1. Lorn- "Well. I've never tried to manifest a person before... Didn't even know I tried..." The bowling ball struck him in the ankle, knocking him over and rolling to a stop above their heads. He stood slowly, keeping a watchful eye on the appeance of CR. "So, do you talk or do you just stand there and keep me a strange sort of company?" CR- "Ummm... Lorn? Where are we?" Lorn smiled and walked over to the bowling ball, seeming to go upside down. Lorn- "Hey, you do talk. I knew I had more brain power than that..." He tossed the bowling ball up, CR catching it at it's peak. Lorn walked back over, and poked CR. "Solid too." CR- "Quit that!" He brushed Lorn's hand away. "I'm real." Lorn rolled his eyes. Lorn- "Of course. Everything here is real, to me at least. Care for a martini?" CR shook his head. CR- "No no... I got sucked in here when I tried to see how you were doing... Lorn... Why did you try to link again? Once is enough for a long time, you should know that." Lorn looked starled. Lorn- "Oh... You are real real. Ummm.... I guess I just wanted to help Ryin. i know it wasn't the smartest, but I've been getting a little more powerful lately. Thought I could handle it... Guess not..." He took the bowling ball from CR and began distractedly spinning it on his fingers. CR looked around silently. CR- "So how long are we gonna be in here?" Lorn tossed the bowling ball up. It dissapeared in a flash of white light. Lorn- "Don't know." An armchair materialized. Lorn sat down, and reclined. "Care to join me?" Another appeared. Lorn motioned for CR to sit.
2. I'm not quite sure when I wrote this, but I'm almost completely sure it was after I broke up with my girlfriend of almost six months. 3. I've been writing a lot more. I think it's because we all got a 'rest' from school and the such. I'm actually thinking of putting some of my stuff on OB. For I sorely need the ego boost. ;)
4. He's mentally exausted. Two links in one day more or less made his mind burn out, like after running a marathon for the body. --- He heard voices. So distant... Like listening to music through a steel wall, you could make out sounds, but no words. Just garbled noise... Lorn looked around. He'd only found himself here once before, and it had been during a much worse time in his life. A large white room. Circular in shape. No windows. No furniture. Just a sphere. From prior experiance with this place, he knew he could walk constantly around the room. On the 'cieling', the 'floor', even the 'walls'... If you could put such labels on a spherical room.... But he'd just wear himself out, like when he last visited this place. A few years ago, before he met up with Ryin and all these people, he had been a college guy. He had his fair share of women, no denying that. Anything from drunken one-night stands to long lasting relationships. He hadn't been doing well in school. There was the possibility of losing his scholarship. The probability of him failing his psycology classes. And the definate fact that he was spiriling into addiction. But things have a way of saving you, even if it's not the best way. He was walking home froma frat party one night. They had a keg. It had been emptied by nine. Someone ran for liquer and came back with ten gallons of vodka. That was gone by midnight. Everyone was quite literally fucked up. On his way home from the party, Lorn stumbled into a passing pedestrian. The man, with the obvious intent of robbing him fromt he start, pulled a gun and told Lorn to hand his wallet over. In his current condition, Lorn could not quite remember where his wallet was. The man told him to hurry up, and when he didn't, the man reached for his back pocket. Lorn hit him in the face and was shot in the abdomen. Three weeks he was in the Crawl Space, as he though of it. Later he found out he had been in an ICU for three weeks. He came out of the coma-like state with his new abilities. The room did have it's advantages. Since it was your mind, you could manifest things. You could do basically anything, besides get out. A bowling ball appeared in front of Lorn. He smiled slightly and picked it up, slipping his fingers into the holes. He rolled it along the floor, watching it move across the entire sphere seemingly defying gravity. Definitly had it's advantages. As soon as the though crossed his mind he felt the first prickle of loneliness in his heart. The room was nice, but he'd rather have his friends than play God.
5. While playing last night, I found the first bit of slowdown so far in the game. In one of the drift tournaments later in the game (race 90-95 or there about) the track seems to stutter a bit when you go much faster than sixty. Rather distracting considering the normal smooth passing of everything... Be warned.
6. It reminds me of something I read that one of my friends wrote. Only the director was a cannible and was continuousley replacing actors that 'dissapeared'. Good though. :)
7. My parents finally dubbed me 'old enough to have a few'. So naturally I got smashed with them. Woke up with a bad hangover at about 7:00 am and went to work. Not cool at all. But anyway, not a bad New Years.
8. When you say ambition is a weakness, do you mean all around or just in the governing offices.
9. Definitly, Dan. I've experianced no choppyness. Underground mode is great. You can test your skills against the best racers in the 'city'. True there are only 111 races, but by the time you get to the end they're so difficult it'll have you putting every skill you've learned to the ultimate test. I'm starting to sound like a review so I'll stop it. The game is over-all a great game. Though I've also had a bit of anger towards the constant scenery of the races, I've also come to appreciate it. By the time you're at race 80 or 90, you'll be thankful you know the enviroment so well. The customization is definitly a plus in the game, one of the only noteworthy ones I've used. I'd definitly buy the game, but if you're having doubts, rent it first. And why did you guys pay fifty? I bought my copy for like thirty eight bucks at a Best Buy.
10. Great stuff Gav. You might want to watch out for jumping in and out of different tenses, but that seemed to mostly go away after the first chapter. I can't wait for the rest.
11. Oh I gotta try and get into this. --- Name: Richard of The Order of The Knights that until formerly said Ni Age: 22 Weapon: Ni! Appearance: Clad in a black robe with an extremely ugly helmet. Brown eyes. A stuble of facial hair. He has absolutely no undergarments under his robe and is prone to the occasional cold draft. Bio: He was young when the Knights of Ni bore him from their vivacious haunches, Ni!. He spilled onto the ground like a little tomato that had just happened to fall from the basket and explode on the floor. He cried out 'Ni! Ni!' until someone picked him up and shook him like all Knights of Ni do to their children. He quieted at once, smiling and happy from the brain damage, Ni!. He grew into a wonderful knight and actually helped in the constant study of the beautiful Norwegian Blue parrot. Unfortunately many of them died... But damn did they look beautiful... Wonderful plumage... It was a mystery to every knight how the parrots got from Norway to... Wherever the hell they were, Ni!. As with a normal adolecent, he went ont he normal rampages of terrorizing old women with his inherant ability to terrorize old women with his use of the word Ni!, Ni!. He got a good many shrubberies from the wonderful grower of shrubberies Sir Annsie, a wonderful but slightly confused woman having the whole 'sir' thing and all. Particullarly beautiful was the shrubbery they recieved from King Arthur, tough a pity it was he didn't cut down the trees with a herring, Ni!... Sad times befell the Knights of Ni when their Arthur Shrub was decimated by the shithead police, Ni!! They tracked them down and burned them for the witches they were, for they floated and burned well like wood. Richard did the fishdance with a herring, Ni!. Anyway, he journyed to the Holy Otaku Kingdom to offer his services to King Shinny, the poor replacement for King James, in return for a few herrings and shurbberies. What better is there to do, Ni!?
12. Man, you have no idea how hard it was to come up with a good idea to continue the story. But here it is... Oh yeah, Outcast, or Lynx, or whatever the hell you're called now, are you out of the game? If so please tell me. --- Allen- "Van! Don't!" Weir raked the mans back, attempting to gain some kind of control. Blood began to seep through his shirt. They tumbled into the gateway, Weirs scream of rage being abruptly cut off. The blackness rippled, seeming almost liquid, and then phased back into the metal sphere that is the core of the Gravity Drive. Satell sighed and walked over to Allen. Satell- "He did it for us. All of us. You do understand that, right?" Allen nodded slowly, tears forming in his eyes. "We can still finish this." He looked up at her, tears now running down his face. Allen- "You mean, destroy the ship..." She nodded. Satell- "We have missles on the Bladerunner. We can destroy the Event Horizon and end this. We have to..." He hugged her tight, his tears running onto her bare shoulders. Allen- "I know... We will. Let's go." He stood, wiping the tears from his eyes. Sirens began to ring. Allen whirled around. "Jesus Christ! What now..." Event Horizon- "Self Destruct Mechanism activated. Forty five minutes, and counting." He exchanged a brief glance with Satell. They smiled and ran from the room. At last, some good news. Allen sealed the door to the engine room behind him. The main coridor had taken up a kind of menacing air. A green fog had seemed to leak into it. Allen- "A coolant leak... Satell, try not and breath too much... Coolant is toxic at high levels." She nodded and ran a little slower. He slowed his own pace and took in a large gulp of air, trying to breath as little as possible. The docking hatch was in sight. "Almost there..." They bounded into the hatch and collided with the wall. Both crumpled to the floor, breathing the clean air. He opened the door to the Bladerunner with one hand, touching a button. It hissed open, revealing the familiar halls of the Bladerunner. Satell- "Let's go home." He smiled and helped her up, wrapping his bloodied captains shirt around her. A shot rang out, making both of them duck. Allen- "That was a gun... Someone discharged a gun on my ship!" Warning sirens began flashing. "Fuck! We've got a hull breach!" He brought up the information on the screen. "The bridge..." --- And Mr Samedi, I have not forgotten about your monster situation. ;)

14. It's Lorn, my dear. ;) --- The toothbrush clattered into the white porcelin sink, spraying toothpaste all around the bowl. Too loud... He grasped the sink with both hands, biting back tears. Good god... It felt like someone had just ripped out his heart. Lorn- "Oh.... God...." His knees buckled and he fell to the floor. Nausea swept across him. He scurried to the toilet and vomited up his coffee. One unfortunate thing about vomiting, is that when you are in the action of expelling ones stomach contents, you can't think of anything else. The vomiting stopped and he pulled himself away, wiping a strand of mucus from the corner of his mouth. He sat there, face against the cool tiled wall trying to figure out what had happened. Nothing seemed to make sence. Confusion... "Ghhhh..." He wiped his face with a towel and stood, shakily. The bathroom door opened silently. Michelle- "Lorn? You ok?" He looked at her, tears swimming in his eyes. Lorn- "Why couldn't you just understand?" Her eyes looked hurt. "I'm sorry... I was just sick... I'm a little disoriented..." She nodded. Michelle- "Anything I can do?" He shook his head. She smiled and left. Lorn threw a shirt on and ran, shakily, from the house. Lorn- "Ryin?" He stretched out his mind and felt for her. He snapped his head to the right and walked over to the fence. He looked over at Ryin, sitting there and crying her eyes out. "Ryin? You ok?" She looked up at him, tears streaming down her cheeks. Ryin- "You know I'm not..." He nodded and walked around the fence, sitting next to her. Lorn- "Yeah, I know. You wanna talk about it?" She nodded and wiped her eyes. "I'm guessing it's about Michelle. I kinda blew up at her..." Ryin- "Yeah... I don't really know how to begin..." He scrunched his face down. Lorn- "You want me to link to you? Might make things easier..." Never in his life had he done two links in a day. He tried to never do more than two in a week... "And you really wouldn't have to say anything." Ryin- "I don't know... I guess..." He smiled, trying to hold back his fear. Lorn- "Ok... Just try to relax. I'm... A little tired. You being relaxed will help me out." She nodded and took a few deep breaths. Her shaking stopped and her crying quieted. Ryin- "I'm ready." He smiled slightly to himself and placed his hands on her forehead. He drove every thought from his mind and concentraited on getting into hers. A white light began shining from his own forehead. The surface layres of Ryins mind parted easily, but the deeper he got, the more difficult she was to bond to. Sweat began to stand out on his skin. It was so hard... So much sadness and pain... He breathed sharply, deepening his mental strength. Lorn- "Almost..." He pushed through the last layre, sweat stinging his eyes. He found himself in a large black room, a purple fog hanging in the distance. Purple... "Signifies sadness... Ryin? You there?" She stepped out of the fog, clad in an outfit of black, tears tracing streamlets down her face. "We can talk here. No one will hear us." She nodded and walked closer. He hugged her tight and she cried into his chest. "Shhhhhh... It's ok Ryin. Now, tell me what happened." Ryin- "Ummmm..." She hitched. "Ummm, well... I've been friends with Michelle a long time." Lorn nodded. "And, well..." She looked up at him with pleading eyes. "Don't get weird, ok?" He was surprised. Lorn- "Why would I-" Ryin- "Just promise..." He looked into her eyes. Lorn- "Promise." She looked down for a moment. Ryin- "Lorn, I'm bisexual. I told Michelle that I loved her. And it didn't seem to have any effect at all. I... don't know what happened. I don't know what I did! I don't think she needs me anymore, Lorn... I'm... Afraid..." He frowned and looked off into the distant black. Lorn- "Ryin, I'd never judge you. Especially on something as trivial as that." He looked down at her. "What you said was the truth. I truely don't think that Michelle doesn't need you. I think you may have startled her. It might have shocked her. I..." Something twinged in his neck. He rubbed it and looked back down at Ryin. "I think you need to give it time." Ryins eyes lit up slightly. Ryin- "You really think so?" He smiled. Lorn- "I really do. Time heals everyth-" His head crained to the left, popping the vertebrea in his spine. "Oh God..." Ryin- "Lorn? What's wrong?" He pulled out rapidly, the layres of her mind slapping at his conciousness. He awoke to a convulsing body, his teeth firmly clamped together and every muscle on fire. Ryin opened her eyes and gawked at him. "Lorn! Help! Everyone help!" HELP!

17. His vision blurred into a black haze. Everything was dark... Unfocused... Noise drifted into his ears, but nothing clear. The world had dissapeared into the realm of pain. White hot light exploded into the black haze. He fell against the floor and curled, gripping his head and sobbing. The pain was horrible. Minutes felt like hours. The shapes began to phase back into view. There was Weir... Satell... Everything was so fuzzy. His eyes wouldn't focus. Weir- "Jhsipeu eanhegul snolm captain just tried to?" His eyes focused briefly, revealing trickles of blood around his cradled head. God did it hurt... Every heartbeat sent sharp icicles of molten pain into his mind. He sobbed into his sleeve. Satell- "Not quite. You see......he can't kill you. But I can." That was Satell... She was beautiful. He closed his eyes. "No... You can't make me." His eyes shot open, sending a fresh bolt of pain through his head. Allen- "Wha..." It was Satell. She was kneeling on the floor, beaten and bloodied... She was in her Marines uniform... But- Satell- "No... You can't make me. I won't give them up." A man strolled around her, an impatient look on his face. ????- "Listen to me. All you have to do is give me a set of coordinates. I know you're with the Black Tide. The Marines can't help you now. Just give me their position and you can die painlessly." Pain split his head. What was this? He screamed, Weir and Satell both turning to look at him. ????- "I'll give you ten seconds. The rest of your team is dead. No one knows you're still alive. Just make this easier on yourself." Satell knelt there, shuddering and bound. Satell- "No... I won't give them up." The man sighed. He grabbed a small pistol out of his waistband. ????- "You could have made it easier on yourself. We aren't going to stop. We will never stop until you are all dead!" A cheer rang up from the crowd of people huddled just out of the lights range. "We are not a terrorist faction. The Purple Raine will cleanse this world of the impure!" He walked around in front of Satell and knelt. He looked into her eyes. "You made a mistake, miss. And now, you pay for it." He pointed his weapon and fired. Satell's thigh exploded in red. She screamed. The man wiped blood from his face and stood. He pointed the gun at her forehead. He fired. Allen stopped screaming abruptly. His head was miraculously clear of pain. He stood, wavering slightly, and looked at Satell. Allen- "You're.... Dead....."
18. It would take less time to figure out a rubix cube then it took for my parents to remember the earthlink password... Thankyou much AzureWolf. ;)
19. I use Earthlink. If you're asking what service on 250free, the free one. This has never happened before.
20. Perhaps this has been addressed, but I don't think so. I'm hosting my images using
www.250free.com
and currently, Ob isn't accepting images from my account at 250free. I've checked that the images are in the right formats (usually jpg) and I've uploaded them several different times. Can anyone help?
21. I was seeing where this would go without me dear Annie.;) --- Allens eyes dialated rapidly and briefly at the sound of Satell's laugh. The pain in his arm stopped. He looked down to see the bone re-aligning and the skin stitching itself back together. The last of the skin covered the wound and his eyes returned to normal. He looked up to see Weir nipping furiously at Satell's neck. His eyes widened in hate. Allen stood and grasped a pipe. He walked silently behind Weir and raised the pipe. He saw it all. The pipe would come down. Weir would be hit squarely on the head, splitting it open and killing the thing. He would fall to the floor, a blank yet hateful expression on his face. Blood would pool below him. We would disable the gravity drive and fly the ship back to earth. He brought down the pipe, hitting Weir squarely on the top of his head. Blood sprayed outward in a sheet. Satell detached herself from him and stepped back. He raised the pipe again and brought it down, snapping Weir's shoulder like a stick. His arm jutted out at a funny angle. He raised it again. Weir turned, hate flaring in his eyes and blood running down his face. Allen bought it down, using all his strength. Weir caught the pipe onehanded. Weir- "Captain Chubbs..." His shoulder popped back and healed with a sicking liquid noise. The indentation in his head expanded back to it's original shape. "You shouldn't have interviened. You would have lived." He threw the pipe across the room and grasped Allen's head with both hands. He began to squeeze.

24. If you're really that worried about it, start a website that's against all those anti-patriotic peeps. You could talk about how great all the people are that are fighting terrorism are. Then put down the people that are at godhatesamerica.com. But, no, that wouldn't be the same thing at all. *rolls eyes* How about let them be. Does it effect you directly? No. Unless the people are knocking on your front door trying to recruit, don't pay them any attention. There will always be people that do things like this. The best way to get rid of them is to ignore them.
25. Name: Fred Age: 21? Bio: Fred grew up in a home with a lot of money. He always went to the 'best' schools. He always had the 'best' clothing. When he went to college for two year after highschool, he struggled with his sexuality for a while. He was never one to openly come out of the closet, but never exactly stayed in. After he bought his van he began a roadtrip of the country, wanting to get away from his parents and his life. He met up with a lot of interesting people and, for the hell of it, began solving really obvious mysteries. He never really was confused with the mysteries at hand, but played along for the sake of the stoner, the whore, the nerd, and the wierd talking dogs. Appearance: Blond hair. Blue eyes. Blue silk pants. A white sweater. And a neckercheif.
