I imagine that I'll like college life more. More freedom, it seems like. I really want to be out of my house. I find it funny that when I was a freshman I looked at the juniors and said to myself "Man, I wish I were there." Now, being a junior, the upcoming two years look just as long as the original 4 years I was facing as a freshman did. -Justin
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve There's NO way to proove God exists. I don't care who you are, I don't care if he came down to you personally, you still can't proove it. (Aliens come down all the time apparently and we still can't proove that, get my point)... howeveer because God is a belief (which in itself means Mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something (Dictionary.com)... ie: Accepting it's truth, though there is no proof. Belief rests on faith, which means Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence (Dictionary.com) ... again saying that these are mental discissions based on nothing factual, or logical, but on you're own self interest.) And beliefs cannot be prooven right or wrong (meaning God cannot be prooven true, God cannot be prooven false), for they are beliefs. Thats their point.
As I said, I can prove that God is more likely to exist than not. Now, I wouldn't expect you to convert ove that, but I can still do it. Logic never saves anyone, though. And as far as Pant-whatever: I am a zealous, freakish, phanatical follower of Christ. Baptism in the Holy Spirit does that a guy. One morning, you wake up just an average someone who believes in Chrst. When you come home from a Spirit-filled service that night, you come home a different person than you went in. It's great, I appreciate your compliment. As for my calming down: You decide who it is better for me to follow, you or Almighty God. -Justin

Jesus is Lord. He is God, He is one with God. He is the Word.(In the beginning there was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.) John 1:1 Jesus is called the Son of God because He was sent from Heaven to earth as a baby; but make no mistake; Jesus is Lord. Now, to the African village question: The Bible says that all people will know God, in some primitive way. Through their conscience, I'm assuming. Now, if they ignore that gift from God, then they're mre subject to judgement. However, I doubt that their judgement would be as harsh as someone who heard the truth, but turned it away. I'll give you my position on errors in the Bible--they do exist. There are a small handful strewn across the Bible here and there; but none are of doctrinal signficance. They're all spelling errors, or somehing like that. Now, you'd think that with the text being over 2,000 years old, that there would be plenty of discrepencies, but with over 24,000 supportive historical documents having been found, no discrepencies of any dctrinal significance are found. 24,000. That's more than any other ancient texts can boast. Oh, and love can exist in you for your enemies and those who do evil to you. Just because you don't have it, doesn't mean God hasn't given it to me. -Justin

Truth is absolute, my friend. I don't know why everyone is on this 'subjective truths' trip, but it's a really big load. "Oh, I'm high so the sky is doo-doo brown, and if anyone tells me otherwise, they're talking about what is true for them not me." Now, that isn't the exact same thing as the question of God, but the principle is the same. How can I expect anyone to learn the truth, when they don't even know what truth is? I can't. But God is a God of the impossible, improbable and the unexpected. So I still pray the same prayer for this backwards world. I don't have time to finish this post as I want to. God be with you all. -Justin

A world government would not be a good thing, in my opinion. However, when two major bombings happen, I wouldn't use the analogy you did, Orien. I don't think it's unreasonable to investigate them as though they were possibly done by the same group. -Justin
Can you scientifically prove that God exists?
Not %100, but I can show that it's much more likely for God to exist than not. I believe in God, obviously. I've stated my beliefs many, many times. If you don't believe in Him, I'm sorry--I pray that you find Truth one day. -Justin

Yes, the buttons are self-explainatory. I suggest you just go look around. Read the rules, above all else. Welcome to Otaku Boards. -Justin

*sigh* There are other weight topics here, people. Let's keep things that are related in the same thread, please. -Justin

I was born and raised right in the middle of the traditional South. Racism is something I've always dealt with. The way I see it, God offers the same gift to everyone. What's good enough for Him is good enough for me. I don't tend to judge very much by skin color. I try not to at all, but my upbringing is tainted with that--in spite of my dad's best efforts. -Justin

If she's waited 4 1/2 years, I think she can afford to wait a little longer. Sacrifice is an important part of marriage, and hers would be the lesser of the two sacrifices. If you get married when you're not ready, it may cost the both of you a spouse. -Justin

Mainly to All You Wiccans-How do I "Come Out"?
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve What does he look like? Does he have a beard and wear all white like everyone says? A deep voice, one that echoes when he speaks?
To ask that kind of question is to be ignorant of what you question. God is not a man, and is not in the form of a man. He is an omnipresent Spirit.
I know alot of Christians and Catholics and whatever. No one has ever said God came to them. You must be one hell of a special person if God took time out of his busy schedule to pour water on you.
God speaks to humans through the Holy Spirit. This is biblical, and anyone with a true heart of God has experienced it, whether they know it or not. I'm no one special(you should know as well as anyone that my 'cold water' statement was figurative.), all I did was want eveything He's willing to give.
I really have alot of questions for him that I've been asking over many of years and he certainly hasn't come down to answer them for me. Next time you see him, tell him I'm waiting... and 'till he, or that Jesus fellow, does come down and speak to me personally, well he doesn't have my faith in Christianity.
"Seek and ye shall find...ask and ye shall recieve" You seek, you'll find. You've asked of me, you'll recieve that which you have asked. -Justin -
Mainly to All You Wiccans-How do I "Come Out"?

Hahah, actually, God did come down and show me that Christianity was the right way. If he hasn't done that for anyone else claiming biblical Christianity, they should pray for Him to do so. Otherwise, what personal evidence and comfort do they have? Unlike what most people assume, I did explore many other positions before God came down and poured a bucket of cold water on me. I was quite dead-set against Christians--I found them arrogant. But there is arrogance in all kinds of people. And to AzureWolf, and assuming that you are a Christian, I give this advice. I give it as someone with experience in the area: Don't look into other things. If God has never given you the Holy Spirit as your evidence, then pray for that. Jesus Himself said that the most effective prayer is enduring prayer. If God has given you the Spirit, then I shouldn't need to say this. The reason I say that is not to 'save your soul'(though, that is important). But mainly because those who grow up in th faith, and keep their childlike faith, have the most awesome power, authority, calling, and ministry. Hang tough, kid. Now, back to the actual topic... Logan, you say you've grown up in a Christian home. I'm going to go into my fantasy world and hope that your definition of that is the same one I have. Having said that, I don't fret over your choosing Wicca--your parents will pray for you, as will I when led of the Spirit to do so. Being that you've come from a Christian background you've no-doubt already heard the sermon(God created us to be with Him; our sin seperated us from God; sin cannot be removed by good deeds--going to church, doing things half-way, blah blah; paying the price for sin, Jesus came down, died, and rose again, conquering death forever; everyone who turns their life over to Jesus will have life eternal; Life eternal means life forever in Paradise), that should be old stuff to you. Therefore, because you've heard the Gospel, but turned it away, you're subject to God's judgement(notice I said His, not mine. I have no clue what God will do, He has not spoken that to me). But I hope your mother's prayers are answered. In the mean time, do whatever you want to do. You know about God, so it won't be by preaching you come to know Him. -Justin -

Just to speak from a Biblical perspective, Satanism is no worse than anything else. Either way, your punishment is the same. One sin is ultimately equal to all others. Now, I do agree with Sara(and whoever said it first); if you're not completely sure of yourself, don't say anything. It'll bring undue hardship to your family. -Justin -
Who needs help in their relationships?

There are hundreds. Pity-parties, the lot of them. Your effort to help is appreciated, though. -Justin -
Wow, whatever merit this topic did have is now gone. -Justin

The only thing that pulled me out of severe depression was Jesus Christ. Call it what you will, but I don't come home every day wanting nothing but to blow my brains out anymore. I turned my life over to Him first. Then, and only then, was it possible for Him to begin doing His ultimate will, and pull out of the junk I was in. Depression included. You see, once you accept Him, He sends you the Comforter that He promised--the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is just that, a comforter. All that I had to do was turn from my life of absolute self-pleasure, and turn my life over to God, meeting Him half way and doing my part, and He handled the rest. Anyway, may the Lord bless ya with mad abundance. -Justin

Ah, sure. I used to lie all the time before I got saved. To start with, it was just a fascade to impress(both others and myself). Then I lost interest in it, but kept it up just so others wouldn't think less of me. Then I got saved, and had to stop. I remember it was particularly bad here, because I pretended to be an entirely different person than I actually was, and then had to tell everyone who I really was. He's probably just embarrassed about not having one. If I were you, I'd just let it fade from coversation. He'll probably admit to eventually anyway, and your friendship will be much better off. -Justin

It looks more like some very cheap photo editing to me... Or, as Chris sad, just something shiny in the statue's eyes. The only signs I pay much attention to are the ones prophecied in the Bible itself. Not the Catholic Bible, not the Mormon Bible, not the Jehova's Witness Bible...the one with the teachings from the ancient judges and prophets, and the one with the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, only. I don't know much about any other forms of it, and the Holy Spirit has never inclined me to. In short, if this is a sign from God--great. I'm sure God has used it in His own way. But as yet, He has given it no significance to me. -Justin

I actually agree with that also, James. And I do know people who instantly shun a band when they become popular. That is, of course, dumb. I really don't cling to one specific genre of music myself. I've always leaned toward alternative, but I'll listen to whatever I like. Shutting something down just because it's a certain type of music is really dumb. But of all the genres, Justin's Music Genre of the Moment is....Scremo! -Justin

Eh, she's OK, as those kinds of acts go. Though, I must agree with whoever said that it stinks when all these awesome bands work so hard and never get half th recognition pop artists do. But that's why they're pop. :) -Justin

NO LIFERS FOREVER!!!! w00t!!! If we were on v1, I'd be a No Lifer again...wait, no I wouldn't. I'm a Moderator. Oh well... Just because these ranks are determined by post-count, that does not give you the right to spaminate the boards. Please don't. -Justin

Haha, wow. Boxing has always been a passion of mine also. I've just never taken it up. Though, my brother did want to for a time... God be with you. :) -Justin
