It's been a good while since the last "Buffy" topic and I really want someone to talk about the current season to.

So who here likes watching "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer"? Anyone watching the current season? What do you think of Kennedy? The main villain this season? The fact that this is the last season (7)?

There is another fan of Buffy on OB? Yay! *has been dying to talk about this season* Let me start from the top.

Kennedy: Nearly every "die hard" fan of BtVS seems to hate Kennedy, but I don't. My only complaint is with how stupid the character is. Even though she is a Slayer In Training, she is not the Slayer, at least not yet. Kennedy is extremely brash, moreso than even Dawn was in her first year. She *supposedly* has more training than any other potential Slayer, so she should at least have some knowledge of the Hellmouth around her. It seems like Kennedy knows absolutely nothing about everything, so she constantly relies on her slightly superior fighting ability. If she continues trying to solve every problem with her fists (or her lips) she is going to get killed. On the positive side, I think the entire Potential Slayer's plotline has created some very interesting characters (I like Amanda) and things should pay off by the season finale.

Also, I hate Willow+Kennedy. It seems like the writers just wanted to give Willow another girl to make out with, rather than bother to create a new and interesting character. Oz was a brilliant and thoughtful human being, Tara was passionate and loving, Kennedy is boring. She reminds me too much of the people I go to high school with. The Willow+Kennedy relationship seems rush, but so does everything else this season.

The Big Bad: The First Evil is boring me right now. The main problem with FE is that it is not really a character, it just seems like a worn-out gimmick. Me, like everyone else was cheering "This is going to be the greatest season ever!!" when all of the big villains returned in "Lessons". Sadly, it has gone downhill from there. As soon as everyone figured out that the First Evil was taking the form of dead people, FE lost it's ability to manipulate the group. It has been threatening that something bad is going to happen for months now. They should not have started building up to an apocalypse in September, if the vent was not going to happen until June. I still have no idea what is going to happen in the next few episodes, so that is kind of exciting.

There a few character who I would like to see FE take the form of: Tara, Jenny Calendar, Glory, Ben and the Mayor. I also wonder why FE hasn't taken the form of the First Slayer, wouldn't it drive Buffy nuts if the FE/First Slayer started giving her fake prophecies?

S7 As A Whole: S7 is much different than any other season of Buffy, but there have been some good moments so far. "Selfless", "Storyteller", and "Him" easily earn a place on my list of favorite episodes. It seems that every episode has at least had one memorable moment. In "Same Time, Same Place" it was the posable Dawn, In "Lessons" it was all of the Big Bads returning, and in "Potential" it was Xander's great speech. But it seems like every great moment is countered by something so terrible that it makes me cringe just to think about it. Like Andrew has pointed out in "Storyteller" Buffy has given way too many motivational speeches to the group, but she hardly takes action. What happened to Buffy's original "If they want an apocalypse, we'll give them one" speech earlier this season?

Buffy seems worn out from taking care of the Potential Slayers all year, so it is no surprise that the gorup hasn't tried harder to take out the First Evil. We are nearing the end of the season and we still no asolutely nothing about it, or it's weaknesses. I want to see the group finally get some information about the First Evil that they can use. Perhaps Willow can put it into a corporeal form using magic.. but that's ridiculous because Ms. Rosenberg is still scared of her own power.

Willow has been using her powers really lightly this year, probably because the only thing that she has done so far is locate demons and put up magical barriers. Arguably, Willow is the most powerful person in the group. If anyone has a chance of learning more about the FE, it is her. At least she is going to be on 'Angel' next week. Maybe she can finally show off some of her mojo over there, LA needs all of the help it can get.

Is Xander even on the show anymore? I vaguely remember someone fixing windows this season, that's about it...

Edit 2: Not done yet, I'll post more again later...

I can understand why most people don't like Kennedy, but I think she's alright. She does tend to over-step her boundaries at times, but at least there's someone telling Buffy to shut-up. It's a shame that this is the last season of the show, because I'm sure she'd be a decent character if she had another season to develop as a person. Tara just seemed sorta "there" in season 4, but you could feel her presence in season 5. I'm sure Kennedy would be a good character if she were there for one more season.

And as for the whole Kennedy-Willow romance... Kennedy just seems sorta like an "average temporary girlfriend" rather than a true love interest. Like when Xander dated Cordelia, or when Spike dated Harmony. They don't seem too serious. It's like they're just together for the sake of having a girlfriend. It's just Willow proving she can move on. Nothing serious. It's best to not read into it too much.

I'm liking how this season has been treating Dawn. When she first showed up in season 5, her purpose was just to be projected by Buffy. Then she seemed pretty darn useless in season 6. This season, without Giles around, Dawn's been brushing up on her ancient texts and doing all of the research. In "Get It Done," Dawn was the one translating the book to English from ancient Sumerian. At first, it seemed strange that Dawn would catch on to all this ancient stuff so fast, but she's been hanging around in the magic shop since she first showed up, and Willow caught on to that stuff just as fast (faster, even).

I'm just waiting for when The First actually does something. When The First Evil showed up in the form of every villain in "Lessons," I was excited because I remembered The First from "Amends" in season 3, where Angel kept seeing Jenny Calender's ghost telling him to kill himself. But the fact that The First can't even touch anything yet makes it seem more annoying than evil. Sorta like Andrew.

I think this season has been real good so far.It has been funny and exciting except for some parts like shyguy said the big bad is getting played out.And as for kennedy i have nothing to say.But my favorite episode of this season will have to be "story teller" it was real funny.I cant wait to see what else this season has to offer.:D

I agree that someone should be telling Buffy to shut-up, but it should be someone that Buffy will actually listen to, like Willow or Xander. Or maybe even Dawn, I'm beginning to think that she would be a very capable leader of the Scoobies. Even if Kennedy is just a "average temporary girlfriend", her and Willow have no chemistry together. Heaving said that, if Kennedy was given more time to develop I think I would like her more. Tara never bothered me because of how passive and quiet she was, for the past few episodes I have been saying "Shut up Kennedy" every time she opens her mouth. Kennedy is not the only Potential Slayer, there are about 25 other girls in that house who deserve more attention.. including Dawn.

Dawn has come such a long way since S5, seeing her vanquish that demon (or was it?) in "Conversations With Dead People" was great. The year she has been much more useful. With her abilities in swordsmanship and magic Dawn might end up being useful in the end. Dawn has never been given a full chance to develop either, hopefully Dawn will show up in a spin-off. I would love to see her join the cast of 'Angel' *is in fanfic mode now*

Honestly, I didn't realize that the First was from "Amends" until I watched the episode again in reruns. But something big will, I'm not even sure if the FE will be behind it though. Right now it seems like anyone could turn to the dark side...

What do you think of Andrew and Principal Wood? I think that both of them are great characters, especially Principal Wood. His conflict with Spike is great, it is the best plotline this season, in my opinion. It will be great to see how that battle turns out.

Well, I'm pretty disappointed in this season, so far. One of my favorite things about the show in the past has been the interaction between characters, & that has been just horrible this season. And I'm not too crazy about Spike with a soul. They're not using him at all like they should. Everyone's all busy training & figuring out crap & having visions. Kennedy, I have no opinion of. She's just some girl on the show I know nothing about. In fact, if I hadn't watched the other seasons, I'd know nothing about anybody. Like someone, I think Shy, said, the character development (& interaction) has been crap this season.

I'm way more interested in Angel this season, I think it's better than Buffy. I mean, what is going on with Cordelia? And the fact that Faith showed back up is so sweet. (I think the showing of "Angel" is behind in Richmond by a week or two, so if you know the answers to stuff, don't tell me.)

I think Andrew is ok. I mean, I'd rather that Jonathan had joined the Scoobies instead, but Andrew needed the attention. He was the only member of the Trio without any prior episodes. He was pretty funny in "Storyteller."

For some reason, the idea of a slayer having kids never crossed my mind. I mean, they're constantly in the face of demonic danger, they tend to be loners, and the average slayer doesn't live past her 20s. How could Wood's mom even think of raising a son? Even more surprising, why would someone name their son Robin when their last name rhymes with Hood? Robin Wood? Ok...

In Kennedy's defense, she's like the oldest Potential in the house. She's 19, or something like that. With that and her higher training than the rest of the Potentials, she (understandably) considers herself higher ranked than the rest of the Potentials and at the same level as the rest of the Scoobies. Her character makes herself stand out.
Besides, she dated her way into the starting lineup, just like Anya, Oz, Tara, Riley, and Jenny.

LM, how many episodes has Faith been on "Angel" for? She's only been on for two, here. Next week, Willow makes a guest appearance (and kicks magical arse).

I can't imagine how Wood's mother survived the pregnancy. I'm guessing that she did not fight vampires and demons during this time, but her responsibility as a Slayer is more important than her desire to have children.. isn't it?

Someone on a BtVS forum that I visit suggested that Wood's mother was impregnanted by her watcher. It would explain why Robin got Watcher's training. Also, I think the name 'Wood" is more of a pun than an homage to Robin Hood. What do you stake a vampire with? Wood. Unless they are the Turok-Han, of course.

Even though the character development has been light this season, they have still added a large amount of regulars to the cast. The current Scooby gang is: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Anya, Dawn, Giles, Kennedy, Andrew, Principal Wood and Spike. Plus about 25 Potential Slayers. This is compared to the very beginning of the season when it was just Buffy, Dawn and Xander. Taking care of the vampires during the last summer must have been a pain while Willow was away at Hogwarts, Spike was nuts, and Anya was evil.

'Angel' eclipses Buffy in terms of overall quality this season. What the heck do you think is going on with Cordy?

I dont have anything to say about Buffy that has not already been said, but when it comes to Angel...thats a different story.

Whats up with Cordy, you might say? I say that the Cordy this season is not even Cordy at all. But rather something very evil, and of course trying to bring about the apocolipse.

It would be interesting to find out if the Angel and Buffy universe did another cross over thing and we all came to find out that Cordy was being controlled by the FE or something to that extent. Which that might explain the return of Faith and the guest aperance of Willow in Angel.

I have a theory. It could be bunnies.

*crickets chirp*

Maybe this evil has been with her the whole time she's been half-demony. Like, maybe there was a presence inside of her that didn't start to surface until recently. For a while, I thought it might be her unborn child (think of Phoebe on "Charmed), but The Beast was around before Cordy had the chance to have sex with anyone demonic (ie. Connor).

My main concern is that the Beast fought Cordy when he originally emerged from the ground. I do not remember how injured she was, but Conner was completely devastated in the fight. If Cordelius (My name for evil Cordy) was responsible for the beast?s appearance, then why did she try to fight it? My guess is that Cordy has been evil since she first returned to Earth this year. But why was she returned to Earth in the first place? Is evil Cordy really Cordy, or some sort of doppelganger? *falls over*

Ow. Also, we need to remember that Conner was born in the exact same spot that the Beast emerged from. If there was some sort of connection between Conner and the Beast, we probably would have heard it by now. It might have been a coincidence, or it might be part of Cordelius? plan to make Conner turn evil. In the last episode we saw that he is unable to attack when within the range of the Sanctuary spell, this means he is a demon. And now Cordelius is having Conner?s demon lovechild, so he might as well go all the way and start acting more demonic.

HAH! My turn!

Ok, on Buffy, I think that the 7th season sucks. Come on, they killed off Jonathan, who was one of the sweetest characters I've known.

And Kennedy? Good God, kill her off or something! She is SO annoying! And Willow w/ Kennedy? That's only because lesbian luuurrvvvee raises the ratings. I frankly think that the whole idea is disgusting. I feel sorry for poor Ally. Kennedy is too full of herself, and frankly, I think if she got a good whoopin' sometime she'd learn to shut up more.

On to the First. One word: BLEH. It can't even DO anything, so it's just kinda . . . there. It better get big and bad and soon or I think I'm going to scream. Because I've learned to expect the worst for each episode 'cause this Season is so bad. Only the first three seasons are the good ones. Once Captain Cardboard arrived in Season Four everything fell to pieces.

And this may not be the last season. Because some characters (such as Dawn and Anya, for example) have longer contracts than this Season, and it all really depends on Sarah Michelle. If she decides that she wants to keep on doing TV, then Buffy will continue, but if she decides she wants to graduate to movies, then Buffy the Vampire Slayer will continue without . . . well, Buffy.

And onto some topics that ya'll have brought up. I, for one, disagreed with the Willow/Tara paring. I mean, Tara was a lovely person by herself, but she just couldn't hold a candle to Oz. I shall forever stay with my opinion that Willow was only perfect with Oz. Too bad Seth Green doesn't want to do TV stuff anymore . . . --;;

Dawn. In the Fifth and Sixth Seasons, she was just a whiney brat who couldn't do diddly-squat, but I feel that her character has really expanded in Season Seven. I think she's really grown up now that she's actually considered one of the Scoobs.

Spike . . . mmmm . . . vampirey goodness. ^_^ I do feel that he's better that now he's got a soul, because he's not all drooling over Buffy (ok, he is, but it's not as noticeable), and Buffy seems to be treating him more like a human being now. Now just to get back to the Buffy/Spike shippyness . . . yummy. However, if he got rid of the "I've just got a sould" angstiness, he'd be much better.

Principal Wood. More yummy goodness *_* It's also a plus that he knows how to fight vampires. However, the whole trying to kill Spike thing? I know that it was your mummy, dear, but just get over it.

And, oh yeah, the only reason that Kennedy is so old is that they needed to make the whole Willow/Kennedy pairing not so nasty. She started out 16 or something, while Will is 20 something.

And now . . . *rubs her hands together happily*

. . . onto ANGEL.

WHOOHOO! Just a happy little "Faith's back"! from me. She was always my favourite character. Buffy pales in comparsion to Angel. The humour, wit, irony, and all the other bits that make up Angel are just so much more accented than in Buffy. Maybe because of the fact that Buffy is so much gloom, doom, and the world's going to end, and Angel keeps up a mystery. Ok, not for me, because my sister is fully spoiled, and I make her tell me everything. ^_^

Ok. Character check.

Angel. Ok, I like Angelus SO much better than Angel. David does so much of a better job being evil. All goodness.

Connor. UGH. Angsty teenager. Still all pouty over Cordelia, when he really didn't shag Cordelia. And, ok, so he's slightly cute, but he just needs to shut up more. He's like Kennedy. However, thank God for Faith, showing him up. ^_^ He may be some little vampire child, but he's never gone up against a Slayer. WHOO!

Gunn. Um. I like him, but he's just way too protective of Fred. Poor Fred.

Fred. WHEE! Kyoot as a bug, she is. But I'm sure having two guys lusting after her is hard. Shows need more people like Fred. ^_^

Lorne. Yay for the green dude! He's our Xander. Happy little humour. Not much more to say, because he's hasn't gotten a lot of screen-time lately.

Wesley. Oooooo . . . more gooey yumminess. True, his lusting after Fred is a bit old by now, but he's got a lot of gut. And at least he isn't all whiney like he was when he was on Buffy. I enjoy his presence, although some days I just wanna tell him to shut up.
And now: Cordelia. Or, more to the point, Spordelia. I warn you now, this is going to be spoiled. Read if you want, and if you don't, well, STOP READING!!

Yes folks, the Cordy really isn't Cordy at all. She's some evil little hellspawn. Remember when Willow brought Buffy back from the dead, but Spike could hurt her because his chip didn't see her as human? Well, due to the happy little intervention that Cordy pulled in the casino episode, Cordy returned a little . . . well, screwy. Hello, evil Cordy. She's been in conjuction with the Beast ever since she came back, and while everyone has thought that Cordy just turned evil, nope, she's been evil the whole time.

The actual Cordy is in a coma somewhere, but we'll find that out later. Shhhhh! ^_~ And, *gasp*, guess who has Angel's soul! Bingo! Spordelia for 200 points! Bad horrible woman she is . . .
muhahahaha. Faith. Kicking behind as usual, she is, but at least she isn't a psycho murder like she was. She may say she can kill, but she never would . . . I have really missed Faith, and I wish we could see more of her. Maybe she'll teach Connor a lesson while she's here, and it won't be a lesson in love. And maybe she'll kick Spordelia butt while she's at it. ^_^ Go Faith! However, did anyone notice that the chick that attacked Faith when she was still in prison had a Bringer knife? I thought that it was neat that they managed to bring a Buffy reference into Angel. We haven't gotten enough Angel/Buffy crossovers in all the seasons that Angel has been running.

*sniffle* If only they hadn't killed Doyle off. I loved Doyle . . . T_T;;

I'm not sure if I touched on all the points I wanted to in this post, but I'm sure if I missed any, I'll go over them the next time I post. ^_^

it is an interview of David Boreanaz talking about this season of Angel, and breifly the death of Glenn Quinn(Doyle) :(

Also, I saw a commercial for the next Buffy episode and it showed spike fighting with the principal guy. They also said that, yes its gonna be the last 5 episodes and they even had a "name" for this last buffy event. just like Angel had its "Rain of fire event" buffy will have her little event

Shy, dearie, unless you're behind on Angel by about . . . lettsee . . . three weeks or so, I don't think I really did anything for your viewing enjoyment.

It has been obvious for a while that Cordelia has been evil. You know, black? Snarky? Hiding Angel's soul? Killing Lilah? Letting Angelus run amok? Kissing the Beast?

And Wednesday's episode (Orpheus) made it painfully obvious that Cordelia has moved to the Dark Side. More black, seducing Connor, trying to ruin Willow's plans, trying to kill Willow, more snark, that horrible black outfit at the end . . .

No offense Shy, but I think Angelus is right. You are losing your touch. Because unless you're just not making with the brain cells there, you should have figured this all out. The clues have been right in front of your face the whole time.

And, frankly, I don't even know if the whole "good Cordy, bad Cordy" thought is right. I could be wrong.

It's just speculation.

And it isn't like you haven't been doing that either.

So I don't appreciate your little snarking at me there. I don't think it was possible to ruin anything on Angel at this point, whether someone is spoiled or not. It isn't like the show tries to hide anything. It's all there, screaming for your attention.

So try to listen next time before attacking me.

I saw the episode yesturday, first ep. of Angel I've ever seen, and Willow was in it!^^ Lol well anyway, onto Buffy. I read an article review with SMG, and she specifically and sadly stated that Buffy was OVER. She said that the show was over, BUT, they are planning a spinoff of it, where Buffy may come back and visit every once and a while. Sadly though, the show is over, or thats what she seems to have decided. It is rather depressing...but hopefully it'll have a good spinoff. I know they are continuing Angel, of course. They stated that in the article that they aren't planning to end that any time soon. *sigh* Maybe that clears a little up? Sorry if I've said anything spoiling or somethin.Oo() Thankyou.

*points above* That is a spoiler.
Yes, she is obviously evil. But I did not know how long she has been evil, or that she was always in conjuction with the Beast... or that the real Cordy is in a coma.
Unless there is a three week time differnece between where we live, that sort of information should be in spoiler tags. Can we talk about 'Angel' and 'Buffy' though, please?

Last night's episode "Orpheus" was excellent, it is one of (if not my) favorite episode of 'Angel'. I have not seen Willow use that much of her power since she turned all black and veiny last season on 'Buffy'. In one episode Willow manages to solve most of the problems that have been effecting LA for the past few months, it makes me wonder why they haven't tried calling her sooner.

Fred seemed really interested in Willow, but not in a sexual way like Willow was hinting at. It seems like they would be really good friends, I wonder if Willow told Buffy about Angelus before she went to LA. Both of them are really similar, if Willow had never taken up magic she would probably be a lot like Fred is now. Even though Willow is not a very confident person, she really shined when she was put into the group. Everyone in LA has been getting beaten up and tortured for a very long time, I do not think that any of them have confidence in themselves anymore. Evil Cordy does not seem like much of an actual threat, but she is more powerful when she is fighting a divided group. This is turning into "The Yoko Factor" all over again.

The Faith/Angelus scenes were pretty dull. But by the end I realized that the flashbacks were for Faith, and not for Angelus. Faith can't die yet, she still has a long way to go before she can redeem herself. Hopefully her character can come full-circle before the end of 'Buffy'.

Lorne got to do something! Ok. It was not very much, but his knowledge of Orpheus was helpful. His song to Faith was nice, it shows how much of a caring [strike]person[/strike] demon Lorne is. He was the one who watched Conner last year, and this year he is taking care of the injured. It mnight be the safest place to be, especially since his swordsmanship is pretty weak.

Evil Cordy was hillarious. How Willow kept ignoring her was good too, but if Cordy could throw the knife like that she shouldn't have had much of a problem taking out Willow.

I love how Connor keeps interrupting her attempts to cast powerful spells. Connor's loyalty to Evil Cordy is interesting as wel. All of the "we are different" lines from Evil Cordy were very effective. They just fed into how racial (demon, vampire, human) Connor is. Angel might have figured out that Evil Cordy is pulling the strings, but we'll see what happens.

Angel and Mandy, hehe. I remember when he sang that at Lorne's demon bar. ^_^

Angel Recap Request

Here in Richmond, there is no WB. Angel airs at 2:35 AM on Thursday mornings on NBC. Obviously, this morning it was preempted because of special reports. So I was wondering what I missed. The episode title was "Release" & I'm positive now we're behind anyway.

Also, who knows when it will air again? Not to be insensitive about the war, but, you know.

So can somebody please tell me what happened? The last episode I saw was the one where Angelus killed the Beast & Cordy revealed to Connor that she is pregnant with his child. Details! Go ahead & tell me about the eps after "Release", too, if you don't mind.

Final note: Connor is sexy but, for godssakes, get a haircut!

Ok, Deb, the site may be a bit snarky about all of the shows, but if you go to http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com, then they have recaps of all the episodes of Angel.

Snarky, yes, but detailed.

And do we even know that Cordy is really having Connor's baby? I mean, they didn't shag each other too long ago, so Cordelia shouldn't be showing yet.

Evil demon spawn? Is evil Cordy giving birth to another evil Cordy?

And when was Cordy able to use magic?!

However, I can't wait until Charisma has her baby, as due to the fact that all the tummy they're showing really is Charisma.

But I really think they should stop dressing Cordy in black, because that just accents the fact that the poor woman is as big as a house.

Ah, to have nice, happy, un-evil Cordy back again. This evil Cordelia is just WAY too fake.

AND I WANT PHANTOM DENNIS TO SHOW UP AGAIN!!!! ><;;

LOL
I nearly died laughing at the end of the episode when Will and Fred were talking. Fred just kept on yapping and yapping, and Willow just told her "I'm seeing someone."
I found the floaty demon head kinda funny, too. Cordy obviously hasn't seen Willow in a while, because a floating transparent demon head isn't going to distract her like it would in high school.

Willow: How's it going?
Cordy: Higher power.
Willow: Ultimate evil.

I love how casually Joss' characters sum up the past few years. Like when Willow turned Amy into a human again, and Amy and Buffy exchanged a few words. All they said to each other was "rat" and "dead." Very funny.

It's sad to see Angelus go, but it was funny to see him live through Angel's memories like that. LOL, "Mandy."

Faith: You know the definition of insanity is reliving the same moment over and over, and expecting it to turn out differently. I learned that in rehab.

Sere, Cordilia is showing because its a demonic baby.

Remeber way back in the first season when she was pregnate for an episode? And she was about ready to have the baby in the same episode as well.

Well basicly its the same thing, its all weird and demon weird stuff.

second, cordilia has never been able to use magic, then again this cordilia isnt cordilia.

Does anyone know about Alyson Hannigan's real relationship?
She's not a lesbian witch, but she plays one on TV. In real life, though, ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'''s Alyson Hannigan just got engaged to ''Angel'' costar Alexis Denisof, who plays Wesley Wyndam-Pryce on the ''Buffy'' spinoff. The couple plan to marry in California in September or October, Denisof told SciFiWire over the weekend at the Television Critics Association confab in Hollywood. Denisof, 36, met Hannigan, 28, when his character first appeared alongside Hannigan's Willow on ''Buffy.'' He said that, while both shows were on a Christmas production break, he took her on a romantic picnic in California's Napa Valley, where he popped the question. ''I'm the luckiest guy in the world right now,'' Denisof told SciFiWire. ''Sorry. She's mine. All mine! Ha ha ha ha!'' Um, a laugh like that may be a sign you've been working with vampires for too long.
Wow, this was a great episode. I am so glad to have the Spike/Robin conflict develop more, and there were a few good moments for the other characters as well.

Dawn got hurt. Her head trauma was not a small thing to be ignored. Spike has never tried to hurt her, this was a major turning point in the Spike/Dawn relationship. Over the past two years Dawn has proven that she doesn't stand for this sort of stuff. Remember how pissed off Dawn was when Willow got her into that car accident? I expect her to be like that all over again. But Buffy was there to comfort Dawn in the past, this is different. Buffy completely ignored Dawn's head trauma and shrugged it off with a simple "She'll be fine." Later in the episode Buffy says that she would kill Dawn if it meant saving the world. this is a complete 180 from Buffy's "If Dawn dies, then the last thing she'll see is me protecting her" speech from Season 5.

Even though she is an interdimensional ball of glowing green energy, Dawn is weak. She is not a potential slayer, she is not a witch, and she is not a vampire with a soul. Buffy has decided that if there is going to be a war, she would rather have Spike fighting by her side.

I am so glad that Principal Wood and Giles conspired to kill Spike. I don't hate Spike or anything, but he has proven to be a liability, especially over the past year. The room full of crosses was very cool, but I have no idea why Spike would willingly go to Wood's house. William The Bloody should be a little smarter than that. But Principal Wood accidentally cured Spike, now Spike realizes that he is not responsible for what he did before he ganed his soul. If only Angel could learn this lesson...

Here are some lies...
- William's mother lied to him about liking his poetry.
- Giles lied to Buffy in order to distract her from the Spike/Robin battle.
- Buffy told Dawn that she would always protect her.
- Joyce's(?) mysterious messages to Buffy and Dawn.

I am beginning to think that Joyce's messages to Dawn might be the real thing from the Powers That Be. Buffy has just left Giles, her Watcher/Father Figure. She feels betrayed, probably more than she did when Giles drugged her on her 18th birthday. I don't think that there is time to reunite the two of them before the final battle begins, they may end up being in seperate sides. This may be more than Good vs. Evil. It could end up as Good vs. Misguided Good vs. Evil... and that really hurts the group. Seperated Scoobies are completeely useless, and now Willow is out of town. Did it bother anyone else that 'Buffy' seems to be a week behind 'Angel'?

I do not know about Joyce's messages to Buffy though, it seems like Joyce is pushing Buffy to see the evil within everyone. Buffy can't fight the First Evil if it resides within everyone, so maybe the FE is using Joyce to hurt Buffy's morale. Giles and Joyce seem to be preaching the same message, does that mean the two are connected. I still don't trust Giles, his excuse on how he dodged the axe was completely lame.
