You can only tribute monster that you control, so yes, the monster has to be on your side of the field. As for your second question, the first "type" you are talking about is actually called the "Attribute" in English, so it's Dragon, Plants, Fiends and not Dark or Light. Confusion comes from the fact that in Japanese, the "attribute" is called the "type", and English "types" are "sub-types".

well, since a ritual card allow you to bring a monster from your hand or deck, a 1 card/1 mons ratio should be the best. What's interesting with this type of deck is that you can't trap hole a ritual summon :devil:

Maybe find a way to include a Magic Jammer or two (discard Red-eyes, then Monster Reborn :devil: ), those can truely save the duel

I like Nimble Momonga because all my deck needs stalling, and this card is great for healing. Trap card: my fav has to be Gravity Bind. Magic is Soul release: get rid of all thos annoying cards that would come back otherwise.
