*Triceramon snarls, and lowers his head.* Tricera: TriHorn Attack! *Rocaceramon steps aside neatly, and Triceramon slams into a tree, wedging his horns into the trunk.* Rocacera: Enough, we don't need to fight anymore! Tricera: *unwedging himself* Only fools and cowards prefer peace and tranquility! Ginny: Is that so!? *Triceramon eyes this little human critically, but ignores her. He turns toward Rocaceramon again.* Tricera: Mega Dash! *Rocaceramon grasps the horns in her "hands", and flips him over her head. The Digimon slams into a toy block tower, which promptly crumbles. The kids back away, but then pause as they realize--* Elec: The babes--the babes are gonna get hurt! *Ginny, followed by Alice, race past the tumbling tower, barely avoiding Triceramon's thrashing tail as he locks claws with Rocaceramon.* Gryf: GINNY! (Whatever happened to the worrywart?!) Bella: ALI--you dummy, come back! *Bellamon tackles Alice and shoves her to safety. Gryf races on, and begins to glow.* Gryf: All RIGHT--'bout time! Gryfmon, digivolve to..... Tyger: TYGERMON! *The winged tiger steals Ginny out from the avalanche and uses her wings as a shield for the Fresh Digimon. Triceramon, meanwhile, has managed to slash Rocaceramon with his horns.* Tyger: If you will excuse me...*puts Ginny down, and races in Triceramon's direction; her claws extend into sharp razors*...Double STRIKE! *Triceramon instantly turns on her, grabbing her tail and throwing her back about forty feet. A groggy Tygermon gets back up again.* Tyger: Any time the rest of you want to help... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anotherwords, I didn't want to digivolve anyone's Digimon without their permission. ;)

*With a groan, Elecmon awakens, rubbing his sore head. He is startled to see a large spiked lizard recieving congrats; Raidramon is nowhere in sight.* Elec: What....? *Everyone turns at this.* Shiro: Elecmon's ok! Elec: *to Baemon* You challenged him? Bae: *nods* And won. Bella: *under breath* Of course, that's why you're still alive, duh. *Alice (Alin?) nudges her playfully.* *Elecmon looks downcast.* Elec: Then...*he looks at Primary Village in one large glance*...this all belongs to you now. Take care of the babes well... Bae: Excuse me. *Elecmon pauses in mid stride.* Bae: Before you leave, I just want you to know I fought so that I could present this land to you. After all, you know best how to take care of it. *Elecmon looks surprised, then a large grin splits his face; he takes Baemon's, er, "hand" gratefully.* Elec: Truly you are wonderful and have been trained well! *He bows to a surprised Frankie.* Frankie: Well, um........ *Everyone else echoes Elecmon's sentimants, leaving Frankie blushing. Baemon gracefully dismisses the cheers, and points to a newly formed egg.* Cera: What is it? Mari: Dunno, but it's hatching! *Everyone watches quietly. A tiny Chibomon pops out.* All: Awwwwwww.... Chibo: *whimpers ashamedly* Ginny: Oh, what's wrong? Chibo: I not mean to 'tack so meanly. Hayato: What? You mean...? Elec: That's Raidramon. Or was. *Chibomon crouches in its egg, not wanting to come out.* Chibo: Towwy, toe towwy.... Ginny: *picks him up* It's all right, little one... Gryf: Whaddaya mean it's all rig-- Ginny: He said he was sorry. *cuddles Chibomon* I forgive you, cutie. Shiro: Ok, you know what, before I toss cookies over here, how about we get some answers? Chibo: Huh? Shiro: Who put you up to it? Hayato: Yeah! *growls* *Chibomon burrows in Ginny's arms in an effort to hide.* Chibo: I dunno! I dunno! *bawls* I dunnnnnooooooooooo!!! Ginny: *glares at Shiro and Hayatomon* Hey, back off! He said he was sorry, and he doesn't know, so leave him alone!!! *Gryfmon looks popeyed.* Gryf: Yeesh, so much for being a worrywart. *rolls eyes* Ginny: *hands Chibomon to Elecmon* Here, you can raise him to be a good little guy, I'm sure. Elec: *beams* Yes, I will. And thank you ever so much, everyone! Especially you, Baemon. *Baemon nods.* Alice: Well, since we're still waiting for a few more members, why don't we stop and rest for awhile? All: OK! Elec: And you can help with the babies! All: Ok! Elec: You can feed them... All: *a little less enthusiastic* Ok... Elec: Burp them... All: *even less* O...k... Elec: Clean up their cute little messes... Cera: Hold up--there's a fine point between helping and ah... All: Ewwwwwwwwwww.... Chibo: *giggles*

*The two Rookies leap back as Raidramon's attack charrs the ground in front of them. Out of the corner of his eye, he spies Elecmon limping toward him. Knowing a defeated Keeper means a new land for him to rule over, Raidramon lashes out with his horn, throwing Elecmon against a tree hard. Ginny and Gryfmon, Cera and Marimon, Frankie and Baemon, Shiro and Hayatomon with Alice (Alin?) and Bellamon fast behind them, stare at the one sided fight between Elecmon and Raidramon. The battered protector staggers to his feet in one last attempt to defend the Village.* Elec: Nine...TAI-- Raidra: Electric Byte! *Latching his teeth in Elecmon's back, he hurls the battered Rookie down* Gryf: All right, enough's enough! Raidra: Stay out of this! *Baemon steps into view.* Bae: Try and make us. *Raidramon narrows his eyes at them.* Raidra: You have been warned. Elecmon is defeated, and this land will now be MINE! Ginny: Elecmon! *The limp figure doesn't move. Raidramon stands over the figure and snarls deeply.* Bae: I challenge you for this land. Raidra: And I accept. To the death! Bella: Erhm...that's kinda bad. Bae: To the death. Mari: No kidding. Frankie: *thinks to self--why do they care for my Digimon? They hardly know it!* Baemon, you can't! *Regardless, the battle began.*

(I read an AWESOME fanfic about this, so elements of that might have snuck in, double check with Sephiroth). As I recall, Lucrecia (sp?) was a scientist of a sort, loved by Vincent, back when he was a Turk. Theirs was a forbidden love, as she was soon married to Hojo. Hojo was caught up in his experiments, and tested *truck roars past* on Lucrecia, causing her to give birth to *thunder clap*, someone we all know well. When Hojo learned of Vincent's love for Lucrecia, he mocked him, then somehow got ahold of Vincent (I think Hojo shot Vincent, then dragged him to the labratory in the ShinRa mansion?), and performed hideous operations on Vincent, least of which is the metal arm. Vincent blamed himself for not saving Lucrecia, for supposed she died in child birth; he also blamed himself for her child (explanation means spoilage). Thus, he locked himself in a coffin under ShinRa's mansion, forever living in a tormented nightmare, awaiting the day he could wreak vengance on Hojo.

I couldn't tell, really, I couldn't, Cera. ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GL: Trouble. Gryf: Oh geez, here we go. *GinnyLyn turns a slightly lighter color, and feels wobbly.* Cera: Uh...you ok? Mari: Is she supposed to be that color? GL: *mumbles* What kind of trouble? *A red and purple furry shape flies past them, following by a large black and blue shape.* Elecmon: *spots the kids* Help! Cera: *points descreetly* That kind. Elecmon: *leaps in air* Super Thunder Strike! Raidramon: Lightning Blade! *The two bolts cancel each other out, and Raidramon leaps at Elecmon.* Raidra: I will not tell you again-- Elec: Nor will I! Leave...NOW! *Raidramon bares his teeth, and lunges.* Raidra: Electric Byte! *Clenching around Elecmon's front right leg, the Armor Digimon tosses the Rookie to one side.* GL: Ya know, perhaps the others didn't say the Primary Village after all... Cera: *puzzled* What? Mari: If you're looking for a way out of this-- GL: Yes! Yes I am! Gryf: Then GO! We'll handle this! GL: Are...are you sure? *There's no time to think as Raidramon turns on the two Rookies.* Raidra: THUNDER BLAST!

I am on the thought process that everything happens for a reason. (Echoing what many others already said), I think it was already known by a Higher Power long ago that I was going to wake up this morning, make as many tips as I did today, type this post, etc. Yes we have free choice and yes that can slightly alter what happens, but I think that everything ends up the same way anyway. Think of it like this: You know it's a Thursday. You knew what you were going to do before Thursday got here. Now on the one hand, it may go as planned. On the other, it may not. Regardless, you know how the day will end--with you going to sleep, waiting for Friday. Then there are those rare cases where an event happens that makes you wake up and realize there's a lot more to life than you thought (the whole taking certain things for granted). What it all comes down to is that everything happens for a reason. Everything that has happened to me has made me a different person. It's how we learn about life. OK, done :blah:. :D

Ginny Lyn: Well, here we are at Primary Village. *Gryfmon swishes her tail.* Gryf: Where is everyone else? GL: *shrugs* Who knows. *looks nervous* They did say Primary Village, right? I don't want to get lost... *Gryf pats her hand.* Gryf: Sometimes I think you should've had the Crest of Worry rather than Peace. GL: Yeah, I should really stop stressing myself out.... *A quiet pause. They see some Birdramon and Biyomon fly overhead.* GL: ...erhm, Primary Village..............right? *Gryf shoots her a Look.* Gryf: They'll be here, don't worry. GL: I'm trying not to...ever since Kontan left... Gryf: Hey, we're not all gonna leave, so don't....*trails off* GL: Yeah, but we're here all by oursel--what are you looking at? Gryf: *points* That dark shape behind the large blocks. What is it? GL: *looks nervous again* Not sure...but I hope it stays there...the last thing I need is a fight on my hands. Gryf: I say "Bring it on!" GL: GRYF! Don't encourage it! *The dark shape leaps at them.* Gryf: Um....too late? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No, I'm not as Joe-like as this first entry may make me seem; have patience, my chara will improve. ;)

I like how this is picking up again. Sorry for my absence. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They rested, unsure of what to do next...except for rest. Ryu kept his sword in his hand, standing guard over the two girls. Ragear, exhausted, and whining of hunger, nestled into a tree's above ground root spread, snoring uproarisly. Shiva was nearby, hiddened. No one noticed the snake sliding silently down the tree toward Ragear. With a sound like the wind breathing, it slipped around Ragear's neck, then began to tighten. The snores exploded into choking as a panicked Ragear woke up, struggling. Silva leapt up, landing on her ankle, and fell forward, against Ragear. The snake reeled back, and bared its fangs. Siren screamed, and made a motion of barring something. The snake's fangs dug deep into Silva's arm, and the girl shrieked in alarm. Ryu heard this and, taking everything in at a glance, screamed like a wounded animal as he sliced off the snake's head. "Silva! Oh heavens, NO!" Ragear choked and gasped for breath as he tore the serpent's body off his neck. He then turned to Silva, whimpered. "Mizz 'Ilvie 'urt?" The snake's head was still embedded in her arm, but Silva pried it loose. "Actually...." She looked puzzled, then turned to Siren. "What did you do?" "Huh?" "For some reason, my arm felt like a rock when the snake bit me, and look, there's no marks anywhere to show anything." She held her arm out, and they saw it was true. "Thank you Siren," Silva said. There was another shriek as the severed snake's head began to bounce, then grow three tails. Spikes radiated from its body, and its face was a mess of eyes, fangs, and horns. "Foolish creatures!" it hissed. Then it struck. Not at them, but at the ones in the nearby bush. "KAM!" The small dragon squealed and twisted frantically. It changed shape several times, more of a spastic twinge to break away from the demon creature than anything. Riven appeared and tried to get close to Kam, but the tails knocked her away. Ryu swung his sword in a wide arch, gashing the creature on its neck. The wound healed instantly. "What?!?" Ryu hollered, as he fought the creature. Siren resummoned her Golem, who tore Kam from its mouth, ignoring the poisonous fangs of the creature. Silva drew an arrow, then aimed at one of the many eyes. Bullseye. Screeching, the creature staggered backwards. "You WILL return, trecherous Siren, you WILL!" With that, it disappeared in a cloud of oily smoke. "Kam..." Riven breathed. The tiny creature was twisted into a tight knot from the pain. "Can't you...can't you turn into, I dunno..." She sniffled and pounded the ground. "Change! Something....Kam please!" Silva edged close. It hurt her to see any animal in pain, and so, she reached out a sympathetic hand to Kam. The instant she touched his body, a bright light shone. Something like poisonous steam rose from his body, and he uncurled, sleeping deeply. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ginny posted, Ginny posted! (and brought Cera in again ;))

The day had started out normal enough. Due to her odd friendship, mind, her only true friendship, Silvia had gotten good at hiding stuff. Or living creatures. Like Pearl. Pearl could easily be mistaken for a small white horse. Maybe a white deer. But the long pearly horn that extended from her forehead was evidence she was neither. She in fact was a gentle natured unicorn. Silvia had just managed to purchase enough food to last the next few days, and she was returning to the temporary campsite she and Pearl had. She put the food near the fire, then called to her friend. "Pearl..." The white creature was staring hard into the forest, in the direction of the town. Silvia thought it odd--Pearl didn't normally act like that. "C'mon, Pearl, let's eat." The unicorn continued to stare. Suddenly, two men, obviously hunters down on their luck, burst on the scene. "There it is!" one yelled. "Youse right! We get the head offit we'll be rich!" the other chortled. He drew his dagger and stepped forward. Terrified, but thinking quick, Silvia reached for her spear, leaning against a tree. She knocked the wind out of one with a quick stomach blow, but the other was too fast for her. "Run Pearl!" The unicorn bit on the girl's tunic and dragged her with, back toward the town. "No, what are you doing, you'll be seen!" Pearl tugged insistantly, and the two ran back to town, the second hunter after them. The pair slipped into the crowd, unnoticed at first, until.... "AIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" "Oh me golly, what is that!" "A monster, kill it!" "It be a wee yooneecorn, sirruh, and it horn can pureefy watur!" "Someone grab it!" Silvia clutched Pearl's neck in a panic, unsure what to do. The unicorn spotted the hunter hurtling toward them, and narrowed her eyes. "Riding on the pearl light..." and instantly, Pearl had wings. Spreading them wide, she reared up, emitting a horse's scream. Shaking terribly, Silvia dropped to the ground, unsure what to do. That's when she spotted the first odd creature--apart from Pearl. It was a dragon, and it had a girl with it. "HELP!!!" Silvia screamed.

Truly, Sephiroth was, IMO, one of the best enemies, because he was a tragic enigma. Most other evil villians I have "run into to" just don't seem to measure up somehow... Kefka was, to me, a laughing lunatic. Nothing terribly impressive. Basically, I looked like this --> O_o' and waited for the moment when the much odd man went away.
-
By all means, let's keep it going. The only problem for me? I am without any creativeness at the moment. WRITER'S BLOCK!!! >_
-
Depends. If this turns out like the last Zelda RPG (The Dark World one), then I might not post. However, in the mean time... Name: Silvia Age: 16 Race: A renegade princess Zora. She doesn't believe in magic, despite the fact she commands water well. Ganon ordered her family and kingdom people enslaved and killed. She was the only one to survive... Weapons: Ice Arrow, hookshot

Heh, I like ramming into Ultimate Weapon and watching him fly back. That's how you know he's not ready to fight. It takes a while for him to find out where to hover, but ramming him takes him longer to get there. Chase him until he stops, then watch to see if he is building up some sort of orb looking thingy--then ram him. His final hover is near Cosmo Canyon, where he crashes near that forest.

I dunno about made up ones, but my brand new dog, Fred--he's plenty eccentric. I swear, if there was a way to use his excess energy as an alternate power source...! Take a look at how deceptively innocent he looks. : purplelau : (BTW, has anyone been able to use the purple laugh smilie yet?!?)

Well, Calumon is a pretty high strung, loveable little cutie who loves to play around! I think that describes me pretty well. ^_^ (sans the wild ears of course)
Originally posted by James Ahh yes! I remember now... I should read the book. Even remembering bits out of the movie is weird for me...perhaps because I saw it at a relatively young age. I remember the main character kind of being followed around by that rabbit...like it was waiting for him. Is that right? The main character (from what I remember), seemed to be really timid...and he was always talking about death and stuff...
Oh, you're remembering Fiver, the one who could see the future. The main character is actually his brother, Hazel. Beyond those two and Bigwig (Thylali), the movie didn't keep much with the book's hero charas. I remember Dandelion and Blackberry and Pipkin (Hlao-Roo) and all sorts of stuff. And Kehaar, the cussing bird! Blackberry: *to the injured Kehaar* We can help you-- Kehaar: *obviously irritated* Piss off! :rotflmao:
Originally posted by James Yeah, I saw the movie a long time ago...and I do remember a few specific parts of it. I'll have to rent it again, just to see it...maybe I'd have a better understanding now that I'm older. But it was very scary when I watched it. Almost every part of it seemed really sad... And that black rabbit, it was like a dream/hallucination that the main character kept having...I forget what it symbolized. But it kept kind of following him wherever he went. The ending was scary too, when the general went into the warren and was killing everyone...very freaky. Not really a little kids' movie now that I think about it lol.
The rabbit you speak of is known as the Black Rabbit of Inlé (lupine for Moon). He is like Watership Down's Grim Reaper-comes for rabbits when it is time for them to die. To be honest with you, the book is MUCH better than the movie. At least to me. One of my fab parts of the movie was the animation of the creation story--but it got gruesome fast.
-
Even though the book Watership Down is long (400 pages) and about rabbits, it is definitely worth a read! Especially the bit about the tyrant General Woundwort. The only thing is, in order to get the full effort of why Woundwort is so awful is to read how the bucks begin their journey in their search for freedom. (In a way, I guess you could say it is a parody--well, um, maybe that's not the word I want to use, but *shrugs*--of the events leading up to and involving the American Revolution.)
-
Oh yes, most definitely the first one--I must say, the art is simply beautiful! My fab pic is the one where the TRex herd blocks the traveling procession of Bix and company. The puddle reflections...wow! Or maybe the waterfall city--that was another good one. Or the Gallimimus/erhm, what dinosaur, starts with O? jousting place. Or...

Let's see here... --the Redwall series is good --Watership Down, yes! --the Prydain (o dear, sp?) series by Lloyd Alexander (Book of Three, Black Cauldron, The Castle of Llyr, Taran Wanderer, The High King) --A Winkle in Time series Sometimes I like to break with "traditional" books and venture into my comics collection--like Calvin and Hobbes or FoxTrot. Crichton's good ('specially Jurassic Park and Sphere). I remember reading Christine by King. Man, never thought a book could scare me until I read stuff by King. Lord of the Flies is....interesting...to say the least. The building and collapsing of a "primitive" society, but everyone should read that at least once.
-
I did find some codes, but when I plugged them in, they weren't worth jack! As soon as any little ol' battle started, Seph's stats immediately turned red and he'd drop dead. Then he'd turn into Vincent for some odd reason--still dead, mind. Just for once, I'd like to play as him--and if you really want to, you'll just have to make yourself happy with Ehrgeitz. (A fighting game with him in it, but it isn't terriblE terrific as far as fighting games go...)

Hey Ad, I'll keep you in mine if you keep me in yours---I'm going that exact same route right now too.
