1. I didn't myself either, I have to wait until this weekend when I get paid...Damn...Friday just doesn't get here fast enough...
2. Well, today is the official release of the first of the Final Four DVD's: Volume 29: "Bandits and Kings" a.k.a The formal introduction of Yoko Kurama's past. I'll try to keep you all posted on the release dates and such of Yu Yu Hakusho. So far, what I've got from Media Play's online site is that the next DVD, Volume 30: King Urameshi, will come out on April 19th. Dates are subject to change and like I said, I will try to keep you posted on the latest Yu Yu news. Your Yu Yu Hakusho guide, *~Jung-Woo~*
3. This takes me on a major flashback... I was about seven years old when I witnessed Tenchi Muyo! for the first time on Cartoon Network. It became my favorite show and I loved Ryo-oh-ki. Just because everyone called it a "cabbit" and it turned into a spaceship. I wanted to grow up and be like Sasami, because she cooks and takes care of everyone around her. Everyone is totally dependent on her. My little brother came up with the idea to listen to Tenchi on speed when I got my first DVD. He figured that since Ayeka's voice is so high pitched, she sounded like a squirrel on speed. It was pretty funny. I later got into Dragon Ball Z but lost track of that a short time after.
4. Amongst the madness going around in the castle with a slave girl named Sarah and some of the guards disappearing, Maaya was walking around trying to find something to busy herself with. This castle seemed like that kind of place, "You're not doing something, you're worthless. Worthless people die." She shuddered at the thought. King Daimon would personally ensure her execution if she proved that she wasn't pulling her weight. She walked around watching others run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Maaya didn't realize it, but she turned a corner too sharply and ran into the Lady Ashrel. As she fell onto her backside, a sword was resting just beneath her chin. "Girl, I have every right to slit your throat." She said through clenched teeth. "My lady, I'm so sorry, I was walking around looking for something to make myself useful with." She replied, trembling slightly. "Oh don't you worry. You are one of the King's new slave girls, right?" Ashrel withdrew her sword and sheathed it. "Yes, ma'am." "He'll find you useful when he wants to. You shouldn't be so impatient, it draws him closer." Ashrel said as she walked on. Later on, Maaya made her way out to the courtyard. There, she glanced at Sir Rion Marquise, staring intensely at the water of the stream. He was obviously in deep thought. She turned around to see Amaya leading Sarah from a corridor out of the dungeons. "He'll find you useful when he wants to. You shouldn't be so impatient, it draws him closer." The thought of what Lady Ashrel had said troubled Maaya to some extent. It made her feel...dirty... " I need to bathe." She replied to herself and walked back into the maze of corridors in the castle.
5. Man...you are so....awesome! Thank you so much! And no, the pic of Ryuichi is perfect. I wouldn't change it for the universe! And thank you for your kind welcome. It's much appreciated.
6. Uh...well...around school is where I've gotten most of my nicknames. Spawn of Satan - I got it from this creepy pot-smoking kid in my Biology class(...yeah Chibi, the one with the hippie teacher and the Grateful Dead stuff.) because I was "mean" because I told him to go away and quit trying to copy my homework. Rika - I actually prefer this one to most of the other ones. My friends think it's the Japanese version of my real name. Rhi - Well, it started out in sixth grade when my student teacher couldn't say my full name (Rhiannon). So he just started calling me Rhi, it eventually caught on with the whole class. Jung-Woo - my user name on here. I went through a quiet period last year where I didn't say much. My friend and I were both reading Kill Me/Kiss Me at the same time and one day she just called me that. Shigure - That's my puppy dog name that was given to me by Liz...and...that's a long story.
7. Maaya had been witness to Lord Marquise's brawl and some of Lady Ashrel's dance. When she shut the door she had opened, Ashrel had killed the first man. She ran down the hallway and then remembered that she didn't know where her chambers were anymore. "Damn." She cursed to herself as she continued wandering around the castle. Later on, Maaya watched as some of the guards escorted a rather intoxicated noblewoman somewhere. As they left, she crept around the corner to the main door of the Central Court. It hadn't shut all the way, and she heard King Daimon's voice barking orders at some guards. "Now get a hold of all those girls, lock them in their rooms, place someone at every exit and window and make sure no one gets in or out of here! Someone find Ashrel and NOW!" Damion bellowed as he stormed back into the building. Maaya didn't want to be near this man when he was angry, and there was no way in hell that she was going to take a chance now. She tried to run behind a pillar that was close to the door. But before she could make it, she felt something clutch her wrist. She turned around to see the King himself. "Your highness..." She managed to breathe out. "And where have you been this entire time?" He sneered at her. "Sir, I was just-" She began. "Save it!" He growled as he dragged her by the arm back towards the corridor of the servant's chambers. "Sire, please...loosen the grip on my arm." She pleaded as she realized that they were almost to her room. He let go and opened the door to her chambers, shoving her inside and walking in after. "So...which one are you, servant?" He asked, forcing her chin up with his hand. "Maaya...Maaya Joston, your highness..." She replied, shaking. "I see." He nodded. "Well Maaya, don't try to leave or you will be killed." He grinned and let go of her face, walking out silently and shutting the door behind him. A click was heard, and Maaya realized that she was now locked in. Still shaking, she collapsed to the floor with fatigue. She crawled over to the bed and quickly fell asleep.
8. Maaya continued to clean up the table with the other girls. She made haste however, because of the fact of what had happened to that other girl. She wasn't stupid. 'I don't know if I can handle this.' She thought to herself and bit her lip slightly as she wiped off some crumbs off of the table. 'I hope that I can live up to the standards that the King expects of us. If I don't, will I be killed?' After she was finished, Maaya walked silently back to her room and changed back into her normal clothing. 'It is odd. To think that the King, as brutal as he may seem, has this many "friends". I wonder how many of them truly like him besides the Lady Ashrel.' She let down her hair and shook her head. 'Things shouldn't have to be like this. I don't want to live in fear of another person...' Maaya thought to herself and eventually, she got the idea that she could walk down to the Center Court to see what was happening. As she slipped from corridor to corridor, she finally made it back to the Central Court and crept around to find another door. When she opened it slightly, the sight she saw made her eyes widen.
9. I was thinking earlier today...for once...^__^...and this topic came to mind. Chibi Horsewoman, I think I'd get stuck on a desert island with you, because maybe, we could make that thing that you were talking about...that whole New York thing...I don't remember...A tourist's guide to New York, I think. We'll just write a book. Wouldn't that be fun? Miryoku, he's a guy, but he loves Gackt! We could listen to Gackt all day long...great, now I've got "Marmalade" stuck in my head again. Damn. And Panda, I'd pick you too regardless of what you said...you seem really nice. And I get along well with nice people.
10. Maaya sat in the corridor that she had been ushered to, and was waiting by sitting patiently on the bed. She looked around to see candlebras standing in the corners of the room, flame flickering from them, and a small armoire with a strange box on top of it. A mirror and table sat in the far corner near the door. The same old woman walked in and locked the door behind her. "You must be Maaya." She said in a rather raspy tone. "Yes, ma'am. I am Maaya Joston." The young girl replied with a shaky tone and bowed her head slightly, allowing some of that raven black hair to fall around her face. "I apologize if my tone seems a little awkward. I am still trying to adjust to the new surroundings, it makes me just a little nervous." "Well, as I told that other girl...Sarah, I think her name was...that you should not be afraid, you are not the first and will not be the last." "So am I to do whatever you say?" Maaya looked up at the old woman and noticed the wrinkles on the face that came with the wisdom that she seemed to possess with old age. "No, the King is to do whatever he wants with you. I am only here to prepare you for tonight's feast." "Is it a special occasion?" Maaya asked in a childish tone. "It is your arrival, along with the other five." The old woman replied as she pulled out some sort of red cloth and set it next to Maaya. "What am I to do with this?" Maaya asked as she picked at it with her fingertips, realizing that much wouldn't be left for the imagination. "You're to wear it, my child." The old woman said with a smirk, seeing Maaya's slight disgust. "Please ma'am, if I may just wear the clothing I have on-" "No, you are to wear this, it is the King's command." 'I was taught to obey.' Maaya tried to repeat herself. 'I was taught to obey...' "Fine." Maaya said with a soft voice. "If it is the King's wishes." "Your hair." The old woman sat down beside Maaya and ran her bony fingers through the long tresses. "What is wrong with my hair, ma'am?" Maaya sighed. "Nothing, I'm just going to put it up and out of your pretty little face." She replied, that smirk still there. "V-very well." Maaya began to shake slightly. The old woman let go of Maaya's hair and walked over to a small jewelry box that stood above the small wooden armoire where that appalling "dress" came from. She pulled out a long red ribbon. It looked new to Maaya and she remembered her own that she had tied around her left wrist. "Now hold still, my child, this should only take a moment or two." She said as her hands went to work. Maaya felt her hair being pulled up gently and two long strands on the edges of her forehead fell to her sides. The ribbon was wrapped quickly around the ponytail that had formed in a sloppy, yet seductive manner. "There. Now, get dressed. A guard will be here to escort you to the dinner." "Thank you, ma'am." Maaya bowed her head once more and the woman left. "Now what am I to do with this...thing?" She picked up the nearly transparent cloth and slipped it on over the clothes she had on then. Maaya ran over to the armoire and searched frantically through the other clothes. A mid-calf length, silky white dress hung at the end. Maaya smiled, pulled it out and threw it on. A perfect fit. A few minutes later, Maaya was fully dressed. To not totally disobey the King, she wore the garment that was given to her over the dress. It looked nice to Maaya, and she enjoyed what she had done. The white dress was covered by the gauzy thin red cloth and looked rather nicely. The red cloth had sleeves that hooked around each of Maaya's thumbs and it extended to her knees. "There!" She smiled. "All I have to do is wait." She walked over to a chair that accompanied the desk, sat down, and began to sing lightly.
11. I am Native American, and most Natives nowadays find someone outside of their race to share their lives with. Although I am part of one of the last "purebred" families, I always grew up knowing myself that I was not going to be with a Native man, it's just a thing. I don't really like the boys around here, a lot of them will become drunks. And I know that I've got a decent shot with others outside of my race, in fact, I expect that I will find someone possibly black, white, Japanese, you never know and as long as we get along, I could care less. My Global History teacher told us that all of her nieces and nephews married Asian people, and she loves her newborn half-Korean grandchild. She loves it and can't get over it.
12. Although it was noted that the cast (Justin Cook, Chuck Huber, John Burgmeier, and Christopher R. Sabat and others) had just finished doing the commentary for the last Three Episodes, the Last Volume, Yusuke Rediscovered, is scheduled to come out around Late Summer/Fall of 2005. FUNimation is doing this by waiting every other month to send one DVD out. Each DVD contains three episodes, and there are only four more DVD's to come out. Bandits and Kings, King Urameshi, Dreams of Power, and Yusuke Rediscovered are the names of the Final Four. So, putting all of this into account, the next twelve episodes are coming out in sets of three, each roughly two months apart. So the next release date is February 22nd, and the others should be coming out in April, June, and August. Enjoy Yu Yu while you can kids, because it's almost over... :bawl:
13. I looked at your RPG and it looks intriguing. Here's my stats. Name: Maaya Joston Age: 19 Height: 5'4" Weight: 126 lbs Gender: Female General appearance: Straight raven black hair that falls to her knees, forest green eyes. A willowy build and a pretty face. She usually wears a simple black short sleeved tunic and knee length skirt. She uses a bright blue ribbon to tie back her hair into a long ponytail while at work. Occupation: Slave Girl, Loyal Bio: Maaya is very a very outspoken, stong willed person. She doesn't like to be pushed around but does as she is told by her king and higher authorities. She is very independent and doesn't like to recieve help with most things. When she does realize it, however, she will step down and allow someone else to help. Maaya loves to sing, and will do so when attending to her chores and while she's alone. She is a content person, however, she wishes desperately that she could be freed from her position of slavery. Not much is known about Maaya's past, she never speaks about it. But it is known that she is the last living person of the Joston family. Well, thanks for looking at my stuff and I'm just posting it again like you asked. I'm out!
14. Konbanwa, minna-san! I was wondering if anyone out there could make me a Gravitation Banner with Touma Seguchi, Ryuichi Sakuma, and Eiri Yuki on it with the name Jung-Woo on it somewhere. Thank you and it is much appreciated! :D
15. People who are gladly invited to stay... Quatre (KAT-tre) Raberba Winner from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing - He is quite the gentleman and seems to be REALLY smart. I wouldn't mine having an intelligent boy as a roommate. Maybe he could help me with my Geometry. ^__^ Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho - We could have some awesome parties and stuff. And I could help him with some Earth Science or something, and we could beat the crap out of annoying people...like my little brother... Eiri Yuki from Gravitation - Well, he's an awesome writer, and he wouldn't make a huge mess of the place. He's probably have to clean up after me, if anything. I would love for him to show me some tips on making some of my stories better. Besides his attitude, things would go well. Touma Seguchi from Gravitation - It's like a two for one special, if Eiri stays, Touma's staying too. No ifs or buts about it. He'd also probably have to take care of Ryu... Kiba from Wolf's Rain - Being Native American and belonging to an animal clan and he being a wolf...man, that right there says it all. Natives respect the wolves because of their amazing abilities to hunt and survive as a pack. He'd also be pretty cool to talk to. Toboe from Wolf's Rain - He's a pup who just wants a loving owner and a great place to live. I'd be more than happy to keep him as a pet. Ryuichi Sakuma from Gravitation - We could sit and sing. Just listen to some music, eat an ice cream sundae, and hang out. He's so giddy. I couldn't help but love to have him as a roommate. The Sohmas from Fruits Basket - "Que sera, sera!" Shigure is awesome. Hattori is a doctor, that would help when I get sick. Yuki's really smart. Kyo would be great to spar with. Hatsuharu would always be good for a laugh, and Momiji would be a great little bunny to cuddle with. He's just so darn cute. Kisa is awesome, and Ayame and I could chat. Absolutely Cannot Stay... Tomo Takino from Azumanga Daioh - She is so friggin hyper and competitive. I don't think I could stand her for more than two seconds without kicking her out. Ayamu "Osaka" Kasuga from Azumanga Daioh - She's way too spacy. It'd be like trying to take care of a baby that drools too much. Never mind...she's worse... Hiro Sohma from Fruits Basket - He's too negative, plain and simple. Akito Sohma from Fruits Basket - He's so creepy! And I don't want him pulling on my hair if I even talk to the Sohma's...
16. Name: Sinistra Issacs Age: 19 Gender: Female Field: Infiltration, Silence Weapon(s): A wakizashi (Japanese Short Sword), a gold plated, steel sword known as the Sword of Pharaoh Ramses II, and two straightened elbow blades that sit in leather guards around her waist. Bio: Her name was given to her based on the Latin word "sinistra" which means left-handed, and later became the word sinister. When Sinistra was seven, she witnessed the death of her older brother, Kerris. His dying words to her were: "Please, Sinistra, be strong." Kerris was like her obsession, and his love of the martial arts soon became her own. She felt that studying everything she could, from swords to hand-to-hand combat. She has now come to the castle to prove that her training is now complete. Sinistra has no exact style of fighting, while she knows many techniques, she uses them all together in an unpredictable slew of attacks. Appearance: Straight, long black hair, eyes are a pale blue, she has a thin frame and is very flexible. She wears a black wool outfit, the top is a tank top and the pants extend to the knees until the cloth tightens to fit under a pair of lack suede tie up boots. The boots are then held together with a black, braided cloth. It wraps around the boots and eventually ties together. Personality: She is very logical, and hates when she doesn't know something and it leaves her in doubt, however she doesn't mind being proven wrong, as long as the fact can be officially proven. She is very quick, and makes her kills easily and silently. She still speaks of her brother and tries to think of what he would do. Sinistra only uses the Sword of Pharaoh Ramses the II when she feels it has a major significance or is completely necessary.

I go there every summer to hang out and run around for like a week or so. Allegany State is awesome too, you can go rock climbing on Thunder Rock, if you can do it without equipment that is... In this town called Gowanda, there's this place called the "40's". It's a part of the Cattaraugus River that has some fast rapids, waterfalls, and small trenches. It's a cool place to go if you want to take some risks, but people have died there in the past.
18. Well, thinking rationally, I can't really say that I drool over bishounen, but there are boys in anime that I would prefer as far as their personality. :smirk: Touma Seguchi from Gravitation - He's serious and quiet, takes some time to think before he acts. And he did support (or maybe it's just me) Eiri and Shuichi before Eiri...well...hit some complications. And c'mon, he's in Nittle Grasper! Shuuichi Minamino a.k.a Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho - He's also serious and quiet. Very wise for his human age of fifteen, he is a strategist. He's a loyal friend, a loving son (he was willing to give up his soul so that his mother could recover from her sickness), and supports his teammates up until the very end. Ryuichi Sakuma from Gravitation - Backing away from the serious boys, you've gotta love this little freak of nature. He has a lovely voice, and he's not a stuck-up celebrity. And, I just love the fact that he did everything in his power to make Shuichi work harder and feel better. He supported a rival band, and it's cute how childish he can be, yet when it comes to his music, he's very serious. So I guess I just prefer serious, down-to-earth guys. Too bad I don't really know of any around here... :twitch:
19. That's cool, Chibi Horsewoman and I live in the same area. ^__^ I love Buffalo's Killer Pro Lacrosse Team: the Buffalo Bandits. And my family knows some of those guys personally. They're such nice guys, totally down to earth. Never swim in Lake Erie, you never know what you'll catch in there. But Niagara Falls is awesome, and Clifton Hill is always a good place to go for the day if you wanna get some food from the Rainforest Cafe and go shopping, although that's more or less in Canada. If you go up to the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in the summer, you can see Fireball. It's like rugby, but the ball's on fire and it's played by guys that are mostly drunk. Very entertaining. The local Media Play usually also hosts an Anime Club once every two weeks or so. It's a lot of fun, you can just go and hang out with some other people that share your interests. Well, that's from what I know, if there's anything I missed, Chibi Horsewoman will probably cover it. And hey, Chibi! Have you gone to Darien Lake and rode all of the roller coasters until you got sick? ^__^ ~ Jung-Woo ~ ^__^
20.
Originally posted by Lore a.k.a Sara If someone says he is in love, at that moment, at that point in his life, he is in love. He may look back in six months and wonder what on earth he was thinking. He may not. But...it's not your place to contradict him.
Sara, you mentioned that you didn't know if that came out right. I think it did. What you are saying is totally true. Allow me to elaborate. My friend was recently going out with this guy that I thought was totally wrong for her. I did warn her of what I thought he was, and she went along with him anyway. I knew that it wasn't my place to stop her, so I didn't. Their relationship lasted three weeks and she was upset about it. She, of course, came crying to me for advice. I didn't let her have it and say: "I told you so." but instead I just said: "Well now you know." She took it a lot better after talking with me. So you see, Sara, what you said is perfect. This, after all, is a tricky topic to discuss.
21. Being a sophomore, I realized something about my school very quickly last year as a freshman. It's just too damn clicky! There's the goths, the idiots who smoke in the bathroom, the preps, the grungy, the skaters, and all others in between. Either you've got friends or everyone thinks you're a terrorist. And if you don't have friends, then you will be ripped apart. I hate it. As for the work, freshman year wasn't so bad. In sophomore year, you can be accepted to some advanced classes such as Honors English. (Which simply means that you take the state test with the juniors.) But it's still all too easy... Except for Biology. When you have a hippie teacher like I do who talks about his Grateful Dead rubber stamps than the actual lesson, then you know all is lost for that freak and your grade.
22. All of your answers, indeed, are correct. But they also prove my point as to say that you can't boil it down to just one thing. Love is one of those exceptions that cannot be "truely defined". And so each individual has their own meaning. So really, love is what it is to you. It's just up to each person to find their own meaning for it. And when they do, they have just fulfulled another one of life's greater accomplishments in some sense. In response to my own questions, I personally believe that there is no soul mate for each and every single person, there are those however that just happen to find that person that they believe to be the one they'll love forever. Soul mate is merely a word to intensify the meaning of a life partner. However, the first question does back up the second. There are those people that find love in the most obscure of places. Like such examples mentioned, I almost think that it's kind of creepy. Fate, Destiny? No, I don't think that they exist for what "..." said. Fate and Destiny contradict themselves to the point beyond believeable and land right on confusion.
23. You're all correct, and I must laugh a little on the mentioning of this.
Mmm. Love. What a crazy thing to ask teenagers to define, eh?
Love: 1 a (1) : strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties (2) : attraction based on sexual desire : affection and tenderness felt by lovers (3) : affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests b : an assurance of love 2 : warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion 3 a : the object of attachment, devotion, or admiration b (1) : a beloved person : DARLING ? often used as a term of endearment (2) : British : ? used as an informal term of address 4 a : unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another: as (1) : the fatherly concern of God for humankind (2) : brotherly concern for others b : a person's adoration of God 5 : a god or personification of love 6 : an amorous episode : LOVE AFFAIR 7 : the sexual embrace : COPULATION 8 : a score of zero (as in tennis) 9 : capitalized Christian Science : GOD - at love : holding one's opponent scoreless in tennis - in love : inspired by affection All this and more was mentioned in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. But really, you can't just boil it down to one thing, and Chibi Horsewoman was right in saying that this is a very broad subject. No one looks stupid for trying to dicuss it. And what makes this even better is everyone's views toward the subject. Everyone contributes and we all learn. Even for some, how to actually love. A majority of us being teenagers, we have no clue. But then again, do most adults either? I can simply call it affection at this young age of fifteen. And this affection, well, it varies with a different being each time. So, now, I'll stop boring all of you and leave with some questions for all of you to try and answer. Do you really think that there is someone out there for everyone? Like a soul mate, perhaps? And that you have to just open your eyes and see? Like it could be that person living next door, or someone you met on a trip by chance? Do you think that fate and destiny have their roles in it as well? I'm curious to hear your responses...
24.
Speaking of restarting the series, Cartoon Network has just restarted it from the very beginning. $#@$#@ them!!!!!
That sucks, and I must be psychic or something. I just figured that I was about time for them to restart something. And Cheza, you did spell Yusuke right, but not Touya. And it is definitely worth it to go out and buy the DVD's. Media Play sells them on sale for the first week and a half after their offical release. Well, the one near me does anyway. So, good luck to all on finding out how Yu Yu Hakusho ends, believe me when I say that you're gonna need it if you just watch it on TV. If you do, then I suggest moving out of the US. When I was in Barcelona last year, they were showing the end of the series.
