Sorry, Outcast. I just got here first. --- Allen ran down the corridor at full speed, leaping over debris and the occasioal beam. The Gravity Drive... It couldn't be activated. Something tripped him. He went sprawling. A slight pressure gripped his neck, then was gone. He picked himself up and began running again, dispite the slow return of breath to his lungs. The door was in sight, but something was wrong... Allen- "No time... *puff* No time...." He collided with the door, unable to keep himself from stopping, and fell again. He stood slowly, gaping at the blood splashed over the walls. It was running ont the floor in small streamlets. "Wha..." Two bodies dropped stonily from the cieling. They landed with a sickish plop, spraying blood everywhere. Both were badly mutilated. He leaned closer. One was a woman. Half of her scalp was hanging loosely over her face, matted hair clinging to red skin. Half of her left breast had been removed, leaving a gaping half mound. The one eye he could see was frozen with horror. The male had been stripped of all clothing. His genitalia had been removed, making him look sexless. His chest had been sliced open, ribs spread like a makeshift cage that had long been broken out of. Blood was pooled there, like a crimson well. Allen tore his gaze away and walked forward. The two had been Brooke and Arthur. He should never have sent them here alone. They should have all went together. What a fool he had been! Allen- "Dammit..." The doors slid open. He started to walk through then stopped. The halway leading to the engine room, and the Gravity Drive, was spinning. Giant spikes jutted out from the walls. It looked like... "... A meat grinder..." His mind snapped back to him, roughly, and he remembered this was simply a containment measure for the power of the Gravity Drive. The catwalk swam into view, it had seemed like there was nothing there before, and he bolted across it. The door closed behind him. Allen- "Oh God..." The three rings of the Gravity Drive were spinning at a sickening speed. Every time they lined up, he was pelted with bright lights. He held his arm up to his eyes and ran to a nearby wall panel. The rings spun faster. The screen read 98% charging. It blinked off. "What? No!" He punched the screen, breaking the glass, but bringing the display back up. It read 100%. Event Horizon- "Gravity Drive at 100%. Commencing singularity incursion." The rings stopped, all perfectly lined up. The center sphere lit up with thousands of lights. Allen shielded his eyes and dropped to the floor, crippled. It seemed like forever. The light penetraited his arm... his eyelids. They burned into his vision. Then... They stopped. He opened his eyes slowly, carefully. There was a large, gaping, black sphere floating inside of the rings. He stared at it, fixated at that one mass of nothingness. A hum began filling the air. He covered his ears. Small tears of blood squeezed themselves from his eyes. He screamed soundlessly. The humming stopped abruptly. He opened his eyes and looked out. The blackness was still there. And there was a person. He had no sexual organs, though it was obvious that it was, or used to be, a man. The things face was carved. Long, deep lacerations stretched across ihs body. His eyes glowed a bright blue, an errie contrast to his bloodied body. Allen knew that man... Allen- "Weir?" The naked man laughed. The sound sent chills down Allens spine. "Are we still-" Weir- "Yes, Mr. Chubbs. We're still in your dimension. I could not activate the gateway myself. The rules of my 'game' have... Changed. Slightly." Allen- "Why... How are you here?" The man laughed again and began moving toward Allen. Weir- "I died once. The Event Horizon brought me back. Captain Miller killed me again." He chuckled as though recalling a particularly funny moment. "My master brought me back." Allen- "Satan?" He cringed as Weir brushed his face with one deeply cut hand. Weir- "Such names are meaningless. The biblical version of the Devil has him obeying rules. Life. Death. Such things are meaningless when I've been." He walked about the room, caressing outcroppings of equipment. "I think you have some idea of why I'm here." Allen- "To corrupt earth..." He laughed again. Weir- "Corrupt? Enslave? No. All I want... my master wants is death. But unfortunately, someone has interviened." His face turned to one of disgust. "This is why the rules have changed Mr. Chubbs. Their presence had put a kind of lock on the Gateway. I needed one of you to op-" Allen- "Just kill me Weir..." The man smiled. Weir- "No. I think I'll let you watch. Now come with me." He gripped Allen by the arm, breaking it in several places and ripping the skin off, and carried him back into the main corridor of the Event Horizon. Allen was tossed into a corner, screaming and crying. "I'm waiting my dear!"

Allen watched them go with a sence of deep despair. He probably saved a life. But probably ended his own. He was the captain, though... Allen- "The crew first... Then you..." He looked down. not quite surprised to see his hands shaking. Gooseflesh had erupted on his arms. He set off to the bridge at a quick walk. Maybe he'd be able to meet them at the airlock when they got back. Too much shit... Too much shit and they haven't even gotten to the Gravty Drive yet. The door to the bridge opened. The room was silent, well lighted, and clean. No blood. Nothing. He ran to the controls, glancing over his shoulder every few seconds. Paranoia was grand. He punched up the ship status and found everything to be ok. A light on the upper panel pulsed steadily. Almost like a- Allen- "No. I can't accept that." He puched in the commands for thruster prep, and listened to the slo-trans engines to hum to life. Maybe they could salvage it after all. All they had to do was bring it back to earth. Not that hard at all. He set a course for earth and hit the button. The thrusers quieted at once. "What the..." A pulse reverberated through the ship. A screen popped up showing the powering up of the Gravity Drive. "No!" He looked back down at the thruster systems. Allen- "No..." His stomach plummeted. They weren't the thrusters... They were controls for the Gravity Drive. And he had activated them. The screen read two percent charged. He slammed the controls with every possible reversal process he could think of. Nothing. The ship had locked him out. He needed to get to the core... To stop it. To save his crew.

My advice to you is to build the largest bomb you can from common household items. Light it and chuck it at the next rude person you see. OOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Maybe be a little more considerate yourself. Perhaps you really are moving too slowly across the street. Look at it from their standpoint. Maybe you're the rude one.

Mine were so impacted they had to drill them in half before yanking them. And I had no gas. Just a couple needles of novacaine that wasn't quite enough. When they drilled, I screamed. Anyway, I've never even heard of something like that happening. And I'm rather shocked to know that you waited as long as you did. How could you not have known something was wrong? Teeth aren't supposed to grow sideways. I'm sorry, but that just dumbfounds me.

ack... I've forgotten about this. Now I feel all bad, but nevermind. I want to play this out till the end people. How about making it a goal to be one of the few RPG's on OB that finish. Oh, and Baron, monsters are fine as long as you link them to the chaos dimension and they don't get too out of hand. --- Allen rushed over to Satell, after Tex had crossed her. Allen- "Satell! What's wrong? Tell me!" Her eyes fluttered then locked onto him. There were small trickles of blood coming from her mouth. Satell- "Allen... I can't... stay... here..." She hitched and coughed. "I need to get back to the Bladerunner... Soon... Need to... heal..." Her eyes demanded understanding. Though he didn't, Allen stood up. Allen- "Ruben?" Ruben- "I'm hearing way too much from you, Boss. What's up..." Allen looked back at Satell and Annie. Satell was crying small rivers of red, and Tex was holding her. He blinked away tears of sadness and fear. Allen- "You and Van will meet Satell and Tex in the main corridor. Take them to the Bladerunner and give Satell to Trini. Have her treat Satell. Bring Tex back and stay with her in the Radio room. Monitor me at all times when you get there. I will make my rounds up here, and come and get three of you. We'll go down to the engine room, together... Understood?" A long pause. Ruben- "Yes sir. We're coming sir."

The boarding party walked into the main corridor silently. Allen looked at everyone and nodded. They all dispersed. Satell, Tex, and Allen to the bridge. Brooke and Arthur to the engineering section to wait. Ruben and Van to the comm station. Allen was sweating. Satell- "You ok?" Satell radioed him with a hint of worry in her voice. He looked at her and radioed back. Allen- "No. I'm not." Tex- "I agree..." They looked forward, the end of the hallway just beginning to come into view. "God... I can't get my heart under control." Allen- "Me either..." They felt eyes. Almost as it every bolt in the ship was tracing their movements. "Let's get this done as quickly as possible..." They slid the door to the front area of the ship open. The large tank that used to hold the ships coolant was broken and empty. It had happened in the prior mission. No one had bothered to repair it when the front portion got back to earth. A flash erupted from a source in the room. They covered their eyes. A figure stood there and stared at them, wide eyed and naked. Entrails hung down like some kind of demented kind of jewelry. Blood pooled below him in a crimson puddle. It was... Satell- "Vincent?" Allen stood there, staring. Tex doubled over, hitching, gaging, and trying to take off the helmet. Allen tore his gaze away from the dismembered man. Allen- "No, Tex!" She ripped the helmet off just as Allen got to her. Vomit spilled over his front. "Tex! TEX!" He pulled up her head, looking for signs of decomression. "Tex!" She pushed his hands away. Tex- "I'm fine! I'm fine..." She looked up. Vincent had dissapeared. "I'm fine..." Allen stood and removed his own suit, carefully. Satell did the same. Allen, after giving Tex another look over, radioed Ruben. Allen- "Ruben." Ruben- "Boss?" Allen- "The ship's pressurized. You can strip." He clicked off his radio and threw his suit into a corner. "We're not done yet guys..."

Allen waited patiently as the seconds ticked by. His thumb was beginning to get a blisher from the constant rubbing of the cross. The ship groaned a bit, the pressure seeming to change slightly, then went back to normal. Allens ears poped. Satell and Tex came first. He gave them a weak smile and quietly noted the bit of red on Satells shirt. Ruben came next, rubbing a circular red spot on his neck. Whatever Van had given him seemed to have worked. Brooke came, with Arthur trailing behind slightly. Van came last, toting a med kit and several medical devices. Allen- "Good. Good..." He looked around. Almost everyone had a crucifix in some form or another. He had his around his neck. Tex aswell. Ruben wore a bracelet with a small charm on it. Arthur seemed to have a tatoo. Van also wore a necklace. Satell and Brooke were the only ones that seemed without. "Ok everyone... We're going in. Satell, you and Tex an I will go to the bridge. I wish Sam could have went there, but he can't." His eyes fell briefly on Tex then began darting around again. "Ruben, you'll monitor the radios and listen. If we're going to need protecton, you're our man." He clapped him on the shoulder. "Van, you'll stick with Ruben. If he needs to protect, you'll probably need to heal. Also keep your eyes open for anyone that might need to be worked on from the prior crews, as insane as that sounds I have to give the order. Arthur..." He looked at the man and dropped his eyes. He didn't want to do this. Arthur- "Sir?" He looked back up, his face slightly drained of color. He cleared his throat and tried to speak. Nothing came out. He cleared it again. Allen- "Jesus... I don't want to do this. Arthur... You and Brooke will go to the engine room." He looked at the two, fear showing in Arthurs eyes. "No... No, I can't do that to you. Go down there, and wait for us. After we're done surveying the ship, we'll meet up with you. Then we'll all go in there." He looked at everyone. "Suit up. We don't know if our readings are right. There might not be pressure."

He thanked Van and walked over to Ruben. Allen- "I want you in the airlock, again, in exactly twenty minutes." He clapped him on the shoulder as Van came back with an injection tool. Ruben- "See you in twenty." Allen raised a hand to him, he winced from the injection, and the doors closed. Allen walked over to the PA and pressed the hail button. Three soft tones rose over the intercom. Allen- "Ok everyone. It's time. You all know what I'm talking about. These are the people I want with me. I want Satell. Ruben. Van. Tex. Brooke. And Arthur. All of you will meet me in he airlock in exactly twenty minutes. Kenneth will stay behind to keep this ship safe. Trini will take care of Sam." He paused. "You have nineteen minutes. I suggest you bring a cross..." He lifted his finger off the PA and walked to his quarters, changing his bloodied shirt and pants. He slipped the cross onto his chain, next to his dogtags. "God help us all..." He slipped out of his quarters and headed to the airlock.

He had helped Van to the medical bay, a place the inhabitants of this ship were seeing far too much of. Quietly he cleaned up the wounds he had inflicted, allowing Van to stitch his own ear closed. Allen- "Van... I really don't know what came over me..." Van looked at him compassionately. Van- "I do. It's the Event Horizon. It happened just as we docked. It wasn't you." Allen smiled a bit. "You know what? I think we can skip the physicals for today." Allen looked at him. Allen- "Physicals?" Van nodded and chuckled at the look on Allens face; pure fear and aprehension. Van- "Yup. I was planning on giving everyone one once we got the the Event Horizon. Wasn't looking forward to it myself, but no need to do it now." They smiled at eachother. Allen clapped Van on the leg and stood. Allen- "I think I have to get a boarding party together. We don't have a lot of time to waste if it's already affecting us like this." He left, shooting a smile at Van before the doors closed. The smile faded from his face the second he heard the doors close. He really didn't want to do this. He feared going on the Event Horizon. More than anything. Even more than death, for that ship had far worse things in store for them. A hand grabbed his shoulder. He spun around with fear on his face. It was Ruben. Allen- "Jesus fucking Christ! Don't do that!" Ruben attempted a smile and failed. Ruben- "I think this is yours." He dropped a small silver cross into the captains hand. Allen looked at it questioningly then reached for his pocket, only to find no cross. He gave Ruben a smile. "I found it in the hallway back there." He thumbed in the direction. Allen- "Thanks Ruben. Are you ok? You look sick."

Allen- "Well well old man you're a better soldier than I though but that won't save you..." He grabbed Van by the coller of his shirt with his left hand, and picked him up, setting his beaten body on his feet while still holding him up. "I'm going to enjoy this." He drew his fist back, ready to send it into the mans grey matter. 'Always aim behind what you mean to hit. That way, it will be like punching through whatever you're hitting.' Hand-to-Hand 101. Van coughed a bit. A little stream of blood ran from the corner of his mouth. Allen smiled. He pushed the muscles of his arm forward as hard as he could. the precise moment a wave of pure serenity washed over him. A smell filled his nostrils. Jasmine and freshly cut grass... Home. His eyes widened as he realized what he was doing. Every muscle in his rocketing arm pulled, altered its course. He grazed the side of Vans head, bloodying his right ear. The force of his blow threw him forward, knocking both the Captain and the Doctor down. Van lay on his back, barely concious, Allen on top of him, scrambling to get off. Allen- "Van! Van!" Allen kneeled by his side, and shook him. He opened his eyes. Van- "Allen? What happened?" Allen stooped and hugged him. Allen- "God... I'm so sorry... Van, I'm so sorry."

Eternal Poets and the like are pay-to-publish companies. You really don't want to be affiliated with them. You have to pay to have your stuff published and the books aren't half as good as they make them out to be. They'll let anyone in that'll pay. As for the poem, it's definitly good. Though I don't much care for rhyming poems anymore. Line three and four clash a little bit, line four seems a bit drawn out.

Allen sat on Vans couch, staring at the unoncious Sam with pure rage. What had gotten into him? He had tried to hurt a member of his crew... Their crew! He definitly had some explaining to do. Van walked up slowly. Van- "He has a medium concussion, several lacerations, and a broken nose. He'll be fine," and after a moment, "unfortunately." Allen nodded solemly. Van looked at him again, with concern, and left. He was thinking about where they were going to put him. They had no brig. Never had a need for one... He'd have to be confined to his room. Yes... But he'd have to talk him before that. Trini- "Sir! He's waking up..." He was up before Trini had finished her third word. Sam was moaning and trying to rub his face. Allen grabbed his hand and thrust it down by his side. He looked to Trini and Van. Allen- "Leave me with him." Trini looked doubtful, but left. Van remained behind. Van- "Allen... As medical officer, I can't allow-" Allen- "Five minutes Van! Five minutes..." He looked at Allen with pleading eyes. "He won't die Van. I promise." Van walked slowly out of the medical bay. Sam lifted his head slightly. Sam- "Captain... What's wrong..." He looked at the captain with a worried face, but his eyes laughed. Allen- "What the hell has gotten into your skin? You tried to kill Tex. You ambushed her in the shower. I wonder what would have happened if Satell hadn't have stopped you." Allen stared at him venomously. Sam- "I think you can figure it out Cap'n." He winked. Allen grabbed his face, sqeezing his broken nose. Sam screamed. Allen- "Does that feel good?" He let go. "I bet it did. I bet you want more." He reached up again. Sam shielded his face, and Allen stopped. What was he doing? Suddenly very sick, Allen stood and glared at the pilot. "You sicken me. And I will be in hell before you pilot this ship again." He shot one more glare at the cringing man before walking out of the medical bay, past both Trini and Van without looking at either of them. "Get someone to confine him to quarters. And make sure the door's locked... Tight."

My first serious kiss was my freshman year in highschool. I had been liking this girl for a while and we had been hanging out a lot. So one day after school, I walked her to her bus and we kissed. Nothing big. Looking back on it, that was the highlight of my day considering I was told my uncle had died when I walked through the door of my house. I've been told by the few girls I've dated that I'm a good kisser, but not the best. And they've also told me that ramming thy tounge down yonder throat is not the biggest turn on for a first kiss. Take heed and keep yonder red and slippery serphant inside it's cave for time be.

Allen stepped back from the PA box, sweating slightly and thinking a lot. The Event Horizon was hours away. He had no great plan, though he knew the ship inside and out. He didn't know what to do when they got there, save dock and go in. One thing was for sure, he didn't want anyone near the engine until completely necessary. Without realizing the futility of his habit, he looked upward. Allen- "I don't know if you're there right now, but if you are, I sure could use some of those blessings you deal out." He crossed himself out of habit also, and walked down the halls of the ship slowly making his way to the mess hall. Some coffee and food would do him good. He was drained dispite his calm attitude. The doors to the mess slid open with a hiss. The lights had been on and they hummed like a hive of content bees. He turned his head up to them and watched one flicker a bit. Damage from a battle that hasn't happned yet... he thought morosely. The coffee was still on. The brew looked dark and lovely. The intercom in the room buzzed. Sam- "Hey cap. I'm about half done with the Navigations. Just though I'd give you an update." He walked over and pressed the reply button. Allen- "Good job. Keep me posted. It won't be much longer..." Sam- "10-4." He frowned and poured himself a cup of coffee. He looked around the mess hall and absentmindedly withdrew the small sliver cross he had in his pocket. As he sipped his coffee, waiting for their real mission to begin, his thumb stroked the long beam of the cross.

OOC: Ok. Enough with the whole time fuckups. Also, READ eachothers posts! More than half of you aren't paying complete attention. I asked for only serious RPers. I meant it. On another note Kinetic has dropped out of the RPG for personal reasons. I would like to keep his chracter around as a kind of opposite to Chubbs. On another 'another note', Ms rocker is also out of the RPG, though for far more obvious reasons. Outcast is entrusted with her death, but, like Raihas post said (for those that bothered to read it) the evil of the Event Horizon seems to have lifted for the time being. So she won't die any time soon. Maybe 'tomarrow'. IC: Allen walked up to Satell and held her in his arms. She cried into his shoulder. He shot a glance at Trini. Allen- "Go check on Van." She nodded, shot a glance at Satell, and re-entered the medical bay. "Sam, get back to your pilot seat. We'll be docking in less than twelve hours, I want the navi-ware in top shape." He nodded and jogged down the hallway, for once keeping smart remarks to himself. He wiped the tears from her eyes and held her out. "Satell..." His eyes searched her downturned face. Satell- "Allen... I don't..." Allen- "Hey." She looked up at him. "It's ok. Everyone's fine. Really. We're going to be fine." At least for a while, he added mentally. She gave him a smile, seeming to read his thought and walked back into his arms. There was a yelp of surprise from the medical bay. Trini came bursting out, running into the not quite open doors. Trini- "Hey! Come quick!" The two looked at eachother, faces dropping, and ran into the infirmery. The lighting was rather low, and Van was sitting up on his bed smiling at them. Satell- "Oh God..." She ran to him, hugging him tight and covering his face with kisses. She stopped suddenly, realizing something had to be wrong. "Lay back down! You just had a-" Trini- "He's not showing any signs of someone that just had a heart attack, except his left arms a little sore. Right Van?" He nodded. Van- "I remember dreaming... something terrible... I think about my-" He cut out suddenly, dropping his head. "But I feel fine." He lifted his head again, doing a real good job of covering the distress in his face. Satell hugged him again, tighter this time. He hugged back. Satell- "Don't do that to me, Van." Allen had a vision of the events of the past hours, leading up to him saying to Satell something very much the same as that. She moved away. Allen walked up to Van. Allen- "On your feet," he ordered. "if you feel up to it, of course," he added meekly. Van smiled and held out his hand. Allen took it and aided the man in getting up. He wavered for a moment, letting the bloodrush clear, and stood up straight. "Mr Ambrose, I order you not to ever have a heart attack again. It might be unealthy for the rest of us." He smiled and embraced the man. He was startled, but returned it willingly. They parted and Van looked around the room. Van- "Thankyou all. I'm sure I woudln't have survived without all of you." He smiled. "Now if you all don't mind, I'd like to be alone for a while." Allen cleared his throat. Allen- "I mind. If Satell would stay with you for a little while longer, it'd make me feel." He nodded and walked into his office. Satell gave Allen a quick hug and followed him. He walked out of the medical bay, glancing at Van as the doors closed behind him.

A low tone reverberated through the ship stirring everyone from their sleep, and alreting the ones that were awake that it was now 6:35am. The first thing he had done when he got on the ship was switch the clocks from military time to civilian time. He hated military time. The tone was a special frequency that roused even the deepest sleeper into almost immediate awareness. Allen sat up suddenly and looked around, surprised. Satell wasn't next to him, but a bra was, and the tone had startled him. He picked up the bra and folded it, setting it off to the side for later re-attachment. He had been dreaming of earth, and his home in upper Canada. It was beautiful. He stood and walked over to his small lavatory, giving himself a quick look-over before slipping on a robe and heading to the shower rooms. He entered and the lights clicked on with a florescent hum. the room was maybe forty feet long with shower nozzles every five feet on the port wall. He disrobed and turned on one of the showers, letting the hot water run over his body. SHe had left red marks down his back and shoulders. They stung with the hot water running down them. He soaped up using the small grey dispensers and rinsed himself clean. Showers always had a way of clearing his mind. He robed back up and walked out, passing Tex as he did so. Allen- "Sleep well?" She shook her head. Tex- "Not really. Kenneth and I had a talk, I went back to my room and couldn't exactly get into a good sleep. Yourself?" He smiled. Allen- "Like a baby." She jammed her middle finger up at him and walked into the showers, glancing briefly at the bruising and scratchmarks on his body. He laughed and began walking back to his room. If he didn't know they would be getting to the Event Horizon later, it probably would be nothing short of a grand day. As it was, he turned his thoughts back to the mission and began formuating plans for a boarding party. A boarding party and exploration of the ship...
