Along with the FF7 movie (bleh) two new Kingdom Hearts games were announced.

The first is simply Kingdom Hearts 2 for PS2. The second is KH: Chain of Memories for GBA.

Should be obvious what images are for what system.

I don't have any real, concrete info yet. I don't think any other site has translated the pages.

Square makes games pretty much where ever they please. Sony has a share in them, but it was never enough to totally affect decisions, and now that they combined with Enix, Sony's share is even smaller.

They have FF: Crystal Chronicles coming out for GC in the US now (it's more of an action RPG - we have a thread on it).Plus FF: Tactics Advance was already released on GBA here. Sword of Mana is set to follow, and they showed off some Chocobo game months back... but I don't know what came of it.

They're from Quiter originally, scanned from magazines. One of them is hosted at Gamefront.de though.

According to tennin at GAF, the magazine spread basically says:

"Kingdom Hearts GBA's development is being outsourced (to Jupiter, makers of Pokemon Pinball and Sakura Wars GB).

KH2 is still very early: they haven't given a release date for it, not even the generic "2004" of KH GBA and Advent Children."

So there's some info.

Gamespot has stated that Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA will be coming out next year. The GBA game will be keeping its Disney theme with all the Disney characters and worlds.

The only info they gave about Kingdom Hearts II is that Sora, Kairi, and Riku are going to be in it and that the game will pick up from the first story, but I think we all saw that one coming.

Mickey: The midget Ronin.

Hmm to be honest I'm not overly excited over this, the GBA game seems to have the same landscapes as the first and I hated the Aladdin 'level', I really did.

The artwork looks pretty good, but the graphics seem to have the same engine as its predecessor. The only thing I want is a solid plot personally, but that's just me.

The looks do not dissapoint me, but its doesn't help as it is Japanese, heh.

I got these off GAF... They're hosted at squarenet, but they cheated that.

Hmm. I like Sora's new outfit.

Aside from that, there's not a tremendous amount to be excited about (all though the trailer looked pretty neat, as most people seem to agree). I hope they do more in the way of character development, and that the plot is more Final Fantasy-like. Maybe we'll get to see a few more FF cameos.

Chain of Memories should be a nice way to pass the time until Deep Dive actually comes out.

I strongly doubt that Mickey is the main character, although he probably plays a much larger role than in the first Kingdom Hearts.

Just looking at the pictures and the Deep Dive trailer, I don't see much to indicate that Mickey would be the main character. It'll probably be Sora, or possibly Riku.

I got this info from Kingdom Hearts site called Ziddy.net. I must say I'm very intrigued by this info. ^^

KH II Information

Production staff

Director: Tetsuya Nomura
Scenario: Kazushige Nojima
Battle: Yuichi Kanemori
Producer: Shinji Hashimoto
Co-Producer: Yoshinori Kitase

From the interview:

- Many more original characters than in KH1

- The mysteries will be more mysterious

- Work on the game just started, so they don't have a scenario or a battle system yet

- They've already chosen all the Disney stuff they'll be using - including, they say, some from places nobody would ever expect

- Some FF characters from KH1 will return, to be joined by ones new to the series, for a total of almost 10.

- No reusing saves from KH1

- Sora will be the main character, though they've added a slight complication there

- They'd like to have the same voice actors from KH1 (but they haven't yet started preparing for voice recording)

- The president of Buena Vista Games asked "please make Kingdom Hearts games through #20"

- Absolutely nothing about a theme song has been decided

- This is all the media and info on the game they plan to release for now; they won't show anything more until next year's E3

- They've been preparing for KH2 for a long time

- The themes will be "bonds of the spirit" and "promises"

- The story will be similar to "1"'s in its basic outline, but will be vastly more complex

- The character resembling Sora is confirmed to be holding a Keyblade.

- Not all the FF and Disney characters from KH1 will return

- Winnie the Pooh will return

- There will be many more things to do in each world

- The basic system won't change, but the response and camera will be improved

- There's a secret behind Sora's change of clothes

- There will be a new system involving clothes; this system could be called the heart of KH2 (different from the FFX2 dress-up system)

- More commands will be added to the battle, you'll be able to do a lot more

- The summon magic will be completely different

- There will be a choice of difficulty levels like in Final Mix

- The gummi ship features will be amazing this time

I believe the Kingdom Hearts 2 game looks good indeed, but I wouldn't buy the GBA game. I don't usually like games turned from PS2 to GBA. They just aren't GBA type games. On GBA I usually like games like Mario or Tetris. Kindom Hearts 2 certainly looks promising.

Sorry I was in a rush. I just heared this from a reliable source. The video's: Deep Dive and Other side, Other story they both Have nothing to do with KH II.

Is that more clearer? I was in a rush to get to class.
Er.... what "reliable source" are you referring to? I'm a little dubious about what you're saying. After all, why would they make the Deep Dive trailer if it actually had nothing to do with KH-II?

.............

I don't think Squenix would go to all that trouble just to make people confused.....

That and the fact that many of the characters in the Deep Dive trailer are all in a drawing on the first set of images I posted. Mickey's even in his hooded outfit.

It's even in this official wallpaper: http://www.disney.co.jp/interactive/kingdom/com/images/wallpaper02_01.jpg

There are clear images thanks to Gamespot. They looked resampled and cleaned up to me though, which might explain why most are so damn smooth.

Hm. This game looks really good. I might enjoy it (that is, if I get it). I just hope that it actually is better than the first.

These new characters, they make me wonder. Why is it that they don't show the face of that guy who resembles Sora? Do these people not want it to be spoiled for us? The guy with the pink hair looks interesting as well, and love those things that he's holding in the first picture in Semjaza's last post.

I wish I had info on this. I sort of saw it coming, but not really like this. I imagined Sora and co. to be a little older (than that anyway). It might happen in another KH game, who knows?

The "guy who resembles Sora" is holding the "Promise" Keyblade (or whatever it's called.... anyway, if I'm seeing correctly, it has the charm that Kairi gave Sora in KH).

The other guy's hair looks more reddish than pink to me.... and I agree, his weapons seem very cool indeed.

Sora appears a bit older/more mature. Or maybe it's just that he's wearing darker clothes. ^_^;;

OH MY GOODNESS. (Drools) I am so going to buy this game. That was incredible. the way Mickey attacked them all. The graphics look so much smoother than the original game. I hope that the one holding the two keyblades is the one who you get to use. ^_^ I Can't wait for this game! Who is that masked man? I really think this is going to be the best game yet. Keep posting stuff like this Semjaza Azazel. Just when hundreds of questions I had of this game was answered Thousands more came up. *sigh* The downside of human kind. I really can't wait for this game.

Edit: Oh and forget what I said before. I was in a rush and I posted what a friend of mine said. It won't happen again.
