Anime Comabt styles used in DBZ

Well it's a japanese anime, right, well then what are the types of arts they use, because when you look at their fights you see a fighting art simular to the phillipine's kali and escrima, so if anyone had a thought on this please tell me, thanks :tasty:

if you think about it, it's not really martial arts. it's more like a series of kicks & punches. street fighting or something.

um.. i think i think they ment the fighting .. without the ki(sp?) attacks..

they don't really use any form of martial art, its mostly just basic punches and kicks, you just see the do a stance every now and then....

i agree partly with this, but gokou was taught Kung-Fu by his grandfather Gohan, so that is the style he uses, but then they all go off with there own variations.

back to the topic, the only martial I can link to something that I know is mad cow technique in DB. It's like one of Chinese martial drunken martial art. I don't recognize any type of martial art in DBZ [/color]
