Val smiled and blushed a little. "Same here." She looked away. "I guess I should tell you might have to let Deteria have control quite often. I..." She trailed off as she looked up and saw Saraneth. "How could we have ignored him?" She got up and kneeled by his side. "What happened to you?" She looked him over. He seemed as bad as Orien had, if not worse. She turned and looked back at Dmitri. "Can you help him?"

Charli stopped in midstep. She thought she had heard someone calling her name. She looked around a little. The closest thing was the sick bay. She walked in and saw Ren being sedated. "Stop! Can't you see he's obviously had enough of this?" She glared at the nurses, who backed off reluctantly. "Ren, what's wrong? I heard you screaming."

Tami blinked. "Umm...sure. I just have to get my stuff." She went into the locker room and picked up her bookbag. "Nice practice, Tami. I can't wait to see what you do in the game tomorrow." "Uhh...yeah." She waited until everyone else had gone and pulled her blade out of a storage room. If she was going to face this guy, she'd at least have her weapon. She walked back out onto the field. He and the girl were still standing there. "What do you want? I have a lot of homework and a game tomorrow."

Val came running back, followed by the forest spirits. "What the hell did he do?" She finally looked at all the damage Dango had caused. She walked up to him, burning with rage. "What were trying to do here, make it feel more like home?" She picked him up by his throat, her eyes glowing yellow. Realizing what she was doing, she put him down gently and tried to calm herself. "I'm sorry. I'm just a little upset." She sat by Dmitri. "You know, she loved every moment of it." "What?" "Hecate loves death and destruction. The only reason she helped you was because she also loves Deteria. I could feel it. She would have tortured you and made your death as painful as possible. You might have to let him have control, at least when she does. And he isn't a fool, as long as you're with him."

Charli woke up slowly. She had heard someone at the door and instinctively picked up the knife under her pillow. She was about to open the door when she stepped on Swift's letter. Relaxing a little, she opened it with the knife. Half way through, she stopped. Ryan had given it to her the day they'd met. [i]***FLASHBACK*** Charli walked across the grounds of her new high school. It was her senoir year and this was her fifth school. She sighed. This wasn't going to be easy. She round a corner and ran into a bunch of guys smoking. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? What's a pretty young thang like you doin' in a place like this?" She turned and tried to go back the way she came. One of them was standing there. She sighed. She had promised herself she would fight the first day. She dropped her books and was about to take them on when he came. "Picking on the new girl? That's not the best way to welcome someone." "What're you talkin' about? We were just introducing ourselves." "Sure you were. Come on." He took her hand and led her away. "What were you doing over there anyway?" "I was lost and I can take care of myself. How are you?" "I'm Ryan. I didn't catch your name." "It's Charli. And you're trying some of the worst pickups I've ever heard." ***END FLASHBACK***[/i] Charli sank against the door as the tears rolled slowly down her face. But she still had a job to do. She dressed quickly and headed for the girls' barracks.

"I wonder what I can do." Elli held out her hand and concentrated, making a miniature tornado in her palm. "Glenn, look!" She turned to him, smiling a little. She concentrated again and closed her hand into a fist and opened it again. The tornado was gone. "See if you can do something." She looked at him expectantly.

Hecate closed her eyes, then opened them again. She was Val again. "I'm sorry for anything we did. Hecate wasn't supposed to tell anyone about what she was. But I'm not sure if the spirits will help us again. We might have called on them too much. But I'll still try." She ran to Orien, dodging Dango on the way. "Orien, I need you to look after Dmitri. He's hurt and I have to get some help. I'll be back as soon as I can." With that, she ran off. She knew the spirits weren't far away because of the fire Dango started, but it might be hard to convince them to help. She skidded to a stop as she saw them hurrying towards her.

Extending her claws, she jumped from the trees and stood by Deteria. "What did you do to him?" "Poisoned him. He'll survive...barely. There's an antidote but he won't be able to find it any time soon." She watched Dango and laughed at his empty threats.

OOC: Sorry for posting so late! Tami yawned. She didn't have anything to do. She looked over at the large blade sitting in the corner of her room. Shaking her head a little, she picked up the phone and called one of her friends, making plans to go to the mall that weekend. She laid back on her bed. She picked up her Calculus book and started working on the next chapter.

Elli looked up at the sky. She did that a lot for some reason. She felt a breeze blow across her face but didn't feel the braids lift from her back. She had often felt it, but something was different this time. The breeze was a little stronger and little more controlled. She looked over at Glenn. She felt connected to him somehow. Ignoring this feeling, she looked back up at the sky.

Marie-Claire stood in the busy kitchen, frozen in fear. As much as her grandmother had taught her, she wasn't prepared for this. She had just seen a ghost. At first, she thought it was some new publicity stunt for the hotel. She shook her head and tried to finish her shift.

Hecate watched from a tree in the distance. This was much more interesting but she still wanted to play. She wanted to help Deteria but didn't know how. [i]Of course! Dango won't be able to heal if he's infected by my poison.[/i] Smiling a little to herself, she jumped high into the trees, hoping to get close enough to jump onto his head. Jumping again, she landed on his head and scratched his scalp deeply. Satisfied with his surprised scream, she retreated back to the trees.
