Ok, here's the situation. My twin sisters and I are moving out of home in the coming weeks. We're moving from a large farm in the country to the centre of the capital city of our state. We've lived at our home for almost the entirety of our lives (spare 5 years for me, and 3 years for my sisters), so we haven't had much experience in moving. I just thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips for moving out of home, or moving in general. Anything relevant would be helpful. Thanks. - Redemption

Impressive Boss. The story really flows. I loved Gavin's introduction. 'Interesting... most interesting.' I think most of the regular OBers would have killed themselves laughing at the introduction. I most certainly enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next installment. - Redemption

If I need any names for my characters, I usually go to this website. The piece of paper he requested was taking an unusually long time to be processed. His long hazelhunt-blonde hair sat either side of his circular-framed glasses. Dark eyes peered through his glasses at the environment surrounding him. It was nothing unusual, except for the excessive amount of men that were squished into the small government office. Luckily, the man that had served him had asked for Neron to wait at his desk behind the service counter while his application was being made ready. The cause of the large gathering of men was the televised call for crew for the prototype ship called Obsession. Instead of picking out recruits for the battleship, the government decided to ask the public to sign up for the various positions a battleship's crew would need. This decision, however, made Neron wonder, and aroused his curiosity. If normal procedure had been followed, the best candidates from their respective fields would have been chosen for this new battleship. But this time around, Neron didn't believe that everything was going to follow normal procedure. The reason why he was in the recruiting office, along with several hundred other males, was he wanted to see what this recruiting form contained. " Here's your form sir," the young man that took his request said to the waiting doctor, breaking him from his thoughts. " Do you want to fill it out here?" " I think that would be most wise," Neron replied, taking the form from the young man's grasp and thanking him. The young man nodded and went back to the service counter. Neron looked down at the form and studied it closely. Two things jumped out at him as odd. First, the form asked for the applicant's gender. All the applicants would be male, Neron reasoned. He continued down to the second thing that he found odd, keeping the gender question in the back of his mind. The second thing was a warning about the conditions they would be under during their duty upon the Obsession. A small smirk graced his lips. Picking up a spare pen from the young man's desk, Neron went about filling the application form out.
Name: Neron Reinhardt Age: 27 (Third Generation) Gender: Male Position Aboard: Doctor Reasons for Application: I wish to expand my knowledge and skills while aboard the 'Obsession'. The chance to expand my skills would come from being able to treat many different types of patients, all with their unique attributes. In the past, I have been chosen to become the head doctor aboard various battleships but have declined the offers. This is because of the limited resources I would have upon their ships. However, I feel that the Obsession would be an exception to this case, and it would be a priveledge to be able to work upon the prototype ship.
Short, simple and straight to the point. Neron finished with his signature and then called over the young attendant. He handed the form to him, telling him to make sure he put it in with the other applications. The young attendant nodded and rushed off to do so. With a slight smile on his face, Neron walked out from behind the counter and pushed his way through the crowd to the door. Upon walking out of the small recruiting office, Neron found himself in the giant mechanical city that was Rasm's capital. He strode through the street, going down numerous dark, dank alleyways towards his apartment. A tornado of thoughts whirled through his mind as he opened the door to his apartment and made his way to one of the lounge chairs. Something was definitely different with this new battleship and the circumstances surrounding it and Neron was determined to find out just what was going on. OOC: Neron's appearance - Click me! Let?s get down to business. I will be implementing this RPG in a chapter-type system where one chapter is equal to one major event. Once that major event has passed, then we start a new chapter. This RPG was created to challenge the RP players of OB to think outside their comfort zone. I would like to emphasise that this RPG focuses mostly on character development, helped along by the events that happen in the storyline. Make sure you read the Underground thread [here] because it has essential pieces of information in it. WARNING: This RPG is challenging because of the nature of the storyline, so be prepared to think outside of the box. The storyline contains sexual content (with the exception of graphic sex scenes) and a few instances of gore and people joining this RPG are forewarned and should be well prepared. Make sure you read the Adventure Inn Sticky [here] about the PG rating before deciding to sign-up for this RPG. All questions should be posted in the Underground thread [here] or send to me via PM. Positions Available:

1 captain per gender [demonchild - male]
3 spacecraft fighters per gender
1 doctor (male only) [Redemption]
1 technologist/mechanic (either gender)
1 battleship pilot (either gender)
1 ship analyst/head of registrar (female only)
Job Application: I would like you to sign-up as your character applying for one of the positions on the ship. You can use my introduction above as an example if you wish. If you want an extra challenge in this RPG, I suggest you play a character that is the opposite sex to the one you are in real life. The information you need to include in your sign-up is:

Name
Age (between 22 and 35, say whether your character is second or third generation)
Gender (if not obvious, please make it clear)
Position your character is applying for (choose from one of the positions in the above section)
Reasons why your character is applying for this position (this could include some of your character?s personality traits, history and/or skills)
Name: Menerva Neith Age: 26 Gender: Female Nationality: Tuscan (Italian) Rank: Captain Appearance: See first attachment Menerva's hair is naturally the blue colour because of the over-exposure to type of lighting that is normally installed in computer rooms. Because of this, she decided to change her eye colour to pink to be truly different and to stand out. When not in uniform (which Menerva hates with vengeance), she wears the clothes seen in the attachment below. Personality: Menerva, more commonly called Min or Minnie, isn't your normal stereotyped computer hacker. Yes, she does wear glasses on the odd occassion and yes, she does like to be alone at times, but that is only because humanity frustrates her with its' insignificant quarrels. She likes her opinion to be heard amongst others, but because she hasn't much knowledge of battle or tactics, her voice is normally drowned out. Because of this, Min builds computer programs that allow her to imitate the factors on the battlefield, therefore has the ability to add her opinion into the fray. Chosen ?Knight? module/description: Reconnaissance [QUESTA] --> See second attachment for mech appearance Berserk mode: When in berserk mode, QUESTA is able to reach speeds far surpassing the mach series. Special ability: Min has the ability to write and rewrite any form of programming code known to her in a matter of moments. She can also learn most forms of coding in a short amount of time. Weapons: Mankiri (defensive in nature) Click for picture - here QUESTA's main weapon is the mankiri. It is used mostly in a defensive nature against spear/sword weilding mechs or just to tie up the opposition. QUESTA is also equipped with two laser/beam cannons that are used when Min has to resort to combat. They are positioned on the top of QUESTA. The main use of them is to scatter the enemy, more than actually hit them. Snippet: " Ohhhhhh! What now?" Menerva, more commonly known as Min or Minnie, glared at the numerous computer screens around her, all displaying that ever frustrating error message. Her pink eyes glinted madly as she read the error message. There was only so much frustration she could handle in one day. This was the third instance of the error within ten minutes. Feeling the fury boil inside of her, Min decided to leave it for the day. Being angry at the computers for the error message wasn't going to solve anything. She needed a break anyway. Standing up from her seat, Min tip-toed across the floor, dodging all her little robots that were scattered across the floor, and made her escape out the door. After a few minutes of dawdling down one of the hallways in deep thought, Min found herself in one of the smaller mess halls. The smell of coffee wafted beneath her nose. " Mmm..... coffee..... need caffeine..." Min muttered to herself as she walked over to the coffee machine. However, it was her mind playing tricks on her. A note was stuck to the front of the coffee machine. Min soon discovered, after she deciphered the loopy handwriting, that the machine was broken. Her shoulders sagged. " Nothing isn't going right for me today....." Notes: - In her room, Min has a lot of small, intelligent robots that she made [they can create choas aboard the ship if they are get out of her room] - Min has a twin sister that is still on the Europe Ark - her appearance differs substantially to Min, creating the illusion that the two aren't related at all OOC: Not my best, but finally finished.

They all looks good guys. Probably one more request I should have put in. Could you make the pictures a little more busy/detailed? I'm meaning unique as in I like so many different things that I haven't found anyone that likes almost exactly the same things as me. If you could include a picture representation of what I said above, I would be veyr grateful.

Let's Abolish Profanity in Adventure Square/Reform thread
Redemption replied to Charles's topic in Help & Feedback
I think that most people relate the ratings to what we see on TV nowdays. Until I read Ozy's post in this thread, I realised that most of my RPGs that I rated with [M], I could have rated with [PG]. Guilty for not reading the ratings sticky properly. As for the profranity filter, personally, I don't have a problem with it. As other people have mentioned, people who are good posters and only swear when they feel it is necessary to the story wouldn't really have a problem with it. This discussion is extremely relevant to me at the moment as I'm creating an RPG that contains sexual themes. It is essentially about the relationship between man and woman. I'd like to think that people wouldn't take it too far (graphic sex scenes) but they would have to think outside of the box because of the specific situation that has occured in the storyline. If the Adventure Square were to be reformed, what would happen to this RPG? - Redemption -
Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on OB. Anyway, I'd like to ask for a new avi and banner. I just want this sentence on the banner: Am I too unique? Other than that it's up to you and your creativity. Thanks. - Redemption

It seems my choice of words has confused some people. Apologies. Without a better word on hand, I meant controlled as in the creator of the RPG has input as in events, twists, chapters, so forth. Whereas uncontrolled was meant to be the people participating in the RPG made the storyline themselves (the creator just gives them a starting point/storyline). But I do tend to agree with most people on the subject. Thanks for the help. It seems I'll have to work on my newest RPG a little more before I put it up in the Inn. Comments are still welcome.
-
It seems like it's a very delicate balance - something that will take a long time to master, if you are able to master it at all. Then I will also add this question to the mix: Which do you prefer: Controlled or Uncontrolled? You can add your two cents into the mix with the first question as well.
-
This question has plagued me a fair bit while I've been making RPGs lately. The question of whether making the RPG controlled rigourously by myself (AKA the creator of an RPG), or to let people have creative freedom, where they make the storyline up as they go. What do you others look for in an RPG, controlled or uncontrolled wise. I know there will be a lot of different opinions, but it seems I'm having a lot of hassle with this question of late. A response with a supporting arguement is most welcome.

OOC: You forgots about me ;_; Kyne's eyebrow arched as the humming of the forcefield echoed painfully in his ears. A growl resonated from his throat. The humming was painful and irritating at best. But what concerned him more was why Alexia didn't put the forcefield up when they first arrived. He felt annoyed at this girl's seemingly whimsical attitude towards this whole fiasco. True, Alexia did seem knowledgeable about the spawn and the Gods' souls, but to him, she has portrayed an image of unjustified behaviour. And to Kyne, that was one of the most infuriating things about people. " Before we see to the others, is there anything you would like to know? I'm sure I can answer almost any of your questions. Any of you." Kyne didn't listen if there was any questions from Cole or Marquis, his gaze darting from Alexia to an unconscious Aurelia. Mayon was perched on his shoulder. The crow ruffled his wings with discontent. Master.... all this waiting... I know Mayon. I'm losing my patience with her. Kyne referred to Alexia as her. What do you intend to do about it? She is technically the leader of this outfit. I have a question I wanted answered first. Kyne could hear no more questions being asked so he approached Alexia with a glowering look upon his face. She looked up at him with a cautious expression. " Yes Kyne?" she asked. " I want to speak to you... alone," he replied, his tone oozing with iciness. Alexia looked mildly shocked but followed him out into a corridor, away from the room Cole, Marquis and Aurelia were in. He wanted to make sure no one would overhear their converstation. Going into a small sideroom, Kyne turned around and faced Alexia. He looked deadly serious as he asked her one seemingly simple question. " What is Kairi?" OOC: Veritas and KG, you have the opportunity to ask Alexia questions before Kyne takes her away. In the 'Kyne didn't listen if there was any questions from Cole or Marquis' bit.

Rusti's eyes widened when she heard Artek ask her out on a date. Did he really ask her that? Was she dreaming? She turned around to face him. Artek looked like he was about to burst out laughing. Now she understood. " Sorry Artek... I don't think I'm date material at the moment," Rusti replied, feeling a tinge of anger at his joke. It wasn't like Artek to make a joke like that. There was no way that he could have been serious. Behind her, Artek's shoulder fell and he put that stern face of his back on again. Rusti ignored him, her rage within her just fuelled by the numerous replayings of his joke in her mind. A growl eminated from her throat as she worked on her Phoenix's damaged wings. ================== Hours later, Rusti had finished only a little of the damage on her Phoenix. She had been working non-stop for about 4 hours, trying to get her Phoenix in some sort of shape. But by then, she was sick of working on it and retreated to her quarters. As she walked down the corridor to her team's rooms, Rusti past the intelligence room. Peering inside, she noticed that everyone was rushing around, paper going everywhere, screens lighting up people's faces. Rusti thought it was strange that the pilots of the MechAnimas were not given any orders but the punishments or the obvious repairing of their MechAnimas. It seemed that the rest of the station was in an uproar with the sudden and semi-unexplained attack on one of the Wire stations. She wondered what kind of information they were gathering, and what they could make out of the attack. Battle information, like the enemy's strategies and formations, would be highly useful to her and her teammates. But it probably wasn't high on the priority list at the moment. Rusti continued on walking, passing the mess hall. She didn't feel like eating, even though she had been working hard on her MechAnima. All she wanted was somewhere to let her frustration out before she took it out on anyone else. First Trysten, then Artek. Soon she would turn all her friends against her. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as her shoulders hunched over. After asking for some directions from a passerbyer, Rusti changed her destination to the gym. The forces she experienced in the Launch Cannon and out in space were beyond her expectations. It was hardly what she trained for. Space was hard to imitate on Earth. Upon finding a treadmill, Rusti made sure her clothing wasn't going to hinder her in her workout and began running - slowly at first but gradually became faster and faster. Earphones were blaring in her ears. They were connected to the treadmill. At least the people up here had some sort of sense. OOC: Talon, Rusti took Artek's request as a joke because of the look on his face when he did it. Don't take it to heart too much. Rusti isn't in the greatest of moods at the moment. ^^; -
Kyne guided Aurelia the one of the large lounge rooms, making her sit down on one of the comfortable crouches so she would calm down. She was extremely skittish from their last spawn attack. Now, it seemed, the spawn were more daring than ever. " Take deep breaths," he said calmly, still standing, facing her. She looked up at him, tears leaking from the sides of her eyes and running down her cheeks. To his surprise, she jumped up and threw her arms around his waist, nuzzling her nose into his long trenchcoat. Kyne gave a sigh and put a comforting hand on her shoulder, his facial expression not changing. However, a slight, eerie scratching noise caught Kyne's attention. It was the same scratching that spawn made when they were sneaking up on their prey. His eyes narrowed sharply, his face contorted with a menacing expression of fury. One of the foul creatures burst through the glass window, the sound of shattering glass making Kyne's head swivel around to his attacker. His anger flared and peaked. Spikes of black-blue ice sprang up from the floor, impaling the attacking spawn almost instantly. Aurelia screamed in horror as their bodies squirmed around on the spikes in a post-humous fit. Marquis appeared in the doorway, looking in shock as the ice receded from the ground. He looked to Kyne who had caught an unconscious, falling Aurelia. The attack was a little too much for the young girl and she fainted. heaving her into his arms, Kyne now looked over to Marquis who looked back with a searching look. " Spawn. They attacked through the window," Kyne said shortly, going through the doorway, careful not to bump the limp body of his servant on the way through. Marquis followed the formidable man as he made his way to Alexia. Her eyes were full of shock and horror as Kyne gently placed Aurelia down on the floor, Cole rushing over and propping the girl's head up on a pillow. He looked up at the young woman before him. " Alexia. We can't stay here much longer. Spawn are gathering." His tone was almost commanding. " It would be unwise to stay here any longer, with or without others." OOC: Let me know if you want anything changed deary.

Rusti had been sitting in the common room, skimming through her MechAnima's damage report when Emi entered the room. Immediately, things went semi-ballastic, her energy infecting most around her. The long, black haired young woman sighed, looking severely at Emi, her glare not being noticed. She was still infuriated at the scientists for sending them out in half-finished, prototype machines of war. Luckily for them, Clyne had warned her against taking her anger out on them. Footsteps approached her and stopped dead in their tracks. Rusti looked up at the formidable appearance of Cassidy standing like a statue, not far away from her, his body facing hers. His gaze was drawn to the upper part of her chest, where the necklace lay. The whole incident with the ANGEL Wire station had completely pushed the party from her mind. But, mentally, she shrugged. Why did she care? Cassidy was a law unto himself. Nothing she could do or say would stop him doing what he did best. A flame lit up in the pit of Rusti's stomach as she heard Cassidy's footsteps recede. She didn't need any distractions now, not when there was a lot of work to be done. Standing swiftly, Rusti made her way out into the hall, heading towards the air division's hanger. She made sure she was taking her time getting there, just in case her anger flared up again. Giant metallic steel doors opened when Rusti swiped her access card through them. Her SOUL module was still in the MechAnima, which, according to the damage report, was very dangerous. But as she entered the enormous room, a string of foul language and a loud metallic clang grazed her ears. "Oh, damnit, Jarek, can't you fucking stay still?!?! And stop snickering, ya bastard eagle! Don't think just because people can't see you I won't throw this wrench at you, I KNOW it'll bounce o-er...." Artek was up on his Eagle, covered in grease and oil, his bare chest also iced in space dust. He had stopped talking as he turned and saw that Rusti was watching his antics with a raised eyebrow. " Uh.... hiya...." " .... Right...." Rusti said softly, sure that Artek wasn't able to hear her mutterings. She made her way over to her damaged MechAnima, looking over it with a pained look. It was maginificent only hours earlier. It was almost heartbreaking to see its' damaged skeleton now. " Uh... hi, there, Rusti....hehe...." Artek said again, awkwardly. " Hi." Her tone was a little colder and more harsh than she would have like, but that anger was beginning to unfurl inside of her at the sight of her MechAnima. Rusti flicked her long black hair out of the way before heading to the female changerooms. She dressed herself in a tank-top and thigh-length jeans. After looking at her hair in the mirror, Rusti put it up in a simple bun, obviously trying to prevent her hair from getting caught in the mechanics. Walking out of the changeroom, she made her way over to her Phoenix, scanning the damage report as she approached it. Her eyes wandered over the warped steel structure. A soft, exasperated sigh escaped her lips. " How damaged is your eagle?" -

OOC: Sorry about the delay. " All MechAnima pilots to the strategy room, IMMEDIATELY!!" Air Marshall Hagan roared over the overhead speaker system. Rusti's head swivelled around to the source of the irritated voice. What was it now? They had just returned from a near-kamikaze mission with severely damaged MechAnimas and he sounded like he was going to scold them like small children. Inside of her, a feral growl resonated. Turning on her heal, Rusti left her heavily-scarred Phoenix behind in the hanger and trudged up to the strategy room, trying to take as long as she could to prolong the silence before the storm. Behind her, footsteps echoed loudly in the hallway. She paused and looked around behind her. Clyne and Trysten walked passed her, giving her a weak smile. They looked as grave as Rusti. She had heard Trysten's enraged outburst, aimed at Professor Stian. Rusti just hoped there wouldn't be severe repercussions for his rash actions. After them came Artek. Rusti chuckled as she continued walking after seeing the expression on the young man's face. Did he ever change? The air division finally came to the strategy room, hearing muffled voices from inside. They all took a deep breath before walking inside, greeting theirs friends - the ground division as they entered. Air Marshall Hagan stood formidably in the front of the chairs, his thick muscular arms crossed in front of his broad chest. Rusti sat down, looking up at her commanding officer with an unimpressed look. He cleared his throat, calling for silence. " Now..." he started, his eyes glowing darkly. " Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the completion of your first mission." There were unenthusiastic murmurs between the members of the divisions. " Secondly, I have the damage reports and battle statistics from the mission." He handed each of the pilots a small folder full of paper. Rusti sighed. More paperwork. " Lastly, it has come to my attention that some of you have already made yourselves well known around the station. Does the party ring a bell?" The Air Marshal's voice was full of spite and annoyance. His gaze was firmly fixed on Ajack. " You may be the newest recruits to ANGEL Wire but that doesn't excuse your actions at the party, no matter what the cause was." The last comment was aimed at Clyne and Rusti who were going to tell him their protests. " Disciplinary action will now be enforced. Lieuntenants Masters, Balde, Stevens, Geiger and Charon, you are being assigned to cleaning duties for seven days, starting from today. You will be cleaning the halls in the early morning and late evening, and at meal times, you are to be in the kitchen, washing dishes. Do you understand?" There was a murmured reply of agreement before they were dismissed. All of them were silent as they trudged back to their quarters, their reports and punishments in hand. Rusti opened the door to the female dormitory and threw her report on her bed, leaving it for later. She made her way into the common room and searched the fridge for something alcoholic. After finding a bottle of vodka, she found a shot glass and sat down at the table. Poruing herself a drink, she stared at it for a few minutes before downing it. Rusti slumped back in the chair and stared up at the ceiling. A fluttering sound alerted her to her invisible friend's appearance. Tough battle? Kamikaze material. Drinking yourself into misery? No... just having one to relax. What about the whole incident with Cassidy? Rusti's mind flickered to the necklace he gave her. She sighed heavily. That'll have to wait. I have a MechAnima to repair. -
Faint rays of light filtered through the canopy of the dense forest. Up ahead of him, Kyne could see Aesera and Alexia talking to each other. Their faces were contorted with the seriousness of the matter they were talking to each other on. He even thought he heard his name mentioned once or twice. Alexia?s sideway glance was a dead giveaway. Aurelia shuddered in the tense air. The group, Kairi now with them, had already encountered some of the spawn Alexia had warned them about ? both human and beast alike. Kyne was a little taken aback when the wolves attacked them, their bodies and minds taken over by the spawn. Like Alexia, he hadn?t seen spawn infest a beast?s body, although he had seen them try. That?s how he came to be the master of Mayon. Speaking of the crow, his head was swivelling around, peering into the lightening darkness of the forest. Aurelia winced once or twice when she felt the grip of the crow?s taloned feet tighten too much. ? Mayon?? Kyne warned, hearing the young girl wince. Forgive me. The tension is too much. The crow fluttered over to his master?s right shoulder, managing dodge the blade that was slung across Kyne?s shoulders. To Kyne?s surprise, when the crow?s feet dug in, he felt nothing. The pain from the burned design had also completely vanished. However, the normally faint sensation of Mayon sitting there was also gone. This wasn?t what he was expecting. Was this the God of Hatred?s work? Dawn was now breaking in the outside world of the forest. Kyne could expect that people would have seen the great billowing mass of smoke that once was Alexia?s home and would have called the authorities, mainly, the World Police. They would find Alexia?s mother?s body and possibly evidence that could incriminate Alexia if she was to appear in public. After all, there was an armoury with sophisticated weapons that would most likely been outlawed in most countries. Kyne knew how their minds worked. If they didn?t find her body in the wreckage, they would assume that she was still breathing. No doubt they would send search parties for the girl and the remaining, living staff. That would present problems. But, there was a sense of reassurance inside of him. Despite not knowing much about these people around him, he could see some of them were capable of holding their own in a fight. Marquis and Eve, Alexia and Aesera. They seemed like the ones he could depend on to not get themselves in compromising situations. However, he had yet to see Kairi in battle, and Cole was still inexperienced from what he had seen. He would have to observe them closely and make sure they were close when combat arose. What is it Kyne? Mayon asked, looking down at his master with curious but concerned eyes. Make sure you keep a very close eye on Kairi and Cole. Make sure they don?t get themselves into any trouble. Are you concerned about them? Kyne gave an irritated huff and didn?t reply to the inquisitive crow?s question. He wondered why the crow asked questions he already knew the answers to.

The forest around them was dark and musty. Kyne?s skin crawled. It felt like it had something magical within it, although his common sense told him it was probably just the age of the air that surrounded them. Aurelia clung to his arm as the group walked briskly through the undergrowth, the roars of the titan Omega getting duller and duller as they continued on through the dimly lit environment. His great sword was perched across his shoulders, one edge digging into his coat. Mayon had perched himself on Aurelia?s right shoulder, his eyes sparkling with a dark light. Kyne? Omega is here. Kairi isn?t with the group either, the crow said to his master through their mental connection. Kyne?s facial expression darkened. Many thoughts ran through his mind. Most were angered ones aimed at the rampaging titan. But some were also critical thoughts about the people around his, especially Alexia and her mother. He had seen the older woman die in the mansion?s collapse and Alexia?s anguish at this moment, but he felt nothing. Kyne looked down at his own hand ? the one that the red diamond had melded into. He hadn?t felt anything?. nothing at all. He couldn?t feel the weight of the sword on his shoulders, or the touch of Aurelia on his arm. Mentally, he knew they were there, but he couldn?t feel it. Mayon noticed his master?s discomfort. What?s wrong? Kyne looked over to his pet and shook his head, not able to express what he was feeling in a few select words. Up ahead, he could hear a soft sob from Alexia once and a while. His dark eyes looked up at her figure stalking through the undergrowth ahead. Something tragic happened on this night. OOC: sorry about the crappy post but I'm feeling a little down... sorry again

Rusti sighed with relief inwardly as the missile distracted the Pegasus enough for Trysten to take it out. But the relief did live long. A barrage of bullets pierced the tip of her left wing as the Sparrow raced past in a blur. She felt a white hot rage run through her. The scars on her shoulders even felt the heat. ? We only have to drive them away guys. Tough it out a little longer,? Trysten?s voice came over the intercom. Rusti felt infuriated and she needed something or someone to take it out on. ? If we get back in one piece, remind me to slaughter the scientists,? she growled over the intercom but to no one in particular. ? For some reason, I?ll take that threat seriously,? Trysten replied, a tone of disapproval in his voice. There was silence from Rusti?s end as she went after the Wyvern in a desperate attempt to drive them off. The smouldering wreckage of the ANGEL Wire station could be seen out of the corner of her eye. The intensity of the flame inside her grew. Rusti then noticed something. The attacks from the remaining two MechAnimas were becoming less frequent, as if the loss of the Pegasus was enough for them to retreat. And that?s exactly what they were doing. Rusti made her Phoenix hover for a few moments as she watched in astonishment as the two flying MechAnimas disappeared into the darkness of space. Confusion was evident on her face, but it was clear that their enemy had been given the orders to retreat. Clyne?s face appeared on the LCD screen to her left. ? Did anyone see what I just saw?? There was a definite tone of confusion in her voice. ? They retreated?? Artek added, stating the obvious. ? Why doesn?t it feel right for our first victory?? Rusti mumbled, her Phoenix not moving an inch from where she had made it hover. ? I don?t think it was a victory,? Trysten replied. ? More of a mutual agreement to retreat.? Rusti sat there before Trysten ordered them to fly back to the station. As she manoeuvred the Phoenix into land, Rusti wondered how the others were doing down below, and if the same thing happened to them. ====================================================== OOC: Sorry about the crappy post guys. It?s getting late here and I have to drive home. Basically, the enemy will retreat after losing one of their MechAnimas. For the ground division, you will be taken back to the station the same way as you launched, but in reverse. -
A rough hand grabbed Aurelia as the titan Omega crashed into the beautifully old house. Pieces of ceiling and wall flew everywhere as the titan made its presence known to all the inhabitants of the house. Kyne roughly pulled Aurelia along as he heard Alexia shout orders at him to follow her down to the armoury, dodging bits and pieces of the ceiling as it eventually collapsed around them. The ache in his mind ? the one he know recognised as Omega ? was throbbing painfully, making his head feel like it was going to explode. Spawn followed the initial attack of Omega. They flooded through the house, screams of the servants echoing clearly in his ears. He pushed Aurelia in front of him, making sure she was right behind Alexia as he, the two girls and Kabato ran down a hall towards the armoury, ploughing through the spawn as they rushed towards them. They attacked from both sides. Kyne recognised the tactics and fought off the ones they decided to attack the group from behind. Kabato fought off the ones who attacked front one until they reached the armoury. Alexia desperately tried the door, only to find it locked. She turned to Kyne as he watched for more spawn. ? Can you kick the door?? Kyne looked a little surprised. He thought it was rather stupid of them to leave the armoury locked when they knew perfectly well that a titan was rampaging in the city nearby. He swiftly turned around, moving the two girls away and kicked the door in. They all filtered inside, Kyne putting the door back in place just to keep the spawn out as they waited for Alexia?s instructions. Aurelia looked nervously around, sidling over to Kyne who she felt the safest with. Kabato was watching the door as well, ready for the oncoming of spawn when they left the room. Alexia looked at Aesera and asked her a question. ? Aesera, can you probe everyone?s minds to see what weapons their soul is best accustom to?? Aesera nodded, knowing that they couldn?t waste anymore time on this. She closed her eyes and concentrated. They all stood there patiently as Aesera probed everyone?s minds. They were silent, only the desperate noise of the spawn outside was heard. Before long, it looked like Aesera knew everyone?s preferences. Kyne watched as she turned slightly towards him. But, to her surprise, and to the others around her, she was knocked off her feet, crumpling in a heap on the floor as a sharp searing pain flashed through her mind. Alexia looked shocked and bent down to Aesera. ? What?s wrong?? she asked, sounding concerned in some way. Aesera said nothing in reply, but glared up at Kyne. Kyne arched his eyebrow. Alexia and Aesera stood slowly, Aesera?s glare still upon him. ? I have everyone?s preferences. All except for him,? she said, nodding towards Kyne to indicate who ?him? was. Alexia looked up at Kyne with a searching look. But by this time, the sounds of the spawn were growing louder, which meant they didn?t have any time to waste. ? Right then,? Alexia started, still looking at Kyne. ? Go choose your weapon Kyne while we get the others.? Kyne nodded once, showing he acknowledged the order before walking off down the room in a hurried way, Aurelia following him obediently. Moments later, Kyne returned with a huge great sword perched across his shoulders. Aurelia was waiting by his side, looking terrified at the noises of the spawn that were quickly advancing. OOC: Takuya, I have permission from DC for that to happen to your character. But, if you want me to change it (as in the reaction your character had), then PM me.

Dear dear... seems like I'm not the only one who hasn't posted. Sorry about the absence. My internet at home died a painful death when a nasty tornado-like storm hit about a week ago. It still isn't working yet. So my posts will be jarred. So sorry about this. ^^; Blame mother Nature, although, I'm sure she'll turn around and bite back. -
Behind Kyne, the sounds of a quartet of musicians echoed melodiously through the grand room. A plate was set down in front of him from his left, Aurelia?s delicate hand trembling as she withdrew away. Mayon had moved himself to the girl?s shoulder, trying to make comfort her in the presence of Kyne. Kyne looked down at the meal Aurelia had brought him. Interestingly enough, it was his favourite meal. A thick fillet of steak, cooked to perfection, with crisp potato chips and a small pot full of thick peppercorn gravy. For a moment, Cole could have sworn a small smile curved an edge of Kyne?s lips before he took up his cutlery and began to eat. The food was delicious. The aromas of everyone?s meals made his stomach ache for more. As he continued to eat, soft conversations began around the table. Beside him, Eve and Zech were talking amongst themselves joyously, as if they weren?t in the company of strangers. His eyes wandered over to Alexia and Cole. The two were talking softly, if not awkwardly with each other. But every now and again, Cole would glance towards Kyne. Kyne would guide his look from her and to the window near her when she looked. He then looked to Marquis and Kairi. The two were talking to each other in short spurts as they ate their meals. That boy ? he must be the youngest of them all. For one so young, he seemed to fit in rather well. Kyne looked around the table, realising he was the oldest of the group. A small smile thinned his lips, but it vanished as soon as it came. ? Aurelia,? he said clearly. The young girl jumped slightly as she heard Kyne say her name. She quickly stepped towards him. ? Y-Yes sir?? ? Red wine. I would like some.? ? Certainly sir. Any particular one you have in mind?? Kyne shook his head, and with that, Aurelia disappeared into the kitchen ? Mayon still perched on her shoulder ? obviously going to fetch the drink that he requested. Moments later, the young maid returned with a bottle in her hand. She put it down carefully and took his wine glass. After popping the cork with a little difficulty, she poured the rich red liquid into the glass without it sloshing around much. ? Thank you,? Kyne said as she finished pouring and put the bottle down in a bucket of ice nearby him. Aurelia blushed at his gratitude and stepped back into her place in the line of waiters and waitresses. He took a sip of the wine. Very nice. As he savoured the flavour of the wine, his eyes wandered over to Alexia. That sense of power around her intrigued him.
