1. "So, when's my second lesson? I have a spellbook with me, but I can't do anything in it. I also brought a sword, but I've never learn swordsmanship before." "Wait, before you go on with what you can't do, tell me what you can." She thought for a moment. "Well, I'm very good at locating spells and making magical maps. I can also some...other stuff..." She didn't want to mention the various spells she somehow seemed to know. They all seemed to revolve around death for some reason. "And I can talk to spirits. That's about it!" She smiled and hoped she didn't seem like an idiot.
2. She smiled and hugged him again, but remembering what he had said before, immeadiately let go. She sat back down, thinking about what he just said. He was right, of course, but it still didn't make things for her much better. That meant she really had killed all those people. Hopefully, that wouldn't matter anymore. She would make a fresh start right now. "Thank you so much, Pritz. And I'm going to stay, no matter what."
3. "Hurry up you two! We have to go NOW!" Kaya looked at her watch again. If those two don't hurry up! What could they be doing? "Come on, we'll miss our flight!" Quita ran out her room, dragging her suitcase behind her. Jon followed more slowly. "COME ON!" they yelled together, jabbing at the elevator button. They got on quickly and went to the first floor lobby apologizing to the other waiting guests. Their chauffeur and two bellhops took the bags as they got into the limo. Once Malcolm got into the car, Kaya handed him another map. "Thank you, miss, but I know where I'm going. I used to live here," commented, pulling off. "Oh," she said, embarassed and blushing. "My parents told me you would need a map. I'm sorry." "It's quite alright, miss. We should be arriving at the airport in ten minutes." A slower ten minutes had never passed. As soon as they got to the front doors, Kaya pushed her way to the gate. She was just about to board the plane when a stewardess tapped her on the shoulder. "This is a private gate reserved for Miss Valkyrie and her guests. You cannot go any further." "How dare you tell me I can't board my own family's jet! Do you know who I am?" It was one of the few times Kaya had ever lost her temper and over something so small. Jon and Quita caught up with her. "Come on, Kaya, just get on the plane and go. Jon, please take care of her." "Well, first of all..." His vioce faded as they boarded the the jet. "Kaya, what's wrong with you? You almost never get mad about anything." "Just a little stressed that's all. I wish he would hurry up." She looked at her watch. Ryan and Sakura would most likely be in the air by now. "Calm down! Here he is." Jon walked into the cabin, looking slightly exhausted. "Finally we can go!" And the jet started down the runway. ***Hours Later*** "Miss Valkyrie, we'll be landing soon. Would you like me to have a limo pick you up?" "Sure. Just have my motorcycle at the house when we arrive." Kaya had calmed down considerably and was her normal self again. They landed and got into the waiting limo. She handed the driver the address and they drove off.
4. Leena awoke and put a hand out to steady herself. She felt something cold and turned to look. It was one of a pair of sais. Beside it was a purple stone and a silver device. What the hell...? She looked up and saw Sakura with Amy, Salkala, and others she didn't know. She stood and walked over to them. "Sakura, what's going on? Where are we?" "Leena, I'm glad you're awake! We're in the Realm of Fire and we're pretty much on a save the world type thing." Leena looked at her for a second, then shook her head in disbelief. "So who are these people? And what is this thing?" She held up the cellcom in one hand. "And why do I have these?" She held up the sais in the other.
5. She sighed and sat on the edge of the bed. "I don't think I can be your pupil. There's this one spirit who has followed me almost all of my life. It refuses to move on to its final rest and has something against just about everyone I've met, including you. So I'll repay you for everything and leave you alone. I think I'm going to go back home in the morning." She sat there, silently hoping he might still teah her, even with all the problems she might cause.
6. There was a knock at Aria's door several minutes later. She walked over and opened it a little. "Elf downstairs wanted this brought up to you. It's already been paid for." "Thank you. Here's something for your troubles. And tell Pritz that I said thank you and I want to see him later." She handed him a gold coin and closed the door. How nice of him! He even paid for it! I still want him, Aria. I'll leave you alone if you just give this last one. I've been kind to you so far... No! You can't hurt him! He's my teacher and it would be wrong to do anything to him! Leave me alone! Aria, he can't help you. I'm the only one who can. Don't you believe me? There was another knock at her door. She ran to open it, knowing it would be Pritz.
7. OOC: OekakiOtaku has become thoroughly(sp) confused and will wait until someone with some common sense posts something.
8. Val sat nearby, watching the fight with interest, when Dmitri walked over to her. "You look tired. Sit with me for a while. I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about."
9. "I'll be fine in a few minutes. I...just can't tell you right now. There's too much happening. I'll be in my room if you need me. And I'm not as hungry as I thought." She went back to her room, still uneasy about almost losing control. This spirit was very determined and had been following her for most of her life. And all it wanted was the destruction of everything around it.
10. Val knew there was one way to end this battle early. She grapped Danutela's hair and planted her feet in the small of his back. She leaned back some, forcing his head back. "I'm giving a very big opening, Dmitri. Take it and don't worry about me." She arched her back more, making his adam's apple stand out. "I'll kill you, my little half-demon!" he growled menacingly. "I never was yours and you can kill me whenever you wish. I have all I've ever wanted in this one moment."
11. "I'll tell you the real reason some other time, but right now, I'm hungry." She smiled at him, still trying to hide her concern. "So what's on the menu?" I want him, Aria. You'll have to give in sometime. Just like you have with everyone else. Aria gasped and glanced around to try and find the voice. She realized what was happening. Not again! Go away! I don't want to hurt anyone anymore! If you hurt him, I'll...I'll... You can't do anything, Aria dear. You know you aren't a very good mage. You know you will never be able to defeat me...
12. Valkyrie stood back, staring at Dmitri fight. I can't do this! It goes against every thing I am! But that's only half of me. The other half would do anything for him, no matter what the consequences. But what do I do? Both halves of her being answered her at once: Do what your heart tells you. Help him. She sheathed one of her sais and drew the gleaming long sword strapped to her back. With a deep, resolving breath, she jumped into a nearby tree to get a better viewpoint. She saw an opening and jumped onto Danutela's back and simutaneously stabbing for his spine with her sai. She missed but had a good hold on his neck. She strangled him, distracting most of his attention from everything else and leaving himself exposed. "Attack him now!" she yelled, even as Danutela reached for her with a clawed hand.
13. "Uhh...could you excuse me for a second?" There were spirits in the area that would want to kill Pritz and that wouldn't make a very good first impression. She ran back up the stairs to her room and sat on the side of the bed. This can't be happening again... Every time she thought she had met a capable teacher, she ended up killing them. She thought this time would be different and had used a spell to find someone she had never heard of. But still spirits wanted to kill him, out of mere hatred for another drow. She sighed. The spirit seemed to have gone. She returned to the table and sat down again, as happy as she had ever been. "Sorry about that. I...uhh...forgot something...my money...in my room."
14. "I think I understand now." Valkyrie jumped out of the tree and stood by Dmitri, as if still in deep thought. "Do you smell something? I've smelled it before, only once, but it's unmistakable." "What is it?" "I think we should run, as much as I hate to admit it. We can't fight him." She grapped him by the arm and pulled him away into the nearby bushes. She ran through the brush and tripped unexpectedly. She jumped up and drew her weapons, surpised that she hadn't sensed anything. "Whatever you are, show yourself!"
15. "Hey, Phoenix, wanna try some of these?" "I thought you'd never ask. Where to?" "Net Navi Masters Tournament. Just let me get my stuff." Kaya threw a few things, along with her new chips, into her backpack and ran downstairs, past the kitchen where her parents where sitting. "Hi, mom, hi dad. Going out, be back in a few hours. Bye!" She jumped on her bike and rode out the front door. "Do you always leave like that?" Kaya ignored the question, more determined to get to the dome by 4:30. She glanced at her watch while at a red light. She still had forty-five minutes to get there; there was plenty of time. "If you want to register, you'd better hurry," Phoenix said. "There's bound to be a long line." "You're right." She sped along the streets, yelling apologies to everyone as she passed. Finally, she made it to the dome with only minutes to spare. "No line! This must be my lucky day!"
16. Pritz and Aria went downstairs, where Aria promptly ordered their finest wine. He gave her an odd look. "Is there something you're not telling me?" She considered this for a moment. "Yes, several things actually. You won't go back on your word about training and teaching me will you?" "No." He thought this would be a odd question to ask. "Why?" She took a deep breath. "The spirits of the dead, of any race, find me to be an ideal vessel to communicate with their still living relations through. I tend to have...mood swings, if you will, when that happens. Sometimes, even extremely violent. But if I had training that wouldn't happen right?" She looked at him expectantly. "You won't leave me, will you?"

19. Kaya growled. She was nowhere near prepared for this! She bared her claws and ready herself for the fight. DUH! she thought to herself. I really don't have to fight, but I'm gonna be exhausted when I'm done... Oh well. She sat down, drew her sais, and tried to center herself. It was pretty easy after all her training. "What are you doing?" Nayro yelled. "This is no time to sit and rest!" "I'm not resting," she replied calmly, as her sais glowed a golden yellow and her hair began flowing around her. She pointed at the middle neko with her right sai. "Graceful Killer," she whispered. The neko fell, injured. She began to center herself again but couldn't focus. Oh no! I shouldn't have done that! Now I might not be able to fight. At least that neko will be knocked out for a while. All I have to do is stand up... She tried to stand but fell almost immeadiately back down to the floor.
20. "Ms. Valkyrie, your new Net Navi has just arrived. Shall I load it for you?" Kaya sighed. This whole being rich thing was more nerve wracking now than it ever had been. "Sure, I just want to say goodbye to Fury first." Fury had been her first Net Navi and best friend. She went to her room to get her PET. "Let me guess. Your new Navi is here." "Yeah, but I don't want to delete you. It doesn't seem right somehow." "We've already talked about this. Just do it. I'm sure they'll be an even better Navi. Plus, you're bound to win more battles." "Okay." With that, she she put the tiny CD into her PET and waited. She answered all the questions then waited again. A final question appeared on the screen. "It's now or never," she muttered and pressed the Yes button. It was over. Fury was gone and she still had two hours until her new Navi was ready. She fell asleep after reading a few pages of a book from her reading list. She woke up to one of her favorite songs. "Who hit the play button?" she muttered sleepily. "Are you ever gonna wake up? I'm gettin' bored here!" "Wha? Oh," she looked at her PET. "You must be my new Navi. I'm Kaya." "Nice ta meet ya. The name's Phoenix. If ya take a closer look at that package, you'll see a few new chips for me." Kaya dumped the contents of the package on her bed and smiled. "We're gonna have fun with these..."

22. aYokano, there are three types of fencing swords: a foil, an épée, or a saber. The foil is the most common one I think, but the épée has an all-over target area when fencing.
23. OOC: It's okay, Geist. I understand. IC: Xaphania walked into Davey's room. After seeing what was happening, she immeadiately turned and left, returning a few minutes later. "Joe, come with me. I need your help." They went to her car. "Help me get him to Davey." In the back seat lay a half-conscious(sp) man. "What did you do to him?" "I knocked him unconscious obviously. Davey needs to feed but he's not strong enough to hunt. Now help me." Together, they managed to drag him back to the room. "I hope this helps." She took out one of her sais and hit the man with the hilt of it. Making sure he would be out for a little longer, she cut one of his wrists and held it over Davey's mouth. "You need to eat something, Sebastian. I'll take care of Davey."
24. Valkyrie opened her eyes, but didn't move from where she was sitting. "Dmitri, I know it's you. And I need to tell you, the reason I stayed with you is because I..." She hadn't really planned this part. She could, of course, lie, but it wouldn't help. The only other thing to do was tell the truth. Or not. "I was worried about you." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either. "Tell me who Deteria is. I still don't understand." Maybe if she changed the subject, he wouldn't care about her lie...
25. "Thank you so much!" Aria would have hugged Pritz again, but decided against it. She shouldn't push him too much until she got to know him. She simply smiled at him. "So what do we do now?"
