The coloured version looks a hell of a lot better, as for the image "flowing" it flows anyways, you dont need the grain effect in there, it makes it look like a low quality image. The text also stands out some, not too much, but its more defined. The coloured version is much much better. ^_^

Looks nice. Could have done without the grainyness, though I dont think it makes a terrible difference. Im a little jealous though, your text looks miles better than mine, the monotonous colour, meh, I dont think im going for that, but on the whole, its a nice clean banner. ^_^

Thanks for the comments so far. Heres a request I got from Hataki vash, I wanted som feedback on it..so...here it is. A banner, based on the legacy of kain, im not totally happy with it to be honest, I think its a bit plain, but this is what I got so far...

I dunno...I voted for both because you need to have some form of talent to get anywhere, I mean I could practice all I wanted at drawing but i'd still be pretty crappy. Where as someone with talent would naturally have a good eye for angles, shading, that kinda stuff. Obviously, practice makes perfect and all, but yeah....I dunno..lol....you need both.

New banner, havent done much, art from the anime 'Gun slinger girl' I just had to use some of the art, I just fell in love with it. So yeah...here it is...not totally happy with the text, but I wanted the main focus to be on the character anyway. well here it is.

I dont have much time to post a rating for everything, plus im lazy. You know what I think about the banner already. I just wanted to reply about the drawing, I think its really good. His legs are really out of proportion though, but the top half rocks......just thought i'd tell yah. lol

Well...I havent made anything in a long time...but I recently downloaded some new brushes and stuff..so I thought i'd try them out. This piece isnt really anything special...its more of a "signature" piece if you will....the text is heavily inspired by hittokiri zero *stabs him* Anyway.....here it is...white border.......pretty simple *shrug*

If you want to see some of my work then you can go back a page or so and look. Im sorry if I offended you....well....im not really sorry....but maybe I shouldnt have just given negative points, I just thought something was better than nothing, I was in a rush after all. Anyway, I still stick to my point when I say the only thing this piece has going for it is the character image. The colours are a bit boring, maybe use some bolder colours to liven it up a little. The font, well, im not expert with fonts, but I know what I like...and I dont like that font, but thats just my opinion. Honestly, I think the major downfall this piece has is the green and pink colour, maybe a more contrasting colour instead of green...or maybe take the bars out all together.

I've been into Muse for a long time. My favourite album of theirs is Origin of symmetry. I really wanted to go see them on their last tour thing but it was sold out before I got there u-u; I dont know what it is I like about Muse other than the blend of soft and heavy music....and some of the distorted sounds they use I dont think any other band would normally think of. The inclusion of a piano in some of their songs adds a nice touch to it aswell. *shrug*

3 simple words to sum it up: I.Love.It The image you used in the top right, looks lovely. the layout, lovely. Colours, meh, to be honest im not feeling the grey, but still its not like that brings anything down. I love how the page is set out but the thing that sticks out, for me anyway, is the stamp effect on 94%, I know its simple but it adds so much to the effect you're trying to achieve. The little things make it stand out. great great great. ^_^

Latest banner, starting a new project to mirror Aerosoul, which isnt going too great for those who care. Anyway, it has a white border, the text is meant to look like its part of the border, so dont mention moving it up a bit. Other than that, comment away, be brutal. ^_^;

Thanks for the comments. The 06 is just a random part of the pixely work, just adds to the tech theme it has. I downloaded a load of new fonts so I might try some of those, but I really am a retard when it comes to typography so I asked hitto to give it a go. So we'll see what he comes up with. Lol. This thread didnt do too well did it? ;p Well this is as good of a time as ever to revive it. Im nearly finished with a banner, I have everything I like but I really dont have a clue on what to do with the text on this one. So if anyone has any suggestions then please let me know. Obviously dont just suggest things for the text, I would just like some help with that area is all.

Yes, the rules say not to double post art, I never said you should double post art, I meant be patient and wait for people to reply first, there really is no need to post all your art at the same time, i mean come on. If I remember rightly, keeping your art in one thread is encouraged. *shrug*

Yeah, I was looking at the sketch of this before. The colouring does look really nice, the green version is probably the worst, due to the colour of the tongue I think. I cant decide whether I like the black or blue better, I think the blue. Not much else I can say sicne you didnt actually draw it....but it looks ten times better coloured....meh cool cool.... whole thing: 7/10 your colouring: 8/10

I really couldnt be bothered reading everyones replies and what not, but me and hittokiri have been griping about this for some time. Now I think about it, I dont think its the fact that people just arent posting, although that is a large factor, its that all the n00 --new people to this forum >>; are making threads for every piece of art they do, instead of sticking to one topic. Resulting in threads being pushed to the back. Obviously this isnt a problem if you're just making the odd topic every now and again but still. People think that they shouldnt post, in fact, not posting is probably the most offensive thing you can do with art. I mean, if people posted to my art saying bad things about it, fine, at least they took the time, but when you check for replies and see 50 page views and no replies its just down right rude. :/ Bah, we might just sound bitchy but I really think the better artists on this board arent getting the feedback they deserve.

Meh, I compliment since you all crying on aim. ;p Anyways, back to the wallpaper, I love the colour for a start, you hardly ever see orange used in graphics. So thats a nice change. As always, the typography looks gorgeous. You always blend different fonts together and make them look so natural, I love that. The cleanliness of the character, also great, as always. The airbrushing, meh, looks kinda horrible, you should've left it with just the text like I said, the airbrushing just looks.....tacky? I dunno, I dont like it at any rate. So yeah, the only thing letting it down is the poor airbrushing, but as you said, it might just be that you resized it, but I cant see that making too big of a difference. *shrug*

Lol, yeah I know, I meant to say the green one was better in my other post but got messed up somewhere. The edges ae more jagged because I used a lot of colour dodge and effects like that. I quite lik the jaggedy look, but like I was meant to say, its not as good as the original.

Well, I havent made anything new for the aerosoul project, but I have done a little remake of the original banner I posted. I like it but I think its better than the green one. I just wanted to see what it'd look like with some more colours and what not. I also added a little thing to the border, nothing great. Anyway, here it is.

Ah, i've been waiting for you to make a topic on this. I personally think this is your best banner yet. Its....Icant explain what I like about it .... its ... chaotic and yet.....organised. I love how you used the greys and reds, the left side is my favourite part though, the circles really finish it off and give the impression of great detail and care being taken over the banner. an all round 9/10 ^_^
