Chain Letters... they make me so mad!

All right, so usually when I get them I look for pictures first and if they're cute or funny I pass them on. Ones without piccies I normally just delete and then go on with my day, don't think about it much. I mean, I don't have to look at them. Now, one of my friends on Gaia got this chain letter posted in his comment board so in return, put it on mine.
WHEN YOU ALREADY START READING THIS DONT STOP OR ELSE SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN |MY NAME IS TEY I AM 7 YEARS OLD WITH BLOND HAIR AND SCARY EYES. I HAVE NO NOSE OR EARS. I AM DEAD. IF YOU DONT SEND THIS TO 15 PPL BEFORE YOU GO TO BED I WILL APPEAR TONIGHT WITH A KNIFE AND KILL YOU THIS IS NO JOKE SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U AT 10:22 IF YOU DO. SOMONE WILL TALK.
Now, usually this would just piss me off, right? Except for one thing. I'm one of those people who believes in ghosts. Many people would be freaked out by this message, but wouldn't admit it's because they believe in that stuff. Well, to a certain extent, I do. So, on top of that, it's twelve thirty at night and I'm the only one awake in my house. Except my cat. Who is running around like a maniac. But I digress. I've also gotten little sleep as I didn't go to bed till five this morning and still got up at eleven thirty. So I'm tired, too. So now I'm paranoid, when logic in my head is telling me there is no reason to be scared. ((Which, by posting this, I am fixing my 15 people. Haha.))

So I have a question about this kind of chain letter: What kind of sick person enjoys freaking gullable ((hehe, oops.)) and innocent people out by sending them an email that says they'll die in horrible ways if they don't send it? I mean, really?
And why do fruitbats like me have to be so scared of them?

I'm one of those people who believes in ghosts.
As heartless as it sounds...quit believing in ghosts and simply delete it like you would any other chain letter. ^_~

As for what type of person enjoys it? Usually silly kids or teenagers with too much time on their hands. Though I'm sure there are adults who fit in that category as well.

Still... I've been deleting those things for a very long time. Nothing happens. lol

Reminds me of the myspace the movie [link: here]
Chapter 2: The bulletin.
Hahahah.

No, a crazy drunk hunter will not knock at your door asking for circus peanuts.
He won't taunt you with a duck call and a deer head or lead you on a chase.
You won't get shot in the back with an arrow.
and you most definitely not meet a singing fish at the last moments of your life.

There's no point into believing them. They usually are ridiculous stories anyways.

At least it wasn't someone asking for money to buy their way out of an abusive forced marriage in war-torn Iraq, or the deposed Sultan of the Taliban asking for a short-term loan in return for half his fortune. I have several email accounts, and one of them gets about 1,000 spams a week - mostly the usual pharmaceutical companies or Viagra distributors or mail-order Bachelors degrees, but sometimes ones like this as well:
Subject: i very want to find my love

Privet, gentleman

I am looking for a man who can make me happy. I want to hear the whisper of tender words in my little ears every morning I wake up. I want to feel the tender touches of his strong hands every evening when we are alone. I want to smell his perfume and to see him smiling when we are together out in the restaurant enjoying each other. I want to make his life a miracle... I am looking for a husband and I am here: http://loveonlylove.com/golove If my words found an answer in your soul, I am waiting for your note.

Waiting for your response

V_V I've been awake almost 24 hours now. I was tired and it was the middle of the night. o.0

I often get emails from my Christian friends about the whole "If you know God loves you pass it on" thing, even when they know I'm not Christian. -_- It's sad, really. Yeah, I have two working e-mails (stopped using Yahoo because it won't let me read or reply to emails), and only one of them gets spammed.

What's funny about some of these letters (and I know I digress) is that sometimes the people spamming you with them forget to attach the actual message...

Haha, hate those things =D
Even though I'm a Christian I still don't do those things. Because you can't show your love for God even if you did send that message to ten or twenty people, because in most of the chain letters, something bad happends to you if you don't (or so they say), but in reality, God won't punish you for something you didn't do (or don't do).

Anyway (don't know why I said that), I don't really do chain letters in the first place. Even though I have friends that send them to me, I don't really care about them.

There was this one, where there was a picture of a girl on a hospital bed and she was sleeping. But there was a ugly girl under her bed :o
And why do fruitbats like me have to be so scared of them?

You've really answered your own question you know. What kind of sick person enjoys freaking gullible (your word) people? One who knows that there are those gullible people out there. If no one bothered to pass it on, chain letters wouldn't exist.

It's ironic to read and hear how people get angry over chain letters when they get them. I've always found it a bit satisfying to kill them. To hit that delete button. I'm only sorry it doesn't kill every single one that was sent.

Take your claim that by posting you are 'fixing' people. That's just it, I read it, I laughed at it, but didn't send it to anyone last night. And yet here I am. No one appeared. lol Because no one ever does. ;)

As to why you are scared of them? Beats me, I've never understood it. Silly threatening chain letters, scary movies. The most me and my friends ever get out of them is a good laugh.

So do yourself a favor, hit that delete button next time.

Even if you believe in ghosts, don't worry about it. Ghosts probably have better things to do than spread poorly-written chain letters across the internet. =]

Remember that they were just made up by some bored kid looking for kicks.

Actually, I'd say the worst ones are the ones you actually get in the mail. As in your mailbox with a stamp on it. I got one not too long ago that was ten pages long and asked me to send it out to a dozen of my friends.

Like I don't get enough junk mail already.

Others have said it already but that's the whole problem right there. Even if you hate them, obviously you still support it to a certain degree. So obviously on some level they don't make you mad at all.

Honestly, those things are so stupid that it's painful. And I can't figure out why anyone would think they could be real. But then I don't believe in ghosts or things like that.

But yeah, like Rach I do like to kill them. Hitting that delete button is fun. :catgirl:

I used to get chain letters in my home mailbox saying stuff like if I don?t send this to thirty people. God will come to me in dreams and kill me. Then they display what happen to three people who didn?t follow instructions.

One thing, I don?t think stuff like that should happen. Two, bad stuff tends to happen out of irony times. So why do people believe a piece of paper that has no proof of thread? I know there are people who believe them and they will feel better in conscious if they did something?Uh, I just tend to ignore them, easy and move one with your life.
