1. Just before any of you start whining, I checked with Andrew and he said I could do this. Name: Craig Logan. Gender: Male Age: Unknown Country of Origin: America; Alaska Occupation: Cage fighter. (Will be explained in bio.) Fighting Style: A mixture of Tae-Kwon Do, Jeet Kune Do and Wushu. Group Affiliation: A loner Description: 6'3", with scruffy brown hair, hazel eyes, a natural ruggidity about his appearence. Has a toned physique, but is nowhere near huge in build, he doesn't need to be. He wears worn blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and wears a denim jacket with a leather jacket on top of it. He also has large black, American army boots. Personality: Angry, volatile, doesn't take kindly to confrontation of any kind. Quiet, seems to like being left alone to his own thoughts. Leave him alone and you won't get hurt is the basic message here. Bio: Craig can only remember the past 15 years of his life... all of which he has spent wandering over Canada, fighting in "cage brawls" for money. A cage brawl is a small hexagonal cage, two men enter and fight until one is knocked unconsious. The sport is illegal, but it often happens publically in bars or even on the street. Craig wins every time, not only because of his fighting talents, but because his skeleton is made of metal. 15 years ago, he was taken in by a group of scientists and experimented on. To his skeleton, they grafted a strong metal, and implanted two sets of three metal claws which he can extend and contract into the spaces between his knuckles. What he doesn't know is that he was born on a nuclear testing station in Russia... and there was a leak in the station during his development in the womb. He was explosed to a high degree of radiation, and it mutated him, but not in a bad way. His skin has remarkable regenerative capabilities, which makes his age impossible to determine. Also, his skin cannot scar, and he is immune to all forms of disease. His fighting styles, he learnt some time before he was experimented on, but he cannot remember how he learned them, he only knows that he can do them very well. He is about to make his way down to New York, because he has learnt of a group of "Pirates", that have set up the highest paying cage fighting arenas in the world. Craig plans to make a lot of money.
2. Craig looked about the metal sphere... he wondered if... is he used his powers, if he could affect the sphere in any way. He still remembered the horrible strength and control that Magneto had over his power, how, with very little effort he had completely over powered Craig. Craig guessed much of that was down to age and practice, if their powers were exactly the same as Xavier had said. Craig's mind wandered, and suddenly he realised that Aimee hadn't told him what her abilities were. He decided to ask. Craig: So... what can you do? Aimee: You mean my power? Craig: Yeah. Aimee: I can create psionic waves. Craig: So, what can you do with these waves? Aimee: Well, I can expel them from my hands, and it strikes with great force... and I can also use it to fly. I also have limited ESP ability. Craig: Sounds good. I got this electromagnetic thing goin' on... I wasn't really payin' attention when Xavier explained to me what it was exactly. Aimee: Don't worry, Magneto told me what you can do. He explained how you had a limited version of his powers... and he wants to help you develop them. Craig: I guess I'd better let him this time... I don't want another greeting wth that crobar again. Aimee laughed lightly, Craig seemed to be able to take everything in his stride with very little emotion... he was even able to joke about a time when he had been near death. Craig: So... I guess Seifer and Claire are coming aswell? Aimee: Uhuh... we left before they did, but they're not far behind. Craig: Yeah... and where are we going? Aimee: You'll see...
3. Craig and Seifer walked into the bar, which was completely emtpy, apart from Aimee and Claire, who were sitting at opposite sides of the club. Craig shrugged, deciding that he had better just get it over with, and strolled over to Aimee. He sat next to her, and she looked quietly into his eyes. Aimee: Craig... I know what you are. Craig: Come again? Aimee: I know... about your gift. Craig was very suspicious... he wondered if she was talking about him being a mutant, or about something else. He decided it was best to continue the charade for the time being. Craig: Ugh... gift? Aimee: That your a mutant... Craig was worried, his secret was out. Never the less, he saw nothing but warmth and caring in Aimee's eyes... which confused him. Craig: How... how do you know? Aimee: I know because... I am a mutant as well. Craig didn't really know how to take the news. Firstly, she had exposed his secret, but then confided one equally as powerful in him. Craig was un-easy, but chose to push the situation. Aimee: A man... he came to me, he told me about how he wanted to help me control me power... and I want you to come with me. Craig: And you trusted this guy? Who is he? Aimee: His name is Magneto. That name struck Craig like the chime of a bell. Magneto, he was the reason Craig ended up in that mansion in the first place. He could still remember the pain of having the crobar driven through his chest. Craig: Aimee... you shouldn't trust that man... Aimee: No Craig... you've got it all wrong. He explained what happened between you and him, and that it was all a big misunderstanding. He wants to meet you again... to apologise, and to explain a few things. Please Craig, come with me. Craig was very anxious... and yet he stared into Aimee's eyes, and saw no deceit. This girl was special, he could see that now. He smiled. Craig: Okay... you win. Aimee smiled, and stood up, grabbing his hand to beckon him to rise. He did, and she led him out of the back door. There, waiting for them, was a smooth metal sphere. I right-angular cut was in the top, and Craig didn't exactly know how to take this. But Aimee walked calmly, leading him forward, and climbed into the metal sphere. She smiled again once she was inside, and Craig leapt in after her. When they were both safely inside, the top of the metal sphere seemed to form together, closing the hole in the top. Craig found it obvious that Magneto was controlling this... but he felt calm. He knew what Seifer had already left, or would be close behind... and he felt confident that, with Seifer... they could take on anyone, even Magneto. He took Aimee in his arms, and they sat in silence, as the sphere lifted into the air, and took them off to an unknown destination.
4. I am definately going to see it. Yes, it does do the books justice, regardless of how much stuff was edited out. If they put in every single thing, then the films would take decades to make and last about 4 days in total. Peter Jackson has done an excellend job of cutting out parts, while still keeping the essential plot and feeling of the books. Anyway, I am going to grit my teeth and wait until Christmas Eve to see the film. Why? Simply because X-Mas Eve is the most boring day of the year, and seeing en excellent film is the best way to kill some time. Me and my friends did this last year also, and it was the easiest X-mas eve I've ever had to face.
5. That's it... I've had enough. This has gone too far. 1) Pressure, what are you playing at? Firstly, the abilities of Seifer are super speed, and very sensitive hearing... there is no way that, without his wishes that you would be able to touch him. Also, Craig, like Magneto, has the ability to make electromagnetic shields which make allow him to block any force that comes his way... a little wind wouldn't stop him, you'd just get him angry and end up lying underneath a car. That is not biased, it is general fact about the strength of Magneto's power. 2) This whole Aimee thing does actually have a good relevenace to the plot, so if yourself and Raiha would stop trying to hinder me at every turn then maybe we could get somewhere. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig: I don't need a defense. I don't care about you, or the Proffesor... or any other turd in this place. Never did I agree to be anyone's puppet, and yet here I am, finding myself taking orders from anyone at anytime, not to mention having to put up with your self righteous bullshít. I was better off with my Uncle. Now, step aside... while you can still walk. Sil: Oh, and what exactly are you going to do if I don't? Sil felt the slightest of tugs on her belt, but by the time she could reach down, her blade had been removed from it's sheath, and was floating inches infront of her face. Sil slowly removed her glove from one hand. Craig: I wouldn't... The blade, suddenly and swiftly, pressed against Sil's neck, enough for her to feel it's cold touch, but not pressed hard enough to break the skin. Sil was still, Craig was almost freakily calm, but anyone could see that inside he was boiling with anger. Without removing the blade from her neck, Craig moved towards the door, keeping his eyes, which were now glowing an eerie yellow, fixed upon Sil's. He opened the door, walked outside, and shut the door, and the blade at Sil's neck fell to the floor. Craig was pleased to see Seifer emerge from the room next to him a few seconds later. Both angry, they marched, in step, towards the exit once again. As expected, Adrianna was waiting for them. Adrianna: When will you lear-- Adrianna was cut off, as she was struck in the chest by Seifer. She hasn't even seen him move, but he had rushed forward, and slammed into her with his shoulder as he had passed. He skidded, and stopped only when he hit the wall infront of him. Adrianna was clearly winded badly. Seifer: Don't get in our way again. They made their way once more upto the front entrance to the mansion. They opened the door, and walked outside. Craig flung his arm outwards, and the door to the garages ripped clean off. Seifer sped inside, and emerged a matter of seconds later, drving one of the cars. He stopped next to Craig, and Craig opened the passenger door. He looked up, and saw Sil looking down from her window at them. Craig waited for a moment, and turned from the door, daring her to attack. She didn't move, and, with a scowl, Craig got into the car and slammed the door. The car sped out of the mansion. Seifer: I thought they said we were free to leave at any time? Craig: Xavier did... but the girls seem to think they can move matters into their own hands whenever it suits them. The next time we meet them, Seifer my friend, I'm sure it will be on far more hostile grounds. And then, we will be prepared to take them all on... Seifer grinned, his friends quiet confidence and realism was inspiring. Neither boy knew exactly what the future held for them, but both were fairly certain that it would lead them back more towards the lives of crime and violence that they had once led. That was the life that they both wanted, the life that they could survive in.
6. Craig woke suddenly... it was morning. He lying in the back seat of the car, his head was pounding. With a struggle, he pushed himself to his knees, and checked the clock in the car. It read; 10.30, which wasn't too bad. Craig tried to remember events about last night... he could recall everything upto the point where they drove into the hills. Anything after that was very hazy. Seifer was sleeping in the front seat, his back bent awkwardly over the handbrake. Craig nudged him, and Seifer's eyes opened. Seifer: Gugh... what, where are we? Craig: I think we're still up on the hill. It's ten-thirty. Seifer: You remember we have to meet those girls at noon? Craig: Yeah... hey, where's Jack? Craig looked over the boot of the car, and saw Jack sleeping peacefully on the ground behind the car. Craig leant over the poked him a couple of times, until he showed signs of waking. Craig: Come on, we'd better get back. Craig scrambled over the back seat and got into the driver's seat. Seifer shifted over and sat shotgun, and Jack clambered into the back of the car, picking an emtpy barrel out of the footspace and tossing it from the car. Seifer: How do we get back? Craig: Well, I guess we just follow the thick tyre marks you made last night. Craig started the ignition, and turned the car around. He began driving back towards town. His head was pounding, so he let go of the steering wheel to hold his head. Instantly, the car swerved towards the left, and Craig instintively turned the wheel using his ability, andguided it back on track. They came to the mansion with no trouble at all, and pulled up quietly outside the garage. Craig got out, and noticed extensive damage to the front of the car. They were going to have to pay for that... Craig shrugged it off, and walked upto the doors of the mansion. He turned the handle, and walked inside. They walked into the lounge, no-one appeared to be there. The television was on... the news, and there was a report on there that affected the three boys. Reporter: I am at the scene where last night half the contents of this van were stolen from under the drivers nose... by a mysterious force that not even CCTv cameras could pick up on. This camera, position at the corner of "Popeye's Bar" filmed two beams of energy strike the wheels of the car... and at it stopped, amazingly abruptly I might add, and back doors of the van were seemingly ripped from their hinges, as if by a super magnet. Then, if you focus closely, you can see a whisp of wind move quickly towards the van, and suddenly two beer barrels disappear. Some claim it was polterguists, and scientists are having great difficulty in explaining this phenominon. ???: I'll bet I can explain it. The three boys turned to see Proffesor Xavier before them. A twinge of fear ran through each of the boys... as Xavier looked on them with despair. Xavier: How could you boys? Not only did you commit a foolish, not to mention illegal act, but you almost compromised your abilities. Jack: Sorry Proffesor, we didn't think... Xavier: I know you didn't... I can read your minds. You will have to be punished severly for this. Seifer: No we won't... Xavier was clearly stunned by this... Xavier: I'm sorry? Craig: You heard him... you're not punishing us. We've been here only a week, and already we're sick of your crap. Xavier: I sense that you wish to leave... but not you Jack? Seifer: He can do what he wants... but we, me and Craig, we don't need you. We're going out, we'll be back for out things later.
7. Craig: Now... lets get up into the hills and drain these babies. I don't wanna' wake up until I have to go back down and speak to Aimee... not that I'll remember. Seifer: Bah, something tells me we'll remember. There seemed to be a sprirtual circle, an unexplainable bond between Seifer and Craig, to which Jack was not involved. He was their friend, but there was a something else between Seifer and Craig, but what... they had not yet discovered. Craig lifted all the metal crates and barrels, and gently laid them into the back of the boys car. Seifer leapt into the driving seat, Jack in shotgun, and Craig sat on top of the back seat, keeping the barrels in check. Jack: D'ya know how to get up into the hills? Seifer: Nope... Craig: Just drive... we'll get there.
8. Craig struck the cue ball gently, he needed only to brush the cue ball as the shot was very awkward, nearly a right angle. The 8 ball rolled slowly, always threatening to stop, but then gently rolled into the pocket. Craig let out a sigh of relief, at least with all this mutant crap he hadn't lost his touch. Jack scorned, all three boys were very competitive, and he hated losing as much as anyone. Craig's attention, however, was focused on a conversation between the two men behind the bar. Bar man: Well... that damn delivery truck is finally coming. Three days late it is, three days... they'd better give us a discount. It should be coming past any time now. Craig smirked... he, Seifer and Jack were about to get their hands on some free beer. First, he walked over to Aimee. Craig: We gotta take off... Jack: Since when? Craig shot Jack an angry glance, and he shut up, intrigued by what Craig was doing. Aimee: Okay... but meet me here at noon tomorrow, there are some things I have to talk to you about. Craig: Ugh... fair enough. Craig turned to go and get Seifer, but he felt an arm grab his. He turned, and found Aimee pull him towards her, and she kissed him. He kissed her back, and, with a smile, turned off, with Jack, to go and get Seifer. Jack: Hey, what's goin' on? Craig: You'll see... Craig found Seifer talking with Claire at the bar. He grabbed Seifer's shirt, and turned him about. He went straight to talk into his ear. Craig: Get her number or something, we're leaving. Seifer: Ugh... okay. I gotta' go Claire. Claire: Actually... did Aimee just tell you to meet her here tomorrow? Craig: Yeah, why? Claire: Well, Seifer, I need you to do the same. Seifer: You're the boss. Craoh grabbed Seifer's arm, and dragged him out of the bar with Jack. When they were outside, he beckoned them into an alley. Seifer had already grown impatient. Seifer: Okay Craig, what's this about? Craig: Okay... listen up. A beer truck is about to drive by here, delivering to this bar. I say we use our talents to our advantage... in the quest for some free alchohol. You like? Seifer: I like. Craig: Okay, good. Now, here's the plan. Jack, you bust the tires with your beam... then I'll rip the shutters open, and Seifer, you get in there and out again with your speed, and grab a couple of barrels or something. Jack, you get further down the street, this truck's gona take a while to stop once it's tires go. Jack nodded, and ran off up the street to await the truck's arrival.
9. Craig was confused now... Sil had just stormed out... even though Craig had screwed up. How they managed to do it, he never understood, but every time he was in the middle of a conflict between females, he always ended up very... very confused. Craig: Women... Seifer: Ugh... Craig, I know you like to take your time with your shots... but this is taking it a bit too far. Coming back to reality suddenly, Craig realised he was in the middle of lining up his shot. Both boys had managed to sink all their balls... there was only the white, and the 8 ball left on the table. Craig found it hard to concentrate, he kept running over the scenario in his head, trying to spot a fault. "No, no... concentrate. Sink the shot..." Craig cracked the white cue at it's base, and the black shot straight into the corner pocket. Craig shook his head slightly, bringing his vision back into focus. Seifer hit the floor with his cue, he was slightly angry, but Craig hadn't really noticed what had happened. Seifer: Nice match bro...
10. DuoMax, I must now ask that you also leave the RPG. The quality and quantity of your posts has not improved since we started... and to be perfectly honest... half the stuff you say is complete crap. Don't take it to badly, it's nothing personal. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig: Ugh... and they know about mutants... how exactly? There's been no scandal... the general public has no idea... there hasn't even been any rumours in the damn tabloids. Seifer: I think it's jealousy. Craig: I'd have to agree. We'll just see about this... Directly and forewardly know, Craig approached Aimee, who was about to get up and get another drink. Craig: Tell me, how do you feel about mutants? Aimee: About what? Craig smiled... the girl sure was beautiful. Craig: Don't worry. You sit down, I'll get the drinks in. Just one more thing... see that girl over there... do you know her? Craig had pointed at Sil... who was pretending not to notice. Aimee looked at her thoughtfully for a moment. Aimee: No... I've never seen her before. Aimee smiled and walked back over to sit down. Craig turned, and Seifer nodded to him, signalling him to get another drink for him aswell. That went well... Aimee wasn't even one of Sil's students. Craig made a mental note to plan out his order of questioning in future.
11. Tigervx, I said I wanted 1,000 troops for a reason. It's no good if we go into the battle on even terms with the enemy... what kind of challenge is that? What you did is Godmodding, and I would approeciate, therefore, if it didn't happen again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Valygar stod outside the hall's of Eomer. Is it possible... could these dragons possibly have attained control over the dark things in the world? Seifer stood next to him, looking out into the night. Strider had gone to get some food. Seifer: Do you think these dragons can be defeated? Valygar: Any enemy can be defeated... we just have to find a way. Seifer: Will the threat of Sauron ever die? Valygar: I'm sure the orcs are saying the same thing about us my friend.
12. Craig spun the cue around in one hand quickly, all his days before he came to the mansion had been spent betting on pool games, card games and darts, all of which he was very good at. He was building up quite a collection of money, which he kept on him at all times. He leant over to line up his break, when a girl caught his eye. She was tall, had long blonde hair, and deep brown eyes, almost black. She was staring at Craig, but had quickly turned away when he looked over. Craig: ...Interesting. Seifer: Huh? Craig: Nevermind. Craig hit the cue ball quite gently, it hit the deck with a light thump, which gently separated the balls, and left the cue among the centre of them. Seifer knew, as Craig did, that this shot was very difficult to respond to. Craig grabbed the chalk, and started chalking up his cue, and his eyes kept drifting over to the girl across the room, who kept on eyeing him. Jack noticed this, and approached Craig. Jack: You goin' for it? She's not bad. Craig: Hell yeah... but, lets just see where this goes for a sec... Craig turned around, and saw Seifer trying to line up a shot. His songue was out, and his eyes were pursed in concentration. He hit the cue ball in a back spin, it hit a striped ball, and sunk it into the corner pocket. Even Craig was impressed. He tapped the table twice with his cue to show his admiration. Seifer took another shot, but his ball bounced off the lip of the pocket. Craig was now lined up perfectly to sink a ball. He cracked the cue ball hard, it hit the ball, which flew into the centre pocket, and the cue ball bounced off the rim, stopping near another of Craig's balls. Craig rested the cue on his shoulder as he planned out his next shot. Seifer: Oh come on man... I can't work this slow. Craig: And that's why your gonna lose. Seifer grinned. Seifer: Oh yeah? We'll see.
13. Eomer had called them all to Edoras, and they sat in the great hall. Eomer was upon a grand seat at the head of the room. His guests, and there were many, sat in a semi-circle around him, on fine wooden chairs with scarlet cushions. Only one stood, a giant creature that came to this meeting only because his land was in danger. This creature, eldest of all living things, was the Ent; Treebeard. They were silent, even Eomer was uneasy. He was old now, very old, but he was wise and caring. His people, and the people of Gondor both adored him, and so it hurt him greatly to see his people troubled. Taking a deep breath, he stood, and surveyed the audience that surrounded him. For a moment, his gaze rested upon Valygar, the young prince of Gondor. He was staring with concern at the floor beneath his feet, deep in thought. Eomer took a step forward, and clasped onto his belt with both hands. Again he took a deep breath as he began to speak. Eomer: Friends... now the time has come. We have no choice, but to commit ourselves to the destruction of these creatures of fire. I am prepared, if I must, to send my people out to War. If only it were that simple... We must formulate a plan. Elsyan, a high elf, and very beautiful in appearence, stood, and Eomer beckoned her to speak. Elsyan: One of the Uruloki rests still within Moria. The other servant... Master Treebeard has told us, has taken home in the Fangorn. The leader remains still within Mordor. We have many men... but still, we face dragons. These dragons are mighty, they are intelligent, and they are cunning. Somehow, we must single them out, and eliminate them. Now, the young prince, Valygar, stood. Everyone in the room who had beheld King Elessar before his death, immediately recognised the significant similarity between them. However, Valgyar, in his eyes, still retained the innocence and youth of a child. He took a step forward, the sword Anduril at his side, as always... since his father's passing. Valygar: My people live in fear... the White City is in ruin... and I cannot take anymore. I have journeyed long and far with my two closest friends, Strider and Seifer, and I shall take these two, and any others who shall follow me, and attack the mines of Moria. They are filled with goblins, orcs, and that damned creature from Mordor. The journey shall be perilous, but I am prepared for it. Eomer: Thank you, my young friend. My scouts have informed me that a huge party of goblins lies in wait outside Moria gates at night... you shall have to fight your way through them to get in. They are estimated at over 1,500 strong. Valygar: Then I need an army of only 1,000... but they must be strong and fearless. Will any of you go with me into Moria? There was silence for a moment, as Valygar and Eomer glanced hopefully over the room. Soon, one elf, who had not been very noticeable before, stepped forward, standing next to Valygar. Valygar looked at the elf with quiet respect, and the elf stared back, silently, then spoke. Cael: I will fight with you, Valygar half-elven. Valygar: Thank you. Elsyan: As will I. One by one, members of parties started to rise and walk into the centre of the circle. Eventually, a group of 11 men and women, either elves or men, stood together. Valygar, Strider, Seifer, Gurthang, Elsyan, Valen, Tarlain the Drow, Talgaia, Cael, Laitina and a mysterious figure Krimlorn. Eomer stood before them proudly, as Elrond had done with the Fellowship of the Ring years before... Eomer: I will send a company of 500 men with you. Valygar: And I shall bring 500 men also. They are camped only a few miles outside of here... we came prepared to fight. Prepare yourselves friends, we leave at dawn. To Moria!
14. Well... already I think we have enough to start. I'll leave the sign up's open for a while incase any more people want to join. So, keep your eyes open, thread will be up shortly.
15. Sauron died, and with him went the King of Witches? but the other eight Nazgul; Khamul the Easterling, Adunaphel, Akhorahil, Dwaw of War, Hoarmurath , Indur Dawndeath, Ren the Unclean and Uvatha the Horseman still lived. In their hatred and despair, they toiled in the fire of Mount Doom, and they crafted the three mighty Uruloki; the Dragon?s of fire. Into the creatures, they poured every strand of will, every portion of malice, every twinge of hatred, and they took their own lives to create them. The leader of the Uruloki remains in Mount Doom, but he send out his others across Middle-Earth. One has taken home inside Moria, where he rests, and is guarded by many Goblins. The other roams the lands of Rohan and Gondor, where his terror is known, and the world of men suffer under his tyranny. Gandalf the White has left the shores of Middle Earth, and King Aragorn Ellesar has passed on. The kingdom of Gondor is ruled now by Queen Arwen, and the kingdom of Rohan is still under the rule of Eomer, who has become a fine, wise king. A council of men, elves, dwarves and even Halflings has been called to the halls of Edoras, where they shall debate and decide about the fate of the world, and what action shall be taken against the Uruloki. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I know it's not very descript, but I want to leave most of the surprises for the RPG itself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here?s what you need in your sign up?s: Name: Age: Race: Weapons: (3 max) Bio: Description: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Valygar Age: 24 Race: Half elven Weapons: - Anduril; Flame of the West (Aragorn's sword.) - A long bow with a quiver of 30 arrows. Bio: Valygar is the only child of Aragorn and Arwen. He is prince of Gondor, and he wields the sword of his father, who is depicted among legend as Gondor's greatest King. He cares greatly for the world, and often spends time wandering far with the Dunedain. His skill with the sword is great, and his horse; Snowmane, is truely mighty, as it was the colt of Shadowfax. Valygar is adapted for the wild, he is able to look after himself, and other in the wild places of Middle Earth. In essence, he has many of the skills that his father possesed. He is loved and trusted amongst his people, and he journeyed with great haste to Edoras when he knew of the council being held there. He has the keen senses of an elf, as well as their immortal life span, but looks very human to onlookers. Description: Looks basically like Aragorn from the "Fellowship of the Ring" film, but he is taller, slightly more slender, and is less rugged. He also has elven ears, which is the only feature about him that distinguishes him as half elven. However, these are hidden by his long black hair.
16. --: Child's play. Seifer and Jack heard a voice, but before either of them turned to face the direction of the voice, the large weight they had both struggled with lifted into the air before them, and spun quickly above their heads. They turned, and saw Craig standing there, holding one arm out, fingers extended. Craig: Not bad eh? Seifer: Cocky swine... Jack: Seems a bit limited compared to what you did in the danger room. Craig: Yeah... I don't think I'll be doing anything like that for a while... Seifer: Why not? Craig: Well, firstly, I can't anymore... and also, I was completely fatigued after that session. The Prof says my powers were enhanced by my anger... or something. Seifer: I know how you feel, I was completely shattered after the danger room experience. Jack: You guys both did great though... I wish I was in there with you... Craig and Seifer exchanged glances, they were both thinking the same thing. Had they been given the chance, they would have gotten as far away from the danger room as possible. Seifer: Hey... are we allowed down into that city nearby? Craig: There's a city? Seifer: Oh yeah... didn't you see it on your way here? Craig: No... I din't know how I got here. Either way, I was unconcious. Jack: The city can't be too far away. We could ask the professor and walk down... whad'ya think? Craig: Sound like a plan... Seifer: Maybe we can pick up girls. Craig: Well, maybe we'll just plonk that bar back on your neck and leave you here. Seifer: Aww man, you saw that? Craig: Hell yeah.
17. With his last remaining arrow, Strider put an arrow through the head of a Warg. Only two orcs remained riding the wolf creatures... and so Strider put away his bow, and drew Anduril. He ran forward, forcing his way through the onslaught of orcs, making his way towards the last two Wargs. He ducked under the blow of an axe, and struck the attacking orc in the back of the chest with his blade. Then he blocked a sword attack coming for his forehead, and shoved the attacking orc away, and he fell, taking a few of his comrades with him. Strider charged onwards, and eventualy he hit the small clearing, loitered with Warg corpses, and the two remaining cavalry. One Warg immediately got up on his hind legs, roaring. Strider slashed the creature across the belly, and, when it fell forward, slashed the other way, taking off it's rider's head. Several archers whizzed past his head... they were not elven. Strider: Lalaith... archers on the hill! Lalaith heard Strider's cry, and looked to the small hill to the northwest... where several orc archers were firing many arrows. Strider turned back to face the last Warg. It charged, and Strider dived out of the way as it was about to hit him. The Warg stopped, turned, and roared. It's rider also let out a cry, and Strider dove forward, plunging Anduril through the Warg's chest. The rider, however, was prepared. The orc leapt off the dead Warg, drawing two small axes, holding one in each hand. He cried angrily as he charge into battle, Strider blocked the first swing, but the other axe was brought forward, cutting his right arm. Strider shoved him off, and punched the orc in the face. The orc fell backwards, and Strider drove Anduril down through the orcs chest. Strider: Earendil! Strider ran back into the army of orcs, slashing wildly with his sword, progressing back towards Lalaith and the rest of the fellowship. As he went, he picked up any arrows from any Warg corpses he passed, as he knew they were his. He only collected five arrows, but he knew they would be valuable.
18. Craig, in a brief lapse of concentration, trying to subdue Andrew, had allowed the two psychics to get a hole in the door. He watched in horror as Alex ran through... and Andrew picked up on him. Craig: You fool! Get out! It was too late, Andrew was already in mid flight, bearing down upon Alex with claws beared. Craig had only one option... he concentrated on one of the claws, and threw it quickly with his power. It hit Alex across the chest, and he was thrown back out of the door, only a split second before Andrew reached him. Craig then concentrated, and the doors closed again, mending to Craig's will. Andrew, unable to stop his momentum, turned, hit the door with his feet, and pushed off, flying back into the centre of the room. Craig sighed in relief... now placing a fraction more focus towards the door, making sure that nothing happened like that again. Now, he tried desperatly to wrap a claw around Andrew, but he was too fast and agile. Ken's blasts were shooting everywhere, desperatly trying to land a hit, but Andrew was too quick to react. Seifer was, quite effectively, running in random directions around Andrew, which would momentarily confuse him, and allow Craig to bring the claw that much closer. Xavier spoke into Craig's mind. Xavier: Craig, if I can get Sil down here to disable Andrew... will you let her into the room? Craig: Well of course... that would eliminate the threat now wouldn't it? As long as we don't get any more futile heroics... and make sure she doesn't kill him.
19. Strider drew an arrow, and notched it into his bow. He focused, the Wargs that the orcs rode were indeed mighty. Strider was still, calm, and he released the arrow. It pierced the Warg through the neck, and it collapsed to the floor, throwing the orc atop it several feet forward. Another arrow went into his bow, and he shot, and it hit another Warg between the eyes. Strider was loyal, he knew what he would have done in this situation had he been leader... but he trusted Lalaith, and so fought on, waiting patiently for his orders. Strider shot again, and another Warg his the ground, an arrow through it's side. There were many, and the other member's of the fellowship were concentrating on the more immediate threat of the orcs and trolls. Strider had always been one to concentrate on the underlying threats... as those were usually the ones who he had the most trouble with. He was relaying on the others to keep the orcs from him, as his concentration was focused entirely on the charging Wargs.
20. Xavier's voice suddenly came over the comm. He was obviously distressed. Xavier: Craig... you shouldn't have kept the doors shut, you put everyone's life in that room in jeapordy. Craig: Sorry prof... I just figured that if I let him out, everyone else would be in jeapordy. I didn't want him to be able to reach you lot up in the control booth. Xavier smiled under his hands, he was actually very impressed by Craig's degree of power. Xavier had actually been trying to force the doors open with his mind, but Craig had managed, in desperation, to keep it shut. Xavier would have been able to disable Andrew with telepathic blasts... but the threat seemed over for now. Craig: I'm still not opening the doors proffesor, just incase he's hostile when he recovers. Xavier: Craig, let me into the room, and we can get him restrained. He may suffer from concussion, it is essential that I see him now. Craig: Okay... you know best. Craig released his control on the doors, and opened them using his power. Xavier smiled from the control booth, and prepared to come down... Suddenly, Andrew's eyes snapped open, and he sprang to his feet. His heightened gaze focused on the door, and he leapt for the opening. Craig, in a burst of concentration, forced the doors shut once more, but Andrew was quick enough to wedge his claws between the two metal doors. Now, it was Andrew's strength versus Craig's control... and Andrew was winning. Inch by inch the doors would open slowly, but a blast from Ken's visor knocked Andrew to the ground, and Craig was able to jam the doors. Andrew, although controlled by some unknown rage, still had all his memories, and he knew how the doors were being kept closed. He turned, and focused on Craig... who was now helpless, with all his energy directed to keeping the doors closed. Andrew charged on all fours with amazing speed, but as he was about to hit Craig, Seifer shot past, grabbing Craig, and pulling him out of the way. They both crashed to the floor, as Andrew skidded to a stop. Another blast from Ken, and Andrew was knocked back once more, before he could begin another charge. The three boys, trying to disable this raging beast, were starting to get fatigued. Craig was almost overwhelmed, Xavier was trying to force his way through the door, and Craig was relentlessely trying to keep it shut. Craig, not knowing how strong the Proffesor really was, felt that his disability would make him an easy target for Andrew. Seifer pulled Craig to his feet, and Ken kept his gaze fixed upon Andrew. Craig realised he would have to push that extra mile, if he was going to keep the doors shut, he would have to get where Andrew couldn't reach him, and he would not be a disadvantage to the boys. Right now, on the ground, he was just a sitting duck that Ken and Seifer had to protect... Craig concentrated now on his suit, he wanted to raise it, get it up into the air, so he would be out of the way. He was having to reach deep inside, finding power that he couldn't tap before. He thought of the new friends he had made, and how much their safety meant, and suddenly the energy began to flow, like a dam broken at a precious fracture point. The door, which had started opening through Xavier's power, was forced shut again, and Craig lifted himself easily into the air using his metal body suit. Craig was pleased with the results as Andrew leapt up, but couldn't quite reach Craig's feet. Craig was now no longer a factor in Ken's, or Seifer's fight. The power Craig found, in his anger and desperation, he could use to everyone's advantage. He noticed the four broken claw shards on the floor of the danger room... maybe he could use one to tie Andrew up?
21. Craig stepped into the centre of the danger room... his eyes scanned the walls... the ceiling, the floor... all metal. Craig hoped this would somehow work to his advantage... maybe he could learn to pull himself towards them, or something along those lines. Andrew stood close to Craig, he was the least confident, not actually having any developed powers at the moment. Seifer stood at Craig's other side, head whizzing around, taking in the room. Ken stood back to back with Craig, hand pressed against the side of his visor. Xavier: Computer, initiate beginner training programme. Four people... Prepare yourselves boys. Andrew, seemingly without will of his own, hunched forward, now leaning of all 4's. Seifer bent double, his chin inches from the floor, like a sprinter before a race. Craig stood tall, arms apread out, palms parallel with the floor, and Ken kneeled down, right hand pressed against the side of his visor. 4 small cubic sections in the wall opened, at quarter points from each other, and 4 giant metal wires, clawed at the ends, came towards the four boys. Xavier: They won't kill you boys, but they may hurt you a bit if you can't disable them. Seifer was the first to act. He started running about in all directions, his designated claw finding it almost impossible to track his movements. Craig held out both hands towards his claw, and let his power push out, towards the claw. He kept his eyes open, trying to concentrate only on the claw... but it wasn't working. Every so often the claw would jolt a degree to the left or right, but it kept making steady pace towards Craig. Ken was also having trouble, he kepy having the urge to close his eyes when he was supposed to fire his beam... which would instantly stop the ray. Andrew had taken to acrobatically flipping around, and in one outstanding move, had backflipped onto the lerge metal wire as it swooped down to catch him. He was now trying to rip off the hard metal covering and explosing the wire inside. Craig closed his eyes, and instantly he could see the claw reaching down for him. Concentrating, he opened his eyes, still focusing on the claw. Now, the claw seemed blatently clear infront of him, and everything else was a blur. He had it now. With a push from inside him, the claw was thrown with great force straight into the wall, crashing into two seperate pieces. Even Xavier was surprised at Craig's strength... he had hardly tried, and yet the claw had been thrown into the wall with such force that it snapped. Now, Craig was battle ready, and he turned around, preparing to help his friends.
22. Xavier waited patiently as the team went and changed into their suits. One by one they returned... and Xavier became anxious as he knew Darwin would be waking up at some point. He wanted to send someone to meet with him, and help him find his way around. Eventually the entire team, besides Darwin, stood before him. Xavier: Let me now explain a few things. The danger room is ready, and I will be sending four of you in, in just a moment. As I must stay and supervise the training session, I am without a guide for the new student Darwin. Would anyone like to volunteer to be his guide... only for today? The students looked about edgily, they all wanted a chance to go into the danger room, some of them especially wanted to be the first to be picked. Sil, noticing the male's stubborness kicking in in all of them, eventually stepped forward. Sil: I guess I'll have to do it. Let the men have their toys... Xavier smiled. Xavier: Thank you Sil. I would have liked you to be one of the first in, but so be it. Now... I think I shall send in... Xavier stared about the group, and quickly his eyes fixed upon Andrew, who was clearly the largest in the gang. Xavier: Andrew... would you like to go in? Andrew: Sure... I guess. Xavier scanned the group again, and he noticed Craig and Seifer... half confronting each other, half trying to concentrate on Xavier. Xavier smiled thinly. Xavier: Craig... Seifer, how would you two like to go in? Craig: Suits me. Seifer: Why not. Xavier: Excellent... and... Ken! Would you like to go in with the others? Ken: Ugh... okay... but I still don't know how to work this visor thing. Only now did it become clear to everyone that Ken had a yellow bar across his eyes, with a red visor along his iris'. He did look a bit paculiar, but at the same time, really cool. Xavier: Don't worry, I'll explain on the way down. The rest of you, as I take the boys down to level B2, you will get off at B1 and wait for me... I shall take you all to the control room to watch the boys. You will all get a turn.
23. btw, Craig looks just like Gambit in the original Xmen... atleast with his suit on. Oh... and now the short but inevitable list of people who must leave because they cannot read or write: Orien_Xel darkfreak 0304 Darncoolguy1 Please, do not complain about this, but it's for the best. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig came out of his room, carrying the metal rod Xavier had said about. It could extend at both ends from 2 feet to about 6 feet in length... which of course was controlled by Craig's power. There were 5 rectangular metal disks inside the coat, which must have been what Xavier spoke of. They were thin and sharp at the edges... perfect for cutting. Craig walked back to the metal door, and noticed a kid who wasn't there before. Craig was almost blinded by his gleaming silver hair. Craig: How much does it cost to power that head? Seifer: What was that? Craig: Nothing man... just stating how you literally light up a room when you enter it. Seifer: Oh... real original, I've never heard that before. Seifer and Craig grinned, they could already feel a rivalry sprouting, even though each of them knew little about the other's power.
24. Just throwing smething in the air. This RPG has nawt to do with my other X men RPG's... Wolverine is Logan in this one, not Matt. That's all dead and buried. ---------------------------------------------------------- Craig looked about the others, they all seemed pleasent enough. Craig couldn't help but let his mind wonder... who would be the strongest out of them when they had all developed? Adriana seemed to have the most control of her power at this time, hell, Ken, Andrew and Jack weren't even sure how theirs worked! But... thinking about what Xavier had said, Craig was quietly confident that he would have amazing power when he had developed... and he liked that prospect. The doors to the cafeteria opened, and Xavier walked in, followed by Logan. Xavier was smiling pleasently, but Logan looked angry... Craig decided he was most probably like that a lot. Xavier: Now that you've had a chance to get acquanted with each other... it's time to give you all something. Andrew: This doesn't sound to good... Xavier: Oh, I'm sorry, let me explain. I have told a few of you, that while you are in my school, you will be part of a team called the X Men. It is a good way to help you develop as mutants. As such, I have made special suits for you all, with a few features that will help you out. Please, follow me. Xavier turned, wheeling slowly out of the room. Craig, clearly curious, headed off quickly to see what was happening, Andrew alongside him. They headed along to the metal door that went to the supposed "danger room." Xavier touched two fingers to his head, and several bleeping noises were heard at the door, then, with a hiss, it opened. There was a single small corridor, which had wierd looking suits in pods at the sides of the room, and an elevator at the back of the corridor. Xavier: Is everyone in? Good... well Craig I may as well start with you. Your suit is there. Xavier pointed to a metal body suit, that seemed to come up across the forehead, and it had a brown trenchcoat. Craig was pleasently surprised, it was more or less the kind of thing he'd have chosen if he had the choice. Xavier: Your suit is metal, very light but very durable. I don't think I need to tell you what you can learn to do with that suit... until your powers develop. Craig: Is that how the Magneto guy flies? Xavier: No, not exactly. He is able to create electromagnetic shields which give him the ability of flight. Hopefully, you will also be able to do that at some point... also, there are a few surprises inside the coat for you to hone your skills. A metal rod, and two metal disks... they will help you to focus, and also give you something handy to fight with if you should need it. Craig: Hmm... sounds good. Xavier: Go and put your suit on, and then come back here... I'll show the rest of them their gear.
25. Kain stood near the edge of the forest clearing by the cabin... his deep blue skin and white hair would have made him stick out like a sore thumb had he not been a Drow, and have a calmness about him that allowed him to blend into any surrounding, much like his elven cousins. He had watched, with disgust, as throghout the meeting, people had bitched and argued and showed off... trying to make a dominant presence among the group. Kain: How are we supposed so succeed... we have but a group of squabling children. Smeagol is a creature of craft, and these rabble are loud enough to be shot from Angband. Kain longed for the water, Drow loved the water like elves loved the trees. However, he still found happiness and tranquility among the trees of Mirkwood, as they were also part of his nature. Fox approached, his silent hobbit feet making no noise to human ears, but to a Drow it was almost deafening. Fox: What troubles you? Kain turned, his face displaying it's usual calmness, but his voice was hoarse, angry, and it scared Fox. Kain: We cannot find Gollum... he will hear us three days before we reach him, and he will always have an advantage. This... band, has no discipline. They argue and *****, all the while Gollum can listen, and plan his route carefully, so as to avoid us.
