"I've already been in your shoes. And I don't believe in subjecting myself to cruelty from anyone, especially not my father. Or have you forgotten about him? He was supposedly like an uncle to you, just as your father was to me. He gave me just about everything I wanted, or should I say my demon half. He loved her. He used her to kill when he didn't feel like it. I'm going back to Dmitri." She walked away, hoping Dmitri hadn't gone far.
-
Val growled. She hated it when people referred to her with anything but her name. "If you want to talk about me, then use my name! I am not a thingie! I have a name and it's Valkyrie! And if you think I'm going to steal the Fang, you're sadly mistaken. I don't want it! I'm tired of you and that spirit!"
-
Val looked at him, still confused. Either he's an idiot or he's serious. It's probably both but what if he really is serious? Then who is he talking about? I'm so confused... "Dango, what are you talking about? Who could cause trouble? And why the hell did you give him control anyway? I'm sure you know how powerful it is, didn't you think that the spirit guarding it would be powerful too?"
-
Val looked at Dango for a second in utter disbelief. She shook her head, still unable to see how he had such an appetite, even for a demon. Great, I'm stuck with an idiot wolf demon for a companion. The gods must hate me right now... She smiled back at Dmitri. "I suppose not." She walked away content with what she had in life...for the most part. Wait! I want some meat! Where are you going? Go back and get us some meat! I'm tired of fruit! Deal with it. I've had enough of you. Go torture yourself or something. Her demon half growled back at her. Not that it mattered. She was still happy...sort of.

OOC: Yes. Dani ran down the field, wanting to setup the play she had made, but couldn't. She refused to speak in public. Still, it would have been the perfect play. She had thought up quite a few since the start of the season. Taking the shot, she scored again, giving her team the lead once again. It was half time now. She sat down, resting a bit before she had to go back in. Someone handed her a note. *** While you were in, someone left you a text message. If you need more time after the half, take it. *** She immeadiately pulled out her phone. She thought she had heard something. She quickly opened the message, hoping it might be from her boyfriend... *** New mission. Report immeadiately for briefing. *** She frowned. This wasn't good news or bad news, just a bit depressing. She wanted to go back in during the second half, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. She wrote a note and handed it to the coach, who nodded and dismissed her. No doubt she must wonder where she was going. In the past three years, Dani had told them six uncles, five aunts, three cousins, and a half-brother had either died or become seriously injured. She needed to come up with some new lies. It wasn't a long walk, but she still drove. It only took about ten minutes. She left her things in the car and ran for the meeting room, falling through the door.

Val glared at Dango. "Yes, Dmitri, I do want the Fang. With it, I could be a full demon." What are you doing?! I don't want it and you're not gonna get it! Leave Dmitri out of this! Why? He's as much a part of this as we are. That's it! I want my body back! It took a while, but Val had control again. "Sorry, Dango. I don't want it. Never try to give it to me and guard it with your life. I'm going to walk with Dmitri from now on." At least this way, he can stop my demon half if she tries to get the Fang...
-
She looked at him blinking for a moment. How could he know I wanted to steal it? How did he know I knew about it in the first place? This is so confusing! I feel like I'm not safe, even in my own mind! Let me out now. Let me deal with him. If it came to a fight, I could beat him. I told you, no serious injuries! And I don't want the Fang. It was just an innocent thought! Sure, but I still want out. Just don't hurt anyone. Val stopped for a second, letting her demon half surface. She took over almost immeadiately. "Now, Dango, what were you saying about letting me use the..you know?" What are you doing? I don't want to use it! But I do. And there's nothing you can do about it!

Kaya had seen the flash of someone running into the open door. Hopefully, Jon and Quita hadn't. Trying to act natural, she smiled. "Hi Ryan. We got here a little early and decided to wait inside. Sorry if you were a little worried. This is a nice place though. It's much better than home." She began to worry a bit. If that really was Ryan, she hoped he didn't expect her to be that fast. She turned her attention to the other person with him. "You must be Sakura. I'm Kaya. This is Quita and this is my boyfriend, Jon." "Hi, nice to meet you." Jon walked up to her and shook hands. Quita just looked from Ryan to Sakura, a little confused. She had obviously seen him too. She walked over to her. "Play nice, Quita. And don't worry about what you saw. It was just the wind." She relaxed a little and started talking to Sakura. Happier now that everyone had met, she let go of some of her tension. It was starting to feel like a block of ice.

...Maria. A little shocked, she accidently gave him an uppercut that sent him flying. "Sorry Tate! That's been happening a lot today. Are you okay?" He stood, staggering a bit. "I'm good. But what happened to you?" She sighed. "Long story. I woke up this morning and looked like this." She ran a hand through her hair. "It's better than my little sister. She looks like the little dragon from Tekken 3. But one good thing did come from all this. I got the tattoo I always wanted!"

Val followed, not wanting to be left behind. She wasn't sure if this was her battle to fight, but at least they wouldn't have to worry about her becoming human. That was one of the few things she hated about herself. Her human half had much better judgement than her demon half, but that was about where the advantages ended. There was no way for her to be a full demon, unless... She looked over at Dango, who was trailing at a distance. He had the Fang, she could smell it. If she had that, she could be a full demon and live without worry, but... She looked ahead at Dmitri. He chose that moment to look back at her and give her one of his smiles. She smiled back, hoping he wouldn't read her mind. She knew Dmitri loved her just as she was. She couldn't do something as selfish as theft from someone who was supposed to be a friend, could she? During the entire walk that day, she thought about it. Maybe I should tell Dmitri about this. But what would he say?
-
Val groaned a little as she woke up. "What happened while I was asleep?" She looked at the ashes in front of Dmitri. "And why are there ashes in front of you?" She looked up and noticed Dango. He seemed different somehow. She sniffed. "You've been in a desert and..." she sniffed again "You have a object of great power. But it can't be what I think it is. You should be dead." She sighed. "Before anyone explains anything, tell me where Orien is. Weren't we supposed to be travelling with him?"

"I guess so," Kaya said skeptically. She still couldn't see what was wrong. She knew, or at least had met, almost everyone here. Who would want to do anything to them? "You should listen, ya know." She pulled out her PET to see Phoenix glaring at her. "When someone gives you advice, you should take it, no matter how stupid it may sound to you." "I never thought their advice was anything but overly cautious. Can't you give me the benefit of the doubt here?" "No. You weren't gonna take their advice and you were just gonna fight the way you wanted to. While I don't object, it is kinda odd that all of you would be fighting at the same time but not together." "I guess so." She sighed. Now, I have to try to think up a new strategy before each battle. This is gonna be real fun...

"If you want to try bargaining with her, be my guest." She sighed again, knowing she would have to at least try this on her own. "Then I guess you also know that you won't have a body either. The best thing we can do is compromise. We'll stay together and I'll let you out every once in a while. But you will not seriously injure anyone. Is that a deal?" She thought about this for a second. "Fine, but I get to play with him whenever I want. He's hiding something from me, something a lot more fun then he is." "Agreed. Sorry, Dmitri, but now she can play whenever she wants. I hope that's okay with you."

OOC: I think I'm just gonna jump back in now... Kaya was taken to a small nearby village. She dusted herself off and picked up her pack. She looked around, seeing no one she should recognize. Duh, Kaya. You're in the past, remember? Still, she had seen Nayro coming this way and had hoped to find her. She knew better than to ask about her, so Kaya wandered around, hoping an answer would fall from the sky.

OOC: Sorry I haven't been posting! Kaya looked over the lineup. She was to fight soon, ten minutes actually, in Arena 14. She didn't know who she was fighting against, but they shouldn't be hard to beat. She looked around at the others there. She spotted a small group nearby, watching everyone else suspiciously. Shrugging that of as just her imagination, she walked up to the three of them. She thought she knew one, Seta, from another tournament. "Hello. I'm Kaya."
