But there was a mod running around editing people's posts making them look dumb etc. Would your rather have a mod like that or a mod like the ones we have today???
That has nothing to do with being strict. That is all about making choices.
Junnagou was banned for flamming and causing fighting, now you would think that someone who was banned would stay banned wouldn't you? Well he didn't, he came back under the name of Kazuma K...
And that's what IP banning is for :P.
So you see the mods, super mods, Admin, and James work very hard to keep OB clean from rude people like that...
Amen to that. You do, do a good job at what you do, but *I think* it can still be improved upon.
And another thing, the people that were banned because of bad grammar were banned for specific reasons, one being the fact that some of them were just too young and their post quality wouldn't change for the time being...
Your right in the fact, that I'd say about what 90% of the time the banning for grammar can be understood and is correct. But now how do you define "too young" and how do you know their post quality won't change -_o. There are some people who are not as aquainted with the computer as you and I. Whether it be because they choose not to go on or just cannot, as long as what as said can be understood aside from a warning nothing else should occur.
I seem to remember seeing your posts when you first joined etc. Some of it was rather.. How shall I word this. Obnoxious, bullheaded, no wait my favorite! Noobish. You had the tendency to fly off at the mouth during some discussions in the gundam forum.
It's "n00bish" -_-'. Graphic n00bs can't comprehend why we spell it like that... But anyway i'm glad you brought that up, but then if you think about it my posting style has changed but a little so that is a irrelevant comment. The only reason I recieve a tiny bit more respect than I did before is because I have been here for a while. Mods just need to show a little more leniency towards newbies, they act as if they are going to destroy the whole world -_-. Also expressing dissaproval or distaste about something such as a certain T.V. Series, food, etc. Should not be considered flaming, so what if someone "flames" a inanimate object/thing -_o as long as it's not a person it should be tolerated. It's also quite funny how what I always say is always taken in a bad way ^_^, now there's nothing wrong with being "too" strict and sure OB can function the way it is. The whole point of me posting is to give you a different spin on things and to try to get across to you all that OB can be better.

Too start a debate you don't have to put it in a debate like format, I could say "I like chicken" and give a reason and all. And next post someone could say "I despise chicken" and explain why... and thus starts a debate -_o. But whatever, the mods just need to chillax a little more i've got nothing against them but alot of you are giving them more credit than they deserve =\.

Seta stood in the corner of a large rectangular waiting room inside the Battle Dome. He saw some of the people he met earlier sitting at a table talking to one another, and even contemplated joining them but decided against it as his eyes were fixed upon the huge T.V. screen hanging from the rooms upper right corner. Two NetNavis were battling, but from the looks of it the battle was almost over... ???- Ah now who do we have here? If it isn't young Kyoji, didn't I teach you last time, a NetNavi battle is no place for a weakling like you. Seta jolted up from his slumped position and turned to face the ever so familiar voice of Hanya, the leader of SHU. Seta- ... Hanya- What is that all you can say, for your good old friend? I'm dissapointed Seta. But what brings you here to the Masters Tournament? If I recall in our last battle I showed you and your worthless NetNavi the price of betrayal... Seta- Shut up Hanya. Burst Man was 10x the NetNavi than you'll ever have. Hanya- "Was"? Intresting... I'll see you in the ring Seta, because if the schedule on the wall doesn't lie than your up next... Don't lose Seta because the only one who gets to humiliate you is me. Hanya turned around and walked away, Seta watched as Hanya joined up with a few other people... most likely other members of SHU. Seta then walked over to the direction in which Hanya had pointed and sure enough there was the schedule for all the NetNavi Battles. Seta- Hmmmm... So i'm battling in Arena 13 at 5:15... ---Seta glanced at the clock and noticed he only had 10 minutes to prepare--- ...and my opponent is Kevin Erif, huh this guy doesn't sound so tough... Seta skimmed the list and ran across a few familiar names, both the names Akira and Will were listed under his. It seemed as though Akira would be fighting in Arena 12 and Will in Arena 16 at the same time as Seta would be fighting in Arena 13. Seta- Eh... Must be some strang coincidence or something... Seta walked of to the table at which Akira and Will were at, and upon arrival told the two of the good news...

The mods are definatly too strict -_o. They are not jackasses but they are too strict. OB is the only forum where I have seen people get banned and what not for bad grammer, now that's telling you something considering I have been at many forums... I think that the mod has to be more lax when it comes to grammer and what not as long as you can understand what the post says who cares if there is improper use of grammer. And if you are to ban someone because of grammer just make it a temporary ban or something -____o. And even though I understand what the mods are doing by closing some threads there are times in which I think there taking things to the extreme... Eh basically look at this thread ---> http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25124 Right done reading it o_O?... That was in no way flaming, that's just starting a debate. As long as he's not directing any insults at an individual posting he ---or anyone--- for matter of fact should be able to post something like that. :P... So basically if it's possible OB needs to be more open-minded, let someone post something "bad" about a individual series, it could start a good debate. (btw i'm not picking on Shy or anything, I just don't belive that, that particular thread needed to be closed o_o.) Other than that -_o... I guess the mods aren't half bad, OBs a nice place because you don't have the massive flame wars and true spam that you get over at XF x__X.

It had been exactly two hours since Seta had started to download his new Netnavi, Seta now found himself trudging up the stairs sweat dripping from his back. During the two hour wait, he had been outside sharpening his soccer skills dribbiling around cones taking shots on a make-shift goal but now that the long wait was over and it was time to see what his new NetNavi could do. Seta pushed open the door to his room and took a few steps inside, he walked over to his PET and began to pick it up only to jump back in surprise as a white and black Netnavi appeared from out fo nowhere. Seta- "!!!" Burst- "Hello Seta, I'm your new Netnavi... Burst!" Seta- "Heh... Hey there Burst, caught me by surprise" (Seta glanced at his alarm clock it was only 3:00 p.m. , then a idea suddenly popped into his head). Seta- "Yo Burst?" Burst-"What is your command?" Seta- "Are you up for a few Net battles?" Burst- "Sure, why not. Why do you ask?" Seta- "Oh... No reason" said Seta as a wide grin spread across his face. Seta picked up his backpack (which was laying on the floor) and threw it across his back he then picked up his PET, and ignoring Burst's questions of where they were going ran down the stairs at full speed. Seta had finally remebered the other reason why he had wanted to get his new Netnavi by today... Today was the start of the NetNavi Net Masters Tournament. It was being held in a huge dome shaped building called the "Battle Bowl", the only problem now was making it to the Battle Bowl before 4:30, when all registrations for the tournament would be closed...

Seta had long since left his room and could now be found sitting on his front steps, moping about waiting for the all important mail to arrive. Normally Seta could have cared less for the mail and would have left it for one of his two brothers to get, but today was the day his Custom NetNavi was supposed to arrive. Seta tired of waiting sat down on the steps leading up to his house and as if right on cue, a blue and white postal truck pulled up to his mailbox. The driver rolled down the window and opened the white mailbox. He then withdrew the mail inside and placed a series of letter-like packages in the mailbox. At the sight of this Seta was immediatly up and off, he ran to the mailbox so fast that he caught sign of the Mail-Truck turning the corner. Seta opened the mailbox and began to thumb through the mail. "Hmmmm... Something from the school (probably a detention notice thought Seta)..." Seta continued to look through the mail he passed through a bunch of letters addressed to his parents, an early birthday card from some relatives, and even his new GamePro Magazine, but there was no sign of a letter addressed to him, or of a package that would contain his NetNavi upgrade kit. "D*mn it" said Seta aloud. He had been looking forward to this day all week... The ordering information said that he should have received his package in one week at the latest. Seta turned around gloomy-eyed and walked back into the house. He threw all the mail except for his Gamepro on the kitchen counter and then continued up the stairs to his room. Once reaching his room he set his magazine down on his computer table, and fell backwards onto the bed. "..." Now Seta was angry and depressed. He looked about his room and caught sight of his PET lying on the floor. He bent over and picked it up... "What good is this if I don't have a functional NetNavi..." Seta got up from his bed again and placed his PET next to his new Gamepro Magazine. He decided he might as well see what was happening in the gaming world and picked up the magazine. He briskly flipped through the pages but came to an abrupt stop as a small rectangular package fell from the magazine to the floor. "What the..." Seta kneeled down picked up the package and instinctively opened it. Inside was a small silver CD. "No way... No way!!! It's here haha! It's finally here!" Seta was overcome with joy. He frantically searched around for his PET, then felt like an idiot when he remembered that it was sitting right in front of him. He inserted the small CD into the PET, and waited as it loaded. Within in a few minutes a blue interface came which asked a variety of questions about Seta and the new NetNavi he wanted to create. Seta carefully answered the questions and designed his NetNavi exactly as he had envisioned it. Seta clicked "ok" a few times before coming to a black screen which read... "Warning before installing new NetNavi you must clear all previous Netnavi data. Would you like to delete your previous Net Navi? [Yes] [No]" Seta thought about it for a moment... but he knew what he had to do... "... Burst Man... Old friend, it looks like this is where we part... You and I both know your not what you used to be, every day we go on like this were both killing ourselves. That's why i'm doing this... I... I hope you understand. Burst Man you will be avenged!" Seta reluctantly clicked yes, and within seconds his old NetNavi, his old friend was gone. A few quick preloading sequences went by and then a downloading screen came up. Seta had read about this before and knew that he would now have to wait 1-2 hours for his new Netnavi to be created, uploaded to his PET and for it to become aquainted with it's new surroundings. Seta gently placed his PET down on it's stand, and began to walk out of the room but not before answering one last question concering his new new Netnavi. PET- Would you like do name your new Netnavi? "D*mn straight I would." Seta quickly thumbed the letters B-U-R-S-T into his PET and hit the return button. Seta knew nothing could ever replace the old Burst Man, but this new NetNavi of his simply named "Burst" would live on in the memory of Burst Man, and carry out his duties as if the two NetNavi's were one and the same. ---------------------- (Now that the boring part is over, the fun part is about to begin! Hehe NetNavi battles galore =])

Never buy Paintshop Pro... it's a piece of crap. Stick with photoshop. :p

Young 15 year old Seta Kyoji sat in his room bored to death. It has been exactly one week ago while he was battling against the notorious NetNavi gang known as "Shu" (Shu = wind god, the members of Shu use NetNavi's with a wind attribute) that his old NetNavi had suffered an un-repairable injury to it's set of legs. Seta had been just lucky enough to log out in time, otherwise it would have been the end of the road for his old friend. But even though Seta had managed to save his NetNavi, that fact that it was unable to use it's legs and thus unable to battle had left both Seta and his NetNavi in a devoid state of mind, always hovering between depression and anger. But hopefully this conflict of mind would end soon, Seta had recently sent away for a personal NetNavi upgrade kit. With this kit he planned on doing something which he knew he would love and hate at the same time... he planned to delete his old NetNavi and replace it with new more powerful one. A Netnavi with which Seta planned to use, to not only exact his revenge with... but to destroy the entire Shu gang with aswell. -------------------- (err sorry about my writing skills I haven't written anything in ages x__X)

If it's not too much to ask could the end of this content please be moved to a sooner date -_o;... submissions are dieing out, and on the 20th or whenever this is supposed to end there's a good chance I will be gone on vacation... That was going to be the one term I had before posting my banner, but then I decided to make a banner and post it for fun anyway x__X.

Anime is tallgeese faster than the other gundams?
Hittokiri Zero replied to wizard-of-oz's topic in Otaku Central
Err.. guys tech specs wise Deathscythe Hell is the fastest :P... A speed of 170 is greater than that of the Wing Zeros, Tallgeeses, and Epyons, for those of you who didn't know. Now don't get me wrong with a speed of 160 Wing Zero and Epyon are just about on par with Deathscythe Hell in terms of speed, but Deathscythe Hell is the fastest [end disscusion] lol. But such as Domon here said in GW the strongest gundam is the Wing Zero. Wickedthought did bring up a good point a few moments ago though, the animation isn't neccesarily consistent when talking in terms of speed (which isn't really a bad or good thing), so if your basing your assumptions off the animation then your answer is going to be quite faulty. Also if you thing logically, Deathscythe Hell was in a sense built for stealth and speed, such as the original Deathscythe was, Wing Zero on the other hand wasn't neccesairly built for speed. It's more of a all around great --- all purpose mobile suit. (Yes it is a Gundam, but dur! any Gundam is also considered a mobile suit :P). -
The text for rules, register, etc. look's Harry potter-ish :p... which isn't really the way you want to go as far as attracing members would be. I don't like the little gap inbetween either.

I personally prefer Cinema 4D XL over 3DSM, the main difference is that Cinema 4D XL has like no tutorials thus you are forced to self teach yourself, where'est with 3DSM you can find a decent amount of good easy to understand tutorials. Then theres bryce and lightwave... both of which I have never experimented with :P.
-
lol that's great, I have that same Kenshin cel, only thing is Kenshin's hair looks kinda "Fro-ish" if you know what I mean.
-
Initial D contains a lost of J-Euro songs all of which are spectacular, and like Dan Rugh here I find the change refreshing and just plain out cool :D!!!
-
Well more than I think it's bad I just know that it's still somewhat lacking :P. It just seems incomplete to me =\. Well now that I *think* I might have got photoshop 7.0 to work I'm going to go and try to throw that quick techy grid on that I was talking about.
How did you make that beam hitting the planet?
About 3 layers of airbrushing + smudge tool x__X. But it's the effect around the planet that really brings out the beam.
Although I think you should make all the links one color only...
I'll take that in to consideration ^^'.
-
O_O.... not even I can complain...
-
It's kind of plain, and the images look jaggedy :P. But argh *waves hands in the air* look at my banner -___- not much better I guess... :P
-
Yeah i'm not saying your saying that ^_^. I'm just saying in general that's the way it is with the majority of people =D.
-
Well the thing is there are alot of people making 3D-ish stuff today, but many of them lack purpose and ****. They make renders and are like "oh yeh I made a render i'm good" but if you head on over to DA and look at the amazing **** there it's only amazing because people take the time to plan out how the image is going to be. :P... pfft... just felt like saying something to break the silence ^__^, no ones commenting on my OB banner either >:|.
-
=P... I guess Darkness could be fine, but I just don't really like the way how you can see through Saitou x_X.
-
Typography needs some work =\. The picture of Saitou looks a little weird to :P. I like the fact that your trying a new quote for the banner though, although two of my favorite quotes from Saitou (which you might want to try) are ---> "You tame a dog with food. You tame a man with money. But there is nothing that can tame a Miburo." and dur like you couldn't see this coming =D! "Aku Soku Zan" (this next one won't look good on a banner but me likes it anyway =]) "After all, a wolf is a wolf. Shinsengumi is Shinsengumi. And a Hitokiri is a Hitokiri. Isn?t he, Battousai . . ." Anyway back to the sig =D. I don't think lowering the opacity on the picture looks good =P. And I guess move the text a little more in the middle/to the right and err... this may just be me but i'm not sure if all that blackness is really matching Saitou.
-
Rough Draft. Blog: Colors don't match with OB... sooo -_o I can make a new style if I feel like it. Is some of the faded text too hard to read? There's some kind-of plain-ish space I might elaborate on. Sure the banner's differnt but I didin't feel like using any filters, just used all brushing again x_X. The entire black space is not part of the banner if you didn't notice look at the banner closer if your confused. Colors came out darker than they were supposedto again =\ Now that I look at it OB text is kinda of small-ish -_-. The colors of the text that says "profiel" and "enjoy!" are purposley different. Organized Blog: eh... you guys wanted it I didn't... ... I basically had to try and make a laser beam like thing hitting a planet and kind of making it get melted away so that came out pretty good... I stuck the Alucard pic in because this is a mainly based Anime Forum and the picture just kind of matched... Anyway I'm really dissapointed of how the colors look so dark when saved as a jpeg yet when saved as a PSD look smack, the way the colors came out kind of makes the banner a lost cause... =\... oh well back to the drawing boards... Enough stalling i'm too lazy to upload this... *attach* edit: text does look faded a little too much to me... and I might go back and create a subtle techy grid effect for fun.
