Oko stopped. She heard something. She looked back over her shoulder and partially drew the large blades from sheathes on her back. "Oko? What's wrong?" Mark said realizing Oko had stopped. Oko hesitated. "Nothing". She said."I thought I heard something." She trotted up between Mark and Garret and continued to walk along side both of them silently. She stayed very cautious and kept concentrated on her sourrounding as they walked. Oko suddenly stooped again, This time growling was heard from a bush in back of them. She stopped dead in her tracks. A wolf leapt from the bush. She spun on one foot and raised her leg, kicking it before it could reach her. It fell hard on a rock, breaking its neck. Another, This time from the side. She drew her blade and Cut through the beast, vertically sliceing through the center of it's body. Two wolves advanced on mark, who shocked them to death. Soon Mark, Garret and Chase were fighting off Three enormous Wolves. Oko Stood. She was confident in their abilities to fend for themselves but there was one more; The alpha-male. It leapt from the bushes, facing Oko ready for assault. The other three finished killing off their wolven attackers. Garret and Mark all readied themselves to help her when Chase stopped them. They watched her. The Alpha-Wolf growled. It came at least to her waist. Oko Withdrew her blades And stood, a sitting duck. The Giant, Wild Dog ran towards her, teeth bared. The three just watched. Soon a stream of water came from no where, forcing the wolf's head into a rock before it was half way to Oko. When the water faded the wolf fell.It had a fracture to the skull. It bled from it's ears, Nose and Mouth. It fell, wimpering, Onto the ground. Oko apraoched the Wolf. It growled. She drew her blade and ended it's misery. Garret and Mark looked at her in amazement. Chase stood smileing at her. She walked past them trying to continue the journey without words. Chase followed and Mark and Garret Jogged to catch up.They still lokked stunned by what they saw.

"I don't want to hurt either of them. Mark is so powerful. He really scares me and Garret he is strong but calm and peaceful.I beleive, Mark treats me like a trophy be fought over and won. I beleive Garret thinks I am a delicate flower, defenseless, weak, that needs protection. He fears for my saftey. He finds Mark a threat to me and his chances with me. Mark is cought in lust but there is more than to him. I sense it. I know there is more to him. There is a reason he acts this way. I want to figure him out. " She finished her eyes returning to their distant stare. It wasn't all she was thinking or feeling but she hadn't any words for anything else. "Thank you, Chase. I wonder how they are doing." She stood and started walking. Chase followed her out back to the trail. "Good, I hope." He answered.

Oko continued to walk along Chase. Oko was quiet and Chase didn't quite know how to start a conversation with her. She seemed to distant. Finally, after thinking for a he attempted to to talk with her. "You never asked any questions about the Chosen Eight. Is there any questions you need answered." He said cautiously, trying not to say anything that might even upset her a little bit. "No. I grew up in a library. I read all I could about them even before I knew I was Eka's reincarnation. I loved reading about them and there legacy. I thought their life to be so exciting, even just reading about them was exciting." "Ah, I see."Chase saw she was deep in thought. "Chase? There's a stream not to far from hear. I hear it running. Can we stop there for just a bit? It won't take me long." "Yeah, sure. " he followed her to a small brooke. Oko Stood at the edge of the stream, her hand extended, her palm facing the water. She closed her eyes and breathed in, then out, slowly. She was in deep concentration. An orb seemed to be forming and seperating itself from the water but it fell into the stream as soon as its departure. Oko was disturbed by this omen. "NO!!" She said sitting down hugging her legs and resting her head on her legs. Chase sat by her and put his hand on Oko's shoulder's. She could feel her breathe. Air enterd her lungs and left her lungs in a jagged fashion. Chase didn't know how to comfort her. ((Ooc: Here ye, hear ye! I can't get to my Pm's so I can't reply to them if anyone sends me one. I just want to apologize in advance to those poeple who can't figure out why I won't send a reply to any Pm's. Thankyou!))

Oko Showed no emotion to the decision. Inside she was releived. Their feelings were really messing her up. She was unsure of how she felt anymore. She was very releived that Chase seperated them from her. Maybe she could sort things out before anything bad happened. It wasn't long before dusk came and everyone was preparing to be on their way to the temple. Oko hung around Chase still really trying to avoid the two whom loved her. It was starting to get to her, A corruption in her flow. It was going to screw up her ability! She knew it. She thought back to when Librarian Deana fell ill before she left. No doctor could fix it, no one knew how to heal it. She became worried. Deana told her to continue her training, to work on her skill but because she felt worried the water figures wouldn't flow and fell before even forming. She knew that in an upsetting situation her ability was nothing. She couldn't flow and neither could her water. Oko feared it would happen again.
-
" Ject of lightning." She said thinking. " let's see...He was a brutal warrior.Merciless. He could kill whole groups of men with electric shock. Poeple feared him. There were so mant war stories told of him, poeple feared him. Poeple say that Eka loathed him more then any other ally. But the love lifes of them has nothing to do with ours." She looked down. "Or so I beileive." She blushed. "Love is love. You can't help who you fall in love with. They continued to walk in a awkward silence.
-
Oko snapped out of her thoughts and looked around. Garret was no where to be seen. She started to run to catch up with the rest of them, thinking he might be in the front. She was almost there when she tripped over a stone. As she fell she grabbed the nearest thing. In this case it was someones arm. The man stopped and cought his balence before they both toppled down. Oko realized that the arm she grabbed sparked her a bit. She looked up and saw Mark looking at her. She blushed. "I'm sorry." she said still practically hugging his arm.

Oko stopped messing with her blades when She saw Amelia grabbed him and dragged him away. "Look, I don't mind you taking credit for what I taught you, but doing it that way and making a girl like you right infront of the guy that likes her and she CHOSE over you is wrong and you know it." "What would you know, you don't know what it's like watching something you desire slipping away from you!"Amelia reared back and punched him sending him onto his butt. "Don't tell me what I know and don't know! I would know better than anyone what it's like watching a dream or someone you want to be with slipping out of your reach, going where you can't follow!"Amelia seemed pained. She was starting to cry."I know what it's like. But trying to make a person choose you by doing something like that is wrong. You should be open with her, not jealous and vengful. Get to know them, spend some time talking to them. You never know, maybe if she saw the side of you, that you let me see, she'll like you and not him. Stop being a jerk and be a man." Oko walked away a little confused. She didn't want to return to Garret at this point and didn't want to deal with mark, either so she sat down somewhere in camp. she didn't know what to do. She was hurting Mark and in his pain he was hurting Garret so in some strange, unexplainable logic She was hurting Garret. She was even more ashamed that she hadn't recognized why they were fighting before. Oko sighed and fell back onto the grass putting her hands over her arms. She was cought and didn't know what to do. She had never had to even think about what to do in this kind of scenario before.
-
Oko was amazed by Mark's talent. She reached into her bag and pulled out the other blade. It was identical to the first. "Can you do this one too? So it matches." She looked up at him smiling. "Of coarse." Mark said, "Sparking" her second blade. She loved them. When Mark was done she seized the blades from him and stood. Oko ran out a little ways to ensure their saftey. She slashed and Dance. Mark watched. He had never seen a fighting style that looked so much like dance. He watched for a long time at this graceful spectacle. Then Oko sent a stream of water at a near by rock. The pressure of the water was so great the rock cracked then shattered. Mark watched, Amazed at how such a graceful and dangerous her fighting style was.

Well, I found them later than you." She began looking down with a distant look in her eyes. " I was on a dock," She avoided her earlier childhood. " And a wind pushed me off and I got caught in the undertoe. I was drowning. I gave up hope, stopped struggling. And let myself flow with the water. I was almost dead when something pushed me up. When I saw it. I was pretty shocked. It was a horse made of water. It startled me, I gasped it fell becomeing part of the ocean again and i went back to my teacher, a librarian, and she told me of the chosen eight and how to control my abilities. Then I left and wandered around the world." Garret looked at her. She looked so delicate, so defenseless. What would she need training for. "You underestimate me don't you?" She said looking into his eyes." Tsunami. It can wipe the life of an entire city. Floods. They cause mass destruction. Poeple don't see how powerful water really is." She finished and went into a distant silence.
-
Oko looked up at Garret and leaned in. He leaned in too. There lips touched in a short kiss before they pulled away blushing. They looked at eachother. Oko sighed and put her head on Garret's chest. He slid down onto the grass and they just lay there like that. "I love the rain." Oko said. "I could tell." Garret replied. "Garret? How did you discover your ability?" She asked blissfully.
-
Oko looked back at Garret who was smiling at her. She blushed and let her head rest on his shoulder. Garret blushed and put his arm around her. He looked up at the sky. It was a bit grey and cloudy. the air was moist. Garret thought that Oko would be enjoying the weather today. Garret withdrew his arm and went into his bag. He pulled out another teal stone and looked at Oko for about ten minutes. She stared at him the wjole time he was staring at Her. He turned back to the stone and worked with it for a bit. After about three minutes he handed to her. It was a Koi, a japanese fish and one she liked alot. She smiled and kissed his cheek. Mean while Mark watched the whole thing. He hated sitting and watching this but couldn't get his eyes off her.
-
Oko ran the rest of the way to Garret. She placed a hand on his back and kneeled down next to him. She feared he may be hurt. She waited patiently and he seemed to get better. Garret stood and regained a bit more strength before Oko slipped into his arms, wrapping hers around his nck. "I was worried" She said, shaking with fear. ((Ooc:I have writer's block now.))
-
Oko let the water disperse when she was sure Garret had gone. She immediatly got out and dressed. She was just as emmbaressed as Garret had been and walked slowly back to the camp. Her eyes were wide, still startled and her arms were crossed over her chest. Oko saw Garret when she arrived back at camp. He was sitting by the fire. She went to sit by him. He looked away from her with red cheecks, fidgeting with his hands. "Thenkyou for the flower, again." Oko said blushing. She had pulled out the water lily he had given her. "Yeah. no problem." He replied shakely. She looked down, unsure, once again of what to say. She looked at him with her calm lugubrious eyes. He was still red in the face.Garret caught a the sight of her stareing witch made Garret feel uncomfortable and he shifted in his seat. She saw his discomfort and looked away blushing. "I'm sorry..." She said.
-
Oko walked off. What did he kiss her for? Then afteword? He didn't like it? His words wrang in his head 'You kissed back, either your a good actor or you enjoyed that a little too much.' It hit her like a stone. Her eyes began to water. She continued to walk. Oko didn't realize how far she had gotten untill she snapped back into reality. She was far from camp. But conviniently located about 10 meters from where she stood was a hot spring. She stepped to the edge and stripped. Oko stepped into the hot spring. She sighed letting her muscles relax in the warm water. She still couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. The feeling, it was stuck to her lips. She couldn't shake the feeling of his lips pressing against her's. But she also couldn't stop replaying his words. They no longer depressed her. She only wanted to here his voice.
-
"Garret!! Stop!!" She yelled grabbing his his left arm."The poor man juxst woke up." Garret withdrew his sword. Mark looked at Oko. Her words. she defended him. He quickly rose and turned to the girl. He grabbed her hand gently and kissed it, smiling. "Thank you for my defense, miss. Your name is Oko I beleive?" He said staring her up and down. "Yes." Oko shifted uncomfortably. Mark completely ignored Garret. He Didn't want to make himself look bad in front of the girl he desired. Garret felt something wash over him. A sense of jealousy. He was Jealous! Garet was growing jealous of Mark. He saw it now. Mark lusted for Oko! But this feeling? This jealousy? Why was he feeling this. Garret watched Mark closley. He was staring at her. Not in her eyes but elsewhere, Asking her questions, flirting. He looked at Oko who seemed a little uncomfortable. She watched his eyes closely and crossed her arms over her chest. Garret decided now would be a good time to swoop in and save Oko from Mark's curious eyes.

Oko sat and awaited Garret's much desired return. She sighed and stood. Oko had decided to go for a short walk. She soon looked in the direction Garret had left and saw A man one the ground. Two acually. One being Garret. Oko gasped and grew scared that He might be hurt. He reached them and saw the cuts on his arm. She first dragged Mark to a bed roll and inspected him for injuries. Besides a couple bruises He wasn't hurt. She then ran to Garret and dragged him to another bed roll. She looked at every wound.Oko observed that Each was caused by the same weopen; an axe. The wounds were minor but deep. She quickly got some fabric from a bag she carried with her. Garret started to wake as Oko finished bandaging him. He sat up and looked at her a bit dazed. Oko looked up at him witha distant lookin her eyes and tied the fabric around his last wound. "Thank you," Garret said with sincere gratitude. Oko nodded her thanks."It was nothing really." "Did you drag us here?" He questioned. "Yes." She looked at him. " It wasn't easy but I managed." "You didn't strain yourself too much, did you?" "No" She answered simply. They stared at each other in a slightly awkward silence. She couldn't think of any words to say. All she knew is that she liked looking at him.
-
Oko looked at her gift and gave the slightest smile. She turned and looked back at Garret. Garret spotted her looking at him and she quickly turned blushing. Garret smiled and walked over to Oko. She seemed mesmerisede with his talent and his kindness. "You like it." He sid. His voice startled her and she swiftly, gracefully turned, blushing shyly. "Yes." she said in her melancholy happiness. He cocked his head and smiled. She gave a small smile. He looked at her eyes witch didn't seem to match her mood. Her eyes were grim and sad. But her smile was strangely glad. Oko looked down. She wasn't quite good at talking and never seemed to find words for anything.

After "reading" the travelers, Oko decided it would be ok to get a little closer. They didn't seem at all threatening but she really wasn't feeling very social at the moment. Oko Decided to hide behind a large boulder. She figured she wouldn't be seen or heard. Oko soon grew bored. She fummbled a bit but idly gathered moisture in the air into an orb of pure, pristine water. It wasn't a large bunch but it was enough to entertain herself. She formed it into a snake and made it drift back and forth between her hands. She watched it closely, contently. She made not a noise. She began to get comfortable and leaned against the boulder. Just then, a small bat flew from a crevise at the bottom of the rock, obviously frazzled that someone disturbed it's rest. Oko's hands flew up, startled. She let out a small scream and the the water snake flew back behind the boulder. She heard a slight yelp and cursing. Her eyes grew wide and she peeked behind the large rock. She had hit someone.
