Name: Blake Hyobanshi Codename: Easy Gender: Male Age: 18 Description: see attachment Personality: Suave and laid-back, he's your typical guy, easy-going and relaxed. His view on the world is indifferent and apathetic, and he brushes off his problems. One who can usually find his laughs anywhere, some may think he's not suited to the profession of an assassin. However, those who have worked with him or hired him before know that no target escapes his veiled sight. His emotions are completely his own, and he can show whichever facet he wishes to at any time. History: An orphan picked up off the streets at age 5, he was passed through countless foster homes who couldn't deal with his violent and angry temperament. Finally, he ran away at age 11, living by himself again off the streets, getting in numerous fights (we won't say how many died), and surviving on his own. Surprisingly, he seemed to be fine, able to take out his uncontrollable anger. By the age of 14 he was already making a name for himself in the underworld, and began to be able to live comfortably through his violent means. Blake also got his anger and emotions under control, receding into his easy-going manner that he's known as today. He forced himself to attend school and receive an education, and took several classes in cooking, until he was hired at a popular sushi bar known as the "Speakeasy." In his free time, he likes to hang out at a certain kendo dojo under the tutelage of Zeos Uchiyama. He has already graduated from high school, but sees many high school students anyway, because the Speakeasy is quite near that area, and many students choose to lunch there. Profession: Assistant chef at a well-known and popular sushi bar, the Speakeasy. Skills: Extremely flexible, he makes no noise when he moves, and seems to have the silent grace of a dangerous feline. Not specializing in any clear form of martial arts, Blake seems to have made his own interpretation of all of them, combining and forming them into an undecipherable and intricate form, which is also unreadable and almost impossible to evade. Anything that comes to hand can become a lethal weapon under his skillful use. Blake is entirely original and independent of anything. Specialty: He enjoys sniping, and loves making and using molatov cocktails, although he doesn't get to use them that often, as they attract far too much attention. Flies with me 'hevn.
2. What exactly is a yeast infection? All I've heard is that they're painful, but then again, what isn't? Everything there seems to be painful. Oh, and how do you get a yeast infection? Why is it called a yeast infection? Period story? CHW, my experience is like yours. Mine started at school, and bled through my pants. Little did I know, but the stain was there from lunch and on. It was not the most pleasant experience. And toilet paper sticks after a while, and is friggin hard to get off. Oh, and for those of you who use pads, don't they get annoying after a while? I mean, it feels so...icky. At least a tampon takes that feeling away.
3. OOC: Holy cow, that was a ton of stuff. But whee, I have returned at last. Awesome fight I must say. IC: She was alone. Again. Is this always going to happen to me? Her nose was still sore, but was fine. Himeko hadn't gone to school for the past two days, staying in her apartment alone, keeping her profile low. The last thing she needed to do was to get involved in a rumble or two. And she was glad she had stayed home - she had heard how bad the fighting had been at school between the Twisted Zens and the Black Moons. Some members had been hospitalized. And one name stood out to her, one name that she never thought she would hear again. The Black Hidari. She couldn't speak his name. She had tried to erase him from her memory. But at night, the memories of him kept coming back to haunt her. Just like his name, the Black Hidari. Himeko shook her head, wiping away the tear that slipped down her cheek. Not the time, Himeko. You're Hideo right now, remember? Getting up, she bound her chest, putting on some casual boy's clothing. Isaac was in the hospital, or so she had heard. But that part had been kind of scrambled, something about a girl...? She didn't know. But the least she could do was visit. Walking in through the door, the first thing she saw was Imi on the bed, with Zeos next to her. Himeko's jaw dropped in shock - there was a girl! "What the hell?" she cried out, surprised. "You're the - you're the girl I saw in the field! Where the heck is Isaac then?"

Rana followed Miyabi silently, her thoughts still on the Head Chairman and Deja Vu. Entering the room, she didn't see the students, her eyes unseeing as her thoughts scattered. The sound of Miyabi's chair scraping on the floor broke Rana out of her reverie, and she found herself looking at familiar faces, two in particular. They sat on opposite sides of the room, one draped languidly over a chair, his feet up on a desk. The other was staring moodily out the window, silver hair reflecting in the sunlight. Zeos Uchiyama and Sosuke Yu... Why am I not surprised? A member of both of their clubs, Rana was all too aware of their fierce rivalry. But today..it was giving her a headache. "Take it away, Orange," Miyabi said. "Right," Rana replied with a quiet sigh. "Sosuke, feet off the desk please. I will now take roll, so please pay attention and confirm." She read off the list of names, which were few in number, not exceeding five. She turned to Miyabi, "Do you think I could speak to Yu and Uchiyama outside for a minute?" Miyabi nodded after a moment, and gestured to the two, who followed Rana out the door. She closed it with a snap, and turned on the two fiercely, "What did you two do now? You have to start this off again already? And Zeos, I thought I already spoke to you earlier today, but obviously my words fell on deaf ears. What is wrong with you two??" Obviously her irritation was getting to her, not to mention that her part on the Graveyard Shift that day was not the most pleasant experience. She waited for their answer.
5. OOC: Ok, totally a spam post and all, but sorry, I'll delete lataz. I'm going to be gone for the weekend, until Monday. Keep me alive til then. Thanks.
6. The wind whispered, and she held out a hand, playing through it like the waves of an ocean. "Oh? Another who knows the tongue of elements... Whom has the good reverend deemed to pick up this time?" Lian smiled again, hearing the tone the air picked up as the gifts were called upon. "Hmm...so you tell me beautiful, young, and now skilled as well. I can't wait to meet her - she's already cooler than Grimoire." At the mention of Dimitri, the 'Lucky Dragon' seemed to itch in her hand. She tightened her grip lightly, chiding in manner. "No no, don't do that. It was entirely my mistake then; I was too careless, and perhaps too eager. Don't put the blame where it doesn't belong," Lian reprimanded gently. But she stood still now, not following the wind's path to Dimitri and the new stranger. After all, the stranger had told her that Dimitri would be brought to her.

15 minutes, and she would have to be back. She watched as another line of students was led away. It would continue for two more hours, until the lunch break. And then the Graveyard Shift would be over, for the day. But tomorrow she would return. And in the evenings, there would be pickup, either of survivors, or...leftovers. Suddenly, she felt electricity buzzing in the air, making the hair on her arm rise. Looking up at one of the classroom windows, she saw the lights go out, accompanied with the sound of shattering glass. She could hear Zeos's voice as well. Damn...this is not what I was planning on doing while on my break. The cursing continued silently, as Rana ran up the levels to reach the classroom where the Elementals Club usually took their practices. Zeos's angry roars were quite audible even from where she stood. She glanced at her watch: 12 minutes. Opening the door, she saw members of the Elementals Club gathered around their sobbing leader, unsure of what to do. Her gaze narrowed, and she shut the door behind her, "Zeos, that's enough." The others turned to look at her, and she motioned for them to leave. They quickly left, scampering out under her hard eyes. Zeos continued to sob, but it quieted, replaced by a hard light of bitterness and loss in his eyes. However, he still managed to acknowledge her, however angry he felt. "Orange." She walked over to him, crossing her arms, "First off, you don't know they're dead yet. We'll find out in the evening. Why are you acting like this? I expected better of you." He let out a bitter laugh, and more angry tears came. Not many, but a few. "Why? Why am I acting like this? You know as well as I do!" "Are you a club leader or not? Stop crying and act like it then!" Her sharp reply cut through the air. He didn't answer her, too angry to speak. She sighed, and then knelt down in front of him, "Zeos, there are people who look up to you as a guide. And as the older students, we have that responsibility. Losing control of your emotions is not a choice - not in public like this. What does it say to them if you are already losing hope?" "Tell me then Orange, are they alive? Are they still alive? Will they survive?" His voice was low, dangerous, and angry. Something waiting to strike. Rana stood, "I won't promise anything. You know that I don't make promises I can't keep. I can't promise that they'll survive - they might just as well die. But it doesn't help them when you count them already among the dead. Don't lose hope so easily." She left to go, but stopped in the doorway, "If you want to help them, you should stop crying, and pray for them instead." Rana left, passing Imi on the way down. Another friend of hers, who was going to go comfort Zeos as well. Perhaps they'll find it...maybe they'll be able to comfort each other. She breathed deeply as she returned to her post. Her watch said that the next line of students would arrive in two minutes. Her comfort? Why didn't she break down as well? "Don't stop moving. Don't give yourself a moment to think about it. Keep your heart in a different place than your head, so that one will hide the knowledge from the other." They had been Miyabi's words to her, when Orange had told her that she had the Graveyard Shift. And Orange was thankful.

She waited, the scent of green tea still lingering softly in the air. She heard the bell, the silence as students quieted for the roll call, and then... A small, barely heard sound, elusive as it tried to escape her ears. It was the small intake of breath, the heaviness of sorrow and weighed guilt in the air. It was the sound of a few chairs scraping in various classrooms, the silent goodbyes, the unsure thoughts, the tremble of hands that opened and closed their final doors. The students whose names had been called made their way to the front of the building, and down the steps. A figure waited. She watched now, as the chosen few came nearer, crossing different thresholds, physical and mental, both of the past and present. But when they got to her, they were at the here and now. She gave a brief smile, "Hello, my name is Rana Enver, but for this trip you may have the privelege of calling me 'Orange.'" She got a few smiles in return, and immediately felt regret weigh upon her heart. Orange gestured, taking out a list, "I will now call role, to confirm your presence in this exam. Please acknowledge when your name is called." She proceeded to read off the list, checking off each name, meeting every eye. Each face seemed to engrain itself into her memory. Soon, she knew, she would be reading their names off their headstones, and off the eulogies. "Thank you, now please arrange yourselves in a line. I will escort you to the testing area of the front gardens - however, the last 100 feet will be made on your own. I'd like to say that you may have all the time you need at this moment to prepare yourselves, but as our school has no tolerance for tardiness, their policies will be followed. Please, follow me." She turned, and led the way, knowing that many of the students would be looking at the windows of the buildings, perhaps for last glimpses of an old life. She didn't want to see it. They arrived at the outer perimeter of the front gardens, and Rana stopped, and turned. Another smile. "This is where I leave you. Please continue to follow the path. You will be met further on." The students filed past her, until somewhere near the end of the line. "Orange?" a timid voice asked. She nodded at the girl who had stopped, "Yes?" The girl didn't say anything, just looking down with frightened eyes. Rana bit her lip, and then took out the snack that she had picked up this morning. "Here, take this." She put the bag into the girl's hand, and forced her to look up. "Just 100 feet. Count them. You can make it there." Slowly, the girl nodded, and then walked on, and the rest of the line continued as well. As the last of them disappeared, Rana sighed. Miyabi had called this the graveyard shift, when she had first found out. How horribly ironic. Rana made her way back to the classrooms.
9. OOC: Holy cow, wait up for me! IC: Dots, You're late. Pick up. ~Vahnhels Dropping the note on the empty table, Lian smiled, and went to close the window that was still opened to the cool night air. The curtains brushed her hands, and sent her deep crimson robes fluttering. He was a quick one, that Vahnhels, and she had tried to catch him once or twice too. And Vahnhels, being the fickle bastard he was, had made Lian's pseudonym: Dots. Daughter of the sun. What a way to remind her of her past. Her freedom. Her captivity. Her fetters. She had to admit though, he was clever. Probably would be quite an interesting partner, but no, fate had chosen Dimitri Gravier to catch her, instead of this Vahnhels. "Ah well, can't be helped, and there's no use complaining over it." She picked up her 'Lucky Dragon,' smiling again as she felt its warmth under her hand, like an old friend greeting her. Walking out of the silent, empty room, she didn't bother to lock it behind her. Eventually, she made her way down to the street, leaving the Sakura Falls Apartments as she became surrounded by the bright lights of the city night life. Even in these streets, sidewalks filled with people both sober and drunk, with vendors and cloying aromas, the air breathed life. Wind reached her, dancing with her robes once more, playing through her hair with outstretched fingers. 'Lucky Dragon' she held close, the warmth familiar. Lian whispered to the breeze which flowed over her features, "..Find me..a reverend." And the wind...whispered back. Dimitri, concentrated on the shadows as he was, barely noticed the breeze that played at his ear. But Lala did.
10. OOC: Holy cow, I really am running around like a deer/rabbit. IC: Watching as Imi ran off to her house, Himeko felt extremely confused. ..So..Imi and Isaac aren't related? Ack! I've never seen two people look so alike before, especially when they don't even know each other. She smacked herself in the head. If I'm not careful, I'm going to become too much of a guy. No pretend-flirting! Still feeling confused, Himeko started heading back to the school, wondering if she should search out Isaac and ask him if he had a sister, or maybe knew someone that looked alot like his female double. She shook her head, running her hand through her short hair. She stopped, shocked at its unfamiliar length, and then remembered that she had cut it again. Remember? You're Hideo! It immediately reminded her of the reason she was even disguised as a boy - the kendo and archery teams. Oh damn, I better get some practice in. But suddenly, music seemed to reach her ears. Someone was singing... "Who..is that?" she asked under her breath. Following the sound, she found that she was back on the stairwell to the roof, listening silently to the singing. Realizing that it was a private moment, she turned to leave, but her jacket caught on the door handle, twisting the knob, and the wind threw the door open with a loud slam. Elliot turned, surprised, and saw Hideo running his hand through his hair awkwardly. "Ack! Sorry - sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt! Uh, gotta run!" Himeko stammered out, and then took off again, scampering away. Elliot again pursued, but then stopped, and made his way to the roof again. He watched as the kid ran out of the building, and then crossed the grounds to the gymnasium. "The gym, eh? Caught you this time, kid." Himeko, meanwhile, ran quickly to the gym, letting out a sigh of relief as she closed the door behind her. But she was alert at that instant - she was not alone. Rubbing her eyes, she made sure she wasn't seeing things. It looked like someone had just stepped out of a midieval story, and was looking at the wooden practice swords. "Who are you?" she blurted out, before she could stop herself. Lock turned around, his eyes narrowed as he saw the new student in the gym. OOC: I believe that there should be two others in the gym at this time too, right? *cough* Imi and Koji *cough*;)
11. Ok, first off, with guys posting in this...I'm kinda disturbed, but hey, moving on.
I learned to use tampons from the instructions in the box.
Where are the instructions? Seriously, I was looking on some boxes, and I can't find any. Thus, my extreme difficulty on learning how to use one. How'd I learn? Several odd trials...and one was painful. When I finally learned correctly, it was at church in the bathrooms, listening to one of my friends explain it to me, and even then it was pretty freakin hard. Not to mention, I was terrified. Some of my friends told me that you could lose your virginity by pushing in a tampon in too much, and that completely scared the crap out of me. Especially since I've heard that losing your virginity hurts, and you bleed. Which wouldn't help my situation if I'm trying to use a tampon in the first place.-_-
The other one was public school and they handed out condoms. Go figure.
They actually handed out condoms to you? I'm amazed. Actually, I didn't even know that they did that at prom either, until this year. Oh, and does anyone have weird stories about periods? I mean, frankly I think I'm lucky that I actually knew what they were before I had one. Seriously, you have to feel sorry for some people. Take my mom, for instance. I guess in Korea they're really not into talking about that stuff and all...so she didn't get it explained to her. In fact, the first time she had a period, she thought she was dying, and ran out into the street screaming. Then her mom explained it to her. Ah, and when she tried using tampons, she had to go to the hospital because it got stuck in wrong or something... Which makes me wonder...maybe my own confusion with them is passed to me through my mom.;)
12. Alright, as if the title doesn't already tell you enough, I really doubt that guys will find anything of minute interest here. Actually, it might make them queasy.:) So now to business girls. Anyway, I'm just wondering when and how you were first introduced to the subject of sex. Not only that, but how in the world did you figure out how to use a tampon?(if you use them, that is). And did your parents talk to you about periods? What did you think of your first one? Alright, hopefully all of this isn't getting too personal...but it just made me wonder sometimes, especially about the tampon thing. Hm..I'm guessing that with sexual education most of us watched a video? Where they then proceeded to hand out boxes of pads? Ugh..shudder. Not that I understood really what that was in the sixth grade anyway - I was quite naive. Alright, maybe the tampon question is a bit odd for some of you. I mean, how possibly could someone not know how to use one, right? But seriously, it's not like they have directions on the boxes!! I didn't know how to use one until...this year recently, and I'm 16 and going to be a senior in the fall. And I must tell you though, learning about those things was painful, seriously. Sure, maybe I'm an idiot, but how exactly are you supposed to know these things? Periods - my mom tried to talk to me about it after my friends had told me all the details, like...7th grade? Friends can really open your eyes, eh?;) But no, I learned about periods when I was in the third grade, because while visiting Korea I found some of my aunt's pads, and I asked if they were diapers. Then she talked to me about the whole catching eggs and stuff that falls out every month...but hey, I was ickle. So yeah, anyone else that would post to keep me company here is quite welcome. Please!
13. Hi Imi!! Way nice pics there! :D Imric: I really love the expression on his face - so...devilishly stunning. ;) Not to mention, as jacobian said, the staff is pretty sweet stuff. The only problem I have with it is his left arm... Something seems a bit...off? I dunno. Still, it's a cool pic, and way better than anything I could do. I'm so jealous! You can draw hands!! Razor: Heehee, this picture makes me want to giggle. You're stylin there :p Tomonori: Okay, I really loved the style of the letters and stuff, and I liked the overall picture. I thought you did really well on the little details like the wrinkles and shading. 'Repent' is awesome. :) Although, what happened to the lower part of his right hand? Did his fingers disappear?
14. Himeko couldn't stand it - she had to figure out who the heck this person was! She stepped out, raising her voice, "Hey! Who are you?" Her eyes narrowed, she watched as the Isaac look-alike turned. Imi was absolutely shocked, and quickly tried to think of something, "Um - I - I mean - my name is Imi!" "Imi, did you say?" Imi nodded vigorously, praying that Hideko wouldn't recognize her. Himeko rubbed her head, "..Do you, by any chance, have a brother or something? I mean, you look alot like someone I met at school today..." Suddenly, she realized that the girl still had tears on her cheeks. "Oh, I'm sorry, are you alright? I mean, I didn't mean to intrude or anything..." Crap, am I being too nice again? Wait, no, guys are supposed to be nice to crying girls. Ok, I'm ok.
15. It's a good thing you don't have barbies anymore - that's actually kind of disturbing...-_- As for my brothers, thankfully they still think girls have cooties, and I don't have to worry about them picking up chicks. Ah, did I mention that I'd probably torture them if they ever said something like that? And I extracted vows from them that they wouldn't get hooked up until after high school. Problem solved. :D
16. Watch The In-Crowd. Corny horror film that will chase away all these bothersome thoughts about social acceptance. Wow lava lamp, do I sense a mild overdose of ego? ;)
17.
Ludwig Kakumei My final venture into weirdness, if you thought the last two were strange wait till you hear this one, essential it is an EXTREMELY loose adaptation of classic fairy tale such as Snow White and Sleeping beauty, with the "prince" of each story being replace by the main character: a effeminate narcissist prince who is a tad bit pyschotic and enjoy killing off the 'damsel in distress'.
I have to completely agree! I've read some of Ludwig, and it has such dark, subtle humor that can be extremely uncomfortable. Still, you can't help but love it once you read it. If it was animated, it would be amazing. Although...not good viewing for some of tender age...

X/1999

You know, although X/1999 is pretty impressive, I have to say that it's not exactly one of my favorites. I mean, I love the art and storyline, and CLAMP's work is always pretty amazing. However...there are just so many characters! And after a while things get confusing, especially when you haven't read each book as carefully as you should have... -_-;; Not to mention, it's quite utterly depressing. Hey, I go for those stories, but after a while, I think I got bored. But it's still amazing. :)
19. Name: Lian (Kumiko) Youjima Age: 18 Gender: Female Group: Lord Youjima Rank in group: Loyal servitor and "concubine" Fighting style: Mixed with various influences of mojutsu and genjutsu, Lian concentrates her technique with the smooth, flowing styles of wushu, along with a bit of knowledge of aikido. Rather than utilizing brute force and abrupt movements, wushu techniques are graceful and precise. Lian also incorporates stunning aerial and tumbling techniques, and an array of traditional weapons when they're at hand. Weapons: 'Lucky Dragon' - (shown in attachment) a large, dragon-headed staff which is as hard as diamonds, one blow can crush a man's skull. However, the staff conceals an ancient blade that covers half the staff's length. The sheath, shown in her hands, is also used during combat. Abilities: Like a human lie detector, Lian is able to distinguish truth from falsehood - you cannot deceive her. With heightened senses from her training, she also is knowledgeable in sensitive parts of the body, and uses that to gain a greater advantage in combat. Description: see attachment - credit to artist Personality: Calm and quiet, Lian exudes a quiet aura of confidence that never shows a trace of doubt. She does not complain, instead accepting whatever fate hands her way. Also a compassionate individual, she is able to relate fully with Lord Youjima, because of their similarities in duty to their families. Although still young, she is determined and firm, willing to accept death instead of failure. Lian does not enjoy killing, but again, accepts it as a necessity at times. Her name, meaning "daughter of the sun," expresses her hidden will of consuming fire and flame. Bio: Born in China to a poor governor and his wife, Lian was the first child and a daughter. Luckily, her father was a wise man, and deemed to have her educated and trained, knowing that he could not protect her from the harshness of life. Her mother taught her to appreciate every small thing in life, and to pick out the details that made the world all the more beautiful. Lian also trained under a few wushu masters who would now and then pass through the village, and caught on quickly with skill and finesse. When she turned 13, Lord Youjima and his family passed through her village, and Lian's family, having three other children to support, sold her off as a concubine. However, Lian is not bitter about this at all - she knew that her family would rather keep her, and that it was her duty as a daughter. She returned to Japan with Lord Youjima, who was in his mid-twenties at the time. Fearing a brutal life, Lian was utterly surprised and grateful at finding that Lord Youjima was a kind individual, who looked to her not as a wife or concubine, but as a sibling. Indeed, with time Lian saw Lord Youjima much like an older brother, and their "marriage" remained in name only, never being consummated. For a few years, she was seen with him constantly, earning her the petname of Kumiko, or "companion child." She has continued her training with help from Lord Youjima, who ordered various instructors to teach her further in various arts, and now she has become a useful tool. Lian, under orders from the Youjima family, is now hunting for the infamous Izayuai, to cement their family's power.
20. "S-s-sorry! I mean, you shouldn't have opened the damn door so fast!" Himeko stammered, blushing a little. Her hands got a little sweaty in nervousment. Ack, god, you idiot, why are you acting so much like a girl??? Knock it off! "Um, I'll let you off easy this time, but you better watch out where you're going!" Before Elliot could say a word, she started running down the steps like a scared rabbit. "Hey! Wait!" he called behind her. Turning back quickly, she yelled over her shoulder, "By the way, thanks for breaking my fall!" Then she proceeded to speed up more in her escape. Trying to run after her, Elliot at last couldn't keep up. He shook his head, swearing to himself, "Damn, that Hideko is one quick little freak." Himeko, on the other hand, was extrememly relieved when she saw that Elliot was no longer on her tail. Breathing out a sigh of relief, she tried to catch her breath as she started walking across a field. Suddenly, she heard a noise, and instinctively hid behind a tree. Someone was talking to themselves...and crying! Himeko walked out to see who it was, and if she could try to help. She stopped. Who is that? Poor girl is crying..probably about some stupid crush. Hey...wait a second... Isn't that...Isaac? But - wait - what the heck? OOC: Mwa ha ha, hey Imi, not quite the 'boy' you were looking for, eh? ;) Ah, fun stuff. By the way Quinn, nice fall. :smirk:

Usually casual and laid-back, she has a little bit of an arrogant nature, and always requires someone's best effort. A quick way to make her angry is to hold back on her - on anything. Rana can have a sharp tongue in groups, but approach her alone or personally and she will have an entirely different demeanor, helpful and encouraging. There are many facets to her personality, and she can hide or show several at any given time. Clever and intelligent, Rana is patient and willing to bide her time. She's quite an individual to keep your eye on. Not only this, but she's blunt in voicing her opinion, and is not afraid to reveal the truth - a fearless individual. Rana gained the nickname of "Orange" not only because that is (obviously) her favorite color, but also because of her tangy, spiced nature, sometimes bitter and acidic, but also sweet at the same time. Height/Weight: 5'5"/112 lb Appearance: see attachment - often wears anything orange, just for kicks. Relationships: Close and yet distant with everyone, Rana only develops minor friendships which never really seem to bloom into real bonds. However, this is all Rana needs to fulfill any social desires, and she doesn't really pursue it further. She knows almost any student's name, and has a knack for remembering their pursuits and interests, as well as events in their lives. Thus, she hits it off rather well with everyone, but gains the most admiration from new students. Her only "close friendships" are more of love/hate relationships with the other club leaders, especially with Sosuke Yu, whom Rana runs into constantly, much to her chagrine, (or is it something else?). ;) Biography: Brought into the Academy at the age of 9, Rana had a troubled past and childhood, much of which she represses. Her father died early on, leaving Rana with only extremely vague memories of him. Her mother, on the other hand, she remembers with bitterness and hatred. Left at the hard whims of her mother, Rana was abused and starved, and then was forced around to various male 'friends' of her mother's. She was subject to years of sexual abuse and molestation, including various times where she was raped. Finally, just past her ninth birthday, she was picked off the streets much like an urchin, and taken to the Academy. Rana is completely unaware and uncaring of the fate of her mother, and she continues to repress and hide her past from herself and others. At the Academy, however, she bloomed under the tutelage of various teachers, picking up skills with ease and finesse. For a few years she was kind of afraid of boys, but that changed when one tried to put a hand in the wrong place, and Rana proceeded to beat him so badly he had to be taken to the hospital in critical condition. Since then, she has lost any fears or doubts of herself. Soon after that, she met the other future club leaders, and they've known each other since then, not only helping other new students, but also going through the loss of the recent deaths due to the testing. Rana is determined not to join the deceased students' fate. Recently busy with taking care of the cemetery, she is often seen at the foot of graves, cleaning off the stones or laying fresh flowers. Rana is a common site at the cemetery, having visited there many times for no known reasons. She also plays cello, and can be heard throughout the grounds if she chooses. Being so skilled with the instrument, Rana has learned how to mold her magic around her music, and vice versa, and also has implemented that into her combat techniques.
22. Name: Lian Iwasaki Age: 18 Gender: Female Species: Human: Hunter - West Height: 5'6 Weight: 112 lb. Description: see attachment - credit to artist Weaponry: 'Lucky Dragon' - (shown in attachment) a large, dragon-headed staff which is as hard as diamonds, one blow can crush a man's skull. However, the staff conceals an ancient blade that covers half the staff's length. The sheath, shown in her hands, is also used in during combat. The staff, having originated from the Northen Hunters, was stolen by Lian during an early encounter with them. The 'Lucky Dragon' harbors a daemon which not only protects Lian, but also aids her in combat. Gifts: Element Air - control of the element of air; usually her more powerful manifestations take on the brief form of misty dragons that flow through the skies. Echo - when Lian draws her 'Lucky Dragon' sword, each blow or movement can send off a sort of 'echo,' in which not only direct contact with the blade does damage, but also the trail of the force of the blade. Thus, even if she doesn't hit you directly, the motion of the blade can still penetrate skin and flesh, depending on the force of her swing. Lucky Token - the most powerful of Lian's gifts, this is the invocation of the physical form of the dragon which inhabits her 'Lucky Dragon' sword, resulting in the powerful manifestation of the fiery dragon in combat, ready to decimate her opponents. Bio: Lian, meaning "daughter of the sun," surely lives up to her bright and commanding name. Born and raised in a temple of Tibet, her gift to control the element of air was quickly discovered, and she began training almost from birth. She quickly mastered the tricky skill of calling on the air, and started to become interested in things of other natures. Curious and clever by nature, her curiosity got the better of her, and Lian was expelled from the temple and the Eastern Hunters because she attempted to gain control of another element - fire. Thus, already a rogue Hunter at the age of 12, she continued to follow her clever ways, often targeting and tricking her enemies into mistakes. The Eastern Hunters chose to ignore her, much to their chagrine later on. Lian then targeted the skills of the Northern Hunters, running into them often enough that she was able to steal a precious staff/sword, which she dubbed the 'Lucky Dragon.' It harbored the spiritual manifestation of a daemon, which afterwards accepted her as its master. Lian's next target was the fabled Southern Hunters, and she disguised herself to learn and steal their secrets to be able to summon the mythical beasts of the past. This, she instilled into her 'Lucky Dragon,' and now the daemon was able to come into physical form when called upon. Due to all of Lian's meddling and illegal acquisition of other gifts and talents, she is not only hated and irritating to the other Hunter groups, but wanted by many to punish and possess. However, her last trial turned into her fatal mistake. Lian, wanting to steal the secret of binding a daemon into her flesh, attempted to infiltrate the Western Hunters, in her goal to become a Daemonhost. However, she was caught in her attempt by the reverend Dimitri Gravier, who gave her a choice of her fate: join him, or be released to the other Hunter groups. Knowing that the latter would probably prove to be fatal to her, she agreed to join him, also being curious of the strange, infamous man. Thus, she is one of the few female members of the Danse Macabre, only loosely connected with the Western Hunters because of her commitment of fealty to Dimitri Gravier. I hope this is ok...
23. As Koji disappeared from view, the classroom door opened, and Himeko peeked out her head. As soon as she saw 'Isaac,' she smiled, and walked out, shutting the door behind her. "Hey, are you alright? You look kind of...flustered," she said, looking at him quizzically. "Huh? Yes, I'm fine. Just...ack, nothing." Isaac breathed out a deep sigh, and then brushed his hair back. Himeko shrugged, "Well, alright then. But anyway, Mr. Matunu let me out a bit early, since you have to show me around. And I think he forgot that you're still out here in the hall..." Suddenly, the bell rang, and the rush of students filled the corridors. She tapped Isaac on the shoulder, "I have to get to the gymnasium. What's the quickest way there?" "Gymnasium? Why the hell are you going there?" She smiled, but reminded herself not to look too sweet, "I have kendo and archery."
24. OOC: Eek, sorry Imi... :( I shall thus obey every OOC command which comes my way much more carefully. Oh, and this is a coed school? :smirk: IC: Himeko could only bite her lip as the boy named Isaac was shut out in the hall by the teacher. Obviously this was not his best day... She wondered what had made him so desperate to leave in the first place, and then come back more than 10 minutes late. But she had to admit, Isaac's reply to Mr. Matunu had been pretty impressive. She turned to Zeos, "Is he going to be ok?" "Oh, who, Isaac? Don't worry about him - he does this almost everyday... Although, for a while there, he was kind of laid off of Matunu." She raised an eyebrow, "You mean he runs to the bathroom everyday too?" Zeos shrugged, "Ah, well, that's a new development." "Right..."
25. She was early. Hardly anyone was in the halls, and the quiet rang in her ears. Walking quite comfortably, Himeko made her way past the various classrooms, spotting through the windows the sports fields and gymnasium. No doubt, the archery fields and targets would be around that area, as would be other equipment. But time enough for that later on in the day. Instead, Himeko made her way to the library, smiling for a moment at the familiar scent of books. She could spend hours in the library, when practice and study didn't steal her time away. It was even more quiet here, especially at this time in the morning. Quietly wandering through the rows of shelves, Himeko found herself completely immersed in the decision of which book to pick. "Oh..." she breathed, picking out an old, leathery volume. "It's kendo." An old historical text, she started to flip the pages. Suddenly she turned, instinct making her reflexively instill aggression into her movement - WHAM! She collided with a solid mass, and found herself looking up...waaay up. "Oh, gosh, sorry about that -" she stammered, hurriedly picking herself up. The student she had run into was tall - very tall, and it made her nervous. She found herself looking up and staring into narrowed eyes. One was a honey-brown color, and the other a clear blue. The student shrugged impatiently, rolling his eyes, "Just watch where you're going next time." He walked past, and she could hear him muttering to himself.. Himeko shook her head to clear it. Oh jeez, I should have been more careful! If I keep bumping into people, I'll just be asking for trouble, especially at a school as notorious as this. Checking around her for a second, Himeko mentally checked the binding around her chest, relieved that it was still perfectly in place. She let out a sigh of relief.
