishing college, say good-bye to the job market in several fields. I'm actually appalled that this has been going on for 10years now. No that's not a shot a democrats saying that this is all clinton's fault. It's been a process that was caused by a joint effort from the consumer and big business. If nothings done we're screwed, if the government bails the business' out then its up to them if they "unfreeze" credit or not. My guess is the bulk of them will take their money and run. Just my little rant, (As a worried consumer preparing to start his life)
4. "Jason, Jason damnit get up!" Jason sat up in bed, from his father's tone of voice he'd overslept again. The anticipation of this years Lottery celebration had kept him up all night. Of course, not so much the thought of winning, Jason had figured his chances and though there were a limited number of people in Northwatch. The tradition was, every year you received the number of years you were born as entries. He was one of the youngest in the villiage, so that already didn't make his odds favorable. He enjoyed the military procession that pre-empted the ceremony. It was so different than in previous villiages he'd lived in. Not to say it was better, just different. That was one thing Jason loved was things out of the ordinary, that's one of the things he loved about his job. Everyday he got to go outside the city gates into the field gate, he wished he could get authorization to leave the city completly but he learned a long time ago he'd have to settle for things inside the gate. That would be the occasional wondering arctic predator looking for an easy meal. That's why Jason and his father did, they hunted down those nasty wolves, bears, and other creatures that wondered from their home looking for the Guinia Yak. They were genetically altered over a decade ago, mixed with Moose and something else to make them stand over 8 feet tall and have the best tasting/tender meat you could ever eat. Jason threw on his clothes, furs made from the hides of the same animals he protected. And made his way with his father to the armory, since civilians weren't allowed to carry weapons. They had to leave their bows and knives at the entrance to the city gates in the hands of official military personnel. Upon arriving Jason's father noticed something was out of the ordinary. "That's odd, the gates are closed. Hmm, I'll be right back." Jason's father dissapeared into the armory, a few moments later he immerged with the biggest smile on his face. "Well son, looks like we get one of those Day off things Grandpa told you about. The military is taking over, I guess this years lottery is supposed to be something special. A high ranking military official is going to address the city and draw the numbers herself." Jason was elated, he ran right home and hoped into bed. "festivel doesn't start for a few more hours. I'm gonna do the one thing that I haven't done since I was little. Sleep in" Jason closed his eys and drifted off, with a new outlook on the "simple" things in life.
5. Hidoshi starred up at the huge ape and gulped. The fear he felt at that moment was evidence enough of the creatures power. He looked to Tetra who seemed to be feeling the same way. "Keep him busy, I need about 30 seconds" the girl nodded hesitently, she was obviously frightened. "Shukaku its all you baby" She said with confidence. Suddenly, the sand around her swirled again and the giant racoon like creature was once again summoned to the field. This time, Tetra dissapeared into the swirling sand as part of the summon. Meanwhile Hidoshi assumed the summoning Jutsu stance, but instead of making the normal handsigns to summon his normal ally. He bit his finger, and touched a drop of his blood to his tongue. At once, the nine-tailed demon inside of him sprung to life. The pain was excrutiating, it felt as though he would be ripped apart by the sheer force of the chakra building up inside of him. Risking a glance, he saw that the Shukaku was holding its own against the giant monstrosity. Exchanging blow after blow with the beast, being gifted at "sensing" the power of others, Hidoshi could feel the Ape was hiding much of its power. Suddenly, everything went dark and Hidoshi was standing in an ancient room with the nine-tailed fox. "Why is it, you are trying to summon me Hidoshi? Why do you think for a second I would lend you any more of my power than you already possess?" The voice was terrifying, he'd been here once before when a summoning had gone bad. The fox could easily wipe him out here, destroy his mind and leave him a shell. "If we don't stop this creature, he will destroy this whole planet. And you know as well as I do, if the spirits of this world perish so shall you." He knew exactally how to pursuade him to help, if there was one thing to know about the nine-tailed fox it was that it was the most self-absorbed creature ever. The only thing that mattered was self-preservation, that's why it allowed itself to be imprisoned in the body of a boy. "Very well, go now. You have the promise of my power as long as you so shall need it." Hidoshi's eyes snapped back open, he made his summoning Jutsu handsign and smacked the ground. The whole earth shook under the shockwave it produced. It toppeled over the giant ape and sand racoon, the hills that were scorched nearby were reduced to piles of rubble. Hidoshi couldn't fight back the scream that came from him from the sharpe increase of power, and the pain of the transformation. The orange Aura that was the combination of his own and the foxes was replaced with the blood-red aura that was the Nine-tail fox. Hidoshi's eyes turned blood-red, then jet black. His hair turned white and he started to stretch and grow. The aura complelty surrounded him, as though he was burning alive in it, and by the screams you would have thought that was it. The aura grew and grew until it was as large as the Ozaru and the Racoon. The darkening sky grew black, as though something veiled all the stars in the sky, and the only thing remaining was the moon. The aura flashed back, sending a burning wave that would have incinerated any life other than the fighters, if anything had still been alive close by. The fox emmerged where Hidoshi had sat, in its full and most pure form. It matched the ape and racoon in size easily, though the look on the shukaku told of its power. The ape must have as well, it emminated a scream as it quickly increased its power. It swung itselt into the air, grasping the racoon by the neck with its tail. As it hung there for several seconds its flipped itself over swinging the racoon like a rag-doll. Smashing her into the ground, it came down with all four paws glowing with energy. All at once the four balls erupted in a massive explosion....when the dust cleared the racoon was gone. Hidoshi couldn't tell if Tetra had survived or not, but he wasn't going to give the ape the chance to get back on his feet. He was on him in an instant, slashing with his tails that were like whips. One collided with the apes chest sending him staggering backwards. When he was off balance Hidoshi opened his mouth, summoning the foxes energy forward in a blood-red blast of energy. It hit home sending the ape head over heels. He waited for the ape to get back up before proceeding, he didn't have forever in this form. And he couldn't afford to hit him with lower-level attacks and just wait for the energy to dissapate....he did wonder if tetra made it or not though.
6. After their second game, and the second time tetra beat him at the game they were playing, John had enough. "Haha, that's game again John. Boy you sure suck at these tonight, usually you give me some sort've run for my money." Tetra mocked him. He put his hands in his pockets and looked at her. He was trying to hide the fear and confusion from his face. He'd never had anything "shake" up his life before, he wasn't honestly sure how to handle it. "I think i'm gonna call it a night Tetra, I'm feeling kind've upset. Here, I know you don't have any quarters left." John handed her a couple dollars worth of change he had gotten when they arrived. As John was walking home, a nice car slowly pulled up beside him, as the drier's side window slowly went down, it revealed Eon sitting in the driver's seat staring at John. "John, what are you doing out so late?" Her voice sounding generally caring, but John was still on guard. "Oh nothing, I was just on my way home." He came to a stop, though he was ready to run. "What is that you're carrying with you?" She motioned towards the staff, in reality he wasn't sure why he was still carrying it, "you know John, I have a class on gang related incidents on your age students. Why don't you hop in and I'll give you a one on one lesson while I take you home?" John could have sworn he saw her eyes litteraly light up with a sickening red glow "No thanks, I'm not in a gang. I just need a walking stick, it's not a weapon or anything. Well it's getting late, I better go." John turned and started walking, he could hear her vehicle start moving forward. "Well, I don't know about that. After the incident with Shanice and those two boys. Now your friend Victoria is out on a date with that Tyler thug, who is in fact in a gang. It seems you and your friends are heading down a slippery slope, I think instead of going to the museum with the rest of the students. You three amigos will sit in on the class I'm already teaching. What do you say about that?" Her voice had an air about it, and John had finally had all he could take. He turned from her and bolted through the brush into the nearby woods, he'd played "warrior hero" when he was younger and knew the area like the back of his hand. He could take this shortcut and be home in just a couple minutes. He actually smiled, he felt like Eon was out to get him, and escaping her felt great, that is until he heard her whistle. "Go get him guys, I want him and those other brats brought to me at one." John could hear what sounded like 4 or 5 sets of feet pounding the pavement. What could he do now? She was after him, and it seemed like she was after the girls too. But why? John had to decide whether or not to go home and reach the safety of his parents, or turn himself and hope he could find his way out and around the thugs without getting lost in order to get to the girls. It was his time to get a little adventure and be a "hero", so he turned in the direction he thought was the arcade and made his way back to Tetra. Victoria could wait, he thought it'd be funny when she found out who Tyler was. He'd bail her out, only after she suffered a bit though.
7. The sound was so loud and piercing it made Abel cover his ears. As he looked for the source he saw at once what it must have been. A young man was standing in front of a soldier who was staggering backwards. Apparently the glowing crystal in his chest plate was a magical device. And whoever the young man was must've stopped it mid attack. As the sound subsided, a frightened Romph looked upon the young man and called to his troops. "Its the damned wizard, retreat to the fortress!" All at once the remaining guards turned tail and bolted. After sheathing their weapons and regrouping. The band of knights approached the young man who was leaning on his staff obviously pleased with himself. "It seems as though you need my assistance knights." "The only thing we need is for you to help us find a wizard. He's supposed to be an old friend of merlin's, we're supposed to meet with him here." Abel couldn't help but be annoyed with the young mans knowledge of the group. They were supposed to be off the radar until they had to be. "Well my young friend, you should show a little more respect. Merlin told me a little about you all. And you need my help, but before I will aid you, you must do something for me. The barbarian fort lies a half a days walk from here. I need you to help me remove them from the area. After that, I'll help you with your quest." Abel had had enough, the insolent young man was obviously trying to get them to help rescure his town, and he would even try posing as a great mage. "There's no way kid, seriously where is the REAL wizard." Suddenly the young man thurst his staff at Abel. A white light emitted from it slamming Abel in the chest. Abel cringed as the man lifted him off the ground with the light. It ripped at his insides. As suddenly as it started, he was dropped to the ground holding his chest. "You can believe my identity or not, but either way you're not getting any further in your quest until the barbarians are gone from this area. I'll be awaiting you on the east end of the villiage when you are ready." Scar offered a hand to Abel who took it hesitantly. "Way to handle that one Abel" Abel looked around at the group. "What do you guys want to do, follow the wizard or what?"
8. This is a short horror/action RP. When I say short I mean it'll probably only last around a month if everyone can post even a couple times a week. The story begins in the year 2080. The worlds supply of oil has been completly used up except for a single reserve located in the northernmost tip of Alaska. This information was supposed to be a secret, as things always do, however, the wrong people found out. First thing everyone did was shoot down each other's satellites out of the sky sending the whole world into darkness. Of course there was still radar, but it didn't have the range to intercept the quickly organizing masses. Before anyone knew, Russia had crossed into Alaska marking the first scale invasion of the United States. In quick retaliation, the U.S. mobilized its forces that were not already protecting the borders, and away protecting its allies. You are part of a unit who was responsible for pushing back the Russian's in Southern Alaska. Your unit has just taken over a mile long underground facility the Russians had taken over for their own purposes. There is no record of this facility, and its previous uses are unknown. What is known is that deep inside still lies an unknown amount of Russian soldiers, and something else. Something sinister.... Sign-Ups: Name: Age: Job Class: Riflemen, Marksmen, Heavy Gunner, Recon, Demolitions Personality: Appearance: Primary weapon: Secondary Weapon: Biography: The story will actually take place during the battle for the entrance to the facility. I'll post my signup in a day or two.
9. Greg laid in his room starring at the ceiling thinking about Marcus. His best friend/Rio killed, he had to find that judge tremor and finish what he started. Their battle had been short, and Greg wasn't so sure he would have won, but he will next time; for Marcus. As he started to drift to sleep, a voice came over his com watch. "Johnson, get to the hangar at once." The voice was commander Rex, the big cheese of the namelessones. "On my way sir" Greg didn't dare make the commander wait. Though Rex was a laid back guy and you never saw him angry, it was something Greg never wanted to see. Greg stepped into the hangar to see his MS loaded onto an underground rail train. Commander Rex, Colonel Jackson, and a few other high end officers Greg new by face and not name were standing by beside his MS. Greg followed normal protocall since Rex was there, normally he wouldn't have bothred saluting, but he didn't want to give that asshole Jackson a chance to get rid of him. After saluting the group the commander spoke. "I receieved a message from the scavengers today. It seems the Judges made off with a couple classified MS and they're requesting aid." Greg noticed Colonel Jackson rolling his eyes, he must've not agreed with whatever the commander was abou tto say. "I've agreed to send a liason to them, and low and behold they've requested your services. You have a real gift for piloting the God model Greg, they've seen it now they're requesting YOUR help. You are to leave at once. This is an opportunity to gain an alliance with the Scavengers, so I cannot even begin to express the importance. Contact us when you've learned what you will be doing to help them. dismissed" Greg loaded himself into the train car without a word. He wasn't to sure how to feel about the mission, on one hand he didn't like the idea of having to fall under someone else's command, but on the other hand the scavengers had some of the best equipment and specialists around. Maybe they could help him to improve his "big buddy".
10. Well I think how this is supposed to work is I should rate Gavin's signature. But since his post was only to move i'll move up to ED's (Eclipsed Dreamer) . Vervex, if you don't want the thread closed down make sure you don't just say Rate it. Make sure you specify people should rate it and tell why they gave it that rating, otherwise I think it would probably just get shut down. But I give Eclipsed Dreamers signature a 9/10, mostly because its about the RP we're in.
11. ~Aww mature RPG with censors common now.:animesmil~ John had decided to follow Tetra, even tough they had plans for later on. He knew something had to have been up. He saw the whole fight scene, and he had to admit he was amazed. "Wow the two of you beat up the one of her you must be proud." John said saracastically. "Though, I am wondering where the hell those moves came from?" Suddenly Shanice was back with two guys, local thugs John recognized at once. "These are the two big bros. get umm for me." The two started on them. At once John jumped in "You two shouldn't pick on girls you know" the lead thug stopped in his tracks and started talking to the other. "Hey Bill, that's John Carpenter from the football team. The talk is he's pretty tough, I think we should forget this." The one John now knew was Bill shot the other a look "Adam, it's two of us against one guy and two girls we'll be okay. Besides, these girls hurt our lil sis." The one called Adam dashed towards John, who of course had been the one to start the rumor and the only one who knew how untrue it was. Something caught the eye on the ground at John's side, it was a large staff of sorts. He kicked it up with his feet into his hands as though it was natural. He spun the staff over his head and into a spin, slamming the handle into Adam's chest cracking a rib. Hearing his brother's cry of pain Bill rushed John who had already started spinning the other way, he loosed his grip on the staff so his hand slid all the way to the end. He swung it with his spin like a baseball bat and connected with Bill's thigh giving him the dead leg of his life and dropping him to the ground next to Adam. He looked to make sure Shanice hadn't tried anything, but as he figured she was still hurting from the beating Victoria and Tetra gave her. He looked up at Victoria and Tetra and smiled, "See that was two guys against one guy and the one guy won. So I can feel good about that one." John's smile faded when he looked at the staff in his hand. Where had it come from? And how in the hell did he know how to use it?
12. Hidoshi smiled as he thought of being able to be one on one with Kataki. He's a lot stronger than I thought. He doesn't realize though, the weights are not always visible Hidoshi closed his eyes flashing his Shadowclone handsign, suddenly the air was filled with 6 Hidoshi's. "Sorry Kataki, though I'd love to see you rip that runt to shreds. I'd love to see me kill you both even more." The 5 clones surrounded the two in a pentagram form drawing their blades with sick smiles on their faces. Obviously torn on letting this opponent go or letting her be skewered. Hidoshi called out a simple command "Finish this guys!" The 5 simultaneously dashed towards the two warriors. As they grew close Kataki's stern expression turned into one of sheer joy. He released his grip on Tetra's arms and kicked her straight in the center of her back. As he rolled out and became upright, a defining roar escaped his lips and a blinding white light blasted out in all directions. Hidoshi steped to the side as the blast propelled Tetra past him, and cringed as he felt all his clones dissapear. Tetra crashed to the ground and slowly rose to her feet. Hidoshi now realized the depth of his opponents power. "If you wish to stay and fight still you are welcome to join me. But I would suggest you vacate, this foe is beyond you." Hidoshi then turned his attention to Kataki who was laughing at his enemies. "Seems you're the strongest here. But victory is not always given to the strongest. A real warrior is always looking for ways to win." He points to the ground around Kataki. When he glances down he sees the 5 blades the clones held. He glances back up at Hidoshi with a puzzled look on his face. When he looks up, Hidoshi finishes his handsign that activates the charges in the handles of the knives. The explosion sends the big man soaring into the air. Hidoshi doesn't move while the big man lands on his back and scrambles to his feet. Tetra is back on her feet now and facing the group, is she going to decide to join Hidoshi against the stronger opponent. Or are they going to keep the threeway dance going? I think the orders a good thing for now, keep it at Kataki, Hidoshi, and Tetra. That way its easier to follow. Just my opinion
13. As soon as Victoria rounded the corner out of sight Tetra grabbed John's hand, "Common, hurry up I want to cut her off and see what dork she's going out with." John wouldn't budge, "No thanks Tetra, I think I'm gonna call it an early night. I have some plans myself." "Plans? Nobody mentioned plans to me, so I think that means you're all mine for the night!" Tetra pleaded. John really didn't have any plans, he was still thinking about the days events. "Okay, well you got me there. How about we meet up at the arcade in a couple hours?" John always gave in when it came to tetra "Okay, then how about after that we hunt down Victoria?" "Sure thing." John smiled and turned away towards home. It was going to be one wild and crazy night. "hmm that's odd. I didn't realize Tetra lived the same way Victoria did?" John thought to himself as Tetra skipped off. ~Sorry, didn't realize you were posting Tetra, the edit should cover it.~
14. ~chapter 2 is all mine aww yeah~ John sat on the bench outside of the school waiting on Tetra and Victoria. It had seemed something, fate maybe, had roped them in together. The two exited the school at the same time, making their way towards him. A happy go lucky look on Tetra's face, and the smug look he always got from Victoria. John waved them over making room on the bench for the two of them. Tetra floped right down beside him, Victoria beside her. "Hey I wanted to talk to you guys about today. What the hell happened in there?" Tetra, as usual, was the first to speak. "I don't know, but something hit me like a train. You think it had something to do with that nasty new teacher and that equally as nasty little girl?" "I don't know, she wasn't around when you guys were conked out. But there is something about her." Victoria added "Well V, when you went all crazy she was around. And it wasn't 5 minutes after leaving her that me and Tetra got screwed up." John smirked at Tetra's reaction to the nickname. "V? Didn't you call her that earlier?" "Yup, it's her new nickname, oh she loves it so much. Make sure you start calling her that." Victoria swung her bag at John, who just managed to jump out of his seat before it hit him. "Tetra, I swear if you start calling me that I'm going to start treating you like a dog." "So you'll start treating me like John?" The two's giggles made John's face red. The laughter was suddenly broken up, by a rustling in the bushes behind them. They faced the bushes, eager, but afraid to see what would come out.
15.
I have one bad habit i can think of at the moment. I correct people too much. Spelling errors, grammer errors, any other errors.:catgirl:
Oh no, that's the worst kind to have. Didn't know you were that way ED tsk tsk:animeangr I can think of a few that I have, first of all I HAVE to have the last word in an argument. Something my fiancee and ex girlfriends will attest to. I switch majors like most people change....well I don't think there's a good comparison. People don't change anything as often as I do my majors. I'm overly optimistic to the point where it's sickening. The Supercollider could bring about a blackhole that in 24 hours would destroy the whole world, and I'd find a real silver lining. (Sometimes it makes even me sick)
16. Hidoshi scoffed at the newcomer from his perch. He created a shadowclone which was teleporting around Kataki. He could see the Akatsuki could feel him, could see Kataki, but she had no idea of the clone. Hidoshi launched himself from his position in the distant treeline, making as much noise as possible. Kataki immediateally dashed in his direction, Tetra followed suit. A smile creased his face, "Too easy." Hidoshi smirked as he stopped, pivoted, and dashed to the right. As he knew they would, Kataki kept coming from his direction, and Tetra stopped and made her way to cut him off. Hidoshi willed the shadowclone to stop teleporting, it reappeared inches from Tetra, who was on a full run. With a spinning kick the clone launched Tetra towards Hidoshi. Hidoshi imitated the kick and sent Tetra in Kataki's direction. The two slammed into each other sending them both sprawling. Hidoshi and his shadowclone, made quick mirror handsigns and launched themselves in half circles towards the two. Suddenly Hidoshi could feel his clone dissapear, he stopped and looked as Kataki's hand was pointed at the clone. He could still see a small whisp of energy. Kataki turned his attention towards the real Hidoshi, this time Tetra was the faster. She lept at Hidoshi, slashing her wicked sand claws. She was faster than Hidoshi first thought and one hand made contact with his chest. It was all fist and no claw, but it still sent him reeling. "Always be aware of your surroundings" Hidoshi smiled as he saw the glowing ball hit the ground and detonate. He'd seen the Akatsuki's attacks before in their many attempts at taking him down, but the newcomer had amazed him with each new energy type attack. This ball exploded like a bomb, but was created in the palm of his hand. He flipped, landed on his feet and faced Kataki. Tetra was recovering so he had to act quickly. He threw a knife straight at Kataki, the distance was too great to hit him. And as he hoped the man easily side stepped, with a quick handsign Hidoshi dashed at Kataki. As he neared the big mad likewise charged knowing he was stronger than Hidoshi and would best him when they collided. Hidoshi had been holding his handsign till just that moment, he quickly finished it and where he stood was the knife he threw a second before. His replacement Ninjitsu switched him and the knife positions. Once he emmerged he stopped and reversed direction, Kataki was quick enough to evade the knife as it came. But in stopping he left himself wide open. Catching the knife in mid-air, Hidoshi burried his right foot straight into the small of Kataki's back. As the bigger man bent in a horrific angle, Hidoshi rolled his hips, launching the man well into the air. Hidoshi lept up passing him, rolled forward, slamming his heel into the sternum sending Kataki straight back towards the ground. "Tiger-fire Jutsu" The technique brought forward a strem of flame from Hidoshi's mouth, it hit the ground at almost the exact second Kataki did. Hidoshi smiled when he didn't hear screams. "I'm glad, that didn't get you. I would've hated to have had to deal with her myself." He motiond towards Tetra who was fully back on her feet. He looked to his left where Kataki was floating in the air. All three were ready to launch another assault.
17. "I was taught many years ago that if you're all show you are no go. But I suppose I could amp up a little bit." Hidoshi closed his eyes, he felt the demon chakra try to leap out. But years of practice had prepared him for this, he forced it back down channeling it slowly throughout his body. Though he couldn't see him, he imagined the smirk on his opponents face. Hidoshi opened his eyes, brought his hands to his chest in the form of a diamond and he began to groan as he summoned the nine-tails forward. He risked a glance up at Kataki's face who seemed bewildered at the lack of anything he could see. As if to answer that look clouds in the clear blue sky began swirling around above Hidoshi. In a matter of seconds the sky was blackened by the clouds, as if a Lunar eclipse plunged the land into the blackness of midnight. "I hope you're ready!" Hidoshi's eyes glew blood red, the same blood red color the creature inside him possessed. Hidoshi couldn't fight back, and a scream of almost a pure mix of pain and ectasy broke his lips. A gust of wind, powerful enough to shatter mountains came forwarth from the fighter. The clouds that had formed were immediateally changed from water vapor to rain with the changing pressure. As the quick downpour subsided Hidoshi noticed that smirk again on Kataki's face. "Hope he likes what he saw" Hidoshi dropped back down into his ready stance. Though he didn't psyically change appearance, Kataki was in for a treat. Size didn't matter at all, and Hidoshi was going to prove it.
18. Hidoshi could feel the presence even before he saw the object plummet to the earth. Though he couldn't tell the extent, it was obvious the presence was evil. He'd been making his way through the forest of his hidden leaf home, leaping from tree to tree, only a blur to everything who looked upon him. Hidoshi could feel a distant cry, muffled by death. The visitor was quick, the farmhouse was close by, but to have the arrogance to exterminate a simple farmer not a minute after landing. "Finally, it has been a long time since I've felt a force like this." He mumbles to himself. He sees an object levitating above the smoldering remains of what must have been the beings space craft. Not needing a second look, Hidoshi knows at once this is his opponent. He pauses on a nearby ridge, still too far away to get a good look at his enemy. But enough to scan the area, the remains of the farmhouse are visible to the left. To the right, the ground had been ripped up into a large mound from the impact of the space craft. What lie behind the shadowy figure was cast under the veil of smoke raising from the fields. Hidoshi closed his eyes and made a sign with his fingers, this special ninjitsu would give him the ability to levitate, without using much of his chawkra, for this battle he'd need it. He slowly made his way, floating on an invisible cloud of pure energy, toward his opponent. As his opponent was unveiled by the ever increasing light of day, Hidoshi paused for a moment. Though he'd seen many warriors who were larger than him, but were still mere childsplay, this was not one of these. This, man from another world was the real thing. His side intimidated Hidoshi for a moment, though he dared not show it. He couldn't help but look forward to the upcoming struggle. As he flew to what he deemed was about 40 yards from the man he stoped and locked eyes. The cold, dead eyes of his opponent sent shivers up his spine; he was here for one thing, and one thing alone...DEATH. Hidoshi dropped down into a ready stance, the word "challenge" came to mind. "If we are going to do this. Let it be you who strikes first!"
19. If you'd like this to grow at all and not just be a short arena style battle, you should stipulate that people can re-join as their characters are eliminated. This way people can have fun with it....I guess unless you wanted it to be a more serious thing. Name: Hidoshi Race: Human Height: 5'10 Weight: 180lbs Detail: Hidoshi is another reincarnation of the "Nine-Tailed Fox". He is 28 and has fully learned to combine his chakra and the chakra of the nine-tails that lives inside of him. Weapons: Hidoshi carries around a small ninja blade and a few throwing knives. His attacks are mostly based on melee and Chakra. He is very gifted in the art of ninjitsu. I'll let you lead off your post in a new thread, then I'll add my intro thread.
20. "V? What the hell's going on?" One second John was with Tetra in Principal Barnes' office, and the now he's standing in a field with Victoria. She was dressed in clothes from another time.....and so was he!? "V? Damnit Ryo, that's enough with the stupid nicknames. First you call me Cap, then Crapia, and I have no idea where V came from? Let's finish this off now!" Victoria pointed ahead of them. John glanced ahead and saw Eon and Catherine standing in front of the two, behind them was something far more sinister. A dark shadow, just looking at it made John's heart leap to his throat. Glancing back he saw Tetra, she looked like she was hurt. "Ryo...Ryo let's go...wake up Ry lets go." "JOHN WAKE UP!" John opened his eyes and saw the school nurse standing above him. "John Carpenter, wake up now!" He looked beside him and saw Tetra, she was unconscious still. He looked to the door and saw Victoria standing there. Before he could ask anyone anything, darkness rolled in again. And John passed out....again.
21. Due to some problems with my work PC, I probably won't be able to be active all day. I'm getting on before I head into work to make sure I got this posted for our official/unofficial count. Hopefully the network problem will be fixed and I'll be activley on all day to see how this goes. My fiancee is going to make sure I'm logged in later so I'll be here when the rush (hopefully) starts. Make sure you post if you're logged on so we can see how many we have, let's bring out that Otaku spirit that makes these boards so special. Drizzt Do'urden officially checking in.
22. "God damn this guys good" Greg jumped back snaping the whip forward with all his might. Once again, the tremor easily dodged the attack. Greg had to admit, this was the toughest battle he'd ever had. He couldn't believe the pilot was so easily capable of manuvering the heavy tremor unit. The tremor lunged forward suddenly cutting the distance between them down in no time. He opened fire with the odd looking gun he had in one hand. Greg had been expecting him to lead with the Heat sword, and barley had time to dodge. He dove to the side, crashing with a sickening thud. Luckily he'd taken no real damage and he was able to get back to his feet quickly, unluckily he got up just as a grenade from the shoulder mounted unit exploded just a few meters away sending him rearing. He landed on his ass, sensors going off everywhere. After he sprung to his feet he did a quick diagostic scan, luckily the damage was mostly superficial. No systems were damaged. "Okay you son of a bitch, you want to dish it out. Let's see if you can take it!" He closed the hailing frequency and said a quick few commands. "Johnson code 7 3 2 8 B" "Thank you Greg, command please" "Initiate God 725" "Initializing.......complete" Greg discarded the whip and armed his energy knife. His left hand began to grow a light bluish color. He could just see the pilot's face in his mind. Not many knew of the God gundam's special ability. Nor had they seen it used for a long time, the pilot had to be scared and Greg loved it. Greg dodged another grenade launched by the Tremor, and in a second was upon him. Slashing, punching, he wasn't hitting anything. He did everything he could to act like a rookie until he heard the sweetest thing in the world. "Power at 25% Private Johnson" That was all he needed to boost this battle in his favor. He led forward with a punch, making it painfully obvious he would fall short. As expected the tremor turned his body slightly to aim one of those deadly grenade launchers at his face. At the moment of truth, Greg released his palm sending forward a blast from his charged hand. The blast hit home, and with an explosion sent the tremor down. As Greg prepared to leap onto his foe and finish the job, three explosions rocked the ground in front of him. Causing him to jump back and get into a defensive stance. He realized at once what it was, the Tremor had enough sense to let a couple grenades fall from his other shoulder mounted unit. Setting a perfect trap for Gred, "Damn that was good, he would've definateally got me there." Greg thought as the tremor rose to his feet. He wasn't sure of the damage, but he did manage to take out one shoulder mounted grenade. He waited patientlly, his enemy knew nothing of the energy charge, so he didn't know a thing about the limits either. Every second he had to rest was another second closer to the big finalle. "725 Power at 10% and rising Private Johnson. All systems normal." Greg smiled, it seemed things were in his favor.
23. I don't play piano very much/well. My dad used to have a baby grand when I was little, he taught me a few things, really basic stuff. Scales, a couple cords, and little fun songs like twinkle twinkle, all the christmas tunes, greensleaves(I know falls under christmas but being my favorite I like to mention it specifically) I started working on more difficult pieces before he sold it, my favorite piano piece being Moonlight Sonata I had it almost all the way down. I haven't played, except playing with the niece's and nephew's mini keyboards. Stuff for them, all the songs I remember/can play with their little toy keyboards. (Actually helped score me a second date with my fiancee a long time ago. Playing for her nephew when we ran into her sis at the mall.) I'm planning on buying a baby grand when I get established in the next year or so, it was a fond memory of my childhood, and I always wanted to pick it back up. I played violin and Double Bass back in high school, so I'm musically inclined as it is. Plus music is something I want to share with my children, like my father did for me. And by the by, I dated a girl in high school who played alto Sax. I can't play a lick, but I did enjoy hearing her play for me.
24. "Okay are you ready to go check things out?" John asked Victoria as Catherine rounded the corner and was out of site. "Check what out?" "Check and see what the hell is going on between those two?" Victoria's eyes grew wide after John made the claim. Just then the bell rang and she snapped out of it. "There's no way I'm getting in trouble for ditching class. Especially to spy, later." She quickly walked off leaving John alone again. "Well I guess it's just me then." John made his way down the hall towards Eon's office, to eavesdrop on her and Catherine. When he reached the office he slowly opened the door into the small waiting area actually outside the office area. John crept up to the main office door where he could hear voices. He placed his ear against the door. Just as he did though, the door whiped open and there Eon stood with a sinister grin on her face. "Hello my little Ry.." Suddenly the main door from the hall flew open, and Tetra burst in red faced. "There you are John, I've been looking everywhere. Teach sent me looking for you since you never showed up. You might wanna hurry, he sorta told me if you weren't with the school nurse that I should give you a reason to go see her." She grinned wickedly, "You know me and dissapointing the teacher, I won't tolerate it." She tried cracking her knuckles to look intimidating. John just smiled at her perfect timing. "Sorry guess I have to run." John ran out of the room yanking Tetra out with him. Outside in the hall he whispered to her. "You haven't been to class yet have you?" He couldn't fight back the smile as she gave him the answer he expected. "No, I just thought you needed some help. Besides, you'll be able to hear better in this office." Tetra glanced around to see if they were being watched and flung the nearest door open. John's jaw dropped as he realized what room she'd taken them too. The principal's office! Tetra had gotten him in trouble before, and he figured though it was stupid to risk getting caught here, it would be worth it to see what Eon was up too.
25. I never made it to the British Museum in London, I did make it to the Tower of London, Warwick Castle, and Stone henge. The good thing about visiting England is you get a museum almost whatever site you visit. I'll have to say the same for the ToL, WC and SH they were all three awesome.
