1. This thread is just to compare records that you have set in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Longest Insane Jump: approx. 230 ft. Greatest Insane Jump Rotation: 330+ degrees Most Damage Created: $6.5 million Highest Vigilante Level: Lvl 45 in a Hunter VTOL. Most Money Collected: $3 million That is all I can think of for now.
  2.
Originally posted by Domon RX-78-2 (Oringinal Mobile Suit Gundam.), GP01-FullVernian (0083), and i think that those are the only other cameo apperances, but what was funny with Wing Gundam was that Gundam Wing hadn't even been mad yet, or it was in the proccess of being made, and it hadn't aired yet cause it didn't come out till 95'.
I think you are right about the RX-78 showing up. I do not remember the GP01, but it has been a while since I saw it. As for Wing Gundam showing up before Gundam W was made, I would have to guess that it was a "sign of things to come" by the creators. If I remember the dates of release correctly, I would bet that Gundam W was in being created at the time that G Gundam was airing on TV.
  3. G Gundam kicks ***. It is definately one of the best in the series of Gundam shows. Has anyone else noticed that in the final episode Wing Gundam makes an appearance durning the space battle with the Colony Dark (Devil) Gundam? I think there were a few more random Gundams, from other titles, that appeared in that episode, but I forget which ones.
  4.
Originally posted by vaporjolt If you're talking about the NIGHT energy sniper rifle, then I'd have to agree with you.
I think that is the one. I do not own the game (yet), but I have already ordered it and should have it with in week. The one I really like has a brown/red frame and a silver barrel (IIRC).
And the Back-mounted dual-gatling guns are the most destructive weapons in the game. I used them against Ultimate Nine Ball and totally destroyed him.
I never really liked the dual gatling guns for some reason. I always prefered the single, light gatling gun. Between the light gatling gun and the sniper rifle I am prepared for most enemies. As for Ultimate Nine Ball, I think the reason that the dual gatling guns worked so well is because UNB is protected against energy weapons, but damaged easily by ammo weapons.
I made a thread months ago and barely anyone replied. It was almost heart breaking, but just know this... I will be willing to talk about these games forever. Your not alone in loving these games no matter how many replies this thread gets.
That is great to hear, Gokents. I am glad that there are others out there that enjoy this game as much as I do.
  5. BOOOOOO! HISSSSSS! I dislike Robotech (well, technically Harmony Gold) because the series featured designs that were stolen from my favorite game (Battletech). Such as the MAD-3R Marauder, and the WHM-6R Warhammer. Each of those pictures was given to FASA, who created the game of Battletech, until Harmony Gold started suing them over the rights to the artwork. I cannot believe they won. The only good thing is that the Unseen (name for original artwork) has recently been remade and looks a lot better. Plus, there were rumors about Harmony Gold losing the rights to pictures to another company (I love the humor in that).
  6. Has anyone else ever played this game? And if so, what did you think of it? In my opinion, this is one of the greatest games for the PS2 system (but then again, I am partial to mecha games). Not only can you customize your AC (Armored Core) in too many ways to count, you also get to test it out on some of the strangest looking enemies ever (such as the Giant MT). And best of all, if you beat all 100 "sorties" you unlock a special hidden island where you get to fight enemies seen in the earlier Armored Core games (and overweight AC's are allowed for the fights). For those of you that have played or own Armored Core 2 and have the games saved on your memory card, you can start the games on AC2:AA, which means you have a head-start in cash. Favorite Hand Weapon: Sniper Rifle (energy). Longest range and will take out most MT's with one shot. Favorite Back Weapon: Gatling Gun. For when things get crowded. Three Favorite Levels: Giant MT, what is more fun then a enemy ten times your size? One with missiles and grenades out the ***. Destroy Airplane Prototypes, 35,000ft in the air and four airplanes to smash. 2nd Hidden Island Fight, Are they sure that enemy is an AC? It seems too big for that.
  7.
Originally posted by sage kids talking about how great it is to shoot! It's a sick, sad world...
Not really. Well, maybe a little. Their is not problem with shooting a gun, but only at a paper target in the middle of the woods and under a controlled situation. Teaching a kid to shoot is not necessarily a bad thing, if you teach them under the proper conditions. I learned how to fire a gun at a young age, but was also taught by my father (an ex-cop) and my uncle (still a cop) the proper why to treat a weapon of such power. Because of that I know how to handle a gun and thus have a greatly lowered chance of bringing harm to someone with one by accident. The fault for misusing a gun does not lie with the kid, TV or video games. The fault lies with the kid's parents, who did not teach him/her to respect something that dangerous.
  8.
Originally posted by LostProphet Calibre: .50 Magnum
*Sarcasm* Great! Yet another gun that ranks with the Desert Eagle as a "Fifty-caliber Hand Cannon." What is the point of a gun that big? Sure, target practice is fun, but a .50 caliber Magnum is just plain overkill. On a side note, has anyone else ever fired an AR-15? (Which is a civilian version of the M-16)
  9. Anyone else on this forum read this comic? Or am I the only one? For those of you that do not read it, you should (if you love Sci Fi action). If anyone has ever read and liked Gunsmith Cats, then you should like this comic too since it was made by the same person that wrote Gunsmith Cats (Kenichi Sonoda). For a description of the comics go here Cannon God Exaxxion. A note: Anyone offended by blood, death, nudity or sexual innuendos should avoid this comic. As for the rest, enjoy. :naughty:
  10.
Originally posted by Circéus Japanese sets have two-letters codes. Wanna have them too?
No thanks. You answered my question. Thanks for the help. :twitch:
  11. Umm, does anyone know what all of the three-letter abbreviations for the card sets are? Here are the ones I know: LOB=Legend of Blue Eyes PSV=Pharoh's Servent
  12.
Originally posted by Domon Tell me about it. I played on normal and i think hard mode with Maxter but i couldn't beat BZ! He is so hard!! I mean honestly i don't know who could beat that SOB wih maxter.
I remember only one thing that was of any use in that fight. Maxter's "Burning Punch" is an excellent defence against the missiles that the BZ fires. Thus saving about 1/3 of your health. Truth be told, I cheated to unlock everything in the game. Thanks to Gameshark. Right now I am occasionally going back and fighting the street modes for real.
  13. I just found out a new reason to hate the Big Zam. In Street Mode you have to face the BZ if you are playing Gundam Maxter. Who in the **** thought of that?!? Putting a close combat MS up against a MA that can damage you just by walking is just asking for trouble. Even on the easy setting I had to play about 7+ times just to win (with the near-wins driving me mad).
  14. *Begins to pull chunks of hair from his head.* AAAAAHHHHHH! How could the replace Inu Yasha with Reign? Inu Yasha was so much better. Reign is boring in my opinion. They spend more time talking and less time fighting then they should. To top it off the artwork is not that impressive and the talk about the "Plato-hedron" is already getting annoying. The only good part is that they do not hold back on the blood and gore. *Reaches over and grabs a small monkey and a hammer.* "Bring back Inu Yasha or the monkey gets it." Okay, I think I am done for now. As you can tell, I dislike Reign and only watch it because Lupin III is on after it.
  15. Has anyone else ever played this awesome game? I think GBA2 is an amazing game. The gundam designs kick @** because of the look that they were taken straight from the animated cells, and the moving, multi-layered backrgound are the best (especially the destroyed colony background). GBA2 Favorites Favorite MS: Guin Mantha. Not only is it huge, but those funnels are cool. Favorite single attack: Bolt Gundam's Graviton Hammer. Nothing like a weapon that can hit once then swing around for a second strike (if performed right). Favorite combo attack: Guin Mantha --> Grab & Toss + Special attack (can drain upto 1/3 of an enemies health). Favorite special attack: Gundam Heavyarms Custom (need I say more?) Favorite enemy to cuss at: Big Zam. Talk about the most annoying enemy ever. Missiles that drain 1/3 of your health, and legs that can kill you just by walking.
  16. Now that is the type of cold-hearted, sick humor that I love. I need to find the link to a site that has a Shockwave Flash file making fun of the Taliban, and sung to the tune of the Banana Boat Song (IIRC).
  17.
Originally posted by James Really, Turok: Evolution is a pretty bad game. I never thought the Turok games were great...they always suffered from some major design problems. I don't think that any of them were worthy of a score of over 75%.
I like the line of Turok games. Unfortunately I have only played four types. Turok: Battle of the Bionosaures (GB), Turok: Rage Wars (N64), Turok 3 (N64) and Turok: Evolution (PS2). Out of those four Turok 3 was the best. Rage Wars was downright awful, because of the AI. It spent most of its time running around and would always manage to get behind you and hit you with the strongest weapon. Turok three was interesting because it seemed to step away from the traditional Lost Land theme and took you into cities with a the robotic law enforcement, and even had some original enemies (like the city boss spawned from the vortex) and a background story that looked like it was ready for the next game (but never made it to another on IIRC).
Originally posted by S@bretooth It might occur if you disabled your cookies, if you didn't then there may be something wrong with you cookies, they keep you logged on to the website. That's all i can think of
I have it set up to accept cookies (except for automatic log-ins since I delete the cookies anyway). As for them being messed up, they should not be. I go to about four different forums and this is the only one I have trouble with. Maybe it just does not like me.
  19. Okay, I normally like Turok games. They have great levels, cool enemies and kick-***** weapons. That is why I am surprised that I hated Turok: Evolution. The effects, weapons and enemies were amazing, but all of that was ruined by the lousy gameplay. I especially hated the flying missions, since there was little space to move and every time a clip scene came on it was always at the worst time (like when I need to fly up to avoid hitting something). At the very least the great weapons helped shadow those problems. The best of them was the Gravity Distruptor. Nothing was more fun then picking up and enemy and dropping them into the abyss in the suspended city. :demon:
  20. Has anyone else had trouble with keeping logged into the board? For some reason the board will log my name out and I will have to log in before typing a new post. This is driving me crazy.
  21.
Originally posted by Enishi Well, I read NewType, not Anime Invasion :P
I only read Anime Invasion and Animerica, because those are the only two that my local comic shop carries.
  22. I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on the the debate of Subbed vs Dubbed. Personally, I prefer dubbed anime most of the time. The problem I have with subbed anime is that I tend to miss the action while reading the words, or I have to rewind just to read a sentance that went by too fast. I do have some problems with dubbed anime too. Such as the fact that some phrases are changed to make them more TV friendly (i.e. in Gundam Wing, Heero says "Destroy" instead of "Kill"), and the action scenes tend to suffer when the blood it taken out (Like in GW and Outlaw Star).
  23.
Originally posted by Syk3 Hmm, those are kind of tough to answer, as it involves background knowledge of producers and such. I can't name the first one, but here goes for the other two. 2. Is one of the answers Yokko Kanno? 3. False (if that last one is right, lol)
Well, I think the questions were a bit too tough (or no one else reads Anime Invasion). Sky3 had the second answer right. Since no one else seems to know I will just post the answers. 1. Edward was designed after Yoko Kanno. 2. The band is named "Seat Belts" and was created by Yoko Kanno. 3. True. The band was created by Yoko Kanno just to play the music heard in CB.

Anyone else enjoy watching this show? I am surprised that I like it, since I tend to stick with anime and Sci Fi shows. :freak:
  25.
Originally posted by Stitch i have one thing to say...... if math teachers are soooo smart as they say they are why do they need to look up all the answers in a little answer book?? hmm?? i wonder..... stitch
Two reason (that I can think of): 1) Not everything they are teaching was taught to them. 2) You spend as much time as they do away from school and you will forget things too.
