Originally posted by Harry I said his reasoning was flawed because it is flawed. I say his flawed reason came from living in Mississippi. I don't know if you've ever been there or not but they still call black poeple Niggers there. The flag does represent Racism and the only people that argue about that are the ones that either made up their own meaning, or completely clueless to what it means.
ah, i get it now!! harry is the all knowing, without flaws, perfect in everyway! thats how he knows that his reasoning is flawed, right? sorry, harry, but i sure dont live in mississippi, and retards here still call black people the n word....and they wear the flag, but, for reasons unknown..... and what about what i said earlier, about that show?? did you read that? did they mean racism when they had that symbol?

all i can say is...wow.... please keep posting, but, try to get a little of the spelling right? i was really confused with what a "psychietrist" was...

well, in relative, people somtimes wear the confederate flag as a sign of rebelion. i am not to sure the show "dukes of hazard" meant the confederate flag painted on top of their car as a sign of racism
Originally posted by Queen Asuka You have no idea how much the two (emotional maturity and self esteem) are interelated. People who are emotionally mature generally view themselves in a positive way, accept their faults, love themselves, etc. Those who don't, tend to be the immature types who need people to stroke their ego and rely too much on what others say. If someone calls them out, they get upset.
well, i am not to sure of that... i know somone who has been taking care of their younger (5 of them) since they were 10. they only have one parent, and i think they are pretty mature (they are mellow when people argue with them, stuff like that) but, from what i get, they dont like themselves....they have really low self esteem so, that means they are immature?

weak in what way? i am not to sure i understand.... is it because we have alot of weak points in our bodies?
-
oh wow, i am so sorry about your accident.....i honestly hope you get much much better then the doctors say.... one time, it was raining, and my best friend was driving me to graduation practice. we were crossing a narrow bridge, when this mac truck came out of nowhere. he tried to stop and pull over, so the truck would have enought room to go thru, when he skidded, and we were heading strait towards the truck's wheels.....he skidded and hit the bridge railing. we bounced off of it hard( the railing was cement.) i honestly thought we were going to be crushed.....o.o
Originally posted by amibasuki ..... are very dependent on someone (like a boyfriend or girlfriend) to tell you they love you or else your esteem plummets
well, i think your emotional maturity is different from your self esteem..... your self esteem is how you view yourself, i dont think maturity plays much of a part in that, if at all.....

well, personally, i would never, ever touch alchohol.... i have seen people totally wasted. it was scary....they didnt act the way they normally did, it was like they were different people. they did many, many "things" that they might not have done so freely if they werent wasted (i think when we got back from my senior trip, some had huge problems that changed their lives that they had to deal with..) yeah, i agree that people probably get wasted to escape reality.....

hmm...i had a really strange dream.... i dreamed that everyday my dad would hug me and tell me that he loved me. one day, he didnt, and i didnt know why. i got angry, because i thought he was trying to distance himself from me, so, i used my "powers" (i knew what they were in the dream, but, when i woke up, all i could remember was that i had them) in the end, he said he "felt" my powers grow stronger, and wanted to see how much stronger they got before he wanted contact with me. if that isnt weird, i dont know what is.

hmm...i think animals do have emotion, just not somthing like bugs..... did you know cats, dogs, monkeys, and animals like that can expirience depression? it has been proven.... when my dog had puppies, she had a huge litter. it was her first litter, and she had 9 puppies...but, one was still born. she kept paying special attention to that one, trying to keep it warm and stuff, and when i tried to take it away, she started to cry (i never heard a dog cry, but, when i heard her, i knew thats what it was) it made me really upset, and i had to go inside. :( but, i do think that animals do have emotions..... what do you guys think?
-
actually, i was thinking about how amazing it is that we as humans can feel emotions....i mean, how exactly does that happen?
-
emme, i know exactly what you mean, when you say guys dont think with their heads.... it would be interesting to be a guy for a little while.....that would be some adventure! hmmm....already, i dont have alot in common with girls where i live (i am not into makeup, and guys, guys, guys! but, that doesnt mean i am the other way, though) do you think guys arent as sensitive as girls are? if i was a guy, and kept the way i am (cry when animals die, cry at sad movies like ET, get really upset, and cry when i hear about war) would i be considered a wimp?
-
isnt it cool that everyone in the world is so different, and yet we are still the same?

Writing Angry, Angry Man...(a fair few swears)
lea replied to Jesus Chicken's topic in Creative Works
wow...so much anger... personally, i think its really good ^_^ -
i just kinda figure that animals are mostly happy-go-lucky... not too many concerns for them (money, stupid presidents, afraid of being lonely for the rest of their lifes...stuff like that)
-
to whomever recommended the dragonlance series, you rock! i was only able to read the first two books, then the last one... it is really really good ^_^
-
anyone ever read cheaper by the dozen? i kinda relate to the book, because i have a huge family (but, not that huge. in the book, the people have 12 kids....my family only has 6) and the sequle....belles on their toes. i really like them ^_^
-
wow! thats cool you guys talk to each other offline.... >.- i dont think anyone lives near enough to me for that to happen....

hey now, when did this thread become about god? did you know scientists have studied the heart, and they found a healthy heart beat isnt steady? what i mean is the healthy heart doesnt beat regularly....and they found that when they put a heart beat into musical notes, they found it made a song (i thought that was really really cool!!) and they put an unhealthy heartbeat into musical notes, and it was a monotone song, because the heartbeats were more "regular"........... amazing, no? ^_^

hmmm... somtimes, i am afraid of my imagination (i have a very very active one, for being 18. i am almost as bad as a little kid!) i am afraid of being alone. and i am afraid of being unprotected....like, if i am walking down the street, and its dark, and some psycotic guy attacks me, and...some..stuff happends... well, i am afraid of the stuff that might happen. (blush) am i wrong to feel like that? i mean, no one talks about that kinda stuff.....

lol, Transtic Nerve made too much sense....took all the fun out by reasoning. if somone goes outside, most of the cats we have come from all over, to greet whomever came outside. when i go to the fish tank, all the fish come over to the corner where i am ^_^
-
drix, i would be the person you refered to as expiriencing the paradigm shift ^_^ i agree with drix, what he said about god. you cant say what god is thinking, or what god's reasons for doing things are. actually, it is advisable not to try to comprehend where god even came from, as it hurts your brain when you try (i think humans, as complex as they are, cant comprehend the whole entire idea of god.) understand what i mean?

i believe that. i have read articals in which bits of huge space debrise would be hurtling towards earth, and by the natural orbiting of the other planets, some other planet would block it.... coincidence?
