1. Cyriel, good job on the post. You probably did a better job than I would of have done, so high five for you! On another note, would you guys like me to post now? Or do any of you have something you'd like to do? Because I don't want this RP to do here!
2. Okay, this will be the guideline: ------------------------------------------------------------ Small weapons - It will be carried on their person, or can be summoned. It will be the player's choice. ------------------------------------------------------------ Large Weapons - It will need to be summoned. How it summoned, and any special effects, will be up to the user. ------------------------------------------------------------ Oh, and Sakura, please post. Or else I'll have to hit you very, very hard. ^^
3. Well, I suppose that it depends on the user. But from my understanding, mostly everyone doesn't have theirs as physical weapons. So, for those that don't, that comment above applies.
4. Okay, before anyone asks, yes you can start the fight. But first, we need to get our Blood Weapons...it should all happen instantly for everyone, so the person who starts the fight will have to figure that bit out. Oh, and I think there will be a fair bit of interaction between us during the fight. One more thing: Job will whoop our butts. Tremendously.
5. The man walked through the streets of Boston-Two. He was an old man, but if you were tell him that, he?d probably hit you on the side of the head and deny the fact. He?d then go on to say that the power of youth in the heart can defeat all obstacles. You?d also call him insane, and indeed, that would be a very accurate description. The man, who called himself Job, had once worked at a certain organization many, many years ago. He was one of their top researchers working on a certain project with a specific goal in mind that would complete some grand agenda for a noble cause, or something like that. But through a series of unfortunate events, there was this huge explosion, and everyone thought Job went kabloee. But Job didn?t go kabloee! In fact, the exact opposite happened! Job was alive! But something else happened! The great plans of the world were revealed to him, as well ad the Devil Children that would be involved a great deal with those plans. The night was very dark. It was day just moments ago! It must have been the Devil Children, Job decided. And so he was off, to see the mighty Wizard of Oz! But that was another story. For now, he had to pay a visit to the Devil Children. * Matt?s back was against the trunk of a tree, his whole body shivering, all but his clawed hand. He stared with horror the details on the claw, like how some of its skin was peeling off like it was dead. Bone was protruding from the top of the claw like it was some sort of guard or at least, it looked like bone to Matt. It was white, and smooth, whereas the rest of the claw was rock hard and blue. Before, somehow, Matt had managed to comfort that girl, but he managed to slip away from the crowd to stay to himself in silence. What had just happened? Was it all a dream? No, that was impossible, because everyone else was having this SAME, EXACT, THING happen to them. Maybe this was a nightmare? Suddenly, a tree slammed down beside him, almost crushing him. Terrified, Matt ran out, far out of range of whatever it was that caused the tree to fall. What he saw was a man sitting idly on the felled tree, clothed in a giant jacket, with a?paper bag on his head? If it wasn?t for the fact that his leg was hurting, he would have sworn that he was dreaming. ?Oh, ho ho ho! This is indeed a very Merry Christmas! They have come! I mean, you, and they, and everyone had come! Now the fun begins!? Matt was speechless. He wanted to ask just what the hell this crazy man was talking about, but he had an indescribable fear of the man with the paper bag. It was like he could sense this man?s power, like it was oozing out of him like his horrid stench. ?Where is everyone? Oh where o where can they be? They should be here, yes they should! Unless they are deaf, but that don?t make any sense, no it does not! So come here already! Anyone, everyone, and no one!? The man?s rant made no sense to Matt. All Matt knew was that he needed to run. So run Matt did, in the opposite direction. He didn?t notice that it was as dark as night. He didn?t notice no cars drove on the streets, or pedestrians walked across the sidewalks. All he knew was that he had to run. But he didn?t run for long. He quickly bumped into the man. ?You can?t go now! The fun has just begun!? Suddenly, he saw somebody approach. ?Oh ho ho! You?ve come. About time I say! But where is the other eight, heh? They should be here! Oh, there they are! Let the circus begin! With a grand battle! Now!? At once, light sparkled in the man?s hands, and a giant spear emerged. ?Let?s begin.?
6. Uh Kitty, I don't think your in. You donut have a Genin cell, do you're not RPing at all, me thinks.
7. In regards to my latest post...
[+]Its time for you to have your Devil Children powers awaken. [+]You do not need to enter the realm. [+]You do not need to meet your Persona. [+]Your hand does not need to be clawed. [+]All you need to do is have your powers awaken.
8. One 'The Beast...Maybe its just us...' A draw? Matt really wasn?t expecting that from his first big fight. He was expecting some sort of big finish, or a close call, or something totally unexpected. But no, that girl had to walk in and end it all. Saying he was disappointed would be insulting. ?Does that happen often Jonas? Or am I just lucky?? ?You?re just lucky.? ?Perfect?, Matt sighed. All of a sudden, Matt?s head started to get woozy, topsided. His vision was becoming blurry, like a bunch of merged colors. ?About time you decided to show up.? Matt turned to see the speaker. It was being casted in red, a trench coat that appeared scaled as its attire. It appeared human and demonic. It was demonic. Matthew shook his head, trying to make comprehension of what was going on. He saw that everything was black, spirits oozing out of the ground like some great horror movie. What the hell was going on? ?Still confused eh?? Matt didn?t speak. ?Let?s just say you managed to wake up.? Then it, and the realm, disappeared. ?The hell?just?happened?? Matt brought up his hand to steady his shaking face, but he winced at a cut. Confused, he looked at his hand. It was clawed?like that demon. ?Oh my god!? Matt fell to the ground out of sheer shock. ?What is this? This is a dream? Right? Yeah, it?s a dream. That?s all it is. That?s all it has to be! No?this is madness?.this is insanity?this is unreal! It?s not real! Its not! Its not!?
9. Matt didn?t know how long he was out on the streets of Boston-Two, looking at road signs, checking our brochures, asking for confusing directions from people who didn?t seem to have any direction in their lives. He didn?t know how many times he thought the next turn would bring him to the park, only to bring him to a dead end. And he certainly didn?t know that if he had just taken that right from the start he would of have been at the Gardens so much earlier. Why did he have to do something stupid and take a left? Regardless, Matt eventually found himself at the Boston Public Garden, and he was quick to see that a small fight was already underway. A few other individuals were there as well, but the only he noticed was Jonas and that girl he encountered in the hallways. ?Hey Jonas?? Matt said as he approached the card dealer. ?What took you so long?? ?Don?t ask.? Jonas shrugged, seeing that he shouldn?t press the matter. ?So, what?s going on?? ?Don?t tell me you were home schooled. It?s kind of obvious. Tow guys fighting. One guy will win. Betters get money. Simple, no?? ?No. I just, oh, never mind.? Matt just stayed quiet, and watched the fight, and considered his options. One of them had silvery hair, and seemed to be one that was calmer, the type that would analyze the situation. He had probably taken martial arts or something. The other one, though, was acting all crazy like, like he was some sort of Jamaican fighter. His moves were anywhere and everywhere, and just downright impossible to analyze without giving Matt a headache. Both seemed like he could win. The crazy one kept on missing hits, but the calmed person seemed to get more and more nervous. Or, at least that?s what it looked like to Matt, what with this being the first time he actually decided to analyze a fight. Mostly, he would just watch, and not think about it. It seems like a lot of things were different at Boston-Two. * C: Have they arrived? S1: Yes, Commander Tservi. The Analyzers have confirmed that the Blood Weapons have drawn the Devil Children to the Public Gardens. C: As expected. I need the Retrievers to rendezvous with them ASAP. Fate isn?t going to give us much time for this. S1: Of course. OOC Oh snap! The Prologue is almost over. When teh fight is finished, prepare for the awakening. And for a certain individual to create lots of chaos. xD
10. After Matt?s encounter with the incarnation of hotness, as his mind decided to put it, his day went by rather quickly. He slept through the whole of study hall ? the fact that it was quiet as a library helped things somewhat. He did wake up with more droll dripping onto his arm than he would of have preferred, but it went by fast. He had a bit of difficulty finding Miss Berger?s room, what with it being at the lowest floor of the school and all, but he knew the instant he heard the plump woman?s voice that she would be one of the kindest teachers he would ever have. It was the type of voice you would expect from a grandmother baking cookies for her grandchildren who had just come for their daily visits. She greeted Matthew warmly, talked to him a bit about what they would be doing, and found him a seat with great warmth and humility. Matt almost didn?t want to go to Lunch! Lunch somewhat slugged along. He didn?t realize that Jonas had the same lunch as him until the last five minutes, when he saw the back of his vaguely familiar T-shirt. Matt was about to walk away, since it would be awkward for him to suddenly jump into whatever conversation Jonas was having. But then, he had to see Matt and pulled him in. ?Everybody, this is Matt.? All of Jonas? buddies introduced themselves, in the kind of order and timing that makes one think that it was all rehearsed. ?Anyways Matt, I need a favor.? ?Being?? ?I?m heading for the Public Gardens after school. I need someone to come, but these oddballs have better things to do. You know how to get there, right?? ?Yeah.? ?Good man, I?ll see you after school.? Matt didn?t get to say anything to protest the sudden arrangement, since the bell rang. The Lunch became a giant crowd as it left the cafeteria. Upon his return to class, Matt found the remaining hour went by much faster than he expected any class to go by. Must have been because he probably had the nicest teacher in existence. In contrast, Science actually went slower than Math. Matt was becoming sore from all the times he had to flex his fingers to keep himself awake. The day ended with a bang in English. The class was assigned to write some poetry, to get them ready for Shakespeare, and Matt wrote the best one in the class, earning him a perfect score and brownie points to boot. OOC Hope this was alright with you Redemption. You didn't have your schedule up, but I didn't know a better way for Jonas to drag Matt to the Gardens.
11. Well, the accents are up to you. I highly suggest you use them, since you're all Bostonians like me in this. Of course if you want to be a freak, that's up to you. :animesmil
12. Name: Shinji Zukachi Age: 15 Sex: Male Character Type: Shinobi Country/Village: Konoha; The Hidden Village of Leaves Rank: Genin Division: None Physical Description: It is easy enough to note that becoming a trained murderer has its negatives on your body. The trained at Konoha is somewhat infamous; a few parental groups over the past fifty years or so have somewhat protested on the effects the training has on the body of the adolescents. Shinji would be an excellent example ? although having just reach puberty, he is certainly starting to grow. But a noticeable amount of scars can be found beneath his clothing, as well as for the fact that his already thin form looks ?stretched?, as it were. Although certainly not elastic by any means, or at the point where there seems to be more bone than flesh, his arms in particular look very long; in fact, much longer than they should be. The normal hand length is finger length to the hips; his is several inches beyond that. On another note, Shinji is very pale. Perhaps this could attributed to his orangey hair, or perhaps the fact that the Zukachi family was somewhat infamous for their paleness, but Shinji has the appearance of someone who has barely left a well lit room. He has a certain tan-ness to him, but it is certainly is much lighter than should be normal. Clothing: The oversized Zansatu is obviously the first thing that people notice; despite his very shy, and insecure attitude, people find it odd that Shinji will wield such a large weapon. He tends to hold the weapon over his shoulder, which one would expect from such a massive weapon. The odd thing is, however, is that instead of having it be holstered vertical, it is held horizontally. Shinji?s selection of clothing, however, is much more understandable considering his personality. It is a long, white cloak with dark stripes running across it, very similar to that of a zebra?s. The collar for the cloak is pushed upwards, so that it covers the neck. The cloak is usually unzipped near the top, down to the chest area. Beneath the cloak, Shinji wears a black sleeveless shirt. His shinobi headband can usually be found strapped to his arm. Personality: It would not be that hard for someone to describe Shinji who doesn?t know him. He sits by himself at mandatory picnics, never raises his hand in class, and the first thing he does when the day at the Academy is over is he goes to his room. He is a loner in every sense of the word; he refuses to interact with people, he chooses to remain quiet when people chose to speak with him. He doesn?t seem to care about anyone. But this is on;y a ruse. In truth, he does have feelings for other people. He has kept hundreds of crushes to himself, and those who he had wished friends were treated indifferently. He is scared of two things: being rejected, and facing the harsh reality of possible losing those he loves. He doesn't want to be alone, but at the same time, he wants support. Nindo; "Way of the Ninja" ?I was born a nothing?no one cared for me, no one loved me. No one recognized me; I was no one?s important person. Jutsus and Techniques Katon Tech Tree Stage One Katon: Ichi (Fire Element: One) Type: Ninjutsu Description: The basic building block of a great many techniques down the line, this is presumably the very same skill that began the study of Katons. Molding their chakra through a simple seal of any choice, the user is able to focus it onto the tip of their index finger in the form of heat. With this, they can cut through things such as glass and rope with some difficulty. However, at this stage, control of one?s chakra is so minimal that this technique can only be used by one finger and essentially has no combat use. Katon: Shuriken no Jutsu (Fire Element: Shuriken Technique) [Taken as Elemental Specialist bonus] Type: Ninjutsu Description: A relatively basic katon, this one uses chakra to coat a metal shuriken or a kunai with fire. It is done so that the user first throws the shuriken, then exhales from his or her mouth a small flame that ignites the chakra-coated projectile. If the attack succeeds, not only will your opponent be hurt by the shuriken or kunai, but he will also suffer from burns. Note: Only one projectile at a time. Katon: Fukumen no Jutsu (Fire Element: Veil Technique) Type: Ninjutsu Description: A stall technique which really only helps genins in this stage of learning accustom themselves to the less subtle methods of Katons. Performing the necessary seals, the user claps their hand in front of them and a hot white flash erupts from their hands that blind people in the closest vicinities. With this opening, the user is able to make a hasty escape or even move in for a killing blow. The severity of the flash, however, lasts only a moment and causes only spots to appear until an opponent?s sight becomes clear again. Note: Both the effect and the recovery from this technique can be overcome in one post. Ryuujin-Fu Ryuujin-Fu is a powerful Taijutsu that is based on finese and speed to be properly executed. The force and power from the Taijutsu comes in time with the control of enhancing the users fist with chakra formed into a Katon (Flame). The flames doesn't touch the fist of the users but merely surrounds it. Gloves are required to use this Taijutsu without burning the user. The style is all about the finese of changing speed in a dramatic level, making it nearly impossible to predetermine the users next moves. The movement performed in this Taijutsu are large and dramatic, making strikes by this style done to its fullest potential. The style involves strikes with the palm and fist, with kicks usually airbourne. Every movement in the style requires quick attacks and blocks, using velocity to increase power rather then sheer work of muscles. Danbira no Kyo ? Universal Great Sword While the name of the creator of Danbira no Kyo has been lost with the passage of time, the style remains relatively well known even today, for it is popular among the proud and elite few who choose traditionally larger blades as their mainstay in combat. It focuses not only on the obvious physical aspect of wielding big swords, but on imbuing attacks with moonlight and chakra to increase damage potential. As is the nature of giant weapons anyway, disciples of Danbira no Kyo don?t bother with trying to be overly flashy or sneaky. Their sole interest is smashing or slashing the enemy into bloody pieces. Movement is straightforward with this style, with the user often running directly at the target while dragging the sword in the air behind him with one or two hands. An interesting note with Danbira no Kyo is that those who study it have rather impressive footwork for warriors who favor large blades. Instead of struggling with the weight of their weapons, users ?dance? around with it, small but quick steps, to avoid close attacks by moving in a way that won?t allow the sword?s mass to disturb their balance. If footwork alone is not enough, the user will leap?and the strength of their legs is enough for this? short distances rather than running away to dodge. The goal of the style is to harness the power of moonlight to maximum efficiency, as well as work towards being able to eventually wield the large blade with one hand just as easily as if he were using two. - This style requires a sword larger than a katana, which includes nodachi and cleaver swords. - Non-shinobi may take the style, but cannot learn any special techniques. Style Basis: Weapon/Ninjutsu Global Ninjitsu Kawarimi No Jutsu (Body Switch Technique) [Academy] Type: Ninjutsu Description: A common jutsu - used to quickly replace a body with a close by object. Creates confusing among the opponent(s) - creating a chance to escape, or return with a larger strike. Useful for avoiding attacks, and hiding from potential enemies. Kawarimi may be used twice per battle. Anrokku no Jutsu (Unlocking Technique) [Academy] Type: Ninjutsu Description: A relatively easy-to-perform jutsu used mostly on stealth missions and when stealing. By concentrating chakra on a basic lock such as a door lock or on a safe, the user can force the mechanism to unlock even without the key or knowing the code. Nothing about the lock will have changed other than it will open once before it locks up again. This skill leaves no signs of tampering. Both his mother and father were researchers developing ways of advancing the powers of elemental jitsu. Shinji?s father was descended from a line of researchers in similar fields who never really gained much recognition in anything. His mother was born from a somewhat noble family; she became interested in the sciences in her early teens. Although disappointed that their daughter was so fascinated by something as brutal as the arts of the ninjas, they supported her nonetheless. It was a happy time for the Zukachi family. They were overjoyed that their first child was such a blessing to their household. And Shinji was just happy. He didn?t have any worries. All he cared for was living the days as they passed by. It was on his fifth birthday that everything turned into a living oblivion. For his birthday, his mother and father were secretly giving him a gift of their own; his mother was to take him on an adventure through the marketplace, wheras his father was going to make something special. All seemed to go to plan; little Shinji was mesmerized by it all. It seemed like the marketplace never seemed to die down; it was constantly busy, with customers always going in and out of stores, merchants were spurting out a hundred words a minute. It was an amazing fantasy to Shinji. But all that fantasy turned into a hellish nightmare in an instant. A wagon was passing by, holding several jars full of explosive liquids. It would be stated later that the cause of the accident was a defect in one of the jars. The wagon went over a large crack; the bump caused enough friction in the defective jar to explode. A dozen people were killed; Shinji was the only survivor. When his father saw what had happened, he was so traumatized that he swore that he did not have a son. He ran off into the woods, and according to some reports by the villagers, he killed himself. In one instant, everything he loved and cherished was reduced to nothing but ash. It didn?t take for the government officials to decide what to do with the boy; a new law dictated that all orphans were to be sent to the nearest Ninja academy. Without anyone to say goodbye to, Shinji was sent off to Konoha to become a ninja. Shinji?s life at the Academy was by no means a happy line. He purposely isolated himself from other ? he never wanted to feel the pain of losing someone again. That agony, that poison that strived off of your pain, it would be too much for him to bear. Despite how much he wanted to have that same love again, how much he wanted to have his own group of friends who he could eat and laugh with, and despite how much he wanted to say ?I love you?, he could not risk that pain. Shinji made himself the person who would sit by himself under that oak tree on the outer edge of the hill in the park during lunch break. He was the person who even though he knew the answer to that question, he did not raise his hand in any of his classes. He made himself a loner; a man who would fight for himself, a man who throw off society. He would fight just to live, even though he had right to claim such a life. He was a loner, and he planned to die as one. Other Info: Shinji's background and personality is a blatent rip off of a character of a Ninja novel in pre-production that I am working on. That Shinji was inspired by one of my roleplay characters, Alex Gleason, who in turn was inspired by Shinji Ikari of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Writing Example: The sun rose over the mountains of Konoha as Shinji woke up from a somewhat peaceful night?s sleep. He didn?t remember in particular what he dreamt. Then again, he never did remember much of anything. He threw the covers off of him, and yawned a yawn that even a bear would be impressed by. He walked to the small kitchen, and ate the same breakfast he ate everyday; a granola bar and goat?s milk. After eating the small meal, he got dressed, grabbed his equipment and headed for the Academy. The Academy of Konoha was one of the most famous in the known world. It was split into multiple sections and floors, usually to designate between class rank and subject. The Academy spanned approximately a third of the entire city; to say that it was massive would be an insult. It was common misconception that every day at any of the Academies were full of sampling of the adventurers the students would face as shinobis. If that statement had any truth in it, then Shinji must of have been an extreme exception. He barely saw any difference tone in the senseis, forget about a sampling of some grand, golden nature waiting for him outside of Konoha. For the first half of that day, Shinji?s day went as it usually did; he sat himself in the middle of the class, and would jot down notes when needed, paid attention when the need arose itself, and did whatever he could to avoid being asked a question or be brought to the front of the class to demonstrate a jutsu. It was during lunch that things went out of hand. The whole Academy was outside, due to the fact that the lunch chamber was under heavy construction. Shinji was sitting under an oak tree, eating a small meal of steak graciously provided by the local butcher. It was one of the rare benefits of having neither a mother nor a father to guide and love him. His teeth had just rip into the most tender part of the steak when he felt the cold shadow of a stranger watching over him. Moving slowly as if creaking his neck upward recquired colossal effort, he stared upwards to look at the person. ?Hiya.? ?Uh?hi?, his voice was barely beyond a whisper. He didn?t near swallow. It would show what his prime fear was. ?I noticed that you were sitting alone. You wanna sit with us?? She pointed her thumb behind her, referring to the said group. Sit? With someone? No, I can?t. I won?t let happen again?I can?t?I WON?T? ?I-I?m fine, thanks.? ?You sure? It?s no trouble.? Never again. ?Really. It?s all right.? ?All right. Sorry about that.? With that, the girl hopped back to her gabbing friends. Never again, will I be rejected. Never again will I be humiliated; I will never be brought so low. Never again. OOC: Taken straight from my character from another board. I think I win. ^^ To better understand Shinji, please read the following threads: Mountains and Mines , Team 38: Unplanned Training Session , A Play Date? 13. I second that notion, but there are still a few people who want to do a few more socializing I'm sure. I plan on speeding things up, however, with Matt skipping straight for lunch when Kitty and Ezekiel get their date all set up.
14. These are the thoughts of Matthew Camien as the clock pressed ever closer to ringing: Pencil in ear? Check. Everyone packed? Checked. Belt tightened so I won?t be slowed? Triple check. Everything was perfect. Miss Welch was finishing the lesson; everyone else was ready to barge out of here. And I was all set to go. Now all that was left was for the bell to ring. U tightened the grip on my desk. I was fairly certain my fingers were digging into it. The hand moved an inch. YES! Wait, did it just move back an inch? Seriously, that clock has a death wish. And then the bell rang. And he was free. Leaping over the desk and throwing his backpack over him in one full swoop, he was out the door. He was out of the oblivion that was Math! Like Speedy Gonzales, he sped through the halls. He didn?t know why he was going so fast. It was only the unofficial nap period. Then he bumped into somebody. Luckily he had to turn a corner, so he wasn?t like a bat out of hell and sent the person rolling down the stairs. That would be a major embarrassment, especially since the person was a girl. It should also be noted that she was all very sexy. "Oww..." she cried softly, rubbing her head, "Oh... I'm really, really sorry for b-" Her words stopped as she looked onto the teen boy she had bumped into, slightly blushing. "Oh hey, I'm really sorry about that," he replied with a worried look on his face, reaching his hand towards her, "I didn't mean to... I can be a bit clumsy at times." ?Its all right?, she said apologetically. ?Are you new here?? ?Huh? Oh, um, yeah. You know the restaurant that just opened up? Like five minutes away? That?s my dad?s.? ?That?s awesome. So, you get a good lunch everyday, right?? ?Not really. My dad doesn?t open up shop til ten.? ?Oh. Well, I need to go. Bye.? ?Bye.? I so screwed that up.
15. In the clearest and most precise terms as possible, Matt was bored. He was bored out bored out of his mind. He was so bored that he was fairly certain that his brain would leap out of his skull out of protest. Matt hated Algebra. Now, it wasn?t just because it made as much sense as The Matrix, but he could care less for all the numbers. He could only take the numbers for so long before he would go brain dead. The teacher, Miss Welch, rambled on about another subject. Well, it really wasn?t rambling. She sounded like she knew what she was talking about, and it wasn?t in a single, dull monotone that was so stereotypical of math teachers. She was feigning emotions at the very least. It was just that Math was boring as hell. And the fact it was so confusing didn?t make things better. Now, Matt tried to look like he was paying attention, but in truth, words were coming in one ear and out the other. Matt looked at his watch. It was only nine. He still had another hour of this torture. At least he had study hall. A good nap would do him some real good. OOC Short, I know. No complaining!
16. No, different parts of the building are assigned different lunches. Not everyone will be in Lunch A-D. You get only ONE lunch. And its a big school. Its in a freaking state capitol!
17. Just to let everyone know, I am allowing Keyblade Wielder to join the RP.
18. Okay, think of it like this: A Lunch takes place before class, since its in the first 30 minutes from 4th block. So, from 3rd Block, you would go straight to A Lunch. B Lunch divides fourth period. It takes place thirty minutes AFTER class has started. Same for third, except its time is an hour after class started. D Lunch takes places after the whole class time, an hour and a half, so think of it like its a lunch that takes place after class. It makes sense at MY school. :animesigh
19.
Here's a poem I'm just wrote. I'm practiing ryhme skills. 1,000 Memories down memory lane 1,000 memories down memory lane. Hoping that my soul will stay sane. As I remember the times of the sad, and think of the days that just made me mad. As the sun set's on the street. Old days past, I soon come to meet. As the darkness starts to get plain. I walk down the streets in the warm summer rain. I think of the days, of glee and pain. Realizing there's more to gain. As the sun sets down, losing it's rays. I come to the bend. To the street's end I see. While my mind wonders from me, My heart starts to and mend. 1,000 memories down memory lane. Thinking of happines, and pain. A symbol of hope, and strife. Walking down the street for the rest of my life. What do you think? Personnaly it is my best poem on the OB.
Well Hero, I have to say that on the rhyming aspect of it, it was very well done. However, I found it to be very confusing and hard to read. I think it was the choice of words, and the length of those words. Now, this was probably because I was reading them out loud, but these were my two cents.
20. Matt didn?t know how, when or why it happened, but he somehow bumped into a somewhat imposing looking kid. The kid had jet black hair, the color rock stars and Goths would dye. His chin was rigid and imposing, giving the impression that you didn?t want to mess with him. For a millisecond, Matt?s vision was dazed. In the next he was already at work picking up his things, his fingers grabbing the books as quickly as possible. He didn?t know how long the bell gave for the students to get to their classes, and he didn?t want to get a tardy on his first day. His dad would kill him. ?Try not to be in such a rush. You might knock someone down.? Matt felt the nudge from the kid jabbing him with the binder. Matt accepted it from him. ?Where?s your next class, kid?? Matt looked at his schedule, which he found was still tucked between his fingers. ?One eighteen.? The kid rubbed his shoulder, as if he was bored. ?One eighteen? Its right my way. I?ll show ya.? ?I?m fine.? ?Come on,? the kid insisted. Matt quickly obliged. They walked down the stairs, going against the flow of kids. They met quite a bit of resistance, but having a big kid around helped Matt get through them all. ?Kid, hurry up! You?re sort of slowing them down.? ?I have a name, you know. Matt.? ?Jonas?, he introduced. They moved along at a fairly steady pace. Matt would occasionally take a nervous glance at his watch, but whenever he did, Jonas would tell him to relax. So, Matt relaxed. ?You just moved? An odd time for a sophomore to forget where the rooms are.? ?Yeah, my dad started a small restaurant.? ?It wouldn?t happen to be the one on Adams Street, now would it?? ?Yeah.? ?Nice; its like a few minutes off from my house, which is where me and all my friends at. When we saw the signs, we decided it would be a nice place to eat.? ?My dad will like that. That?s why he decided to put it there ? it?s close to the High School.? ?That too.? By then they had arrived at Matthew?s classroom. ?See you then.? ?Yeah, later.?
21. Matt twirled the pencil around his finger as he listened to Mister Maradrick?s lesson. He was simply enthralled by the whole thing about the Spartan?s war against Xerxes? Persian Empire. Three hundred Spartans, against thousands upon thousands of Persian soldiers! The Spartans were barely enough to drain a pond, whereas the Persians would drain a whole river easily with their numbers. With nothing but six hundred Athenians, militia men all, it was fated that they would all die by Persian blades and spears. But the Spartans didn?t go down without a fight! The Spartans fought tooth and nail with the Persians! With every Spartan, he took twenty Persians with him. By the dawn of the third day, the Persian soldiers had lost thousands upon thousands of their own troops, compared to the Spartan?s minimal one hundred. It all ended with tragedy, though. A betrayer revealed to Xerxes a secret passage behind the Spartans and the Athenian lines. The Spartans blocked the way, allowing the Athenian troops to escape. All of the Spartans died. Unfortunately, Matt had doubts he was in a large group for his love of history. Most kids were just downright bored by history. Hell, most of them cared less about modern politics, another subject Matt was enthralled with. Fortunately, Mister Maradrick, being one of the foot ball coaches, was a big man, the type that immediately inspired loyalty just for a glance. It was so quiet in the room that you could hear a mouse, if the dreaded rodent ever made its presence known. The class went by smoothly enough. It was not so exciting the class went by in a flash, but not dull enough it seemed the Second Coming would occur before the bell rang. The bell rang just as Matt expected it (although he felt it was too loud for his own liking). Glancing down as his newly printed schedule, he read his next period was Algebra 2. He gulped, full of despair. Math was his worst subject, above Science. It was a miracle he passed Algebra I last year ? he would of failed if it weren?t for the fact that he was sick for the Final, and used the extra time during Summer to study. He passed with barely a C. Tightening his grip on his book bag, he dashed into the hall.
22. A few things of notice...

For the schedules, everyone has six entries, and they all last for an hour, with the exception of second period, the long block, which is an hour and a half. Lunch is during fourth period, and is split into four lunches, each an hour. [A] lunch takes place in the first half hour, ['B] lunch takes place a half hour into the period, [C] lunch an hour afterwards, and [D] lunch an hour and a half into it. In other words, [A] lunch takes place before the classes begin, ['B] and [C] separates the class time, and [D] is after the class. Also, school starts at 7:40, ends at 2:50. So, the schedule will be something like this:
Warning Bell - 7:30 First Block - 7:40 - 8:40 Second Block - 8:45 - 10:00 Third Block - 10:05 - 11:05 Fourth Block - 11:10 - 1:10
A Lunch - 11:10 to 11:40 B Lunch - 11:45 to 12:15 C Lunch - 12:20 to 12:50 D Lunch - 12:55 to 1:10
Fifth Block - 1:15 to 1:45 Sixth Block - 1:50 to 2:50
It should also be noted that in Massachusetts, we split Algebra and World History into ALG. I & II and WRLD. HIST. I & II. So, the I is taken Freshman year, and the II Sophomore year. But since I'm the only Sophomore year here (I think :animeswea ) this is mostly just a note to myself. So, that means for Math all of the Juniors just need Geometry, and you Seniors are free of that burden! In Mass., you need only 3 years of Math, as well as 3 years of Science. For the sake of convenience, everyone please PM me your schedule. I will then post it here.
Matthew Camien
1st - World History II 2nd - Algebra II 3rd - Study Hall 4th - Comp. 23. Now this is just awesome. I have not even been here a year, and look, I've essentially gotten an academy award (that IS what the Nifty Fifty is, right? The OB's Oscars?), so this is effin awesome. Thanks to Sandy for nominating me, and props to my favorite Brooklyn Asian for nominating my greatest achievement, Citius Altius Fortius. I still need to write the novel >.>
24. Reading books will without a doubt enhance your abilities to write. Just like having a teacher help you on an assignment will hopefully make you better in that subject, reading books from more experienced authors will give you a template on better writing styles.
