Jing Li peered through the screen of her mecha, and saw all the Instrumentalists ascend off. ?Bastards.? She then looked at Prelude to Harmony, about to land next to it. But unexpectedly, a new mecha was overhead, landing in front of the virtuous Prelude. It?s voice intercom turned on, so that everyone could hear. ?Listen up! I?m the General. I see from the look of things that you all are Singers.? The remaining mechas, including Jing Li, remained soundless. ?I?m going to call the base, and have a transportation vessel pick you up.? The General remained in the sky, fumbling with the base for transportation. Everyone who had a mecha was soon out of his or hers. When Jing Li made it to the ground, she looked around the vicinity. Much of the ceremonial was destroyed, and the sky and sun were now covered with gray, a miserable and disheartening state. She then glanced at the others, and recognized the brunette-haired girl and silver-haired guy that were at the arcade- but where was the third one? Jing Li walked slowly over to the familiar guy, who was standing next to Harmony. ?I?ve seen you before,? she whispered, but he didn?t appear to pay attention; he seemed stunned and bemused of all that happened so far. Jing Li took one step closer to him as he was still staring at nothing. She noticed his shoulder, bleeding immensely. The blood trickled down his arm, and dripped off his middle finger, into a growing pool of red liquid. Jing Li was about to ask about it, then stopped herself. The brunette ran over, and stopped next to them both. ?Zhi! Are you okay?! Your arm- Oh?.? The girl noticed Jing Li, and they stared for a few seconds. ?Who are you?? she asked. Jing Li hesitated. ?I?m, uh?my name is Jing Li.? Another guy approached them all, but he was unfamiliar. The girl remained muted, and then spoke. ?I?m Ryo,? she said, pointing to herself. ?And his name is?Zhi?? asked Jing Li. ?I?m really Zoltin,? said the guy, looking over to them, his eyes emotionless and barren. Jing Li then looked over to the unfamiliar male, waiting for him to identify himself. He put his hands behind his head. ?I?m Gene,? he said, then eyed Jing Li. "Lt. Gene." And right at that moment, a massive, full-size vessel was hovering overhead, casting a shadow over them and the mechas. The four looked up, the wind propelling energetically. The vessel landed a distance away from all the mechas, and the gate opened up. ?That?s your ride, now get on in!? shouted the General. After all the mechas were obtained in the rear, the four Singers then trudged to the ship as well. Jing Li kept glancing at Zoltin, who seemed -and was- despondent and emotionally wounded. Jing Li then remembered her parents, making a secret promise to come back for them, when all of this was over. ?I have a duty, and I?m going to hold it until all is done?Stay strong, Mom and Dad, wherever you two are.?

"What the **** is going on? Damn!" exclaimed Jing Li as she turned around to see the explanation of why there were so many horrendous screams. She was close to her home, watching people race off in every which way. She also saw the several mechas, some fighting each other in combat. "Thought this was a fricken peaceful town..." Jing Li impulsively ran home, and clobbered the front door open. "Mom! Dad!" she shouted, but no one was home. But she felt that she couldn't hang around for them, she wanted to help however she could. She sprinted to the back of the house, and then opened the backside door. The rest of the way sloped down a mount, and though she hadn't been down that way before, she darted down the hill, and slowed to a silver, gold-trimmed mecha. Taped on the right leg read a note. "To our seventeen year-old. Your present that we've held for nearly two years- your mother and father." Jing Li shook her head swiftly, and ripped it off the leg. She climbed to the top, and into the back of the head, with the entrance closing behind her. Unexpectedly, she held her head with her hands, to try and alleviate the throbbing headache. As she closed her eyes, she saw someone, examining all the controls and supports. ?I wanna be a Singer, and help all that?s good!? said the small child, enthusiastically. Jing Li opened her eyes again. "Who? Was that me...?" She ran to the middle, and tossed off her vest. She didn?t know what she was she was doing, but she trusted herself to follow through. ?Eloquent?Serenade,? she thought without reason, and then wired herself in. ?Statistics ongoing, initializing method for encounter and resistance, attacks ready to launch, all systems set out,? said Jing Li, going through a few switches and dials. ?Reminiscence code 636282045.? The screen shone, and a rumble started, showing that the mecha was in process. She moved Serenade?s arms as an analysis, and then rushed over to where the ruined ceremony was. She saw seven mechas now, all doing something. Two were messed up badly. ?Singers and Instrumentalists? The Singers!? Jing Li remembered who they were- a small portion of her memory that she could understand. And that moment, she devoted to help out the Prelude to Harmony and all that were on it?s side. But she didn?t know that it would be the same guy that she saw walking on the sidewalk earlier that day.

Jing Li shrugged at the DDR, and exchanged money for tokens, not seeing any reason to not try it out. She popped the tokens in, and the game started up. After one try, she had the hang of it, and began to laugh at how much fun she was really having. "Left, up, up, down, left and right, left and right..." She kept playing it on and on, then soon grew short of breath, and hopped off. A small boy was looking up at her. Shy, even to smaller ones, she just smiled and had begun to walk off, with him still standing there. "You're very good at that game," he said, stopping Jing Li from leaving him. She turned around and thanked him, although she thought otherwise about how well she played. The boy held out his hand. "Can I have some tokens to try it out?" She knew she would feel bad as to say no to him, so she searched in her pocket and handed him some tokens. "There you go," said Jing Li, and the boy thanked her. She then realized that she had given him her last tokens, and all her money was spent. But as she looked at the boy, he was happy as he started DDR, so Jing Li just left the arcade. She felt as if she were supposed to be doing something, but she pushed it aside and browsed through all the stores in the mall. She remained alone, looking at different clothes, keeping some in thought, so she could buy them when she had more money. Soon, she finally remembered what her mom had said to her. "Don't forget, today is the big ceremony!" Jing Li's eyes widened a bit, and she scurried out the mall and back outside. "I don't know where this ceremony is, so I'll go home first. At least I can get directions from my parents." As she walked home, she took her time to observe all that was then happening, and it felt like everyone was rushing past her.

Jing Li walked around the area, her hands shoved into the pockets of her sweater-vest, the wind softly blowing. She was looking around the area, trying to get a good look at everything around her, hoping to remember the places- but nothing was recalled. Everything she looked at seemed new and unfamiliar. She soon grew bored of just looking around, so she glanced at places to go. "I could also use a drink," she thought to herself, a little thirsty. She came across the mall, from what her parents had given her directions to. She viewed the area from a distance away, checking out it's appearance. "Guess I'll go in here," she mumbled softly, and approached the entrance gradually. "They'll most likely have soda, or something..." Upon entering the food court, she directed herself to buy a soda, as planned. Not knowing what to do though, she timidly sat in a table by the corner, watching a few others eat what they had bought, chatting away. The voices crammed together as one as they echoed in the mall, and Jing Li listened as she sipped her soda quietly. She eyed every detail in everything, but avoided looking at people who could see her. Her soda lasted shorter than she expected, so she threw the empty cup away. Not seeing any reason to be in the food court anymore, she shyly kept pacing into the mall. "I bet I used to be a loud person, considering the picture in my locket," Jing Li thought. "But I guess getting to know myself from the start can be fun, too." Looking down at the floor while walking, in a daze, she then heard the sounds of beeping and lasers- the arcade. She checked her pocket. "I still have a little left, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to play one or two..." she thought, and nodded to herself. She walked in, looking at what to play, then saw three others standing around a game- a girl, and the two boys she saw earlier while coming from the hospital. Smiling to herself as she saw all the games, she entered in further. A big one called Dance Dance Revolution was right in front of her. "Dance Dance Revolution?" she questioned, more to no one than herself. She looked at it, and squinted, not sure of it. "Maybe....I guess you jump on the squares...hm. I wonder if I liked this game..."

Jing Li was in her house, but she planned to not stay for long. She wanted to go out and see if she could bring back the past she had, to see if it was all really just locked away. She was sitting on the couch, listening. Her father and mother were talking about today and past festivities, about mechas and pilots. The conversation then slipped to a new one. "Jing Li, you'll soon be seventeen," said her father. He walked over to her with a tiny box in his hand. She looked at him, then gently took it. She opened it to reveal a tiny gold necklace, with a locket. Imprinted on the heart, was a tiny red rose. "Open it," said her mother, and she did so. Jing Li then saw a picture of a young girl with pigtails and bows, smiling as if there were no tomorrow. "That's you." stated her dad, his eyes shimmering with happiness.Jing Li stared at it, then gave a weak smile, so she wouldn't displease them. "How...did I get into a coma?" she asked her parents. They looked at each other, then back at her. "We don't know," whispered her mom, trying to comfort her. "We found you unconcious." They were all silent for what felt like eternity, then Jing Li headed for the door. "I want to take a look around town by myself," she said, almost insisting. School wouldn't be a problem, anyway. Jing Li dressed into white bell bottoms, a low-cut gray shirt, a hooded pale blue sweater-vest, black shoes...and the necklace. Her parents didn't want to argue about her leaving, so they gave her a little money, and explained to her where everything was. "Don't forget, today is the big ceremony!" her mother called after her.She spoke as if the coma were only a dream, and never happened. That was the way Jing Li wished as well. "Ceremony?" Jing Li thought to herself. She kept it in thought though, deciding to go to the main business district that she was told about. As she walked, she soon was passing between crowds, listening to their voices of some laughter. She felt a small amount of determination as she wandered about. And she could not help, but slightly smile herself.
-
The hum of murmuring voices and clattering feet soon filled Jing Li?s ears, and she gradually opened her eyes. She squinted to the intense light above her, and finally focused on her surroundings. ?Where?am I?? she thought to herself, looking around in bewilderment and confusion. She saw that she was in a small white room, lying on a hospital bed and in a hospital gown. A nurse came in unexpectedly, and saw Jing Li sitting up. ?Oh my, you?re awake,? said the nurse, startled. Jing Li didn?t understand. She sat there, words unable to be spoken. The nurse pressed a button on the wall; and minutes later, a doctor came through. ?Ah Jing Li Hyobanashi,? he said, and walked over to her. ?Who?are you?? asked Jing Li. ?I?m your doctor,? he replied. ?I know this may seem awkward, but you?ve been in a coma for two years now. Your family has been worried about you. Nurse, go and call the Hyobanashi residence, and tell them she has awakened.? The nurse bowed, and exited the room. ?What?family? I have a family?? Jing Li wondered out loud. The doctor then looked worried. ?You don?t remember anything? Not even your birthday?? he asked, and she shook her head. ?Memory loss?? he muttered, and he looked back to her before walking out the door. ?Your family will be here soon, so sit tight. If you were wondering, you?ll be seventeen in three days...? As he closed the door behind him, Jing Li looked out the two-story window next to the bed. She pressed her hand against the glass, and she felt one warm tear roll down her cheek. She wiped it away softly, and the nurse then brought her something to eat. Afterwards, a man and a woman appeared through the door, tears in their eyes. The woman hugged Jing Li, her shoulders shaking with sobs. Jing Li felt paralyzed, for she didn?t know what to do. ?Honey,? said the woman. ?The doctor told me everything. You might not remember me, but I?m your mother.? She withdrew to look into Jing Li?s eyes, which were hurt and clouded. Jing Li couldn?t remember her! She couldn?t remember any of them. But she felt she could believe them, and was then struck with a pang of thirst to reclaim her memory. They checked her out of the hospital, and then drove away to their house, talking of great festivities that day. Jing Li saw two boys walking on the sidewalk, and then glanced at the sky. Her eyes began to grow hot, but never did another tear collapse. Hope that was okay, as the first part.

Well, this is just another book of mine that I'm working on. Tell me what you think of it. (This is only the first chapter, but it later goes into action and romance) To think that all your life, you've wanted to die. And then, in one day, you have the chance of a lifetime to go off and forget all you've done, all you've seen, all you've believed and cherished. All gone with the help of nine- the eight that show you who you really are, and the one who shows you what a true enemy is, who can also be yourself. Afterdeath of Me I had felt immobile. Faster and faster, the darkness swallowed me in, engulfing my sight and lungs, until I felt dead. I couldn?t breath; I couldn?t feel anything. I was numb, and it felt like my skin was crawling off my body. I could not take it anymore, and I lifted myself up. Again I was able to breath; the sizzling water was rushing down my face, and it cooled as I gasped for air. Calming myself and rubbing my eyes, I finished bathing myself in the tub. I was getting dizzy from the steam, so I hurried out. I dried myself off with the towel, and patted my hair dry. I looked in the mirror. I find my features weird, for some reason. I have kohl black hair that reaches my back, and my eyes are the color of jade, and kind of big. I never really go outside but for school, so I am kind of pale. I guess you could say I?m a Goth, but an abnormal one. I was not always depressed and dramatic. I never wore all black, and I definitely never did drugs. If so, I would have dishonored my family?s name. Speaking of family, mine is very different. My parents estranged when my younger sister, Ashyu and I were little ones. She was the more sensitive one, crying when one little argument happened. I used to weep, when I did not know better; but now that I?m older, I?ve learned to keep my feelings bottled up. Sure, the occasional ?boohoo? would slip out, but now I don?t even care. My father had remarried, and I have two stepsiblings-Saboru and Mamimi. I also had one half sister, Gina. I always called my stepmother by her name, Sari. I guess it became a habit. There was also my fanatical school. I have had plenty of friends- Kati, Bunni, Bri, Alisa, Josiah, Byosho, Shogun, Shobu- those are just some of them. I guess you could say it?s pretty neat. We don?t have uniforms, unlike the other schools, so everyone expresses himself or herself, while staying in dress code, of course. I guess we could use some respect classes. It seems that we belong to a clique, in one way or another. There are the preps, the athletes, the rockers and skaters, and the nerds. I don?t know which one I belong to, though. I like to wear jewelry. I?m on the track team. I have a guitar and skateboard, and I guess I have about twelve books in my closet. I think I should make a new group- Miscellaneous. Other than the guitar, I absolute love the piano. I have been playing for twelve years straight. I love the rich sound as I make new songs every day. I feel as if the keys can speak to me if I talk to them properly. But learning how means learning with great amount of effort and patience. Neither this skill, nor does any skill, come with ease. I feel that you have to practice the dream. In the next few weeks, it would become my sixteenth birthday. I wondered how I would waste it. Right then, I wanted to set off where no one else has thought of for his or her bicentenary. And if they have, then they were one of few like me. What I wanted, for my birthday, was to die. I wanted to seek out my perfect fatality and live it out to it?s fullest. Why? Because I?m fed up here. Everything is the same, everyday. It?s gets strenuous knowing that this is your life, and that everyday will be the same, in one manner or another. That?s why I want to progress on. I want to become something else. I walked into my room. I shared a room with Ashyu. But she, Saboru, and Mamimi have all gone to their friends? for the weekend. I valued my private time as much as I could. It?s hard to be by yourself when there are six others living with you. I read my usual manga and anime books, and then checked my email. I rarely received anything, except the occasional invitation to a party. Parties were always happening at my school, and because I hung out with different people, I established different group?s invitations. As a partier, I always went to every single one. I read the email aloud on my computer, listening to my own voice as I spoke. ?Hey, Akemi. There?s a ?Just Because? party, and I am inviting you. It?ll be at Sandshoe Park, this Saturday. Hope you can make it. J - Kilara.? For some reason, I didn?t feel like going to a party. I wasn?t in any mood to hang out with people. ?People,? I said, and I oddly, yet instinctively cringed. I shut my computer down, and drew in my sketchpad. I liked to think of nothing and scratch the pad a few times. With that, I saw the picture in my mind, and kind of ?projected? it onto the paper. More and more lines came up, and pretty soon, I had drawn me, bloody and hung from a rope. I decided to add thorns to the rope, and then add a background, which looked like a portal. When I was completely finished, I immediately slammed the sketchpad shut. The picture looked just in the vein of me, and it was sickening. I then shoved it out of my mind, and stared at my clock. Twelve-o-five. It had taken a lot longer to draw the picture than I had expected. Tired, I crawled under my blanket, and slipped in and out of sleep- weary, and a bit annoyed. I turned my lamp off, not knowing of the disquieting day at school that was to come. (Well, that's the first chapter. I know it's boring, but there's a lot of stuff being foreshadowed)

Writing There's Something About Gavynn [New Series]
Eli replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
That is just totally awesome. I love it- like your sexayness. ^-^ *Am still LMAO* Can't wait until the next one comes out- keep it up! -
When I feel excluded, I actually like it.Call me crazy, but a little alone time at school once in a blue moon is relaxing- especially if it's a stressful day. The only reason I don't like it, is when I do get that time, people other than my friends come up and just start off a conversation, then ask for my name and lunch period. Pretty ironic if you ask me. >.<

I am the one and only neat-freak out of my family, friends, and a bit of my neighborhood.I'm so organized that my room is color coded and everything is in alphabetical order.Sometimes, I even stay up until 3:00 am just doing every single chore possible. Then I wake up at 5:00.And that's not all--to this day,I still ask my pig-friends if they want their rooms cleaned...for free...and do them too!!Yes I know I sound weird, but I guess that is just who I am.(Don't even get me started on school...^^)

My thoughts are combined over The_Ghost , ChibiHorsewoman's and Japan_86's.I've thought about reincarnation for about a year now, and it would be fun to be something/someone else. That's a reason why a can't wait to die.But while I'm still here,I still want to go to the moon,go sky diving, learn to speak Japanese, and so much more! Why just wait to die when you can do all this stuff to make time fly?...Which leads me to a question-Why is that man lives like he'll never die and then die like he's never lived...?

I have an engraved "third eye" on my forehead.I was born with it. It's not huge or anything, but it's so dark and noticable. It looks like the pupil of your eye, so people think I'm a born demon or something... My wrists have also been slit. Not deep enough to kill me,though. One was with me and my friend...she accidentally dropped the knife while we were cooking dinner together. The other was with me and the razor. It dropped and I tried to catch it,but it came out the other way. I still have two light brown scars there. :p

Mom:I thought Billy was sick, but then I picked up the book next to him.The title read, "693 Ways To Fake Sick."

My other siblings complain that I'm too old to watch Yu-Gi-Oh!, even they don't even get how the show works. So ironic.Anyhow, I think that it would be cool if they put in a little bit/keep more darkness, but nonetheless (like duelist22), I'm practically fine with the show. (I had this crazy idea that they should make a much darker version of Yu-Gi-Oh!....It would be like an extreme blood and gore violence version of Inuyasha.Just for us older people too, of course.I wouldn't mind that for a show! ^^But that's just me and a crazy idea of mine...*sigh* :p)
