1. I suggest using that ability that lets your character start off with a full ATB bar at the start of a battle, and also try using limit breaks. Seeing as limit breaks take priority over any other attacks, including the Cactuar's escape. I suggest you use Irvine's Fire shot, it's a sure way to take out groups of Cactuars.
2. High in the clouds above New York, an army awaits. Clothed in white robes and pure-silver mails, wings retracted. Armed with master-crafted swords, the finest longbows, glaives and lances. White shields, all with a two-winged crest engraved on the front of them. The Holy legion. Leading the army of angels stands Simikiel. He holds the sword Apragsin high up, ready to issue his command. He looks down to the surface, seeing a wave of demons crash into the city from the shoreline. Simikiel brings the Apragsin down, pointing it down to the streets of the evil-ridden city. Simikiel: Charge. The angels spread their wings, and swooped down, brandishing their weapons. The ones armed with lances launched first, lances held out strongly infront of them to pierce demons as they swept through the streets. Next went the ones with glaives to clean up the rest of the lesser evils. And now came the main attack. Angels with bows and swords flew down from the skies to join the skirmish. Simikiel lead them into the streets, and begun the slaughter of the satanic creatures. One after another, Simikiel takes their heads with his sword, Apragsin. Mercilessly, he strikes them down, lining the streets with blood. Effortlessly, hordes of them are annhilated with a few slashes of the Apragsin. Simikiel grins. It's been awhile.

4. Maverick Hunter HQ was buzzing when the squad got back. The missile had halted the base to standstill, full alert, with many preparing for the worst. The Hunter's SDI missile defence hadn't activated itself for some reason, and the missile slipped through, unharmed, fully armed. Firewalls were down. Turrets and other defence structures were offline. Hackers. The bane of a computer-reliant civilization. As he Scrolled over pages and pages of reports, Signas noticed a pattern--These Hack signatures matched the ones found just over a year ago, when an unknown hacker cracked into the Maverick Hunter main database. Signas threw the papers down on his desk. Someone knew their system. And he'd be damned if he let them keep playing the Hunters like this. Signas: Get our best counter-hackers onto this guy, ASAP. Operator: Yes, sir. Signas turned around, hearing the doors to his office swing open. In front of him stood the Elite squadron. Signas gave the group a quick once over. Many of them looked damaged, and Xion and Fenir were nowhere to be seen. Signas: I... take it you were successful? Demos: Your mission was virtually a death trap. We encountered two heavily armed Cyborgs, two Mavericks and three Replimasters. Xion and Fenir are both critically injured in the Infirmary, and I'm -this close- to kicking your ass.. Demos heard a small snicker behind him. He knows the voice at once. The Veteran hunter clenched his fists and teeth, and closed his eyes, turning his head to the left to catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of his eye. Zero: You probably deserved it. You managed to let a missile through. What'd you do? Miss it? It's pretty big. Or maybe you just didn't fire at all. What'd you do, drop your buster and-- Before Zero could finish his sentence, Demos had landed a massive left hook straight into the crimson hunter's jaw, sending him spinning to the marble floor. His synthetic titanium jawbone was cracked, and a massive gash dominated his cheek, leaking out a dark red fluid. Demos continued barking at Signas like nothing had happened, while Zero sprawled on the ground, holding his face. Demos: ...What's more, the tower collapsed. Looks like you won't have any problems with that anymore. Unless you're keeping something else from us. Demos glared at Signas coldly, before walking swiftly out of his office, waving his hand to the Elite squadron, signalling their dismissal. This sortie was officially over. As Demos walked out the large oak doors, Signas called him once more. Signas: Demos... You haven't seen Proteus around, have you? We can't locate him anywhere in the facility. Demos: I can't say that I have. Maybe once pretty boy down there gets his face glued back together, you'll have him go have a look. It's all he's good for. Demos smirked at Zero, and walked out. Elite squadron followed after him, all heading their seperate ways for the time being. Signas ordered a medic to his office, and then went back to looking over reports.

7. Well, it's that time. The twist I mentioned? Four of you are leaving. Medra. Juuthena. NeoCactuar. Ginnylyn. Enjoy your last post in the house, you guys. It's been great having you here.
8. My Avatar is Unit 02 from NGE. Mysterious, no? ^_^

I'm in the same boat as Rai... I can adapt to anything... But if you ask me, my favourite style would have to be Horror/Serious. Haven't had one of those in ages, though.. -.-
10. Name: Simikiel (Angel of Vengeance) Age: Several Million years, in Earthly measurement. Alignment: Good. Race: Archangel. Short Bio: Simikiel is a highly decorated General in the Holy Army and guardian of the first Heaven. He has seen many comrades fall in battle, but has survived through it all. His skill is yet to be paralleled. Weapons: Apragsin; The Sword of God - A sword crafted by Smithes from the highest heavens. The sword, said to have gained blessing from God himself is the finest blade to grace the universe. Made from a thousand shards of silver, the Apragsin is invulnerable and embued with Holy energy. Only those with the permission of god may wield it. Spells: Cross - A cross of pure light that can be manipulated by the caster. It's power ranges greatly. Glory - Spreading his wings out fully, the caster inflicts judgement on the target with a massive storm of white lightning. Armagediel - Death rains down from the skies in the form of white crosses of solid energy. Vengeance - Arguably Simikiel's 'signature' spell, the Apragsin lights up with Holy energy, and can be used with devestating power. Simikiel also glows with a white aura during this state, and becomes much stronger. Edit; Here we go. Rough, but you get the idea.

12. You don't. Not yet. And the temple of the ancients is on the southern most island, to the mid-east. Near Mideel, below Fort condor..
13. I know a guy who was on the dole (y'know, unemployment benefit from the government), and seeing as he had no money, he got everyone a Dole brand pineapple. I thought that was pretty clever, really. As for me, I rarely get anyone anything. No cash. I'll send cards when I can.
14. Okay, Listen. Here's what's going on. Iota and Warlock have headed back to Iota's Mini Emotion. They're leaving. Fenir is already at HQ, in the infirmary. Everyone else (Nova included ;)) are heading back to HQ in Alpha. Shadow is the exception... He's dead, or something. Proteus is strapped to a missile. Massacre is (slightly) damaged, and retreating. It can only be presumed that Gunner and Karman have escaped, or were destroyed. Only time will tell. There. Everything is cleared up.
15. Never heard of ATB, but I like all the others you listed. It is kinda weird having Coldplay in there though... oO;
16.
Originally posted by Domon Uh when was Evageloin made? Because i know that the gundam genre started in 1979. When did Evageloin start? Becasue i don't think gundam would be a rip off.
Evangelion aired in 1995, If memory serves me. But the Mecha anime genre has been around even longer than 1979, heh heh. I don't think Evangelion is a rip off of anything, really.
17. Well, I want them out of my house. Now. Thusly, I hold the most Spectacular eviction ever. Four people are leaving. Everyone's a nominee. It's pandemonium as we count down to the final housemates.

We have some family from the States coming over. It'll be good to see them again. I should also be there for the opening of the Two Towers... Maybe I'll see some of the stars. oO;

The Tribe

I used to watch that, awhile back... I think it was filmed in New Zealand, or something like that. But I've heard it's gotten lame in recent seasons..
20. FFVII: Wall Market was quite well done. I did like Kalm, though. FFVIII: Ooh, so many cool places. Like the Shumi village, or Balamb Garden.. The great forests of Esthar were cool too. And the deep sea research center... Great. Not mentioning the Cetra ruins... FFIX: Although I didn't really like FFIX, I liked the scenery. That big tree place, surrounded by the sandstorm, with all the Burmecians... That was really cool. I won't bore you all with the details of my favourite places in the NES/SNES Final Fantasies, heh heh. :whoops:
21. Reverb, Iota and Nova stood awed watching Demos annihilate the Replimaster Tracer. Even Gigabyte and Revolver were shocked as they saw their comrade reduced to a smouldering pulp by one Hunter. Reverb was the first to turn back to the Replimasters, smirking. Seeing Demos' extravagant victory had merely given him even more confidence. Reverb: You're next. Gigabyte turned slowly to face Reverb, a sarcastic smile on his metalic face. He closed his eyes and chuckled to himself. Gigabyte: Tracer was weak. You shall have no such luck with me. Reverb: Wrong. Compared to me.. You're obsolete. Gigabyte snarled at Reverb, and drew a massive buster, aiming it at him. Reverb casually took a fighting stance, and proceeded to skillfully dodge every shot of plasma that Gigabyte threw his way. Nova and Iota ducked down behind some rubble on the derelict rooftop, watching as Reverb fought. Demos stood to the side, watching as Reverb demonstrated his agility. The large Replimaster unloaded his weapon furiously, trying in vain to hit the nimble Hunter. He lowered his buster, allowing it to cool and reload. Reverb smiled. This was his chance. With a swift and unpredictable motion, he drew his Progressive Sword, switching it on, and swinging it with great force at Gigabyte. He hit armour, and felt as the sword passed through it like a hot knife through butter. Gleaming, he jumped backwards, and was surprised by what he saw. Revolver had jumped in front of Gigabyte, taking the hit for him. Revolver had lost half of his upper torso, and an arm. the massive clean cut leaked out fuel, artificial blood and coolants, many tubes and wires flailing around from within. His eyes were closing, and he struggled to stay upright. But on his face was a steady grin. Reverb leant on his sword, curiously watching the dying Replimaster. Revolver: I shall... destroy you... At any cost... Revolver rips the remaining left-half of his chestplate off, grabbing a small blue handle over where his heart would be. He holds it tightly. Gigabyte: Revolver! Revolver: Flee. I'll take them and the remanents of the tower with me. Nova recognises the handle. Manual Self-Destruct. His eyes widen and he calls out to Reverb. Nova: Reverb! That's his manual self-destruct trigger! Don't let him pull it! Reverb quickly turned back to Revolver, picking his sword up. But it's too late. Gigabyte has already jumped from the side of the tower, using his Dash engine to glide away from the tower and to safety. Revolver laughs manically, coughing up blood and fuel as his Micro-Fusion generator drains all of it's coolant, and begins to overheating process. All over his armour, thin cracks of light and energy began to emerge, showing that his power core's detonation was nearly at hand. Reverb thought fast. Then he remembered. His Left shoulder module grew slightly taller, and opened up, a complex Positron rifle folding out of it. He grabbed the handle of the rifle, and swung it around, aiming it at the near-meltdown Revolver. Squeezing on the trigger tightly, he fired a volley of high-density green energy blasts, which rammed into Revolver, pinning him back against a generator. A few shots from the powerful rifle hit the generator, causing a minor explosion. With a low rumble, the Generator tipped foward, crushing Revolver, and breaking through the floor. The Hunters on top of the Tower approached the Silo doors, looking down. The Generator and Revolver fell down the massive missile shaft, surrounded by rubble and debris. Reverb cups his hands and shouts down the massive complex. Reverb: Fire in the hole! Revolver smacks into the lowest level of the Silo, the exhaust bay. The exhaust bay was designed to withstand fire and explosions--But nothing of this magnitude. Revolver's framework exploded in a glorius display of light and fire, a massive stalk of flame shooting upwards through the shaft of the tower. It erupted up through the open Silo doors, sending a pillar of fire into the dusk sky. But before the squadron had a chance to marvel at the splendour of the flames, the tower began to collapse beneath them. Shaking and rumbling, the towers reinforcements begin to buckle in on themselves..
22.
Originally posted by Etarah's Maverick OOC:Yeah, I actually CAN explain that. Dr. William Light is my "body's" father. He is also the main constructor of many buildings in the city. This being the case, he built an AlarisX capsule into the buildings, each one carrying the saem upgrade. Dual swords and dual busters. As for why he'd put it in a WALL.....um.....I did that for post interest, I guess. I dunno. I hadn't had my coffee then.
Who the heck is Dr. William Light? I know for one that Dr Thomas Xaiver Light wasn't a builder, so I hope you're not talking about him. Capsules in random places... It worked in the games. But not in the RPG.
23. OOC: Etarah's Maverick--Please, inform the rest of us why in of _all places_ there would be a AlarisX capsule in the wall of a Communications Tower/Missile Silo? Why? And for the rest of you, here's a wireframe drawing of the tower, so you can all get an idea of where you are. I should've posted this earlier, yes, but it's too late now. Just pretend all your previous posts relate to this. ^_^; ------------- Fenir dashes past all the rows of dismantled warheads, surveying the area. That faint sign of life was coming from here, no doubt. In the middle of the room was a massive square hole. Fenir approached it cautiously, gazing down into blackness. This was the main missile shaft, he thought to himself. The shaft itself was very open, and the only thing stopping him falling down was a reasonably thin guardrail, painted with a black-and yellow striped pattern, standard caution colours. He focussed on his HUD, looking for the life-sign he had located. Confused, he noticed that the small blip on his radar was now directly behind him. Fenir spun around, only to find that he was Face-to-Chest with a ton of hot steel. Looking into it, he saw tubes, human organ and flesh, connected with brutal rods and wires. It was horrifying. The crude yet massive piece of machinery looked down at the frightened Reploid, grabbing his head with one hand. Fenir struggled, but the titanic Cyborg Massacre was far too strong. With one huge swing, Massacre flung Fenir into a five-foot thick wall of titanium reinforced concrete and steel. Fenir felt his armour dent and buckle as he slumped to the ground. Massacre grinned in sadistic delight, and walked over to a rack of dismantled missiles, grabbing one and pulling it out of the row. Massacre: Fool. What were you doing, looking for me? Fenir cursed under his breath as he realised that the blip he'd been chasing all along was in fact Massacre. The gargantuan cyborg shifted his stance and held the missile above his head in one hand, like a lance. Massacre: I'll make this quick, Hunter. Massacre laughed evily, masses of steam pouring out of the funnels on his back as he did so. With one sharp lunge, the missile was propelled out of Massacre's hand, crashing into Fenir's chest. The force of impact was so strong that Fenir was crushed into and through the five-feet wall of the seventh floor, beginning a plumetting descent to the ground. Havoc, Warlock, Reverb and Iota, still outside near Alpha, turned around to see the missile smash through the wall of the tower. Immediately, Warlock, Havoc and Reverb aimed their busters, intending to destroy it before it detonated. But just before they did, Reverb noticed the lack of an engine, and the reploid on the front of it. He pushed Warlock's buster down, and the two were helpess to watch as the missile hit the ground hard, crushing Fenir inbetween. Immediately, two medics rushed out from Alpha. Havoc, Warlock and Reverb also headed to the wreckage. They pushed hard on the crumpled missile, tipping it over. In the small crater it had left lay a nearly dead Fenir, armour shattered, internal systems on the brink of no-return. His eyesight was static and red, scanlines scrolling up and down. He could only make out one thing--A 96.7% damage report. His eyes began to fade out. The medics hoisted him up from the hole, and put him in a hover-stretcher, closing it up, and rushing it back to one of the support vehicles. They turned on the siren, and rushed him back to Headquarters. Iota approached Havoc, Warlock and Reverb. They all stood silent for a moment. Havoc: They let people like that into the elite squad these days? Disgraceful. Reverb: Maybe, Havoc. But let's not forget, these enemies are like nothing we've seen before.. Let's just get inside. Iota: I'm with Reverb. Warlock: You guys go ahead inside. I have something to take care of. Warlock looked up at the hole where the missile had crashed through the wall. Something very strong must have done that, he thought to himself. Warlock grinned. He fancied a good fight. Reverb and Iota walked into the communications tower, leaving Warlock to look up at the hole, and ponder how to get there, and who he would meet when he did..
