1.
I think the reason most people have an M rating is because they're scared of their RPG going over-board and getting closed. The only reason I think that is because up until awhile ago I was always afraid that I might add a bit too much violence and the game would be closed for an improper rating. That being said, perhaps some of these threads should be changed for an improper rating (and I'm not saying the Arena staff don't do their job, either, because they clearly do. It's awkward to read the content of every single RPG when it's been posted in to make sure it's in check, isn't it?). SIZE]
I kind of agree with her. That's true, too. I think though that there (again) should be limits. just have a mod post that curseing must be censored and that Sexual content isn't allowed unless they get permission in the beginning of the thread. It would lower requests to use profane language since it would be stared out and how many threads acually have sex in them.
2. Ummm, Wow never thought about that! I beleive that perhaps more RPG's should have lower rateings and too much cursing can turn something sour. Acually I don't really see a reason to allow sexual content on the Adventure boards. Although I do add it to my threads when I make one I usually only use it to crack jokes. Even those aren't that neccessaryand I don't use it often. Curseing? Senser it. Violence. Some threads involve lots of gore and blood. Take mine for example.(see list) It's a vampire RPG. Without gore it's bleak to make my thread. I joined here to get away from the too clean extremely unorganized Neopets RPG'ing. I wanted free'er type. If you get rid of to much than RPG'ing will become too.....Boring. Or so I think. I do however think that the creative part is right and that there should be limits.
3. Name-Forlorn Tragic Age- (Demon) 18 (human) 180 Personality-Cold, Dark, Sensitive, and slightly cynical, Forlorn prefers to be alone most of the time and Loves playing with the minds of poeple she does talk to. She loves to read and feels most comfortable sitting in the branches of trees. Appearance- Weapons-A scythe and the power of illusian. Side-Demon Bio- Forlorn Lost her parents at a young age and struggled to survive. Their death went unknown to her untill she came in contact with their murderer, a lone slayer who held a grudge against her parents, He had only managed to cut off half of her left ear before she swiftly fled to safety. As she grew older she became colder and colder. She soon drained herself of any emotion. She walked the paths as a loner keeping to herself and Secretly to wishing for love. Soon even that wish was buried deep into her mind never to be touched again. She spent most of her time examining the ways humans and vampires acted and soon grew to deeply dispise both. She hated the way they acted and interacted and wasn't scared to show it. Her fearless ways earned her the scar that streches across her face. She developed the ability to slip into ones mind and overwhelm their senses of hearing and sight about 80 years ago. She uses it for mere play in most scenarios. Although she could use it for escape and distraction in battle. She manipulates them into seeing or hearing something none exsistent. This technique she has harnessed can also be used to speak to someone telepathically. (But with everything there's a catch. It's a one way deal. She can speak to someone, but they can't speak to her.) Still a loner, she tends to stay in New York around Central park being that it has more strong trees than anywhere else. She dosen't talk nor acknowledge words said to her or taunts thrown at her. She finds herself Murdering poeple and vampires just out of disgust and has commited several large massacres. She's not liked among both vampires and humans and Most demons find her out of control, too. ((OOC: Hope this is better!))
4. Aaron screamed wich alerted Ian And Hiro. 47 Looked at the living room entrance and watched Hiro run out of the kitchen. Ian and Hiro watched as Eric began walking to the wallway with Aaron slung over one shoulder. "Kick and scream. Kick and scream. gonna' do some Kick and scream in my bed,are we." He sang still very High. Aaron screamed and kicked and hit. She managed to squirm down low enough so that the next time she kicked her right foot she hit him in the crouch. He wailed "FBI!!!!!!!!" and fell in a feetle position grabbbing his balls. Hiro, Ian and even47 cringed at his agony. Aaron stood upright and walked to Ians room. She closed the door and sat on the bed. Eric lay on the floor laughing and mumbling then got up and left to the garage for another joint. Ian went to the kitchen to help Hiro and 47 with the spiggeti sauce. Hiro left as Ian took his place. He crossed down the hall and kinocked on Ians door. "Come in." Aaron said. Hiro entered and sat by Aaron. She was watching a documentary on HB(H)O(E) about Whore houses. "So What's up." He said. She shook her head. "Oh." Hiro looked up. "Ya' know, If we stay here too long Ian will get suspicious.I don't wanna' hurt him." Aaron said, still very enraptured with the program.
5. Ian followed Hiro into the room. 47 had left to get some food and Aaron was fighting with the ever-so-high eric about what DVD to watch. Ian entered the room and Hiro glanced up at him. "I wasn't done." He said. "What else do you have to say?" Hiro looked at him. "What's up with Aaron?" He looked at Hiro trustingly."I can't expect her to tell the truth. She won't want us worrying about her." "She's fine, I guess. We haven't spent much time together." "You like her?" "Well, I don't know. Kinda',I guess." "You kissed her didn't you?" "Yes." Ian looked at Hiro with a melancholy gaze in his eye. "I figured." "How?" "She wasn't as comfortable in my arms."
6.
So the two of you argued then? Or didn?t? Not everyone is going to remain friends once they?ve broken up. I?ve seen quite a bit of both, those who are still friends and those who are not once they?ve broken up. And another thing, you didn?t tell us that all he did was talk about football or hockey; or that he was telling you that you had intimacy issues, we can?t exactly read your mind. ;) You started the thread with the statement of I have intimacy issues, not ?my boyfriend says I have intimacy issues? In fact if you look here: You indicated that he was kind, witty and patient with you. Not that he was nagging you saying you had intimacy issues. I?m a bit confused as to why him asking when it was okay to kiss you is problematic as well. I?ve run into the issue with girls who either expect to be asked or want to just be kissed. And what happened with your friends is irrelevant. Your first kiss is all about you whether or not you got asked first. Your boyfriend, unless you tell him, doesn?t know that you are expecting him to just be spontaneous and kiss you. And as a guy I can tell you that it?s pretty damn hard sometimes to figure out what a girl wants, and it?s not a pleasant experience for a girl to slap and shove you or have a cow if you go to kiss them and they think you are being too forward. Anyway, what I?m getting at is it?s hard to give you advice when we don?t have enough facts to truly understand what?s going on. ;)
Ok. tThe truth is I'm so confused that My mind needed time to sort things out. And I told him he just had to do it But he kept asking. It all started with him asking why I was nervous being around my friends and him. I said That I felt alot of pressure and it made me uncomfortable. He said that he thought I had intimacy issues from the beginning and now he knows for sure. Things didn't get better and he started to complain and get frustrated. It made me feel bad. I beleived what He told me because I didn't know what to think. So I sought help. And no we did't fight.
7. Aaron knocked on the door. A man with bloodshot eyes, dialated pupils and an ignorant smile answered the door. His hair was dirty blonde and messy. "Government, you?" He said to the poeple standing outside the door. "ERIC!!!" Aaron hugged him tightly. "There're ATTACKING!!!" He yelled in a high voice. "Ok. Eric hide in the closet and they will go away." A boy with messy black hair and a tall thin body walked to the door."Hi, Dearest." He said to Aaron. He looked at the other two, pausing and slightly glaring at Hiro. Aaron hugged him tighter than Eric. "Ian!!! I missed you!!!" She squealed. "I know." He said calmly back."How long will you be in?" "I don'know." "Stay as long as you need. We have 1 room open. I assume you'll be sleeping with me,though so these 2 can share a room." Ian kept a steady glare at Hiro for a while before leading them in.
8. All the couples I know who break up with no argument become friends. It's just not athletic stuff i'm sick of but also...well...have you ever tried talking to a rock? And everything we(him mostly) did talk about that he understood was his football games his hockeygames and how I had intimacy issues. He made me feel kinda bad about it after a while of hearing." You have Intimacy issues . You need to tell me when to kiss you. Why do you feel so Awkward around your friends? I'm not just going to kiss you out of no where, you need to tell me when!" So I got rid of him. And all I was saying was that I wanted someone less manly and a little more spontanious. My friends didn't have to ask for their first kiss. Why should I? (Oh, and the poetry thing. I just meant literate. sorry.)
9. The flight to New jersey wasn't long but Aaron was exausted. She leaned on Hiro's shoulder and fell asleep. Hiro put his arm around her and looked at her with a slight smile. He was happy to still be with her. 47 Sat reading a small book. He looked at the two and turned back to his book. An assasin shouldn't fall in love. It always ends in sorrow and remorse. Hiro why are you such a fool to let your emotions take control of you. On the other-hand I could be under-estimating him. He could be using her. A hacker is a good thing to have around. Especially for assasins. He thought while reading. The plane came to a stop and the got off. They stoppd in the lobby to regroup. "We need some where to stay." 47 told them. "Ian will gladly offer his home to us. He's a close frined of mine and a hacker too. We learned to hack together. Hes a year older than me and will do any thing for me." Aaron said. "How can we trust him?" Hiro questioned. "Because I'm his Baby girl. " She smiled stragely. "And..."47 replied. "Ummm....and Me and him..." She looked at Hiro. Then looked at the ground in a fidgety kind of way. "Me and him-" "Ok. We get it!" Hiro said starting to become jealous of this Ian. "We can trust him lets go."
10. The problems solved. I dumped him. He didn't want to be friends afterward so now I think hes kind of an asswhole. :animeangr But anyway I think I need someone... I don't know....mabye a guy who's less masculine. Someone strong yet still kind. (Someone less athletic and more Poetic.)
11. Aaron sat by Hiro, who sat down shortly after 47. She hugged him and cryed. Hiro held her close and Wispered. "Shhh...Be quiet. Don't cry...." 47 looked at the two through the corner of his eye. "There's no time for this!" He said sternly. Aaron turned and wiped a new tear off her face. She thought for a bit and loooked at Hiro and 47. Both looked deep in thought but seemed not to have a clue what to do.She sat thinking and let out a light sigh. "The answer so simple!! Why didn't I realize it before!! All we need to do is use the fire escape ladder!!" She pointed at a sliding glass door wich led to a balcony. On the right hand side of the the balcony was, indded, a fire escape. "Anyone have a laptop? I can breach the hospital computer! I can make it seem like we've never even been here before!" 47 handed Aaron his lap top. She flipped it open and turned it on. Hiro got up and locked the door.Aaron pulled a Cd from her back pocket and slid it in the disk drive. While installing the program Swat and feds rushed to the door and tried to break it down. They fought against the sturdy wooden door and Hiro's body weight but in the end prevailed. The door flew open knocking Hiro down. Aaron looked up and ran to the fallen Hiro's side. She helped him up much to his disapproval and ran back to the sliding glass door wich 47 opened (with force). They all ran down but Aaron failed to keep up. She soon tripped fell unkown to Hiro and 47 who thought she was right behind them. She watched as the assasins fled without her. Feds came rushing around her nd she did as they . She stood and turned with her hands up as they searched her. They discarded two hand guns from her waist. One brave fed insisted on "copping a feel". She gasped and her eyes widened as she felt the man grope her ass. She twisted and kicked him in the groine. They soon after forced her into a vehicle and took off.
12. Everyone knows what I'd do already so, I technically answered the question.
13. As Hiro yelled, Aaron screamed. The shot had hit him and he was now bleeding. He grabbed her and ran and kept running. Aaron gasping to keep up. Hiro's breathe began to hasten as they got farther and farther away. He was beginning to grow tired and dizzy and catching his breathe became hard. He stopped and stumbbled. Then blacked out. The last he head was Aaron screaming his name. He had bleed too much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Later that Night Hiro finally came through and looked around. He looked down at himself and saw no shirt and his bandaged shoulder. He was in a Cleen, white room, a hospital room. He looked around the room and saw a worried Aaron. Her face was grim and tears stained her cheeks. Her hand rested on his. He slowly, painfully sat up. Aaron looked at him. She smiled sadly and carefully, as to not disturb his wound, hugged him. He blushed but hugged back. "I thought you were going to die!" She said starting to cry.
14.
An absolute position is foolish. The world is not black and white.
but this paper has to be.
15.
It is essential to ask yourself what these clones will do or what they will be used for. If they're cloned to be slaves or a bag of replacement organs, certainly not. Personally, I'm not sure what use a human clone has aside from showing we can. But the ability to clone only specific organs might be developed through our efforts in cloning, so I would say leave open a path science can explore for solutions in the real world.
no in betweens I'm afraid. I'm either for it all together or against it, for this paper.
16.
If it's a paper, then you can stop worrying and pick a topic out of a hat. I was under the impression you would actually have a oral debate on this. If you're neutral, then you don't care what side you get, right?
Wow! Sorry if that was any trouble. I feel dumb! :animeshy: :animeswea Anyway any supporting details for no? I need three. Most likley something easy to grasp.
17.
This is what I'm talking about. This debate goes nowhere, and hypothetical questions like these don't belong in a true debate tournament/forum.
He's not a good teacher, ok? In fact if I knew he was the debate teacher I wouldn't have joined. If it helps the paper he gave us with the topics said: Should human cloning be banned? We're acually writing nine persuasiv e essays for this ****ing class. I'm way behind.
18.
At one point in time, I would have said "hell yes" to this. But now...My answer is no clone. No offence to any clones out there. Here's one of my reasons. If we go around cloning people, we have a chance of insest. I mean let's say I die, but my clone's still around, and my sister has a clone. Well, assuming that neither myself or my sister tell the clone that they, we, us, are related, and they decide to have sex, those kid's will be messed up. That's just me. You also have to see where your religion stands on this. If you're Christian, you have to be against it, because Man doesn't have the right to play God by creating life. Before you take a side, consult your local religion expert and see where you should stand. How do you curcumsize a Redneck?
Ok that makes sense but the religion thing dosen't. If god doesn't want it to happen than he would stop it but he allows us to so what does that mean?(Both kittens and sheep have been successfully cloned.)
19. O.k. Say that, in the future, scientists create a way to clone human beings. Would you be for it or against it? What would your reasons for being for/against it be? At this point I'm nutreal about cloning. I however need to be on one side of this bridge for Debate class and need help choosing.
20. I don't have as high hopes for my art work. Most GOOD artists seem to die before there art is truly recognized on a cultural world-wide scale. I honestly don't want a show made of my artwork. I'm more of an underground artist so trading my work up like that would be like an underground band becoming mainstream. I'd technically be a sell-out like Green-day(Not fond of them). I don't want to be that. In fact most of my art is signed with a nickname to keep it anonymous in the future. To sum it up, I really am good, I just don't want recognition.
21. Always drew. Ever since I could hold a pencil(at the age of one). But I was inspired to start drawing manga by the shows .hack//sign and inuyasha. :catgirl: So my inspiration for drawing is that I just won't stop and what keeps me drawing? The need to be better than I all ready am.
22. Ok. My antagonist is a ***** named lesslie I know from school. She won't stop labeling me and currently hates me since I stood up to her witch encouraged others to do the same. Another one is myself since I limit what I do. In other words, I have alot of potential but never use it. :animedepr Kind of depressing.
23.
There's a reason I'm staying well away from the inanimate objects thread. Philosophy is what it is only when it stays attentive to the few basic and utterly crucial questions that have been there since the beginning: what is a being?; how are beings initially given to me, that is, how does a thinking thing (the greek noein, which recently had an anime named after it, can translate as both thinking and perception) basically perceive beings in an immediate and unreflective way?; how is the thinking thing (e.g. human being) unique?; what is truth, as distinct from falsity?; what is the good, and how is it important to thinking?; maybe a couple of others that don't come to mind right now. In any case, declaring everything "subjective" is no longer doing philosophical work. It has ceased to approach these issues in a fundamental way. It is to use a philosophical determination already arrived at to hammer every question into rubble, without at all having clarified the basic elements of what a "subject" is, how we are to take the "chaos" that is the exterior world, and what this "mind" is that supposedly makes up all reality. Any "philosophy" that doesn't pay attention to the basic preliminary clarity of its terms and axioms - and that always means attending to the few age-old questions above - is anything but philosophical. Oh, the topic itself? Uhh, I'm not really good at very much. I know a lot of Star Wars trivia, if that counts.
So that's why my thread is confuseing? Star wars rules!! So does star trekk, Alien, Predator and My fair lady (no clue where that one came from.) I'm a good movie junkie too.
24.
I'm apparently known for giving people awesome hugs, and also for cheering people up right when they need it. I'm also aware of a few people who consider me the best artist at my high school, and I am not, this girl in my AP Art class beasts me, they just don't know her.[/font']
Oh ,yes, hugs. Well, that's more of marcus's, julie's and Hilel's talent. I am however somewhat random (Karina's better at that than I am).
25.
I personally really like childish things, and i rarely think badly upon a person for still being attached to childish things. I personally still love my blankey. Although...it's been forever since i've seen the thing, but i still recall it with fond memories. If i could find it i'd probably start using it again. It was ideal for hot summer evenings when you just wanted a little warmth over your mid section. I don't know why, but i can rarely get to sleep unless there's a blanket over me, i think it's a sort of comfort thing. I mean, i can be dead tired, but unless there's a blanket on me i can't get to sleep. I also still love my old SNES system. ^L^
I had a Blankey, too! My mother took it away and put it in a keepsake box. I was five then and started bawling when she told me it ran away. She gave me a different one but it wasn't blankey so I rejected it. I too have trouble getting to sleep without a blanket. It makes me feel safe and secure. If I don't have one I feel too exposed, to "in the open", as if I were nude so it keeps me wide awake and too aware to sleep.
