the reason for super saiyans or the saiyans power at all was because they were dumb...saiyans were not meant to be technological advanced. so they had power..and lots of it. they had to destroy thier technologicaly advanced rivals to get planet vegeta.. they never invented anything and had to take it from other planets. they were like our neanderthals and thats why vegeta keeps saying power is the only thing that rules n this universe..cause its the only thing that kept him alive on the planet.. supersaiyan is just an extension of the power so they can go up to more powerfull foees..its just a reaction of anger..
