[color=purple]What scares me about teenagers, people my age, is that they often do not know that alcohol comes with a delay. There is a pretty stretch of time between when the alcohol goes down your throat, to when you start to feel it. So, teenagers get angry that they can't feel it, or they think it's not working, so to be cool, they just keep chugging it and drinking more and more and more, and when it finally does catch up with them, they get deathly ill. My mom almost lost one of her clients at work, a 13 year old girl, because she kept drinking so much that she had to be intubated. My mom is not an idiot, she knows that I drink occasionally. However, coming from a long long line of alcoholics, she also knows that I am responsible enough not to get drunk. My mom knows the effects of peer pressure, how awful it is, so she is honest with me. If I ask her if she has ever done anything dangerous or anything she regrets while under the influence, she will tell me. She wants me to learn from her mistakes, and I do. I trust myself when it comes to alcohol.[/color]

[color=purple]I really haven't noticed a change in anyone I know, except oddly enough, Jeff. Jeff is the only one I know that has changed any. He has become a lot more open to me. It is the best gift I could recieve. But I'll not dawdle on that. I have not noticed people getting more worried, on the boards or off. I've noticed the Moderators getting slightly more uptight, the tolerance level is sharply dropping. Behave OB members. ;) Other than that, the only thing I've noticed as a change IRL, is that people are starting to use me and abuse me and throw me around more. :D [/color]

[color=purple]Don't feel bad Foredaddy, I've been here over a year, I'm a Moderator, I've posted in about half the sections of OB, and nobody knows I exist, where as one of the three most popular names listed here as to who everyone wants to meet, is Juuthena, who has been here since, May right? Frustrating. Though I can understand why everyone wants to meet Juuthena, she is adorably sweet, and still holds the record as the only member of OB, out of over 3,000 members, took notice of my birthday and took the time to wish me a happy one. :D[/color]

[color=purple]I already know what I'm getting from my mom, I've basically already gotten it. I got the first four book in the Anne Rice collection, The Vampire Chronicles. Which I'm psyched about, I've been reading non-stop, though they only came in the mail yesterday night, I'm up to page 95 in Interview With The Vampire. The other thing I'm getting from her is Gackt's single Mizerable. Though I won't get that until January 13th or something. From my dad, I don't know. I haven't seen him in 2 and a half years. Knowing him, he will send me a plastic toy lizard, and a set of Jacks.[/color]

Then, when parents are working and children are at school, elementary more than anywhere else, it is up to the teachers. However, when a child reaches middle school, it starts to begin to be their own responsibility to decide for themselves what is morally right and wrong. I was taught my entire life the difference between right and wrong. For a long time, I was taught that homosexuals and bisexuals were gross people with no friends, lives, that were going to hell. [color=purple]Sara's right, ever since the boards went down for version 6, Sephiroth has been taking a bit of an extended absence. Since the boards came back up, I'd be lying if I said I'd seen more than two of his posts. Perhaps he is just spending some quality time with his wife, didn't he also have a daughter on the way? Parenting an infant is not an easy task. When James decides to leave the boards, he will probably promote Transtic to run the boards. Perhaps, if Safer came back, it would be him. As far as the software, I think Transtic and Elite could handle that well enough. The boards would probably go to a Super Moderator, before anyone else. If memory serves, didn't James say that he would be leaving, and Version 6 was his going away gift to the boards? When Adam decides to leave however, if no one can be found to take over the three sites, then most likely, Otaku will be closed, banish the thought. For now though, I think we are in pretty good shape.[/color]

We have about a week and a half off for Christmas Vacation, then it's back to school for about two or three weeks until the end of our second quarter, at which time I'll be switching all my classes (woo). School is almost half over in America. o.O;; Whoa, way to go off-topic Alice. Anyways, over the break I am going down to Virginia to visit some friends of the family. I know I'm going to have a blast, because I'll be the only person in the house, not over the hill yet. But, they did promise me the computer, so my post count will probably jump a bit over Christmas Vacation.[/color]
