Kinetic Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Well, my family has been living in this house for about a year on a lease. We're about to move to a better house and we read our lease. It states that we moved in on June 31, 2003 There are three problems with this. Problem One: We moved in on May 22, 2002 and we have the receipt Problem Two: June only has 30 days. Problem Three: 2003?! We're not even to June 30th yet, much less June 31st! Please share your thoughts :)
conpiracymonki Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Maybe that's when the lease ends and it was all a big typing mess-up? *shrug* lol, that's so stupid.. =)
Epitome Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Thats sounds so stupid, but somehow hilarious. I cant stop laughing. *falls out of chair laughing*
Kinetic Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 Nope. It's hillarious. It should end in June, but it's June 22 when it ends and they said it's when it began lol.
Guest Matt Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I didn't think it was funny at all. It's just a typo that could prolly easily be fixed.
Fall Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Maybe they were trying to get you to stay longer, therfore paying them more money, therefore them becoming more rich, and you becoming more poor. Or it could just be a mistake. You're better off getting it checked up.
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I don't see any big conspiracy theory or irony going on here. It seems just like a simple case of someone screwing up the paper work with a lot of typos.
Baron Samedi Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 yer. it is funny to think about but overall not that big a thing. it is strange what things happen though eh????
DevilzAdvocate Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 yer i thought it was funny i wonder what they must of been thinkin wen they wrote it
Kinetic Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 It's not just a small typo either, because it goes into big detail about when we moved in and how long we had to wait for them to fix up the house and everything, but I still got a kick out of it. Anyway, we don't know when we're allowed to break the lease, but if we're not allowed to break it now, we're going to argue that we haven't even ever lived there lol.
Deedlit Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I think that the person who typed that had a hangover the previous night...That is pretty funny.
Barra Maral Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I would definitely agree with deedlit. lol Or it in all likely hood could be a typo. GO get it checked out.
Blue Truth Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Thats funny, but what would really make it funny is if you actually tried to stay in the house another year. :-D
Corey Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Personality Number One-If they don't let you leave you can always stay in the house for another year free of charge considering that you payed for a year when, as the documents say, you never even lived there in the first place. Personality Number Two- My computer once told me it was February 30th. Turned out I had a virus.
Sara Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 It's funny, because it's wrong in so many ways. I had an experience rather like this once...I don't remember what with, but yeah. Ya gotta find humor in life somewhere. ^_~
