1. I read Rogue Planet a few months ago, and I dont remember any reference to the Vong. The book does imply that the missing Jedi knight (I cant remember her name , but it started with a V. ) was captured by some alien species from outside the galaxy. It has been a while since I have read it, so I may be mistaken. I will have to go read the book again.
2. So, besides the NJO series, are there any other Star Wars books that have come out recently that are worth reading? Also, I cant find the e-book Darth Maul:Sabotur. I have looked high and low for it, but cant find it. I have been told I can get it if I buy the novel Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, but I already have shadow hunter. Help!
3. Alright, this isnt going as I had hoped. I have been away and havent been able to contribute to this RPG much. Partly as a result of that, this RPg has "died" I have decided to stop this RPG. Mabye I will try again with some other RPG next year. Thanks for signing up and RPGing with me, -Boba Fett
4. I dont usually sign up for this kind of RPG, but since I have played Red Alert... Name: Abob Ttef Age: 39 Rank: Sergeant Weapon: Sniper rifle Specialty: Sharpshooter Bio: Abob was a sharpshooter for the special forces before the war. His unit was sent to destroy a soviet base in Siberia, where the soviets were perfecting their "Iron Curtain" technology. His unit was ambushed and he was the lone survivor. He was chosen for the elite squad that was to use the moon base and has reported there as ordered. Description: He is short, with black hair, green eyes, and a ugly black scar on his left cheek. Personality: He is quiet and rarely ever speaks unless spoken to.
5. Abob walks all around the South tower, finally he stops in the turret and looks out at the surrounding area. The castle is surrounded by a forest, and Abob can see small animals moving in the trees. He Draws an arrow from his quiver, notches his bow and takes aim at a chipmunk, he releases the arrow and it whistles through the air until it hits the chipmunks head, and pierces it. He laughs and walks to his room where he goes to sleep immediately, anxiously awaiting a new day, with new things to kill...
6. OOC: Wow, hold it. Since when was Lord Hoth a "bad guy"? He is the leader of the Jedi, and has no connection what-so-ever to the dark side, let alone the Sith. I am going to disregard everything after Schratn9's first post. Now, let's get on with the story... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Abob lands his speeder right outside the Largest tent in the Sith encampment, which belongs to the Sith leader Lord Kaan. He walks up to the two Sith warriors that are standing guard motionlessly outside the doorway. Abob: "Let me in, I have critical information for Kaan." Guard 1: "For who?" Abob: "Fine, the information is for Lord Kaan." Guard 2: "You may enter." Abob walks into the tent and up a carpet to a throne. In front of the throne is a large table, on which is displayed a holo-map of the planet. Lord Kaan and his tacticians are studying it closely and debating where to strike next. Tactician 1: "We must attack their left flank, for that is where their main camp is. If we destroy it, they will be forced to surrender." Tactician 2: "No, No. We must attack the center of their army, it is not very strong and once we do this their force will be divided." Kaan: "Enough of this, I say we should...Ah, a scout is here. What information do you have?" Abob: "The Jedi have entrenched themselves in the middle of a valley, which is surrounded by mountains. Their army is spit into four groups; one is guarding the only path to the valley. Another is patrolling the skies above the valley. The third group is spread thinly around the mountains and the final group is guarding the main camp." Kaan: "Good, this information is excellent, well done bounty hunter you are dismissed." Abob: "But sir there is more." Kaan: "What is it?" Abob: "My group was ambushed, and I was the lone survivor. Only a Sith would have known where we were. There is a spy in this camp." Kaan: "I see, I will look into this matter personally..."
7. Abob awoke to find himself holding onto a piece of wood, which strangely wasn't moving with the waves. Abob looked down and saw that the board he was clinging too was tethered by a thick rope to the sunken remains of their ship. Abob took his knife from his belt and was about to slice the rope so he could drift to shore, but then he got an idea. He took off his belt and knife and placed them on the board. Then he dove down to the sunken ship. Abob managed too get to his quarters and retrieve his potions, his bow and his arrows before he had to surface to breathe. He gasped for air and rested on the board for several minutes before he placed his recovered belongings on the sturdy board and cut the rope. Then he waited as he drifted slowly towards the shore... -------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Now I'm an Otaku! :therock:
8. Abob Ttef pressed a series of buttons on his ships control panel, and strapped himself into the pilot's seat. Seconds later the elongated stars outside of the cockpit veiwport vanished and were replaced with the jungle moon of Yavin 4. Alarms sounded all over his ship. He had expected Yavin 4 to have little or no activity on it, aside from the Jedi. But instead of the few Jedi starfighters and maybe a light cruiser he had expected, there was a heavy cruiser in orbit. A medium cruiser could have obliterated his ship easily, but this heavy cruiser could out run and out fight him any day. Abob set his engines for maximum and headed for the planet. Then he took a few precious seconds to look back at the warship that had upset his plans. The cruiser wasn't a New Republic ship, or any other kind of ship Abob had ever seen before. The design looked like it was very loosely based on ancient Sith warships of millennia past. He wondered who had found those design plans for the Sith ship, Sith artifacts were very rare, and enormously expensive on the black market. The Idiots Array landed on the far side of the planet from the Jedi base, not wanting trouble, and Abob shut the ship down. He was here to kill Corran Raltir, a Hutt spy who had betrayed his master. The bounty wasn't much, only 15,000 credits, but the job should be easy. He took his laser sniper rifle from its rack and set it for stun, then he lowered his ships boarding ramp and walked out onto Yavin 4....
9. SS Trunks, your answer to question #1 is correct. BabyGirl, your answer to question #2 is correct. Here are the three unanswered questions: 2 On what planet were the last of the Mandalorian warriors killed? 3 On what ship were all of Alderaan's weapons placed before the planet became pacifistic(sp?) 5 What is the Huttese word for please?
10. It is 1000 years before the Battle of Yavin. The Sith and The Jedi are engaged in a titanic battle on the planet Ruusan, the outcome of which will decide the fate of the galaxy. The Jedi are led by a Powerful Jedi Master named Lord Hoth. The Jedi have taken a beating, and are recruiting force sensitive individuals and pressing them into battle to make up for their horrific losses. They are in dire straights, and must hold out until a transport of Jedi reinforcements arrives from Courscant. The Sith are lead by a Sith Lord named Kaan. He is not a very powerful sith, but is a brilliant tactician. He is defeating the Jedi so far and needs to finish them off before their reinforcements arrive. His rival among the Sith is an extremely powerful warrior, Darth Bane. Bane is a master of the dark side and feels that the Sith shouldn?t fight the Jedi in ground engagements. He wants the Sith to combine their powers and create a firestorm that will destroy the remaining Jedi. On the planet? Abob Ttef was on a cliff overlooking the Jedi encampment. He and several other hunters had been hired by the Sith as mercenaries. They were now trying to figure out where the Jedi were weakest, so that Kaan would have this information to help formulate his new battle plan. Suddenly humming noises filled the air, and there were screams as several hunters around Abob were decapitated by lightsaber blades. The accursed Jedi had found them! Abob ducked a lightsaber blow that would have cut him in two and activated his jetpacks. He flew high into the air and began to fire his blaster rifle at the Jedi below. While the Jedi were busy deflecting the bolts of energy he flew down to his speeder bike, which was parked at the edge of the battle area. Abob landed hard on his speeder bike, but ignored the pain and flew at maximum speed towards the Sith base, turning around every once in a while to make sure he wasn?t being tracked?
11. There are enough people signed up. I will create the play version shortly. If you havent signed up yet and want to play, please PM me your sign up and I will consider letting you in.

13. I read the fanfic. Very interesting. BOO! Trivia time!!! 1 What planet are the Zabrak from? 2 On what planet were the last of the Mandalorian warriors killed? 3 On what ship were all of Alderaan's weapons placed before the planet became pacifistic(sp?) 4 What species does Grand Admiral Thrawn belong to? 5 What is the Huttese word for please?
14.
I'm sorry, but regardless of previous actions, or circumstances, or whatever you care to call them, murder is not justified in any way.
Well said Cera. My thoughts exactly.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Ok, I see what you're talk about there now. But one would imagine that the son probably did apologize, and many times at that. I mean, I'm sure you've all had to argue with your parents before, and you say, "I'm sorry, blah blah" and then they say, "There's no excuse! Blah blah blah... I don't think you really are sorry! blah blah blah" And given the situation, I imagine what his dad was sayin was pretty bad. I have come home late from things plenty of times and never really got "lectured" too much.
I wouldn't think my son was really sorry either if he had made a habit of being out late and coming home, saying "sorry" and doing the same thing night after night. After a while I would have blown my top and lectured him till his ears fell off.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie As for why he didn't just leave, because he was 18. Who said he had somewhere to go? Let alone the money for it. Stay at home for free? or become broke living somewhere else and end up on the streets or back at home? That's kind of what I was sort of getting towards at the end of my previous post.
Ah, but he did have somewhere to go. The army. He could have packed and left that night instead of being lectured, then showed up wherever he was supposed to the next morning. He would have three years to earn money, then when he was done he could get another job, go back to the states, or stay in the army and become a career soldier.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie If the father hadn't been so aggressive and uptight about having a son that isn't as smart as he was, there's a pretty good chance the son never would had killed his father. Just because people are in the same gene pool does not mean they will come out the same, and the father couldn't except his sons mediocre(sp?) life. Not everyone knows everything. People just have to learn to accept that, which the father did not and took it out on his son.
I agree with you on this point. The father should have accepted his son the way he was and shouldn't have sent him back to Korea. But this was no "License to Kill".
15. Very good indeed. So now Ben is a Jedi.... That means there would have to be a whole lot more books in the NJO series to accomidate this ending, excellent more books = More Star Wars! Too bad this is just a fanfic.... 10/10
16. Abob backed his way across the ship, untill he was at the other end of the vessel. Ellsa: "Abob, whats wrong?" Abob: "There is a monster, at the end of the ship." Ellsa: "You're kidding...right?!" Suddenly there is a roar and something hits the ship, Ellsa and Abob are knocked from their feet and fall over the side of the ship. The others run on deck, trying to figure out what is going on. Abob: "There is a sea monster near the bow, watch out." Ellsa: "Help! Someone throw us a rope!" Lalaith grabs a rope and throws it towards Ellsa and Abob....
17. Red XIII, kindly read what I just said in the post above yours. I specificly said there was to be NO posting of anything other than sign ups after that post. So lets try this again, from now on there are to be NO posts besides sign ups. Thank you, -Boba Fett
18.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie There was nothing for the son to apologize about, for one. I have no clue what you're talking abuot there. What is it? "Woops, sorry, dad. I killed you."?
No, it is not. The son was out later than he was allowed to be, therefore he should have apologized to his father for that. The son was eighteen, if his father really bothered him that much why didnt the son leave his fathers house? He was old enough. I agree that the father wasnt very nice to the son and was wrong to send him back to Korea for simply doing poorly in school, but verbal abuse? If the son was usually coming home late, than perhaps the long lecture was justified.
19. Yes. If you read SS Trunks's sign up it says his character is a Zabrak. Darth Maul was a Zabrak. Please, from now on no more posts besides sign ups.
20. Since there has been aple intrest, I will now post my sign up. Name: Abob Ttef Age: 34 Species: Human Weapons: Abob wears a suit of black and orange Mandalorian body armor that is ingrained with cortosis ore and Ysalamiri hairs. He also carries a sniper rifle. Ysalamiri hairs- The Ysalamiri is a salamander like species that has a unique ability to push back the force. The hairs engrained in Abob's armor produce the same effect. Cortosis Ore- One of the few substances in the known galaxy that can stop a lightsaber blade. It causes the lightsaber to deactivate on contact. Kneepad Rocket/Dart launchers- On each of Abob's knees he wears armored kneepads (part of his Mandalorian armor) there is an orange rocket/dart launcher. Abob currently had them loaded with deadly poisonous darts Mitrinomon Z-6 Jet pack- An orange jetpack that has a homing, high explosive rocket attached. Kelvarek Consolidated Arms MM9 Rocket system- On each of Abobs wrists he wears an orange rocket launcher. The rockets on his right wrist are Locris Syndicates 12A explosive rockets. The rockets on his left wrist contain FGA-583, a nerve agent that will knock its victim unconscious in seconds. Mer-Son weapons sniper rifle- This rifle is highly accurate and can shoot from extremely long distances. A zoom scope and a night vision scope are mounted on the top of the rifle. Vehicle:An Aratech 74-Z Military Speeder Bike (for on planet travel) Bio: Abob Ttef was born on the farming planet of Concord Dawn during a civil war. His family was indiscriminately slaughtered by one of the warring factions shortly before his twelfth birthday, and he was sent to live with relatives on Coruscant. His relatives didn?t want to have a young boy to take care of, so they dropped him off one day in the deepest depths of Coruscant, figuring he wouldn?t last long. Abob survived, and even thrived. He learned to be street smart, how to convincingly lie, when to run and when to fight. At age fifteen he stowed away on a smuggling vessel bound for Nar Shadda. There he worked for Shug Nix as a mechanic until he was twenty. Then he bought the Idiots Array directly from the shipyard, and went into the bounty hunting profession. He has since become an extremely respectable bounty hunter and has his own set of codes and morals he lives by. He usually takes imperial bounties and refuses to hunt Jedi; he considers them too dangerous to mess with. Description: Abob never takes off his armor in public so nobody knows what he looks like underneath. His armor is standard Mandalorian combat armor; it is midnight black, with the weapons highlighted in a glossy orange. His T shaped visor on his helmet is indistinguishable from the rest of his helmet. Other: None
21. Nope, the son clearly is in the wrong. The situation did not warrant murder. The son should have apologized and gone to bed. This man had problems, killing his father was no way to solve them. The father did what was right, he may have been a little excessive in his lecturing his son, but he was right.
22. What fanfic? Let me see it! Please? I think Luke is one of the more annoying Jedi. I dont hate him, but he disturbs me, dont ask why... Do you have a picture of this guy? If so, could you show it to me?
23. I would be James. I chose him because then I could add a Star Wars section to OtakuBoards! (so what if there arent enought people to keep it busy!)
24. I havent heard about this before. Hmmmmmmm, I think this is the son's fault. Murder for this kind of petty thing is stupid. The father has every right to lecture his son, and if the son does not like it, he can leave. The son should be executed.
25. Padawans finish their training when they are ready, however long it takes....
