2. (Oh I couldn't help myself) Angel is one of the best shows there is. The theme song . . . ahhh . . . And really, they (Joss and the spawn of satan Marti) gave Angel a better personality on Angel. Can you say "sense of humour"? However, I came in on Angel last season . . . about the same time that I started watching Buffy. However, my favorite episode is Sunday's (the most recent one. "Spin the Bottle"). "Tabula Rasa" all over again, except without the screaming. And a very pissed off Connor, who I don't like. However, I finally got my old Cordy back ("My hhhhaaaiiiirrrrr . . .") which I'm happy, even though we were stuck with pre-vamped Angel (a.k.a. Liam) And I have to get a correction. The "test" that Wesley is talking about is the (ugh. Sissy has stolen my Watcher's Guide for Seasons 3 & 4, so I can't tell you.). Anyway--it's a test for Slayers. A weakened Slayer (under the usage of drugs) is stuck in a place with a vampire (most likely insane) and if they pass, well good for them. If they don't pass, well, you get the point. AND, this test is only taken when a Slayer reaches the age of 18. And, as a little bit on inside info, the first eppie where Cordy is in it all the way after she left, is called "Slouching toward Bethlehem", taken from a poem which describes a "Second Coming", a.k.a. the Apocolypse that's arriving. Quite cool. The memory that Cordy has is, I do believe, the vision that Lorne had when he read her. Heh, Lorne's the best. ("I know I'm supposed to be unconscious during this part, but can you believe these mooks?") But, however, I don't really like Gunn and Fred together. They're too . . . sex-crazed, really. Several times I have seen more of Fred than I've wanted to. Ok, I'm rambling. Seriously, I am. I'll just shut up now. BTW--yes, it is Pylea. And, FYI--if you're wanting to know, it's Quor-Toth. And Lorne is from Pylea. I know too much . . . HOWEVER--what's the whole story with Darla? I know that Angel staked her on Buffy, but she was on Angel. My sister explained something like that Wolfram & Hart brought Darla back, and then had Drusilla vamp her, and then her and Angel made like bunnies and Darla staked herself when she realized that W&H were using her, leaving Connor, but is that right?
3. Michela grinned from where she was standing in Summer?s direction. Through the use of a cleverly placed spell left by Michela and her somewhat-wicca self, Summer was now dozing on the couch. Oh she was going to be so pissed when she woke up . . . oh well. Michela shrugged. Any plan was better than Summer?s plan. Michela picked up the black dress Summer had been wearing (she changed into a spare button-up shirt and sweats that she had found in a drawer) and slung it over her arm, before waving a hand around the room. Automatically, all of the stuff she had brought disappeared. Somedays it helped being one of D?Hoffryn?s girls . . . She tipped an invisible hat to Summer?s prone form, and with a slight pop, Michela disappeared. -*-*-*- Summer awoke with the killer headache from hell, as the sound of a door slamming shut awoke her from her dreamless sleep. She groaned softly to herself as she rolled off the couch to the floor to peer around the edge of the couch. Saethi was standing, a quite brown and crunchy shirt in his hands, looking around the apartment, a frown etched on his face. Summer could understand why. She thought, for a brief moment, to leave him in peace, but important matters needed to be discussed. She stood. "Saethi." He turned, defense posture on the ready, but his face softened a little and he relaxed when he saw Summer. Then raised an eyebrow at what she was wearing, and where she was. "What are you doing here, Summer?" Summer ignored the question, and nodded at the door. "So, no mutated killer Smurf at the doorstep, waiting for me to come outside?" Saethi opened his mouth to protest her ignoring his question, but then shut his mouth as what Summer had said registered in his brain. "Did I just hear you say ?mutated Smurf?? Just what is going on?" Summer raised a hand to wave away the question. "We have something to talk about, Saethi." "Yeah, like why you?re here." "Maz, and the mutated Smurf and Co." "And that." "Among other things, Saethi." "That too." Saethi flung his shirt away without looking. It landed safely in the laundry basket. "But, for now, let?s postpone that conversation. I have to shower." Summer wrinkled her nose. "I second that. God, I?m so happy you?re only half vampire. I would not enjoy you smelling like that all of the time. You stink." Saethi grinned and walked off, and after Summer had settled back down on the couch, resuming the routine of throwing a ball up and catching it, throwing and catching, she could hear the shower running. She smiled, and threw the ball up again. It ricocheted off the ceiling, and into a different room. Summer didn?t bother to find it.
4. The MyOtaku idea sounds good, but, if you change it, I'd appreciate it if you'd at least leave a small forum for people to introduce themselves. Because even if we had a post count in the NL, I don't care about THAT. All I want is to introduce. It makes me feel like I'm more a part of the OB Community. And ok, I admit it, I "play Mod". But, you mentioned earlier that the NL is just a place for spammer to be bred, and so my constant "playing mod" really isn't going against anything. I'm trying to keep spammers AWAY. And mainly I get onto people for stuff that is in the rules. No one word posts (it was in the rules at some point, if not now), no banners larger than the size they're supposed to be, stuff that everyone should know, whether you're a newbie or not. Ok, I admit, I didn't read the rules first thing when I joined, and I didn't post in the Intro forum (wait. Did we have one?) when I first joined, but I followed the rules. Ok, some things were spammy, but I learned quickly. And, since everyone doesn't learn like I do, I'm trying to teach them early. Try to teach them too old, and it's too late. Just trying to help out a little. And James, I didn't mean that you would ban me because of my opinion, I meant that if I posted any more, then my language would get just a bit more than excusable, and I remember that is more than enough reason to ban someone. My suggestion: ok, get rid of the Newbie Lounge, but if you're going to put MyOtaku in place of that, then please, PLEASE at least leave some little part where newbies can introduce themselves, and the members (not talking about post counts here) can say hi back. And honestly, I didn't know that I was supposed to ask questions. And that the newbies were supposed to post about themselves. Because, if you're like me, I'm not going to introduce myself with: Hi, my name is Sere, but my real name is Annie, and I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma! I have three pets, along with a mother, father, and 19 year old sister. etc, etc, etc. It's just not my thing. And what questions are there to ask? How's school goin' really isn't going to work, and there really aren't many questions you can ask without sounding like you're interested in stalking them! And yes, I'll admit it, I do believe that I scare more Newbies off than I make feel welcome, but hey! Most people don't even post anyway after that original post. And don't judge a book by its cover. I would try to make the Newbie Lounge more like the rest of OB, but that would be hard. You really can't RPG, or post posts about plushies, or submit artwork on the Newbie Forum. I'm not saying that it has different rules (for it still has rules) but I'm saying that it'd be hard to get it like the rest of Otakuboards. Would use an analogy, but hey! Ya'll would just shoot me down. I can't remember where I started on this, so I'll just close this now, and hope that you all can make sense of this semi-sane ramble. Ja ne -Sere
5. I just want to point out a little something: TN, OBVIOUSLY getting some spam-action on, as did Phantom, but you don't see any "Down with the Otaku Lounge" threads in the Suggestion Forum, now do you? I think it would be beneficial to ALL of us if you'd stop being hypocritical. *glares at CWB* Anyway--for a bit of an update. I mentioned I didn't know why my parents picked out the name Anne to go with Leigh (or possible they picked out Leigh to go with Anne . . . ) but I thihk it's because my name is a combination of two names: Leigh and RoseAnn or MaryAnn or something like that, I just know it has an Ann(e) in there somewhere. Just remembered this this morning . . . Oo;;
6. Wow. Flynn's actually alive. And posting in an RPG. This is amazing. Anyway-- Character sheet: Sister Name: Charisma Crichton Age: 20 cycles Description: See attachment. Wears: Something similiar to jeans, and a off-white long sleeved shirt, sleeves always rolled up. Wears a watch and a charm bracelet. Bio: Not really bored of Earth, but not wanting to be without her brother, Charisma also saved up for what would be a relaxing trip . . . Skills: Mechanical. There's nothing she loves more than fixing someting herself. Anything else: It'll come to me eventually.
7. I have to say that I can't be that well respected. Anyone who knows me just thinks that I'm insane. Well, ok, I AM, but I can be quite serious when push-comes-to-shove. And sometimes I'm serious even when I don't have to. And I also have butted heads more than once with a certain few members on OB, so I know some people who don't think highly of me. Heck, I don't think ANYONE thinks HIGHLY of me. So I'd have to say I'm . . . well, average.
8. Well, you get yet another post from the "offending group". That makes . . . what? Five? Yeah, five. Ok, so we spam. I admit that I've spammed, but tried to catch myself and stop. And now, I (selfishly) am sticking up for myself. I introduce. Yes, I'm silly, and sometimes stupid with what I say, but it's my thing. I'm not going to be some stuck-up prick who only says "Welcome to the Otakuboards. Enjoy your stay." I want to be MYSELF when I introduce, because if I don't, then I'm stuck keeping up an image I don't want to. And unless you've noticed, I DO try to correct people when I can. Two word posts and I'm onto them. And, ok, I forgot to get onto the person who had the poems, but I had thought that someone else would have gotten onto them. Guess that's my job, considering I just had to get onto someone for posting a one letter post. I've noticed that a majority of the people posting against the NL are the ones who don't POST, just WATCH. No matter WHAT you say, I feel like I'm making a difference, not encouraging newbies to spam. You can believe what you want to. All I want to do is make a difference, and make some new people feel like they're a part of the community. Take that away, and what do we got? Nothing. *~*~~`` I would go into a further rant, but then you guys would be reading for about a day. And James would most likely ban me.
9.
Originally posted by Endymion lol Yeah, the guy who plays Giles is a good singer. It's just funny that you mentioned him. I never really thought of him as a singer.
Ooooo . . . Anthony is like the BEST singer . . . him and Amber Benson (Tara). When ASH hits those low notes . . . *drools mindlessly* *cough* Anyway-- vocalists. Erm. I'd have to say . . . her. That one person whos name I forgot. HER. Dangit. I'll remember . . . someday. And, don't laugh, I'd have to say Enya. She's got some good stuff, really!
10. Stick me anywhere. I wanna see GINNY GETTING MARRIED!!! If I have to, I'll be one of those people who sit in the audience sniffling into a tissue because my "little baby has all grown up". . . . . . . Or I'll just sit in the audience and cheer Ginny and Shaun on. And then get drunk on the spiked punch. . . . . . . Or not.
11. Er. Plushies actually exist? Wow, I'm behind the times. And 300$ for a stupid PLUSHIE?! People are extremely insane. No, no plushie making here. The only thing sewing-wise I'm able to do is injure myself. Stabbing myself with the dang stupid needle is SO not fun . . .
12. Michelle Branch. That woman can SING. And Betty Buckley from "Cats". The woman who made the song "Memory" such a famous song among musical fans. Ah, that woman is wonderful . . . There's others, but those are the only ones fresh on my mind right now. Possibly Anthony Stewart Head . . . ooo, listen to the bass notes . . .
13. Annie Bradley. Ok, ok, it's really Leigh-Anne Bliss Bradley, but even THINK of calling me Leigh-Anne (yes, Leigh-Anne. Not Lee Ann or some other crapwad spelling. LEIGH-ANNE.) I will stalk you down and beat you over the head with a real frying pan. I MEAN IT. Leigh-Anne: Leigh is after my grandfather. The one I never knew because he died before I was born. But I think his was spelled differently. Anne: Er. It sounded good with Leigh? And yes, I have a hyphen inbetween Leigh and Anne. It's just a thing. And Annie is obviously a nickname from Anne. Bliss: From Arthur Bliss, great something grandfather. He's famous in our family some way. I've forgotten. Bradley: Er. Er. Well, it's from the British side of my family, I know that. (Hightower is Frenchish, Hildebrant is German, and Bradley is British. Juno is Canadian . . . and those are the only last names that I know. I DO know that I'm Irish/Scottish too . . . dang, I'm a dang mutt.) I used to have a little name book, but I can't remember where I put it. My name is LONG and it has something along the lines of "sheltered meadow" in it. Lettme look . . .
14. hey, I can always do the "two character" thing ans go as the sister. God knows that I need a little more excitment in my life.
15. Ugh. I can't play volleyball. One, I'm only 4'9.5", so I don't get much height on the ball, and two, I have no hand-eye coordination. And plus, when we did it for gym ( thank god I don't have to take gym anymore! ) no one wanted to play, so they'd stand there and wait for someone else to take the ball. And then they'd yell at us when we didn't hit it. God I hated volleyball.
16. Ok people, no one sentence posts here. Rae, you should know this as well. Considering that you greet the newbies . . . jus a little warning you guys. In my opinion, you need to come up w/ a new quiz there Shy. Update your happy little list of people, and find a new option thingie. But, that's just my opinion. Which doesn't count in the long run . . . >>;;
17. We're "friends". If you haven't noticed, we're the members of the Newbie Forum Patrol, so, even though Rae lives in Aussie land, and I live in the Grand Ole U S of A, we're most likely going to be seen together. It's just a thing. And no, we aren't stalking each other. That would just be scary. Anyway, on the subject of lighting people's hair on fire, there was one case of someone's hair being lit at the beginning of the year. However, I can't be sure if it was real or not . . . Oo;;
18. For once, Rae actually has a post that's nice. You should feel proud of Rae. I can relate to death. Really, I can. I never knew my grandfather, because he died of cancer before I was born. My father had cancer, but that was when I was little, so I didn't really understand what death meant. Death really wasn't real to me. In seventh grade, my mother had a cyst, but we weren't sure if it was that or cancer. I had a nervous breakdown one day in Choir, and missed 20 minutes of the next class because of that. But it was nothing serious in the end. And it was funny, because the whole "Mole Mania" thing had still been going on, and my mother, on lots and lots of painkillers, kept on wanting to know who the Mole was. It was really funny. Almost as funny as the "The clean dishes are in the refrigerator!" episode . . . My heart goes out to you Stitch, really. I was so scared that my mother was going to die, that one day I'd go home and she wouldn't be there . . . so I understand. Really I do.
19. Er. Shyguy should have a little banner that has "Otaku Pike" on it, and his little quizzy is there. I got Shyguy as the first BTW. His little quizzy and lots of other sites . . . Oo;;
20. Yeah, at least by the end of the school year. Read that post too. And I really doubt that you'll ever get me. You're even more insane than I am. I did get YOU once though . . . Oo;;
21. Heh. The worst thing I've done is draw blood from someone. And that was in 5th grade. Luckily, the principal liked me, so I got off easy. It also might have been that one of my friend's was trying to kill my other friend at that moment, but still. Not very many pranks at my school. Fights o plenty, but not very many pranks. The worst I've done nowadays was beat someone over the head with my history book. I feel way too nice . . .
22. Why is everyone getting ME?! Man, and it was just when I thought I was DIFFERENT. You people really know how to burst a bubble, don't you? But what's funny? Only the insane people have gotten me . . . However, I kept on getting Flynn, even when I have the "happy answers". Ugh, he'd most likely maim or kill me in some way for that. *stares at Clowmet's dancing Kirby avatar and giggles insanely*
23.
Originally posted by Lalaith Ril *starts singing tommorrow* "The sun will come out tommorrowww!" KEhehehe
*beats Bri about the head, neck, and shoulders for that comment* And, according to Britty, you live in Kansas, so I could go find you. I live in the state directly under Kansas. Watch your mouth. You know, what could I change my name to? There's no other name that I use real regular. I COULD change my name to Aisha Karnchanakaphan just so I could make fun of everyone when they tried to spell the last name, but then I'd be called Aisha and that ain't cool. Neither is being called Sere Karnchanakaphan. Also, typing that would be a bother. Moot point really. And plus, I don't want to traumatize any more people by forcing them to use a different name from now until eternity. I'll stay with Sere. Unless James has an evil side and changes me even when I don't want to . . . (hey, you never know.)
24. On a Christian note, has anyone considered that "ghosts" aren't really "ghosts" at all? Everyone's so convinced that this ghost is someone who's died and hasn't passed on to another life or whatnot, but there's also the fact that what we think as "ghosts" are actually angels, or demons. Another theory on the whole ghosts (my father's theory) is that there are actually two planes, ours, and then another plane, that exist separately. A ghost appears when those two planes collide and become one, but only for a brief period of time. Then they separate into two different planes again. Just some theories.
25. Ooo. Fun. Name: Seren Hanai Arkali spirit: Water Harbinger Age: 18 Planet of Origin: Kharydin Description: 5'2" pale blue eyes, and dirty blonde hair, braided.
