What makes you laugh?

[SIZE=1]Laughter. It's a cure for the blues, a way to unwind after a long day at work or school, and it's a fantastic way of connecting with people.

But what really makes you laugh? Is it one of your friends who can make you laugh no matter what? Is it a popular comedian? Dumb comedy movies? Intelligent comedy movies? Internet cartoons? Share your cure for the blues right here.

As for me, when I've had a bad day, I love watching stand-up comedy, whether it's on TV, DVD or even live on occasion. [B][URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bailey"]Bill Bailey[/URL][/B], [B][URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Howard"]Russell Howard[/URL][/B], [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Izzard"][B]Eddie Izzard[/B][/URL] and [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stewart_Lee"][B]Stewart Lee[/B][/URL] are just a few of my favourites, and all with very different styles. They're all about on YouTube in various forms, so check them out if you enjoy that sort of thing.

I also enjoy various comedy shows - Scrubs is a favourite, Family Guy and American Dad are very funny too, and there's some British comedies which I'm a huge fan of - [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaced"][B]Spaced[/B][/URL], [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_wing"][B]Green Wing[/B][/URL], [B][URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peep_Show_%28TV_series%29"]Peep Show[/URL] [/B]and [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_books"][B]Black Books[/B][/URL] to name but a few.

And, of course, the British cult hit that British people either love or hate, [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mighty_boosh"][B]The Mighty Boosh[/B][/URL].

I like to find humor in anything. Its the one thing my fiancee loves to hate about me. When I told her I was going to Iraq the way I dd it was. "Hun, I've got great news. The deployment I signed up for is heading to the worlds largest sand box....sorry no girls allowed though" Smart...no Good way to break news....no. Funny as hell....to me yes but to friends and famiy.....no.

So I find myself laughing at my own jokes alot.....well all the time. But what is even sadder than that is the fact that other peoples jokes crack me up.....so I do love stand up. Stupid funny...ironic funny....not funny funny. If you have a joke...I'll probably laugh...and if not. Then you should never tell the joke again. (Oh and turning a phrase is the most underated type of humor.

I like to laugh at anything if its funny not funny. Like if I fall I laugh when someone says something stupid or out the way I laugh. No matter what I alway's find something to laugh, even at work were I wash dishes for severel hours I laugh at how much work i have to do.

[SIZE="1"]I laugh at stupid things between my brother and I, that no one else understands. Or with my mom, she has an awesome since of humor.

As for movies, I like the older ones. The new comedy style these days really sucks. I like movies like Hot Shots, Ace Ventura, The Mask, Airplane, Cops and Robbersons, Overboard, etc. I can't stand anything with Will Ferrell, or anything similar, which is pretty much everything I've seen coming out lately.

People who I think are funny are Wanda Sykes, Carol Burnett, Kevin James(sometimes), Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Carrey.

Those British shows on basic cable are pretty funny too, lol![/SIZE]

Lots of things make me laugh, from comics like the vgcats to stuff by Eddie Izzard. Cake or Death anyone? I also like watching some of the older British comedies when I get the chance. Like Keeping up Appearances or Are you being served. Some of those older shows are totally hilarious. I know if I had a neighbor like Hyacinth Bucket, I'd move. XP It's fun to watch though.

Anyway, I pretty much try to keep laughing at all times. Either by reading various webcomics, watching funny movies or taking part in various shenanigans. I'm usually at least attempting to smile. I also like jokes.

Anyway, I really enjoy reading up on various comics either online or in the newspaper. Calvin and Hobbes is a favorite and recently I've taken to reading vg cats. I also love some of the older British comedies like Keeping up Appearances. I love pulling those out to laugh at when I've had a rotten day. [/FONT][/COLOR]
