"I have to go now. If you think I should, find me." She flew off, wondering if she really should have told him. The others were easy to find. She landed and looked around. "Umm...hi! Did I miss anything important?"
-
"I don't understand this at all. I need to go somewhere to think. And don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She returned to the stream, sitting in a nearby tree and gazing into the water. Nothing made sense anymore. She leaned back, resting against the rough bark of the trees trunk., and closed her eyes. The forest spirits were close...and so was something else. It was very close, but she couldn't place it. She sat in the tree, still pondering the presnce, when she heard someone below her.

OOC: Mount Kea(Hawaii) and Stromboli(Italy) are real active volcanoes. I didn't just make something up for once! ^_^ IC: Kaya watched him drive off, wordering how he'd gotten here so fast. "He was supposed to have sent me that weeks ago. What team am I on anyway?" She opened the letter and read. "Hmm...Hyper Speed Knights..." "You're on the Hyper Speed Knights?" He grapped the letter to see for himself. "You can barely run a lap around the track in gym without complaining!" "Excuse me," she snapped, snatching the letter from him. "No one asked you to comment on my abilities!" She glanced out the window. The limo with Quita was outside, ready to take her to the airport. "Are you coming with me or not?" "I guess so." "Good, then you can help me with my bags." She pulled several very large suitcases from out of her closet. "I guessed I packed enough..." "Are you moving somewhere? I thought this tournament was supposed to be short." "I still have to train with the rest of my team. Besides, this one is training wear, these two are casual wear, this one is semi casual and this one is semi formal and formal." They dragged her bags downstairs to the car and got in. As soon as Kaya closed the door, they pulled off, heading for the small airport nearby. She pulled her crystal out of her pocket and looked at it for a bit. The stone casted a reddish glow on her face. She put it around her neck and glanced out the window as Rome passed her by. "What's wrong?" Quita asked. "You're usually happy to be away. I would be too. No school for any amount of time is a good thing." "I guess so." She sighed as they past the city limits. "We'll be at the airport soon. And Jon, you have to make a decision. Are you coming or not?" "I don't know..." There was a long silence as they got out of the car and onto the plane. "so, why did we leave a day early?" Quita asked after take-off. "Well, my parents said I could borrow the plane and the motorcycle for the weekend and you guys don't have school on Monday, so ..." "I know! Weekend Vaca!" Quita squealed with delight. "Where to?" "Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. I can train somewhere hot, you guys can stay all weekend and leave on Monday. All expenses are paid. Tomorrow, I'll just take the jet. That's the real reason I brought so many bags. There's one for each of you and the other two are mine." "One question. How did you find out what size I wear? I've never told you or Quita." "Ah, the wonders of modern technology, especially when in the hands of a wealthy and somewhat capable hacker." Kaya smiled. "I tracked any shopping you've done online recently and matched sizes with your height and weight from the school's healthcare database. It was pretty easy." Jon turned to Quita. "Remind me never to give her a reason to hate me." They landed in Honolulu a few hours later and checked into the Hawaii Grand Hotel's penthouse suite. They all changed and met in Kaya's room. "I'm going to find the nearest active volcano," Kaya said. "What are you two doing?" "I'm not sure yet," Jon replied. "Maybe we'll go with you. There's bound to be something near a volcano." "You can take the motorcycle. I'm going to get there on foot." She opened the suite's laptop and searched for a bit. "According to this, the nearest is Mount Kea on Hawaii, 185 miles away." She sighed. I guess we have to take the car. I can't run across the bays." They all got into the car. "Malcolm, we need to go to Mount Kea." she handed the driver a map. "This should show you the fastest ways there." It didn't take very long and Kaya left her friends behind and began the long climb. The hotter it got, the more at home she felt and the more her crystal began to react. "This is just like begin at home on Stromboli." She inhaled deeply and transformed into her crystal form. Her short hair grew long, almost unruly, and turned a red and orange mix. She sprouted great wings of fire. "This is perfect," she sighed contentedly. "What are you doing up here?" a strange voice called from behind her. She returned to her normal form and looked to see who it was. A local was running up the volcano behind her. "Wait!" he cried, "this is an active volcano! You can't just go up when you like! It's not a tourist attraction!" "I'm not a tourist, I'm here to train. And if it's so dangerous, why, may I ask are you up here? A local like yourself should know better." "I have a Fire crystal. The heat doesn't bother me and neither will any magma." "Really? Then you wouldn't mind a little fight against me, would you? I have a Phoenix crystal. Hopefully we'll be evenly matched." He shook his head. "I wouldn't want to hurt you. And fighting you might ruin my reputation as a gentleman. I'd never fought a girl before out of respect." Kaya's anger boiled and the power of her crystal grew. "Then it's time you made an exception. Are you ready to be beaten by this girl?" He sneered. "Of course, I'm ready to fight you. And out of respect, I'll let you hit me without even powering my crystal." "You MUST be an idiot! This isn't anywhere NEAR my full power and you WANT me to hit you??" She laughed. "Fine then." She powered down a little and charged at him. He dodged at the last possible second. "What? The little streetfighter can't hit me? King of Mount Kea has never been beaten before!" He changed into his crystal form, dressed like a traditional Hawaiian warrior. "There's a first time for everything, Tiki Boy." She did the same and smiled. No one calls me a streetfighter and gets away with it. She charged at him again. "The same attack? I thought Italians had more sense then that." He dodged again, laughing the entire time. He stood a few yards away, still laughing. "Is that all you can do?" "No!" Kaya was flying above him, a ball of flames in her hands. She threw it at him and charged at the ground. He dodged again, but was hit by Kaya and pinned to the ground. "Bye-bye, Tiki Boy." She made another fire-ball, larger and much more powerful this time, and held it inches from his face. "Give up yet?" The aura of power around her surged, growing almost expontentially. "Yeah, don't hurt me!" She stood, still holding the fire-ball. He jumped up and was about to run back down to the town below. "Wait! Are there any other fighters nearby?" "Almost everyone here has a Fire crystal. But there's a few on Maui who don't." "Thanks." She returned to her normal self and started walking back when she paused. "Here, Tiki Boy, have a present." She tossed the ball into the volcano, knowing it wouldn't do any damage. "You could set off an eruption!" "Don't worry. It won't. Your now-ruined reputation, however, just might." With that, she turned and walked back to the car, where her friends were waiting. "What did you do this time?" Jon asked. "I hope you didn't hurt anyone. We could see the flames from here." Kaya sighed. "Such reverence for arrogant yet unskilled fighters. I didn't do anything. We should go. I need to get up pretty early tomorrow." They got back into the car and returned to the hotel without much thought of what had happened. They had seen her fight before on the nearby volcanoes. She did that kind of thing all the time. *LATER* "Jon, you have to decide tonight. Are you going with me? Quita is." "I don't know. I really want to, but what about school?" "I'll have my parents send them an e-mail. Don't worry about that." "What about my mom? She wants me to keep my grades up." She handed him the phone. "It's about still pretty early there. Just call her and ask." He took the phone and called. Several minutes later, he hung up, looking happy. "She said yes. As long as my grades are good. And she's going to call the school and tell them I'm going on a student exchange trip. There's a family there that wants me to stay with them next year. So sometimes I'll be with them." "Well, I'll call Ryan and tell him." She picked up the phone and looked at the number on her letter. "I hope he let's you come." With that, she dialed the number and waited for him to answer.

Please Save Me A Spot! I'll have to post everything tomorrow. I have my last set of exams tomorrow morning. EDIT! Name: Arrianna (do I really need a last name?) Race: True Human Age: 17 Weapon: (does a pair of weapons count as two?) a pair of silver sais and a silver broadsword, both forged by a dragon's flame. (Oh, how I love Irony...:D) Appearance: caramel skin, white hair, grey eyes, wears black formal dresses with silver jewelry (several braclets and rings, necklace), has a lot of scars from where she was burned, though most of them can hardly be seen. Short Bio: Arrianna and her family used to get along very well with the dragons and dragonlords. But one day when she was 14, someone set her home on fire, with herself and her family inside. She and her older brother survived the actual event, but he later died of infections to the wounds. In a fit of rage after his death, she swore revenge on them. She stole a few weapons from her father's shoppe (he was a weaponsmith) and fled into the forests. She wandered and eventually stumbled upon a secret society. She joined immeadiately and was (almost) delighted to find that they, too, didn't like dragons. She has trained with them and is now an experienced fighter and knows some basic magic. Personality(I feel like I need to add this one): Though Arianna has sworn revenge against dragons, she is still a very kind, gentle person. If she didn't know someone was a dragonlord, she'd be as kind to them as she would be to any human. (HINT, HINT)
-
"I'm sure your father and sister don't hate you. And your brother will still love you, even if he can't remember. You shouldn't judge someone by what they appear to be. Uncle Sessho told me that. He told me he had made some mistakes but hoped no one would judge him solely on that." Kaya had finally figured out who her family was. "And even if they don't care, I will. I'm still family, aren't I?"

Name: Daniella (Dani) Taylor Callsign: Siren Age: 16 Sex: Female Height: 6'7" Build: average. Not really skinny, not really fat, just somewhere in between Attire: black tight jeans, black combat boots, red shirt, black duster Abilities: Siren's voice can break glass, thin plastics, etc. as well as eardrums. If she sings at the right pitch, tempo, and frequency, she can control almost anyone, but only if she continues singing. She can also lure/charm anyone, men especially.(doesn't use the last two much because of an incident in her past. see bio) Biography: Dani was raised in a normal household with normal parents, normal siblings, and had a normal life until she was ten. For some reason, she decided to start singing one of her favorite songs from of the radio. While singing, she was able to make her little brother perform extremely dangerous stunts. Her parents tried to conceal the truth and did so until she was 14. One of her teachers asked her to sing for their annual Christmas concert. Though she refused several times, they convinced her that night. She didn't appreciate one of the students bullying her into it and while she sang, he committed suicide. That night, her parents called Eden and had her taken away. They altered and 'improved' her until she could break glass and charm people. Afraid they might try to use her as a weapon, she escaped with Gus. She now pretends to be a deaf mute so she will never have to talk, or sing, again.

"We should go back," Xaphania said. They had been driving around for a hour or so. "I'll drive." "Uhh...that's okay." Joe drove back to her apartment and they arrived a few minutes before the sun rose. "You can sleep if you want. I have something I need to do." He walked over to the bed in the corner and collasped onto it, instantly asleep. She went to the phone and quickly dialed a number. Hello? "Hi, Mom. It's me." Oh honey, it's so good to here from you! Have you been busy studying? "Yeah. College can be pretty hard sometimes." When are you coming home again? She grimaced. "I'm not sure, Mom. I...have a lot of work to do. I'll try to come home next time. Okay?" Of course. You know I just worry about you. The police have been finding people... I'm sure you've heard about it. "I'll be fine Mom. Don't worry. I have class soon. Gotta run." Just call more often. Bye. "Okay Mom. Bye." She hung up and sighed. This was getting harder and harder. Her parents still thought she was at the university. It had been so long since she was there last, she didn't even remember the name.
-
Xaphania glared at him. "I owe nothing to anyone and my patience has already been tried. There may have been a time when I would have willingly laid my life on the line for Him or you. But that's gone now. For me, there will only be revenge and the utter destruction of His reign. If you stand in my way, I..." She paused. What would I do to him? Could I really kill him? She looked into his eyes. For the first time in centuries, she faltered. "I..." "What would you do to me, Xaphania?" She looked away. "Nothing. I would do nothing," she hissed through clenched teeth. Something moved in the corner of her eye. "Let me go. Someone's watching us."

Val sat by Dmitri while he slept. She could see it was a far from peaceful sleep, but there was nothing she could do. She glanced up at the sun. It would be morning in a few minutes, but she didn't enjoy this as much as she had any other time. She looked back down at Dmitri. There was no way this could be happening again. She could still remember every detail about the last time ***FLASHBACK*** "Good morning love. How are you this morning?" Valkyrie turned and smiled, seeing her husband, Amrod Lossëhelin, standing behind her, with a lock of her har entwined in his long, slender fingers. "I'm fine. And you?" She kissed him gently on the lips... ***END FLASHBACK*** Val shook her head furiously. Those memories were still too painful to deal with. Her demonic powers were returning slowly, but she heard Orien coming. "How long will he be like this?" "A few more hours at least. You don't have to wait with him." "Yes," she said, after a moments consideration, "I do."

Aria blushed a little. "I'm not very good at magic. I can do Locating spells and make magical maps, but other than that, nothing. I was trying to find a powerful elf that might take me as their pupil. That's how I found you. I'm also one of an ancient line of mages, sorcerers, and enchantresses. And my family expects nothing short of perfection from me when it comes to magic. They still think I'm with Diana, but she dismissed me. So I decided to find a new teacher. Will you take me as your pupil? Please?"
-
Aria opened the door to her room and looked around. "This entire city is a dump. How dare they call it Paradise?" She opened the window and stowed her new sword by her bed. Then she took out a spellbook and began practicing a few of the more advanced ones. She had been there for only a few minutes when she heard someone leaving the room next to hers. She jumped up and ran to the door. It was one she had come here for. "Excuse me. Would you happen to be Pritz Panzerdragoon?" He nodded. "I am Aria Ravena, a mage and former apprentice of the great sorceress Diana," She continued imperiously. "I had heard of you and wanted to know if you could train me in swordsmanship and natural magics."

I hope I can still sign up! Character name: Jin Kazama Reason For Choosing Charcter: Since I've started playing the Tekken series, my favorite charcter has always been a tie between Jin, his father, Kazuya, and his mother, Jun. Not only is he a very important in Tekken 2, 3, Tag Tournament and the movie (I haven't played 4 yet:() but he's cute!:D He also a good fighter that has a reason to fight in the first place. Side: Umm...*sits and wonders* Next Question? I don't have an image of him right now, but I'll find one...eventually....

"Dmitri, are you okay? Dmitri? What's wrong?" She tried to sense what might be happening but realized she still didn't have her demon powers back yet. Silently cursing herself, she turned to Orien and Saraneth. "Do you know what's happening to him?" She looked down at him. He looked like he was in so much pain, and there was nothing she could do to help.
-
Aria stormed into the desolate town, pushing the beggars out of her way. She reached the closest mageware shoppe and walked in. "Hello, madam. Is there anything I can do for you?" "Yes, I need ten blank scrolls. You wouldn't happen to have anything on Natural magics, would you?" "Yes, we just recieved a book today. You would have to be a very practiced mage to use some of these spells. That will be twenty gold pieces." "For all of it?" "Yes." She had expected to pay twice that much. She paid anyway and went to a weapons shoppe. "Excuse me, but do you have any long swords?" "Yes, but I suggest something lighter for you, little lady." "I'll manage. I would also like a sheath for that." "Of course. That will be forty-five gold pieces. Are you goning on a quest or something?" "Thank you." She paid and left, slightly surprised. Everything here was so much cheaper than it was at home. She headed for the inn. She walked in and went immeadiately to the bartender. "Has a man by the name of Pritz come in here?" "Why would you want to know?" Taking that for a yes, she shrugged. "No reason. He's just an old friend. Are there any rooms available?" "Three gold pieces a night." "Very well." She paid quickly. "I'm not sure how long I'll be here. But I have a lot more gold." "Sign here," he said gruffly. Aria added her name to the blank page, but not before seeing the light markings of the back of the page before. "Aria Ravena?" "Yes?" She turned to the bartender. "Here's you key. And no one will take your room. Just pay before you leave in the mornings." "Thank you." With that, she sauntered hautily(sp) up the stairs.

Val sat on the bank by the stream, waiting for the sun to rise. The world was closing in on her. She stared into the water, as if waiting for it to give her some kind of answer to her problems. Maybe a swim would help but she was afraid. What if something terrible happened? What if...? Every thought began with What If. It was enough to make her scream. She was about to return to the cave when she spotted a mass of black in the reflections of the stream. She turned and screamed in terror. OOC: The thing she sees is Saraneth, in case you didn't know.

"Hello Uriel. I'm glad to see you still remember me. How long has it been?" "What are you doing here?" "No matter how long I'm down here, His affairs will still concern me. You still remember why I'm down here don't you?" "Because you rebelled against..." "Against what? I felt it was wrong that mortals should suffer so much. And what do I get from that Tyrant? Banishment! Explain that to me." "But you have killed so much, He had to." "I haven't done anything of the sort. But He does it all the time. If He feels someone is wrong, he either kills them, banishes them, or tortures them endlessly. Prove me wrong."
-
"I've never been around humans. They tend to be afraid of me." She hung her head. "I wandered before I came to the forest. I killed almost anyone I came across. It isn't something I like to remember and I've never told anyone about it." She looked out the cave entrance and sighed. She still had a while to go. She always hated this waiting. "I need to go. I need to clear my head." She picked up her weapons and left the cave., wandering towards a nearby stream.

If you want I can be two people. EDIT: Hmm...I think I'll be Storm. I'll have stats up soon.

Valkyrie woke up and took in her surroundings then looked outside. It was still dark and she wouldn't return to normal for a few hours still. She looked over at Dmitri sitting awake and alone. "What happened?" she asked, walking over to him. "Have I missed anything important?" "We found the angel but he escaped. And Dango returned. I'm not sure where he is now." "Oh. I need to tell you something. I...had a husband once. He was an elf, but he left me. For no apparent(sp?) reason. That's why I was so mistrustful of you at first. And my father took my only daughter away from me. So I left his house. But I stole some of his best weapons before I did. He's been trying to find and kill me ever since." "And how long has it been." "Fifty years. I'm one hundred and ten years old."

OOC: Knight of the Rose, when you actually meet up with me, I'll be at home, packing. IC:Kaya sighed and looked at her watch. Only fifteen more minutes before she could leave. Rome might have been a beautiful city, but to her, it was just another city with another house her parents owned. Someone slipped her a note. She glanced back and saw Marquita, one of the only friends she had there, waving to her. "Thanks," she mouthed and quickly turned and opened the note... *** Hey Kaya! How'd ya do on that English Exam? It seems like his tests are getting harder and harder! We should all boycott! DOWN WITH ENGLISH!!! *starts making posters and a petition sheet* *** Kaya laughed silently. Quita always seemed to be protesting something related to school. She continued reading... *** So anyway, how's life been treating ya? I still have a ton of projects to finish (aka start). At least I'll know you'll be having fun when I'm rushing at the last minute. Get a couple guys' email addys for me! ;) Have fun and win for me! Yours Truly, The Incomparable ~Quita PS: Your unofficial boyfriend wants to meet you at the front doors before you leave school. Wants to say goodbye or something. Ciaou! *** She stared at the note for a little then glanced at her watch again. Five minutes left. She'd talk to Quita after class. The only shocking part was that Jon wanted to see her. She glanced at her watch again. Three minutes. She scribbled a hurried note... *** Tell Jon I have to see all my teachers before I can leave. I want to talk to him, just once I'm done. Thanks and Ciaou! *** She passed it to her. "Okay, class," the teacher began. "Don't forget to do problems one to thirty for homework this weekend. (class groans) And Ms. Valkyrie, I need to see you before you leave." The bell rang and everyone left except Kaya and Quita. Kaya walked up to her desk. "Was there something you wanted?" "Yes. Here's a list of all the work you'll be missing this quarter. If you could, please email me all your work and I'll send you all of your tests and the next quarter's work. You will be taking a laptop with you, correct?" "Yes, ma'am." "Now go and win. You'll make this school and the rest of Italy proud." Kaya smiled. "Thank you." Together, they all left the room and parted ways. Kaya headed for each part of the school, collecting all the work she'd have to do, though none of the other teachers were quite as supportive. When she was finally done forty-five minutes later, she rushed to her locker, then the front doors. Jon stood there waiting. "Hello, Kaya. I just wanted to see you before you left. I...uhh..wanted to say that I'm...I'm gonna miss you." They both blushed. "Really? I'll miss you too. But I have to go now. Maybe you could come with me to my house. I still have some packing to do." "Umm...sure. But what about your friend, Quita?" "She's going to meet me...us there. Come on." She walked over to where her motorcycle was parked. "I'm not sure if there's enough room. How'd you get here?" He blushed again. "My dad dropped me off." "Then I'm sure I could make room." She shifted the things in her backpack around until it was smaller. "There. Ready to go?" She handed him her spare helmet and put on her own. "Umm...are you allowed to drive that thing?" "Yes. Why?" She hopped on and started the engine. "Oh, no reason really." He got on behind her and held on tightly. As if for dear life. "My driving's not that bad." With that, she drove away. It wasn't as bad driving home today as it usually was. Sure, she jumped a few curbs, but still, it wasn't too bad. She arrived at her parent's villa in ten minutes. "You can let go now." "Next time, I drive." They went upstairs to her room. "Nice place you've got here." "What? Oh, sure, I guess. I'd rather live in a normal house. It seems so much more...lived in. Not like this place." He walked over to the table by her door. "Looks like you've got some mail. Let's see...Cell phone bill, magazine, magazine, magazine, magazine, magazine...How many of these do you get?" "About ten." She looked at him and smiled. "I get bored on long flights. Maybe you could go on the plane with me, then come back with it. Quita's going." "Don't I need a ticket?" "Nope. Private jet. It has better food too. Please continue with what mail I've gotten." "How money much do you have? Anyway, more magazines, several letters from several different schools, and..." Just then the door bell rang. "I'll get it!" She yelled, running as fast as she could down the stairs. She checked herself in the mirror. Not bad. I could have worn something better and my makeup needs a touchup... She pushed the button to open the huge double doors. "Hello, I'm looking for Kaya Valkyrie. I'm Ryan, her team's captain." "Oh hi! I'm Kaya. Nice to meet you. Come in. Sorry about any mess, I'm still packing." Ryan looked around the impeckably clean house, wondering where the mess might be. "Hey, Kaya, who was at the door?" She looked up to see Jon coming down the stairs. "Who's that?" "Umm...Jon, meet my team captain, Ryan. Ryan, meet my boyfriend, Jon."

OOC: Dango is off somewhere in the forest. Valkyrie and Dmitri have found other adventurer(Orien) and a fallen angel (Saraneth). Currently, Val, Dmitri, and Orien are tracking him. But, Val has just revealed that she becomes human the night of every new moon. So she and Dmitri are in a cave. O_o That sound kinda odd but does it help? IC: "Thanks, Dmitri," Val said, turning her back to him. "But can you do me a favor?" "What is it?" he said dropping the firewood in his arms. "Find that bastard." "Which one?" She laughed. "The angel. And before you go, I want to tell you something. I know what it's like to lose the ones you care about. Maybe not in the same way you have, but I still know. Now go." "But you won't have anyone to take care of you." "I'll be fine. I really don't want you to see me." "Why not?" She looked up at him. Her ears were gone, her eyes were a dark brown and had lost their cat-like slits, her hair even even turned from silver to black. She smiled. "I can still fight, even if it's not that well. Just go."
-
OOC: Sorry, Geist, but I have to post something. IC:"I didn't think you could kill me." Xaphania looked Sebastian dead in the eye. "If you need to find me, call for Maelstrom. He'll lead you to me. But remember this: Just because I want revenge doesn't mean I'm evil." "Than what does it mean?" "Why don't you you tell me. You want revenge against those who have made you what you are, don't you?" With that, she returned to her angelic form and flew off. She saw Uriel in the distance, following another angel. She took off after him, unsure of what she'd actually do when she caught up with him.

Kaya kneeled down beside Nayro. If her mother really was a miko, she should be able to do something to help...Right? She searched her memory but couldn't think of anything. "You can't help Lady Nayro," Sphra hissed, "becaussssse you are a hanyo. You don't have the powersssss of a miko." She growled at the snake, then remembered her pack. She dug through it, hoping she'd remembered it. 'Let's see...First Aid kit, weapons (might need those later), food (she might want something to eat), bottled water, matches, mirror, makeup, extra jewelry...Why is it I always forget the important suff?' Sesshioko looked at her. "What are you rummaging for? And what is all this junk?" Kaya sighed. "Modern medicine might have been able to help. If only I had remembered some Asprin(sp)." (everyone's favorite cure-all!:D) "And what could that have done?" She shrugged. "How should I know? There aren't many demons in the Modern Era. Ones that make themselves know at least." She turned back to Nayro and Sphra. "Alright you little garden snake, what can we do to help Nayro?"
-
Kaya yawned and rolled over in bed. She really should get up but there was no school today. She could do whatever she wanted. It was Saturday, wasn't it? She looked at the date on her computer. Friday...FRIDAY!?!? She jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. "Ms. Valkyrie?" Her constantly worried maid peeked into the room. "You must hurry! You have school today! Then you must pack for the tournament. Ms. Valkyrie?" "Don't worry so much, Leena. And I've told you a million times, just call me Kaya. Everyone else does." She put on her makeup and choker. Looking at her Phoenix crystal, she threw it into her pocket. "So, what's for breakfast?" "What do you want Ms. Valkyrie?" Kaya sighed. No matter what, Leena would always call her Ms. Valkyrie. At least some things wouldn't change. "It's Kaya and all I want is some toast and a glass of juice." Why did I start going to public school? Having a tutor was so much easier. Because you wanted to meet new people, her conscience (sp) answered. Kaya ran downstairs to the kitchen. Her parents sat reading the newspaper, probably seeing how much money their stocks would make. Another thing that wouldn't change. "Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad." "Good morning, Kaya," her father replied. "Don't be late for school again. They're already upset about you leaving for this tournament." She ate a piece of toast, thinking about all the work they expected her to do. "Dad, aren't you the one who's always telling me to better myself? Obviously, I'm a good enough fighter, so I'm gonna go do. Gotta go now. Bye!" "Correct English, darling!" Her mother gave her a concerned look. "And don't get yourself hurt." "Mom, I'll be fine!" "Sorry we won't be here to see you off honey! Leena will take you to the airport. Our jet will be waiting for you." "But, you promised! What is it this time? You can't get out of some kind of stupid meeting? I must not be that important to you if you can just blow me off like that. I have to go." She stormed out of the house and got onto her motorcycle (OOC: I couldn't resist!:D). Her entire life had been a series of missed milestones. They missed her last five birthdays, her meeting with the American ambassadors(sp) and her inagruaration into the International Young Ambassadors(sp) Assocation, almost all of her fights, and her eighth grade graduation. Not to mention any sporting events she had, any awards ceremonies, anything and everything. When they did show up, they left before it was over! She arrived at school fifteen minutes bfore the bell rang, much to her relief. She walked through the halls, trying to gain some memories from this place. "Glad you could join us, Ms. Valkyrie," Her homeroom teacher commented. "And before the bell! I'm glad our little street fighting champion could grace us with her presence one last time!" The entire class erupted in laughter as she shrunk down into her seat. One more day, she thought, fingering the crystal in her pocket. One more day, and I can say goodbye to his face forever. OOC: Pretty good first post! Nice and long. Don't expect the rest to be this good. It's a pretty much one time event.
