Kittie Posted October 18, 2001 Posted October 18, 2001 why did the show talk less and less about dragonballs?! it's come to a point where they seem to not even care about them...well until later... would that have made the show more boring for the characters to continusly search for the dragonballs? :babble:
coolkam007 Posted October 18, 2001 Posted October 18, 2001 yea.. theres only soo much a person can wish for.. :/ .. if i got two wishes i think that would be enough for me.. .. atlho i could probably live with 1..
WarGreymon01 Posted October 18, 2001 Posted October 18, 2001 If you think about it they talked less and less about the Dragonballs because of all the powerful enemies they had to fight like Cell and the Androids. the only enemy they fought over the Dragonballs General Tao/Red Ribbon Army and Frieza.
Lady Macaiodh Posted October 18, 2001 Posted October 18, 2001 i think they only use them now when disasters are happening...although it would be wise to wish that the earth would never be threatened by an enemy again...but maybe they just want an excuse to fight. i was watching dbz at college & it was the frieza saga. i was explaining to my friend will the premise of the dragonballs. then he said "why didn't they just wish that nobody else could use the dragonballs but them?" i was stumped.

well.. theres a possibility that they didn't think of that before.. or.. they could have been smart and thought .. what happens when they die?.. who can use them then? :P who could wish them back?

So I don't see why they would have to wish for it.
Lady Macaiodh Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001 yeah, but the point is people like garlic jr. & frieza would try to steal them & make wrong wishes. & btw, garlic jr. did use them, that's why he's immortal. deadzone's coming on this week, you'll see.
PiroMunkie Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001 In DragonBall and DragonBall Z they're mainly used to just revive people and whatever. Most of the attention is actually on other stuff. But if GT ever comes around to Toonami, you'll be seeing and hearing more of them. The DragonBalls are basically the main character in GT.

Guest Altron Gundam Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001 Ii Shenron looks like a chinese chef.... Anyway, they use the dragonballs even less and less because they only need them for so much.
Guest Voodookanaka Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001 y didnt vegita ever wish 4 immortality
Gee-enki Dama Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001
Originally posted by Voodookanaka y didnt vegita ever wish 4 immortality
I dont think Kame(sp?) or Dende would ever summon the dragon to let him, and he ran into problems with Frieza on Namek
Sephiroth Posted November 1, 2001 Posted November 1, 2001
Originally posted by Voodookanaka y didnt vegita ever wish 4 immortality
he only wanted to be immortal so that he could destroy furiza and become powerful, but after knowing it was possible to turn ssj, I guess he didn't need to become immortal....
Guest Voodookanaka Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 yeh, makes sense I guess, Id still have thought hed want it but meh.
kileone_s_n Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 they really do talk less about them now, i guess thats because toriyama changed and focused more on fights as the series progressed.
