Maaya was wandering around the remains of the castle. She had heard the voices of servants still trying to escape and knights running for the exits. Maaya herself was now lost within the labyrinth of corridors. The smoke escaping from the fires was clouding Maaya's vision while she continued to wander. Just as Maaya looked up, a large wooden beam that had caught fire fell. She leaped for her life and barely escaped to realize that she was near the slave corridor. She ran even faster to get by and make her way to the Central Court. But before she could make it, a large projectile had just burst through the stone wall to her left and she fell over, shaken. "What the hell!?" Maaya yelled to herself she dusted off the ashes. She looked out. Sir Marquise could hardly be seen amongst the soldiers, but she knew it was him. And if he was attacking the castle, then the King and several others must have still sought refuge here. Maaya stood once more and continued onward toward the central courts. Instead of continuing to the right, she veered to the left towards the main entrance of the castle. Surely someone had to be there. She arrived at the entrance to find several soldiers, slaves and nobles. After looking around a little more, she found Daimon standing next to Sarah and Ashrel, Lysander approaching them. Maaya sighed and looked around to see the sea of frightened faces. She coughed a little and walked off to the side in search of water, her throat itching for something. She caught sight of a bowl and rushed over to it, picking it up as soon as she realized that it was fresh water. Drinking rather fast, she was soon stopped by a rather large, old noble. "Slave, what do you think you're doing?!" He rose. "I'm not a slave, and as long as I'm here, I won't be." Maaya replied wth that vicious glare in her eyes. "How dare you speak to me like that!" He squealed. "Stop this now." Maaya heard a voice behind her. She turned slightly to see Daimon and Sarah standing there. "My King, this mere slave girl thinks that she has the right to speak to me in such a rude manner." He bowed slightly, Maaya standing still. "Well sir, that is because you have interrupted her in whatever she may be doing. And also, she is not a slave any longer. As of late, I have no slaves. Now if you don't mind, I have much more important matters to attend to than to listen to such a minor squabble." He remarked with a glare to the both of them. The noble bending his waist to bow and Maaya bowed slightly enough to hide her eyes from him. Sarah remained long enough for Maaya to say thanks and then ran off after Daimon. Somehow, she had to alert these people of the state of the castle. Maaya then glanced over at Ashrel. She walked over and addressed her. "Lady Ashrel, please I need to tell you something." Ashrel looked down at her and then nodded as if for her to speak. "This castle is under constant attack, and it will not last long. We need to do something." OOC: I was kinda thinking I went a little too far on this...but I'm not sure...if I have to, I'll edit it later.

Sesshoumaru wandered the countryside with Rin and Jaken over the next two years. Rin, a little older now, was becoming more and more self-sufficient. Sometimes, the Dog Demon Lord would not see his human companion for a few days while she would be off gathering supplies for herself for the next stretch of their journey. Sesshoumaru hardly encountered anything while traveling in the Naraku-less days. But now as rumors were flying around, he kept his sword Tokijin close. "My Lord!" Rin yelled as she ran up behind him and Jaken. "My lord, I have heard news from the villages!" Sesshoumaru stopped in his tracks and turned to the girl. "Well?" "Lord Sesshoumaru, I have heard that Naraku may have returned!" Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed and Jaken gasped. "Say that again." He replied calmly. "The villagers, they said that Naraku may have returned." She sighed. 'So this strange aura I have been feeling has indeed been confirmed.' "Not only that my lord, but there is word of a legendary sword that can slay a god with one blow! It's here in these lands." Rin figeted excitedly and caught Sesshoumaru's attention. "Interesting. And you say that this is only a rumor?" "Yes, sir." "I do not wish to be fed stories of these childish fairytales." He replied, turning around to walk once more. "I apologize my lord." Rin bowed shyly. "But sir!" Jaken interrupted as Sesshoumaru continued forth. "I have also heard it from the whispers of the forest." "Enough!" Sesshoumaru said. "We will continue to travel onward. If we can confirm that this sword exists, then I will persue it. Until that time reaches us, we shall not be swayed so easily by rumors." "Yes, my lord." The two bowed. 'Inuyasha, could you have heard of this sword, too? And what of your friend, the monk? Has his cursed hand reappeared?' Suddenly, the dog demon had an urge to see his younger half-breed brother. Perhaps this would be the only way to prove Sesshoumaru's theories.

OOC: Thanks very much Katsie for accepting my request. Now if only I had seen it sooner... :animeswea James Parker was walking around the school with a middle aged man known as Councelor Mr. Kelley. Mr. Kelley was showing him around the school because he was a new transfer student. "And so, James, your U.S. History class is right here. Please enjoy yourself here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any teacher." "Sure." James said as he walked in with a sketchbook and some folders filled with lined paper and that straw in his mouth as usual. "Oh! You're here." A young teacher by the name of Miss Morganson greeted him as he pushed his hair out of his face. "Class, I'd like you all to meet our newest addition to the class. This is James Parker." "Hello James." They all droned as James simply nodded and chewed on his straw more. "James, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself before we start the lesson?" Miss Morganson asked. "Well, my name is James. I came from New York, I like chewing straws and I play volleyball." He replied as he itched the back of his head. "Is that all, Mr. Parker?" "Yeah...sure..." James replied. "Very well. You may take the empty seat next to Aidan in this row right here." "Great." James said with a sarcastic joy, being here wasn't exactly pleasing him. He sat down next to the boy named Aidan. "Hey, my name's James. And you're Aidan, right?" Aidan looked up at him, and turned away. "Well, okay. You're a quiet one..." James shrugged. ****** After the bell rang, James walked out quickly to avoid extra contact with any teacher. It was nice that they were all so welcoming, but damn was it annoying for him. He looked at his schedule and continued walking, what he didn't realize was that he was about to run into a girl. He just barely missed her, but she knew and turned around. It was Geneive, but James had never seen this girl before. "Sorry." James said quickly as he walked off.

"Did you hear?!" a slave girl rushed to Maaya and grabbed a hold of her hands. They stood in the slave quarters, which was in chaos. "No, what?" Maaya replied, puzzled by all the commotion. "Damion has freed us all! He has sent us all free!" The girl screamed as she took Maaya's hands and jumped up and down in great joy. "What?" "Because of the rebellion, Damion has sent us all free to do with our lives as we please!" The girl smiled broadly as she rushed from the slave quarters in great joy, leaving Maaya even more puzzled. 'This doesn't feel right. He must know of his fate...' She thought to herself as she walked through the door to what was her room. She ran for the blade under her bed and held it like it was her own child. "There's nowhere else for me to go. What could I possibly do? I could stay here without much notice and be free, or go back outside of these walls and do whatever a certain man tells me. I won't allow it." She said to herself and all of a sudden felt drowsy. "I can't let go of my new freedom..." She mumbled as she fell asleep. *~*~*~*~*~* Maaya woke up and it was dark outside. She was still in those rags and the blade was still clutched in her hands. She thought all was well until she began to hear the screams of women and children coming from outside. They were faint, but she ran to the window with urgency regardless. The sight she saw was breathtaking. Fires were scattered about the city and smoke was rising quickly. Something had to be done about the fighting. Either join it, or wait for it. Maaya wasn't the type to wait. She got changed into the same clothes that she dueled with Sir Marquise in and grabbed her blade. First, she was to see if there was anyone else in the castle as aware of the situation as she was. But when Maaya walked outside, the halls were a mess with clothes, sheets and anything else one could think of. She stepped around these things and walked around to the Center Court. There was no one there either. It was like the castle was abandoned just recently. But surely the King, Sarah, and Ashrel wouldn't have left... Or would they? "I have to keep looking." Maaya said to herself.

OOC: Here we go! I love using the laptop for internet service. ^__^ Maaya was doing chores out in the courtyard when some of the castle's nobles walked by, whispering feverishly. "Have you heard? King Daimon has called on Lysander, Raymond, Adler and Michael to help him in this 'revolt'! Do you think that we may be required to fight as well?" "I'm not sure. I've heard that Sir Rion Marquise is yet to be found." "No, he has joined with the rebel, Asher Ravenblood! And Jacob is among their ranks." They continued walking off while Maaya stood there, eavesdropping. 'Hmm. So that's what he was doing all along. It's not totally surprising.' She thought to herself as she looked down at her arms, which were wrapped in bandages up to her elbows. These small flesh wounds brought her back to the duel they had just a few nights ago. 'He is truly remarkable.' 'But the King in his current condition...will not last if he decides to fight... The medicine I have given to him is more powerful than most, but it takes longer to become as effective as it should...' A large explosion was heard throughout the city, and Maaya looked above the western castle walls. A large, ominous cloud of smoke appeared and she knew that this meant trouble. For the King anyway. What would any of these rebels do to a slave girl? After all, she remembered that it was made clear that Asher's sister was once a slave here herself. If the worst occurred, Maaya would be fighting to save herself. On either side, safety couldn't be guaranteed. However, that didn't mean that Maaya couldn't serve under either side. Time would just have to push the slave in making her life-changing decision. The blade was sharpened up in her room, and that chamber wasn't far away from Maaya's current position. "I'll feel safer with that around my waist." She stopped what she was doing and walked upstairs to change out of those rags. 'Speaking of the King, I've been wondering, what made him take me instead of another slave girl to that little event in the square with those rebels? It seems like he would've taken Sarah. Oh well, it is the past and right now, there are more important things to worry about.'

Most Native ("First" according to Pres. Bush) Americans around here are wannabes. Most of them think that they are "ghetto" and act like they live in a neighborhood where dodging bullets is nothing. And I can't stand it, I cannot stand my own peers. My own cousin talks, walks and acts like he's 50 Cent or something. It's stupid, I just don't get why being a Native American is that boring that you have to act like someone else. I'm not accepted by them, because I don't act like them. So I can't speak the language, and I'm not right into the religion. At least I don't act as if I'm someone else. I have so many friends outside of my race, I could say that only three of them are Native American like myself. So if I were you C. Azul, I wouldn't necessarily worry about getting along with people of your own race. Just get along with everyone. :D

Name: St. Raphael the Archangel Creation: Angel Sex: Male Appearance: (Based on that picture, but I'm modifying it a bit. ^__^) Straight blonde hair with crystal blue eyes. He is tall and thin at 5'10" and about 135 lbs. Personality: Raphael is a calm and quiet man. But when it comes to fighting for his almighty Lord, he is fearsome and relentless with a fire burning in his eyes. Bio: Raphael was also born as God created the heavens. He was assigned to his duty as a 'silencer'. An assassin of demons and all other evil entities if you will, but he does it cleanly and efficiently. He is able to maintain control, and that is possibly one of Raphael's best traits. Although he would prefer peace, fighting is not a problem for him. At first, God was a little skeptical about Raphael's ability to kill so easily. But Raphael proved God wrong and showed off his skills with flying colors. Raphael still has his job, however, it's about to get a lot busier for this angel. Power: The Power of Healing; it can save mortals from death. Weapon: On one occasion long ago, before the time of Moses, the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses the I asked for the help of God to save his son from the life-stealing disease of consumption. And Raphael appeared. He used his healing power to save the infant while he slept. When the King woke the next morning to see his baby boy healthy, he prayed in thanks to God and left a sword forged especially for his son's savior. The Sword of Ramses the II, although made of gold to the hilt with the grip covered with a thick white cloth washed in ambrose, was surprisingly light. And Raphael took this gift with appreciation, and now, he knows that he must use it against Evil. This is what Raphael "really" looks like:

Number 1: Kumagoro a.k.a. Mr. Bear - Gravitation. Ryuichi's stuffed pink bunny. It's so damn cute! :p Why? Because it's Ryu-kun's and it's cute and looks fluffy. It would make a good makeshift pillow. Number 2: To move in with The Sohmas - Fruits Basket. Yuki is a great guy, he could help me with my math and science because I'm a lost cause. Kyo, well, Kyo's hilarious. I'd make leeks just to tick him off and watch him freak out. And Shigure is awesome, I'd giggle at him while he'd wander around the house with his newspaper, singing "High School girls..." And Tohru, she's great. She could cook and I wouldn't have to worry about food poisoning. :D Number 3: Pandy's Sword - Dead Leaves. That sword was actually some guys hand attached to a blade. The blood still on the bone makes the person who holds it look like they're a mass murderer. It's so cool...

OOC: I figured that we could get this little duel out of the way really quick. :p He landed on top of her, straining to maintain a firm grasp on her wrists, lest they slip and cost him the spar. "Do you give up?" "Never." She said simply. Both were breathing hard, trying to gain back their lost wind. "No? Fine then." He answered swiftly, disregarding his body so that he would win the duel. She held tightly to the sword with her right hand, as her left hand gripped his throat. He felt himself choking, but it would only be a few seconds now... He freed his right hand, flicking out the knife from the sleeve and setting it against her neck, as his left hand struggled to stop the sword. "...do...I wi..n?" He gurgled through the tight choke hold. Maaya looked at the blade, then back at Rion's gasping face, deciding what to say next. Maaya didn't reply, instead, she felt the knife scratching her neck. 'Damn, I hope this works...' Her eyes bolted shut and her knees rose from the ground and quickly touched Rion's stomach. She groaned as she pushed upwards and lifted him off of her, while slipping her hand into Rion's weakened grip and getting the knife away from him. Rion was surprised when his back hit the ground and Maaya straddled him, his knife in her hand as she held it above her head while the other hand was on his chest. "I don't think so, Sir Marquise." She gasped. She rose from her position, dropped the knife on the ground, and went to grab her own. Rion just noticed that it was on the ground near where they just were. She sheathed the stange blade and Rion sat up to try and catch his breath. "You have excellent skill, Sir Marquise. I enjoyed this duel, may we meet again." She looked back at him and began to walk away as she held her bleeding arms.

A willowy build and a pretty face. She usually wears a simple black sleeveless tunic and matching pants that are strapped around her calves, yet baggy around the thighs. She uses a yellow ribbon to tie back her hair into a long ponytail while at work. Occupation: Slave Girl, But now that the Rebellion has started, she has no loyalties. She only wants to stay alive. Weapon: A strange blade that is a cross between a dagger and a short sword. It is made of pure silver, and is about a foot long. Bio: Slowly, things are revealed about Maaya and her personality from being sort of timid in her past to becoming cold and distant. She seems to have taken an interest in Sir Marquise, but doesn't really show it. After dueling with him, he is the only noble that has truly gained her respect. Not much is known about Maaya's past, she never speaks about it. But it is known that she is the last living person of the Joston family. Her brother, Tobias died fighting for the King and now Maaya has wound up serving him as a slave. I hope that this goes well...seems to have gone good so far...see ya'll there!

Maaya watched as Sir Marquise placed his hand on the hilt of his famous rapier. "I believe that as a slave girl, I am not worthy of giving you my name, sir. However, I still think that a friendly spar would be permitted. You look like you could blow off some steam." She said as the wind fluttered by and blew his hair across his face, hers dangled from that yellow ribbon in her hair. "Girl, if a fight is what you're looking for, then run along. I don't want to hurt you." Rion warned her as his hand gripped the hilt. "I will not run along as you wish. I just want to see what my skills are compared to yours. You obviously have the upperhand since this blade tied to my side has not been unsheathed in quite a few years." She closed her eyes and reopened them with that dangerous glare in her eye once more. "I see. Well, a challenge from a slave of Daimon's. Fine then, I will entertain you if that is what you wish. Just don't cry to the King when you lose." He unsheathed the rapier and it shined in the moonlight. He held it in a defensive posture and Maaya's hands continued to rest at her sides. "Begin, Sir." She stated simply. "Your loss." Rion replied as he thrusted it forward. Maaya's left hand moved in an instant and the short sword blocked the rapier, sending it just above her right shoulder. Rion stepped back and analyzed the opposing unorthodox blade. Maaya never blinked as she watched that look on his face turn from curiousity to confidence. Rion stepped closer as to continue with the swordplay. He thrusted two diversionary stabs close to each of Maaya's hips and then a real one straight toward her stomach. Maaya pulled her blade around to parry the attack and Rion flicked his wrist to pull the rapier back. Maaya used this opportunity to try and inflict some shallow cuts as she swung the blade horizontally at Rion repeatedly. Rion shifted his stance and stepped backward, charging once more when Maaya had faltered in her pattern. Maaya swung to her right at the last minute as Rion thrusted his rapier at her head. The blade only managed to rip through Maaya's ribbon and sent her raven black hair to her knees. She lunged for Sir Marquise, the sword in her left hand was held like an elbow blade. Rion didn't parry the attack until it was too late. A shallow cut on the side of his hip began to seep with a small amount of blood. "And here I thought I was going to have to just toy with you." He smirked as Maaya rose to her feet. He began to send a flurry of attacks at Maaya and she barely blocked each one. When Rion stopped, there were several cuts on Maaya's arms. She winced a little, but then waited for Rion's next move. That smirk never disappeared as Rion sent another stab toward Maaya's upper body. She thought quickly, and tapped Rion's blade to the side. Maaya then flew behind Rion and held the sword to his throat. "Good move, but not good enough." He said as he grabbed her arm, swung her around and onto the ground. The rapier that had light specks of blood on it, now caressed the sensitive skin of Maaya's neck as she held her head up to see the man that defeated her. "So tell me now, what is your name? Answer me, for I command you to." "My name is Maaya, Sir." She replied, that glare in her eyes disappeared when she blinked.

This looks promising and "Blondes won't have more fun!" I'm not a blonde, but that's what the magazine said. And as for Gravitation, the OVA. It's finally hitting America (legally) and I can't wait until later this year when Right Stuf puts it out on the market. They are the ones with the license, right? I mean, sweet little Shuichi and bad boy Yuki together in just thirteen episodes? No way. You've gotta have more. And with Ryuichi's soul soothing melody, how could you refuse? In regards to the yaoi...I would say that I took me a little while to get used to, but then I realized that it's really quite a beautiful thing. This seems like fun...It's worth a shot... Name: James Parker Age: 16 Appearance: Brown hair with golden blonde highlights that falls around his shoulders, blue eyes. James wears casual things: mostly t-shirts with a long sleeved one underneath and a pair of jeans with the bottom occasionally ripped and a pair of Vans (Sounds like a skater, doesn't he?) There will be a few times that he'll dress in something nicer, but it's rare. There's a silver chain bracelet that he wears for some reason, and he never seems to take it off. James is about 5'8" and 150 lbs, and he can eat and eat. Personality: James is apathetic, he doesn't really care about a lot of things. But if there's a couple major things he's known for, it's his straw chewing obsession and ability to play volleyball. James is an alright guy to be around, he loves to joke and laugh. He's there to pick up his friends when they're down and if it came down to it, he'd make a fool of himself in public just to make sure they smiled. James is a "live in the moment" kind of guy, and doesn't really care about the future. He's just trying to survive now. ^__^ Bio: James is a transfer student from a private school in New York, he moved to an area near Middleton High with his father because of his mother's recent passing from cancer.

It's becoming clear that Ryuichi is one of my favorite anime characters. ^__^ If I were to meet Ryu, I'd ask him what makes him so giddy all the time. A lot of people think that he has a Multiple Personality Disorder, but in his case, I couldn't really call that a disorder. He's so silly and makes no sense. And I think what makes me like him is that he is the total opposite of me. In that "Best and Worst Anime Characters to have as Roommates" thread, I said that I would love to have him as my roommate. Ryu-chan needs someone to take care of him. :p Plus, I'd love to hear him sing.

Altron's hit the nail on the head. But if you're looking for a reason and have a little bit of spare time, check out the OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty. They mention that this site also has some pretty cool people and posts. There's a lot to do on here. The moderators here like Solo Tremaine, Panda and Dagger IX1, are great at what they do. If you notice, the boards are well taken care of. But also, if they find a thread that is relatively short/spammy but has the potential to become something (I don't know if I'm wording this right), they'll try to continue the conversation with a well versed, meaningful post rather than just delete it. Another reason to be here is because there is the huge possibility to get on here and make friends who share the same interests as you. In fact, I'd think that it's harder not to make friends on here. There's a lot of people here that have some good things to say, a lot of great conversations appear everyday. Well, that's what I think...

Maaya walked from the King's chambers to her own, his blood on her hands. She took a cloth and wiped it away, then walked over to her bed and sat down. She stared at the mirror for the longest time, still wearing those clothes that the King had forced her to wear. She shook her head in disgust and shuddered, and then got up to change. The King had seemed to grow fond of Sarah, and with this thought, Maaya sighed with a mixture of relief and fear. What is he planning? It's still uncertain... "Onto more important things." She said to herself as she shut the doors of the armoire after getting dressed into normal clothes and walked over to her bed again. But instead of sitting down, she got on her hands and knees to reach for something underneath. Maaya pulled out a blade that had a length in between a dagger and a short sword. She held it close to her chest and sat back against the edge of the bed. As Maaya closed her eyes, she remembered something... She stood in the middle of a blood-stained meadow, trembling and silent. She wasn't that much younger, maybe thirteen... Bodies were scattered across the field, and the long grass was covered in blood. A hand raised, and Maaya froze. "Maaya..." She heard her name and recognized the voice. She ran over to find a young man dressed in the armor of the King's soldiers. "Tobias, don't worry. I'll...I'll save you." She began to cry. "Little sister...don't wait for me. I'm going to die here, I know I can't...be saved." The young man began to cough up blood. "Take this...it's the only thing, that you and I...had left..." He handed her that blade. "Stay strong for me..." Maaya's older brother, Tobias, died in her arms in that field. He was a knight for the King Daimon. Of course, she couldn't blame her last living relative's death on the King, for it was not Daimon who had inflicted the fatal wound. But Maaya had promised herself on her brother's name that she would keep the blade, and her life. She opened her eyes, but now they held a different glare. She blinked and it was gone. But not for long, Maaya felt. Something was going to happen soon. She stuffed the sword under her bed and put her long, black hair up in a yellow ribbon. "This charade will end...now." She sighed. "My act...everything...it's over."
Originally Posted by joshdude89 I think that Sesshouimaru is pretty normal now, havnt you seen the recent episodes, He travels with a HUMAN girl named Rin. The reason this show is so great is the fact that the plot is REALLY good, I like the fact that every episode isnt the same and it has so much humor in it that I will stay up till 12:30 to watch it every day
Ah...the joys of TiVo...^__^ I love my TiVo...I can record shows like Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist without having to watch them right then and there. But Sesshoumaru is far from normal. And I have to agree with Chibi when she said that Rin is the exception and not the rule. This anime does get really repetitive...way back when the episodes were still in the double digits, half of the time, Inuyasha and Kagome wouldn't speak to each other. (Okay, that's like an exaggeration but...) I can't wait until the manga catches up and surpasses the anime. Because the anime, just leaves off with a half-satisfying cliffhanger... The manga goes on and surpasses that to show what happens afterward... I wonder what made the anime designers think that they could just leave it off like that?

Maaya watched silently from her horse, the violence that surrounded her. She showed no emotion, and her hands were folded in her lap. And although it was a burning pain in the back of her neck and on her wrist from where the King had grabbed her, she just stared, and it wasn't until she heard a voice that she didn't really wish to hear at that very second. "I've come to make you mine, Rion. Let's dance." She twisted around on her horse to see Sir Rion Marquise trying to shake away the Lady Ashrel. Maaya shook her head slightly and turned back just in time to see Daimon dispose of the boy that she had heard of as Asher from Sir Marquise. I didn't think it would have to come to this...but I guess that it must be done. I will not survive in such an enviornment. It's time... She stirred from her thoughts to see the rebel Jacob give the King Daimon a rock to the head, he fell over and Jacob mumbled something, but amongst the screams of the crowd, Maaya couldn't make it out. And by then, all of Jarrod's soldiers were blocking the view by beating on Jacob. Daimon was helped up and away from the crowd. His head was bleeding, but he refused to let anyone touch him. He jumped back on his horse. "My lord, you shouldn't ride after such a blow to the head." Maaya said to him. "Shut up! Now let's go..." He turned his horse around and beckoned her to follow. Maaya followed him silently all the way back until they reached the castle gates. "My lord, if you wish, I could treat that wound for you. I'm very skilled when it comes to medicines." He turned around and looked at her, still holding his head.

Well...take a warm shower right before your desired time to get some sleep. Afterwards, take two Nyquil Gelcaps. Those made me fall asleep in like...five minutes after taking them. But I was sick, too. That's the best advise I can really give.
