Umm... is the max. for fanart size supposed to be 200kb? Other fanart I've submitted have been a lot larger than that, and when I try resizing one to be 200kb, it's really tiny... (Sorry if this doesn't belong in here.)
Yeh, its been at 200kb for quite some time. If you suggest it be a little higher, just send Adam and e-mail.

What browser are you using, and if you know, what version is it? Also, what is your internet speed (are you on dial-up or broadband)? You may need to give the song a few seconds to load, they aren't that big as they are midis though.

The actual size limit is listed in the rules, which is required reading for all members. We also have a system in place that if the image you place in your signature is over the 500x100 limit, it will not allow you to add it to your sig, so pretty much if you can add it to your sig you should be able to use it. [ link ]
well, here's the code I wanted to pt in my sig: Animation from Gpetz.com how do I put that as an [IMG'] thing?
Check out the OtakuBoards FAQ next time for commonly asked questions like these, click. Anyways, place the following code in your signature:
[*center][*img]http://www.gpetz.com/animations/animation287.gif[/img]
Important: You must remove the asteriks (*) from the two beginning tags, I placed that there as to not actually show the picture.
"Maybe"? lol If they're that unsure then maybe they shouldn't vote in the first place.
Exactly, lol. A vote of 'maybe' wouldn't even affect the outcome. On another note, implementing a 1 - 10 scale would be rather cumbersome for the users end. The current setup now makes perfect sense, you either like the artwork or not. No need to go further from that, right? You always have the option not to vote. Anyways, thats how I see it and I don't see any changes coming.

Everything should be fixed now, let me know if you spot any more errors with it. Thanks for pointing it out

For now on, if you wish to report plagiarism please use the link next to the piece of fan art in question. Give as much detail as possible in the form that will popup, and we will investigate as soon as possible. Thank you.
MyOtaku seems to refuse to upload a new avatar pic onto the site. Every time I tell it to upload a pic it will say that it has been uploaded, but when I check, the old one is still there. The image is only 80x80 and 10k, so it easily falls into the requirements listed in the "Site Content" area.
I'm not sure where you are having a problem, I've tested it multiple times. Are you sure you're using a .gif or .jpg format? We do not support any other formats. If you still can not get it to work, try saving the image again in your paint editor -- there is a possibility the image has become corrupt, and may result in it being declined.

First, this isn't the appropriate forums for this topic. Secondly, if you go to the Recruitment forum you can find this topic http://otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=29600 on getting others involved. Looking at other RPGs might help as well -- get some ideas, etc.
But as for any other situation, I have no answer.
There is nothing we can do for this other situation, as we do not actually host the file nor is it our duty to make sure the file exists on another server. When you say you check the properties of the signature banner, what are you checking?...

While the suggestion is a good one, incorporating a spell check into the forums is not something I foresee at all. Mainly, it would be rather difficult to do this, especially for myself, and I highly doubt a hack/modification will be released for this soon. To put it simply, there won't be a spell check at the boards in a long time. However, one suggestion I make is to simply type up your posts in Word or Works and then paste it into the reply box. This would be more efficient, as Word also helps on grammar, etc.

I can't seem to reproduce this on Internet Explorer 6 or the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Could you give me some steps to reproduct the problem? Also, let me know your browser and version along with screen resolution. Thanks.
I looked all about in here, and did not find my question/problem. So here goes. When I try to submit a wallpaper I get teh following message, "Greeting cards must be 350 by 350 pixels or smaller" I'm not sure how to fix that either. I have tried clicking on wallpaper, and even tried by going through the wallpaper site to the submit page. It seems as though I am the only one with this problem. I'll keep working on it, but could somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?
It is an incorrect error message that I will get Adam to fix. Just make sure you uploaded your wallpapers in 1024 x 768 size.

This actually isn't a problem on our end, chances are it is whoever is hosting your image. You may want to find another site to host the banner -- thats probably why it is not showing up.

Looking at your profile, I see all 6 threads you have started. I'm not sure that there is a glitch, and if there was it isn't with us -- its vBulletins software. Of course, vBulletin has fixed a LOT of bugs and something as simple as this would've been brought up my now. It might depend on your settings in User CP, because sometimes it wont show a thread older than 90 days (or whatever the setting is). Also, the search index has to be updated and that doesn't happen instantly.

We do not officially support pages with added HTML like those with shoutboxes. We will do what we can, but when it comes to another sites' service there is not much we can do.
I, for one, am infuriated. How am I supposed to lord my superiority over new members without my 5000+ post count?!?! James, I hate you.
Well.. for one, I think having Moderator privileges might show some superiority, eh? Oh wait wait, what about being a Team Leader and showing that superiority under your user name? *takes privileges away*

What version of Mozilla are you using? Also, I've just noticed the problem with the Jukebox for Mozilla. However, I did not develop it and therefore can not support it. I will make sure Adam is aware of it, and hopefully, he can fix it. Regarding Guru submissions -- I tested it out with both Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla 1.5. I don't see what problem you could possibly have. Are you giving it enough time to load the page, pressing the button only once?
-
Well, what browser are you using?
-
It is a rather easy fix. Log into your myOtaku account, go to your backroom. Then, in the left navigation, click 'Edit Content'. What you should see is: [Starter Options] By default, your myOtaku.com homepage is turned off. Turn it on if you'd like to use it - recommended. Off or On? Change Off, to On :D
