I guess i should say that most things don't bother me, but if you do a certain something that really gets me angry....watch it cuz i have a short fuse. One thing i cannot stand is bullying. I hate bullies so much...it's ridiculous. I think it's because i was bullied before and i know how it feels. And honestly...i think another reason is because i used to watch Rugrats on Nickelodeon. Look at how much languages creates barriers between people of different countries and languages. It creates many misunderstandings and is a major cause of racism. It also has many limitations. It cannot truly express some ideas and feelings. It's also complicated like a mother...and i'm very willing to admit that i haven't mastered English. Even know i feel limited by language...i can't fully express myself because of it. On the other hand it's truly wonderful, without it rational thought would be nearly impossible. The closest i've been to death was my cat dying a while back and my great grandfather dying. I didn't know my great grandfather so it wasn't a big deal. To me he was just a crazy old dude that put holes in our wall and ate hershey kisses. As for my cat though, it was rough. I loved my cat. It took a while for me to get over it. Though a cat is nothing in comparrison to a person dying. My analysis of your situation is simply that you've experienced a death that was close to you and made you realize that death is real. I think you are mostly worried about other people around you going, those that you care for and love. If a girl wants to be taken seriously for their mind and personality then they shouldn't be too keen on wearing clothing that suggests all she's worth is a cheap *******. I mean...i'd like to say i take all women seriously regardless of their appearance, but that isn't true and i know it. If a girl's dressed like a slut then my initial response will be to treat her accordingly. Though this isn't limited to the female gender by any regards. If a guy dresses trashy then i'll want to treat him trashy until i learn more about the guy...if it even gets that far. I personally believe it takes a certain amout of self respect to dress descent which is why i generally avoid poorly dressed individuals. Another thing that bothers me is the "gangsta" look. To me it's always harder to watch a person die when he/she had so much life in 'em when they were alive. This is an absolutely perfect example of this. I wasn't even a huge fan of the guy, but i still felt horrible about it. :'( I thought it was ironic that he was killed by a sting ray. I mean...the chances of a sting ray delivering a fatal blow are about 1 in a million. And yet he threw himself into situations where it was actually likely that he would die. Of all the people in the world, only a very small percent will actually get to know you, the rest will simply judge you based on your apearance. Appearance is also what largely makes up the first impression, which is quite important. If you truly want to be successful in life then every aspect of your own self will be as polished as possible. Whether looks should be important isn't up for debate, they are important. If you go to a job interview dressed and smelling like a slob, there's no way in hell you'll be hired. If you're trying to impress your girlfriend's parents you better not smell like rotten eggs and dirty diapers. If you're trying to get a girlfriend for that matter... Why can't you care about both looks and personality? I know i care about both. I'm superficial, but i totally understand that looks aren't everything. As a matter of fact, i'd say the ratio between the two fluctuate throughout a relationship. At first looks are the most important thing, then personality starts mattering. When a relationship gets to a stage such as marriage then the two should be equally as important. And in the long run the personality is what's going to matter most. But to say that i'm concerned with outer appearance doesn't mean i don't care about what's hidden beneath. It's quite the opposite, i believe both are important, though not equal.
