This time, it didn't actually happen to me, I think a movie brought this one on (Damn that devil box).

Definitely keep it up. You have a lot of talent and could go very far with it. I like this poem, even though I don't believe in religion and most of it's symbolism, this makes me want to try and look past all the hypocrits again.

OOC: Umm...I'll be gone next weekend too, and the weekend after that. So, don't expect much, unless it's during the week. Eshou ran downstairs the next morning and headed for the marketplace. There were always plenty of potential participants for her jokes there. She walked bpast the stalls, changing prices and moving merchandise when she ran into the girl from the inn. "Oh, hi. Sorry to have interrupted you. If you would like me to repay you in some way, I'd be happy to." She bowed slightly. Maybe etiquette is good for something...

Eshou yawned. There was no one to play pranks on in the forest, so she headed for the town. Maybe she'd even find someone willing to teach her. One thing she didn't understand was why no one would teach her. She headed for the inn, wanting to get a good night's rest and take a look at the guest list. "Excuse me, are there any rooms available?" The woman looked up at her. Ooooh, new person to play pranks on. Glad I came. "Yes, here the key." Eshou took the key and walked to her room. Passing one without a door and another were something was going on. I wonder what they're doing. I wonder if I could pull a prank on them. She opened the door to her room and laid down on the bed. Sighing contentedly, she fell into a light sleep.

Name: Eshou Krishna Race: human Age: 23 Class: wanderer Weapon: twin katanas made of silver and enchanted so that they never break and protect the bearer to a certain extent; five throwing knives Personality: Eshou is naive and prone to fits of anger, but other than that, she's a lot like Pritz. She also enjoys playing practical jokes and has an over-developed sense of right, wrong, and chivalry. See bio for why. Description: see attachment and ignore the wounds. Bio: Eshou was born into an slightly noble family. Her father was a knight and she admired him greatly. She has always been a tom-boy and often ran from he etiquette lessons to have pretend sword fights with her brothers. One day at a tournament, while watching a match of long sword on foot, she made the mistake of saying she would one day become a knight and compete in a great tourney. Her parents, both shocked, immeadiately took her home and repremanded(sp?) her. To this day, she doesn't understand their anger and surprise. Both her brother and all her cousins were training as squires, then why couldn't she? When she turned 15, she shocked her parents again by becoming the apprentice to a blacksmith. She stayed with him for three years, just long enough to learn enough to travel with a knight as his personal blacksmith and make herself a set of throwing knives and a broadsword. She travelled with this knight for another three years, learning all she could about fighting, until he lost his most of wealth betting on himself and dismissed all of his servants and companions. Before she left, he gave her the katanas, believing she would need the protection. She accepted them, thinking they were gifts for her good service. She began wandering, taking odd jobs at inns and taverns as a bartender and waitress. Tired of the disgusting characters she often met, Eshou went into the woods in hopes of meeting an elf who would train her, or a sorcer/ess who could teach her magic. Occasionally, she leaves and takes up odd jobs again, only to return to the woods again later. Umm...I changed her a bit, is that okay? Hope so, because I like this much better.

One problem. I'm going out of town this weekend and probably won't be able to post anywhere until Sunday afternoon or evening. I completely forgot about that.

I don't feel that I'm a snobbish elitist, just an incredibly intelligent and refined one, that's all. There's something wrong with that quiz, I feel I'm a very kind person most of the time.

Obscene words could be said here, but I'll refrain.

I don't mean to be rude, it's just my nature. I've taken your input into consideration, and I'll edit my poem later.

Well, garnet, the poem is about me, therefore I'll leave the I's, if you don't mind. Almost all my poems are in the first person. And it's not about lost love, it's about seeing the imperfections of yourself through another person.
-
I'm in desparate need. I know this poem needs something, but I don't know what. Help would be appreciated. I walk into the Ballroom My bloodred dress Swaying A Pure white mask covering my Face I Look through the slits The Couples dancing gleefully Everyone there has their own perfect Match it seems And I am left Alone The Crowds part for a moment Fate is on my side it seems There you stood My Prince My Knight And Wearing a Mask as well We Talked and Danced the night away When night had gone and day was soon to come I thought I loved you But I was wrong When you removed the mask you wore I saw only myself

Charli almost threw her tray at Nate, but kept her cool and put it in the trash instead. She got up and left, heading for the firing range. She picked up a gun, hoping to get in a little practice before the class started.

Iysys DiCosmo watched Luyii with a little interest. At least someone here had some compassion. She returned her attention to the meeting in front of her. After five minutes, she continued he doodling on the edge of her papers. Any one of her classes was easily better than this. ---------------- IT059-0275 looked out at the steel and chrome city that was her home. She hated it. Everywhere she looked, machines worked tirelessly at repetitive tasks. She wanted to go somewhere, anywhere with color and life. IT059-0275 would happily leave and return to her life as Valerie Johhansen, but a fear of man's violence and aggression to her kind made her stay. She sighed and looked through the racks of human clothing near by, the last bits of humanity she had.

Charli returned Clark's smile, wondering why he was staring at his meal so hard. She looked down at her tray and knew the answer immeadiately. Grimacing, she turned to Nate. "If you want me to take over your class tonight when you report, I'd be happy to." He stared at her indisbelief and she smiled innocently and shrugged.. "I'm a sniper for a reason." Unlike you.

I think it's just a general present. No real time period, but it's written so that it can fit into just about any modern era. But that's just me. -
Writing Crossover fan fictions... more exciting???
Eclectic replied to Jubei Yagyou's topic in Creative Works
If you were going for something that was almost purely humour, it would probably work. But other then that, I'd stay away. Far away. -
I wrote another poem called why and has absolutely nothing to do with this one. And I plan to write a few more; same cast, different script. And yes, it did happen to me last year.

Systems initialization complete. Beginning reawakening process. All organic systems functional. All mechanical systems green... "Do you think this one will work?" The young student scientist turned from the terminal, which displayed a long, complicated series of commands, processes, and responses. She looked to the large tank in the center of the pristine white and silver room. In it, a girl hung suspended, her long raven black hair flowing gracefully around her. The student turned to her sensei, Doctor Aaron Rosenthal, one of the most respected bio-engineers in the world. As a professor at Alsace University, he took on one promising student each year to be his assistant. This year he had chosen Shunelle Bordeaux. She could hardly believe her luck! And this year, he would be undertaking one of his greatest projects. He had never told her the details, naturally, but rumors had begun to spread around the campus. The professor had been receiving odd letters and visitors in the past few months. Shunelle looked back at the tank. The girl's hair had shifted in the pale green waters. She could know clearly see the long thin silver cables coming from every part of her body. Shunelle's light brown eyes softened. This girl would never know a real life. She was an experiment: something to be poked, prodded, and examined at every turn. Doctor Rosenthal turned to her from his own terminal. He was sullen, as he had been for the past few weeks. His usually smiling and tanned face was pale, drawn, and frowning. The grey hair that had seemed afraid to show its face now made up the majority on his balding crown. The man looked all his fifty-six years and much more. "For all of our sakes, I hope so." He turned back to his terminal and entered the last few commands. His words had left his young protégée in shock. That wasn't something he would usually say. There was something very odd happening, something very odd indeed. Passcodes accepted. Finalizing reawakening process. Draining container. Detaching life support cables...Reawakening complete. Test subject 10082016-005 restored. Opening container. The thick glass walls of the tank slid silently its top and the girl inside fell to the bottom. She stood tentatively, then fell to the laboratory floor. Shunelle tried to help her to her feet, but she pushed herself away across the shining floor, still unable to stand. "Try reassuring her. She feels threatened right now. Any language will do. I'm almost certain that part of her programming is functioning." Shunelle shrugged was about to try when the girl spoke in a shaky voice. "Who are you people? What it this place? Why am I here?" She looked around the room, the pupils of her violet eyes expanding and contracting as she focused on the gleaming objects in the laboratory. Shunelle placed a gentle, reassuring hand on her shoulder. ?You are in the genetics and bio-engineering laboratories of Alsace University in Kentucky. I am Shunelle Bordeaux, a student here, and this is Doctor Aaron Rosenthal, my ?? ?You bastard! How could you do this to me?!? The girl was standing now and her eyes glowed a malevolent crimson. Shunelle took a fearful step back and gasped in horror. The girl turned to her. ?Go now, and don?t tell anyone what you?ve seen here. Go!? Shunelle turned and ran back to her dormitory. She fumbled with the lock and dropped her jumbled mass of keys. Cursing, she bent to pick them up when the door opened, revealing her room-mate, Damien. He smiled and helped her to her feet. ?Another late night with the professor? I?m beginning to think something else might be going on. What are you two working on, anyway? I never tell me.? She walked in, ignoring all his questions. ?You know I can?t tell you that. Now leave me alone. I have to change, then there?s all my homework?? She walked into her room, leaving the door open. He followed and stood in the doorway, watching her intently. She smirked and would have been happy to do anything else he wanted her to, but there was a knock at the door, cutting their playtime short. He reluctantly left to answer the door. Can anyone help me think of a title? That's the only thing I'm stuck on. And tell me what you think!

I'm glad someone understands it. I don't even know where this came from. That thing happened over a year ago.

Found it! It was Harry's mother's so I'll just tweak it a bit... Wand: 10 1/2 inches, willow, dragon's heartstring There wasn't a core, unfortunately, so I made it up!
