1. The 90's... Oh how I miss them. Everything was so darned easy when I was a kid. :animedepr Anyway, I have a lot of good anime memories from back then too. First of all there was Thumbelina. BEST MOVIE EVER. Well, it wasn't originally called Thumbelina. It wasn't even originally a movie. It was actually originally a 26 episode anime called "Oyayubi Hime" (or "Thumb Princess") done by Enoki Films that aired in Japan in 1992. My guess is that it must have been compressed into a movie when it was dubbed. Anyway, I absolutely LOVED that movie, and I watched it, like, every day when I was a toddler. Tee hee, I was brought up on anime. :D After that I was obsessed with Sailor Moon, then with Pokemon. I did the Pokemon card thing and everything. One of those elementary school fads. Tee hee, that was hilarious, now that I look back on it... And then I was obsessed with Digimon. ^o^ Ha ha, what a great show. A little later I got into Yu-Gi-Oh for a while, but that wore off. Then I kinda had a break until I started watching Inu Yasha in grade 7. Ah... What good memories. Of course, I've been exposed to many more diverse Animes since, through fansubs, but I will never forget my anime roots. :p
  2. Episode 8: Yeah, it was pretty funny. Didn't really see that one coming. :animeswea There isn't anything funnier than seeing a
distinguished old guy like Watari serving ice cream like that. Or eating it.
:D And, yes, the Ryuk moments were absolutely hilarious. :p Anyway, I was once again very impressed with how clever both Light and L are. They're really very well matched. Sure didn't take Light very long to
discover those cameras
. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. As for that
chip eating scene
, it has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen. :animeswea Anyway, it's refreshing to see a bit of humour.
  3. Ha, ha. BOY did I want these... Well, any of these really... Of course, I'm not sure that these were the exact dolls that I wanted, but my friend and my sister and I were absolutely OBESSED with Sailor Moon when we were kids, and my friend had a Sailor Moon doll and I was so jealous! :animeangr Tee hee. Never actually got it, but that's okay. I didn't need it. :animeswea
  4. 1. What religion are you CURRENTLY following? If you don't have one, then why? I'm a Christian. I'm not a strict follower of any specific denomination, but I am Protestant. For the first part of my life I attened (and was baptized at) a United church, but my family switched to a Mennonite church when I was still quite young. 2. Why do you follow that religion? Parents, personal reasons, etc? Well, I was raised as a Christian by my parents, but as I grew older, and actually started understanding more about the Christian faith, and forming my own views, it became more about what I believed, and less about what my parents taught me (although I'm still grateful for the rearing my parents gave me, and I baisically agree with everything they taught me). I was lucky to grow up in a largely Mennonite environment (since I'm in the German Bilingual program at school), but I suppose that did make me a bit sheltered. I can imagine that some of you (maybe) are thinking that I was brainwashed into the whole Christianity thing, since I was "raised" that way, and maybe that was true when I was a kid, but certainly not now. If I didn't agree with the Christian teachings, I would have dropped Christianity long ago. Actually, my views are different than other Christians', in some ways. I REALLY like science. I find it absolutely fascinating, and it bothers me when other Christians avoid and frown upon it, for I believe that science was as much the invention of God (almost a tool for him, really) as everything else in this universe. If he created everything, then he also created the science that makes those things work, and do the things they do. Science is an undeniable element in our world, and so (in my opinion) is God. 3. Do you ever feel that people often critisize you because of these beliefs? No, I don't. And this is probably because (as I mentioned above) I've always gone to school with Christians, and just about all my friends have been Christians, so, yes, I've been very sheltered. I prefer to think of it as lucky, though. 4. This one may spark a little bit of arguing: Do you believe that your religion is the one true religion? If so provide evidence. Hmmm... Well, I think anyone with a really strong faith in their religion will believe that theirs is the "one true religion". But I'm not here to convert anybody, nor do I think I CAN. I respect other religions, even if I don't quite agree with them. But, yeah... I believe in the Christian teachings, so I guess I do believe that it's the "true religion"... So that's just a very brief overview of what I believe. Of course, there's a whole lot that I haven't included, which makes up a huge part of who I am today, but I'm not here to write an autobiography. :p
  5.
*looks at the post above* Apparently no one can handle sarcasm anymore. Pity.
Gah! You were being sarcastic? I'm so sorry! But there was really no way for me to know! I feel so bad. :animedepr I guess I just got a little worked up. I actually DID think you were serious though. :animeswea
  6.
man ima dude i'm straight but i gotta say that L guy is defently hot
Hey, I agree with you on that one, but I'm a girl. :D Wow. Episode 7 was incredible. It was amazing in the way it kept the suspense so potent from beginning to end. It was pretty incredible to see the events unfold,
in the mere period of time it took Naomi to walk home
. It was very engaging, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I thought it was amazing how I really didn't know what was going to happen. It kept me guessing. I have to say, I was really believing that
Naomi would survive--at least through this episode--and she came really close, too
. Unfortunately, Light,
with his evil genius, was able to manipulate her into giving him her real name
. That's a pretty dishonorable way to
kill someone
. I can't think of anything that could have been worse. Not only did he
kill her, but he made her go through ultimate anguish and depression, before she inevitably took her own life
. That's pretty dispicable. The ending was REALLY powerful. And very sad.
The final shot of
Naomi ascending the stairs to the noose[/spoiler'] worked really well for me, although others might find it to be over the top.
Likewise--this shot worked really well for me, too. I didn't find it over the top at all. It was very effective. The part where
Naomi handed Light her driver's license
was also very effective--the music added a lot of feeling. The snow, as she walked away, was also a great touch, and I found
Light ultimately revealing to her that he's Kira
was rather cruel. Geyah... I found
Ryuk's laughter
so creepy. It really gave me the chills. :animedepr It was interesting to see a touch of comedy in this episode, too. Matsuda's pretty funny. :p It was also interesting to see
Watari's face
. L sure likes his tea... :animeswea
  7.
I lost track of what everyone was talking about. Anyway. Money, the root of wickedness? Nonsense. I'm a gold digger in training, so I may be slightly biased... but I think that money is a solid foundation to everything. It gets you what you want, when you want it. If you have a handful of cash, you can be anything you want. Besides, who ever said money can't buy love and happiness? That's some BS they are feeding you so you grow up with "morals." You want love? Go pick up a hooker. Money sure does buy you some time with those foxy ladies. Or men. Whatever floats your boat. Worried about being evil? Well, if it's a sin, sins are forgiven... so whip that wallet out and do whatever you damn please.
Wow. I find this post tremendously disturbing. I've been following this discussion for some time now, but I haven't actually posted anything because I don't generally care to express my opinions... Especially in intense debates like this one. :animeswea So you think people shouldn't have morals? You think people can be evil because sins are forgiven? Well buddy, if everybody thought that way, people like Hitler would be ruling the world, committing horrendous sins, making life a living hell, all the while thinking "It's okay--I'll be forgiven". You REALLY think that money can buy love and happiness? Just "go pick up a hooker" you say. Do you REALLY believe that that's love?!? There's a HUGE difference between love and sex. The best things in life are free. Money can't buy you happiness, and it certainly can't buy you love. Material posessions don't give you happiness either. That's just greed, and that doesn't lead to anything good. Why are you trying to defend greed? Why are you trying to defend EVIL? I REALLY hope you don't plan on living your life by this standard, or with this logic, because it isn't at all a good thing. :animeangr Argghh... I just had to get that off my chest.
  8. Well, I'm pretty content where I am, here in Canada, but I've always wanted to travel to a lot of different places, and experience a lot of different cultures. And I probably will, once I graduate from High School. Well, I guess we'll see... It'll depend on what I'm up to at that time in my life... I guess I'd really like to be in Thailand right now, since my mom is over there teaching English. I miss her. :animedepr I get to go there this February though! :D It'll be especially good, since I get to escape the Canadian winter for a week. :animeswea I'm sure it'll be a great experience. Obviously I'd also LOVE to go to Japan, for obvious reasons. It's not only the anime that I'm interested in though. It's a beautiful country, with a really interesting and TOTALLY different culture. That would be so fascinating. I'd love to see their crazy fashion, and they also have great cusine. :D Sushi... :tasty: There are SO many other places I'd like to go (including, like, every country in Europe), but Japan has been the country I've most wanted to go to for a long time, and I aslo really want to see my mom. So those are my top 2. :animesmil
  9. Well, here are my favorites (in no particular order). 1. FullMetal Alchemist ? Ahh? What praise is there to give to FMA that hasn't already been given? What can I say; it's an absolute masterpiece that will go down in Anime history. The story is incredibly engaging and unique, the characters are excellent, and very likeable? I think one of the main reasons why these characters are so likeable is because they're?well?human. The emotions they experience are REAL. They make mistakes, feel pain, struggle with their own internal demons? None of them are perfect. One can't help but be drawn to them because they're so true to reality? So like US. I find that this anime is one of the best that I've seen in the sense that it portrays the human mind very well. That is to say, the character development is excellent. While other shows I've seen have overlooked the impact of the ?killing factor?, this show seems to place a lot of value on life. When someone dies, it's a big deal, even if the one being killed is a
greedy homunculus
. The plot is amazing. It has just the right amount of action, comedy and seriousness, and the animation is unbelievable. It invokes so many emotions, and I think that's a pretty great feat. An anime like this comes around but once in a blue moon. :D 2. Vision of Escaflowne ? I am in LOVE with this anime. I know it's actually a pretty old series, but I'm still in the process of watching the episodes. I am nearing the end though, which is somewhat bitter-sweet. While I really want to know how the story ends, I think I will be slightly dismayed when I don't have any more episodes to watch. Oh well. All good things must come to an end, right? Anyway, the thing I REALLY love about this show is the plot. I'm really into this kind of mystical fantasy type of story, and this plot is particularly appealing to me. It's one of the most engaging plots I've ever come across, out of all the anime I've seen. I also really love the characters. I feel like they're all my close friends! :animesmil The character development in this show is remarkable. The characters all have unique personalities, and it just feels like you get to know them really well throughout the series. The romantic aspect of the story is also fairly appealing to me. There's nothing quite like a good love story. ;) Gah, I don't usually express things like this, but I think Van is SO HOT. Wow. Sorry about that. :animeswea The action aspect of it is quite good. Not too much, not too little. It also has several very powerful scenes, which can either make my heart race or stop. So, I guess I'll see how it ends? :p 3. Gundam SEED Destiny ? The Gundam SEED saga is one of my favorites (which is why it's on my list, duh). I watched the original SEED, and I loved it, but I?m now a good way into the SEED Destiny series, and I think it's quite superior to its predecessor. I find that the character development, among other aspects, is a great deal better in Destiny. The new characters that are introduced are very good, likable characters, although the characters that come back from SEED are still excellent. The plot (which I suppose applies to both SEED and SEED Destiny) is BRILLIANT. I'm really enthusiastic about this since its Sci-Fi. I really love Sci-Fi (I'll admit that I absolutely adore STAR WARS). It's just such a fantastic story. It really addresses a lot of issues about our world today, and it shows how terrible war is. 4. AIR ? Well, I've seen both the TV series and the movie of this anime, and although I prefer the movie to the TV series, both are magnificent! One of the best things about this anime are the characters. They're so great! They're really funny, and really lovable. It's a fairly short series with a really sad ending, but the plot is remarkable; really great story. Although it has hardly any action worth mentioning, its other qualities more than make up for the lack thereof. The comedy is fantastic, the character development is brilliant (its kind of the main theme of the series), and its really moving and powerful. 5. Death Note ? Well, this show has only been on for a little while, and I've been following the episodes as they've been subbed, but I can say quite surely that this series has already made its way onto my top 5 list. :D I've never read the Manga, but that's okay, because I think I'm really going to enjoy watching the plot unfold in the anime. The plot is one of the most imaginative, and controversial, stories I've ever heard. Its great ground for discussion though, and its great in the sense that it really makes you think. The story is so engaging that it always keeps you on the edge of your seat, and, once the episode is done, it leaves you yearning for more. The animation is superb; one of the best things about this anime. I also find the characters really intriguing. They're very deep, intellectual types, and, although they're not always particularly likable, they're VERY interesting.
  10. Here it is! My version of han ki-tae's picture on the left, my own character on the right. Tee hee, I kinda took the idea of him working at a cafe and rolled with it. :D
  11. Hmmm... Well, since nobody else seems to be doing so, I'll give your latino dude a shot. Claimed By the way, I loved your version of my pic, han ki-tae! :D Very nice. (EDIT: My pictures are posted in my next post.)
  12. About episode 6: It was interesting to actually see
L in person
(knobbly toes and all ;) ). One thing that I find really remarkable about L are these little characteristic quirks he seems to have (i.e. squatting in his chair, putting his thumb to his lip...). It's something that I haven't really seen in other anime characters, and I think it's a really interesting addition to his already very unique persona... The
similarities between Light and L
also became very apparent in this episode, so I finally have a better understanding of that discussion. :animeswea It almost seems as though he's more interested in winning against Kira than saving lives, but I suppose, deep down, he must care about that as well... I guess I'll have get to know him a bit better before I can determine that. It was also really interesting to see almost a "battle of wits" going on between these two charcaters. It showed how alike they really are. It's really a very unfortunate thing that Light
found out about Ray Penbar's fiancee's suspisions so quickly
. I thought that it was almost unsettling how
Light was acting so light-hearted and trustworthy
. I suppose there's something to be said about his acting skills.

All I can say is, WOW. What an incredible story. After watching the TV series of this anime, I couldn't wait to see the movie. I watched it yesterday, and I loved it. I was very impressed. It was interesting to see the differences between the movie and the tv series. Anywho, first of all, the tv series: I watched this anime before I watched the movie, and I fell in love with it. I wanted to spread the episodes out so they wouldn't be done as fast, but every time I watched an episode I just couldn't wait to see the next one! I was immediatly captivated by the stunning animation and the beautiful music. I fell in love with each of the characters the moment they made their appearance on the screen, each of them having a unique and lovable personality. I'm especially fond of Yukito. (Tee hee, "RAMEN-SET!") :D The story was incredibly touching, and it also had just the right amount of comedy in it, which is something I love in an anime. Although slow to get started at first, the first few episides were still very entertaining yet moving, as Yukito and Misuzu got to know eachother, and the stories of Kano and Minagi were told. I also enjoyed Haruko and Yukito's
"drinking-evenings"
. :D Haruko is hilarius. It was only in episode 7 that the series started to focus on the real root of the plot, which was
Misuzu and Yukito's relationship and the curse affecting them.
Episode 7 was very touching, and very sad. It revealed that
Misuzu was not in very good health. It continued to decline throughout the episode, and the rest of the series. It was heartwrenching to see her that way.
The next 2 episodes focused on the story of Kanna and Ryuuya. These episodes explained
the curse that Misuzu was under
. What happened to Kanna is
so sad... and unjust
. And episode 10 was a look-back episode...
through the eyes of a crow that Yukito apparently turned into. I find this part of the story slightly strange... I don't really understand WHY Yukito became a crow. And he just kinda stays that way for the rest of the series.
The last episode was SO SAD. I cried like a baby when
Misuzu died
. I wish Yukito
hadn't remained a crow... If he had turned back, it would have seemed like at least one of them would be able to continue to live on
. Anyway, the movie was actually quite different, and I liked it more than the tv series. It tells the same story as the tv series, but with some key differences. For one thing,
Yukito and Misuzu's relationship is VERY different in the movie. They have more of a romantic relationship, whereas, in the tv show, Yukito seemed like he was a great deal older than Misuzu, and it was just kinda a very close friendship. I like their relationship in the movie better though.
:D Also, Yukito
never becomes a crow
. In the tv show,
Misuzu dies only with Haruko by her side because Yukito is a crow, but in the movie she dies with both Yukito and Haruko with her. After that, Yukito just continues his journey. I liked the ending of the movie WAY more than the ending of the tv series
. There are also a lot of other differences, but it would take way too long to go into detail about all of them. :animeswea The animation in the movie is also slightly different, but both are excellent. I LOVED the movie. I felt that the differences in the movie compared to the tv show made the movie better than the show. Anyway, the whole AIR story is INCREDIBLE. It's very powerful.
  14. Wow. I was really impressed with episode 5. It really made an impression, and left me thinking. This episode has really changed the way I feel about Light. I was never that fond of him,
considering that he's killing people and all, but he had always stuck to the criminals, which made it seem like he was at least a LITTLE bit decent, but now that he killed off all the FBI officers... Well, I've pretty much lost any respect I ever had for him. Those were innocent people, but Light needed them out of his way... How dispicable.
When Light
came up behind Ray Penbar and told him "I'm Kira, and if you turn around I'll kill you",
I pretty much started freaking out. At that point I was a little sad, because I figured
there was no way Ray would survive. The whole Light controlling Ray thing, though, was a great scene. I thought it was really well done. The part where Ray died after exiting the train was really powerful. I'm really interested to see what his fiancee is going to do... I'm rooting for her.
All I can say is, what an annoying ending! I'm going to be waiting impatiently for the next episode so I can see what will happen
with L... It'll be interesting to see him actually interacting with other people.
15.
^ Well according to Anime News Network. Inu Yasha has 167 episodes. Compared to Naruto which has 211+ (still going as far as I know). While DBZ has like 300 episodes. (I maybe exaggerating a bit seeing as I didn't check on it.)
Yeah, you're right. Inu Yasha does have 167 episodes. I was just making a REALLY approximate estimation. I sorta just rounded off to the nearest 100. :animeswea As for those other shows, I think they're too long too, which is probably why I'm not that into them. I guess I just prefer the shorter series. Ok, a little off topic, but I'm done.
  16. Gah! Inu Yasha needs to be revised. Just MAKE IT SHORTER! :animeangr Lots of the stuff in the plot is real quality stuff, but after, like, 200 episodes, it starts to get boring! The stuff at the beginning was great but now... It needs to be shorter and more to the point. It would be cool to see better quality of animation and a little more emotional depth, too. I guess it wouldn't really be the same, but it would be better. That's just my opinion, though... :animesigh
  17. Erm... Well this looks really cool, and I don't want this thread to die out... So, if it's okay Dragon Warrior, I'll claim han ki-tae's picture. It's just that it's been way over 24 hrs, and you still haven't put up a picture. So (I really hope you don't mind), I'll claim that picture. I'll put up my entry soon. Claimed Here it is! Hope you like it. You can draw my character if you like. :D
  18. I finally got to watch episode 4. I've been so busy... Well, I discovered that I was wrong in asssuming that Light would
give up half his lifespan for Death God's eyes...
Now that I think about it, it was kind of a stupid assumption on my part. He's way too smart to do something like that. I thought this episode was an interesting change compared to the previous episodes. It was interesting to see Light
discover the extent of what the Death Note is capable of
, and I found it really refreshing to see
Light go on a date
. I liked the
bus scene
, and the
hijacker's voice
didn't really bother me... It's not like it was great voice acting or anything, it's just such a minor part that I don't really care. It really sucks that Light's
out to get Ray Penber
. I like his character. Can't wait to find out what'll happen next!
  19. So, I just finished watching the AIR TV series...
The end is SO FREAKING SAD.
I cried my eyes out when
Misuzu died because of that curse... :animecry: What a depressing way to end a series!
Such a good series though... I REALLY want to see the movie now. I'm gonna watch it soon.
  20. Ha ha. It's kinda funny how much this topic has been argued. It's absolutely ridiculous. I mean, it's not like the voice actors in Japan are way more talented than the VAs in North America, or vise versa. It is my opinion that if an anime is good, it's good, and if an anime is bad, it's bad, no matter who does the voice acting. In fact, I don't think I've ever even heard voice acting in an anime that I thought was really terrible. If the character's voice is annoying, that's most likely because it was meant to be that way. So... whatever. I don't know why people make such a fuss over this kind of thing. However, I do understand why people tend to pick sides when it comes to subs vs. dubs. The thing is, it's not about people's voices "not matching the character", it's about what you're used to. If you're a person who generally watches the subs of anime before they're dubbed, it's only natural that you're not going to like that dubbed version as much. If you're used to the voice of a character, and you got to know the character that way, and that voice essentially IS the character, it's no wonder why when you all of a sudden hear this character with a different voice you immediately feel uncomfortable with it, and you start telling yourself the lie that the dub sucks, and hence that all dubs suck. It can go the other way, too. If you're used to the dubbed voice, you might not be all that crazy about hearing the original Japanese voice. For example, I happen to like the dubbed version of Fullmetal Alchemist more than the subbed version. This isn't because of the VAs at all. The VAs on both sides of the world did a great job. It's just that I saw the dubbed version first, and I've become attached to the characters with these voices. I've never actually seen a dub of a show that I originally saw as a sub, but I can say that there are some animes that I'm watching right now that I've found myself hoping they never make a dub of. I just love the characters so much, and I feel like if they change the voices I'd somehow be losing a part of those characters. I don't really want to see them any other way. So yeah, I understand that completely. Of course, it's not only about the voice acting. Some people prefer watching dubs simply because they don't like reading subtitles. Which is completely understandable. Sometimes it's nice to just watch the pictures and just understand what's being said, without having to worry about reading the little words at the bottom of the screen. I did find watching subs kinda strange at first, but I got used to it really fast. I guess it just depends on the person. And then there are bad dubs. I am not for a minute going to deny that certain companies have mutilated certain animes in the past. I completely understand why people would rather watch the subs of those animes. However, this IS just because they were trying to target a younger audience, and they wanted to make it age appropriate. One plus about subs though is that you're exposing yourself to a different language and culture, and you do actually pick up on some of the Japanese words. It also kinda sucks when the theme songs are changed in the dubs, so subs are good for that, too. On the flip side though, one plus about dubs is that it's available to a wider range of people who could potentially become anime fans. I don't think there are very many anime fans out there who DIDN'T see thier first anime in the dubbed form. As for me, I don't really care. Subs, Dubs... whatever. Whatever I see first is probably what I'll stick with. The voice acting is usually always good, and lately I've found that a lot of good dubs have been coming out that haven't changed any of the original material. I say, we should be thankful for our anime, no matter what form it comes in. Yet the sub/dub war rages on...
  21. So, I saw episode 3 today. Pretty intense stuff. It's pretty crazy that
Light's Dad is with the police.
It surprised me at the time, but now that I think about it, it's really not that surprising at all. It's actually kind of a predictable twist in the plot, but effective all the same. All I can say is I think that L is incredible. Pretty smart guy. It's going to be really interesting watching how L and the Police handle this case. I mean,
3 officers already resigned
. And I can completely understand why. I know Light is a genius and everything, but you'd have to be a complete idiot to
give up half your life for Death God eyes. Lots of people probably already know what Light does because they read the manga, but I don't. I'm guessing that he's going to go for it though. Idiot.
22. If I had to describe this anime in one word, it would be INTENSE. I've never really watched an anime quite like it before. I haven't read any of the mangas, so I'm looking forward to the plot being revealed to me through the episodes... I've seen the first 2 episodes of this series. I really like the animation style, and the fact that it invokes so much thought and reflection. It?s a great anime in the sense that it brings up a lot of issues that can be debated and discussed, and it also gives you a great psychological insight into the minds of these characters, and the human mind in general. This anime is about a very controversial topic. It really makes you think. What would happen if something like the Death Note existed in our world? I believe that something like what is happening in the story could easily happen in real life. It's just the unfortunate nature of human-kind. It?s actually kind of scary to think of what we, as human beings, might be capable of. Light may be an intelligent guy, but
his morals are obviously a bit skewed. He may be killing off some evil criminals, but how can he really believe that it?s his place to pass judgment on the rest of human kind? He obviously has a few problems of his own. Just like what was said in the first episode ? Light: ?Then I can build a world inhabited only by those people I decide are good!? Ryuk: ?You do something like that, the only one left with a bad personality will be you?. I think that what Ryuk said (even though he?s not exactly a good guy) has a lot of truth in it. And he wants to ?rule over the new world as God?? Wow. Nutcase. :animeswea
However, I think that the way the character Light is portrayed in this anime is just right. Not because I already knew the character from the manga,
but because I think it must be a pretty difficult thing to pull off a convincing evil genius, who?s also realistic. I think the evil laugh is so cliché, but for the scene in the first ep., it?s perfect. Not too over the top or anything.
Ryuk I find slightly disturbing, but I?m sure that was the intension. I think L looks like a VERY interesting character? I?d love to find out more about him. I love how he
finds out Light's location so fast with his tricky little plan... Genius.
Overall, I was impressed by the animation in this show. I especially liked that
intense ?writing scene?
, and I think the artistic effect in the OP and ED themes is excellent. This show looks really intriguing, and I look forward to the rest of the series!
  23. Oooo... I like this show. I just started watching Tsubasa Chronicle recently. I think I've seen 5 episodes. I really like it sofar... Tee hee. I really like Kurogane. :D He's my fave character. The story is really interesting and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the series. I haven't read any of the mangas. I'm not much of a manga reader. I DO know for sure that there are episodes from the 2nd season ON THE NET. I can't say I know for sure whether this series is lisenced or not, though. I guess it's just a question of what you feel comfortable with downloading... There ARE episodes from the 2nd season available though.
  24. I think Hayao Miyazaki is a GENIUS. I love all of his movies, and I own all of them except for Porco Rosso, which I plan on buying soon! His movies are amazing and inspiring. The artwork is incredible and so beautiful, and his attention to detail is unbelievable. My favorite movie by him is Castle in the Sky. I'm also a fan of his Nausicaa Mangas. Anyway, he keeps on saying that he's going to retire (he is 65, after all), but it seems like he just can't tear himself away. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he's making yet another movie (his 9th with Studio Ghibli), which is supposed to come out in summer 2008. Is anyone else as excited about this as I am? I'm really happy that I get to experience the magic of Miyazaki once again! :D
  25. I suppose I look a lot like Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon. My hair is a lot like hers, and I'm really tall like her. As for my personality... I guess it's pretty resemblant to Amy/Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon. Which makes me sound pretty obsessed with Sailor Moon, but those are the only examples I can think of. :animeswea I'm kinda similar personality-wise to Hitomi from Vision of Escaflowne too, though.
