I would like to personally apologize because I've been gone... well, I'm not sorry for leaving to Belgium because it was a Christian thing, but I'm sorry to dissapoint others.[/SIZE']
::sigh:: That's quite alright. I guess I might aswell wait on 1nOnlyCloud and Kitty since they probably left for some vacation without telling me too. v__v Honestly, though. 2. End Round! Round 1 is over! Since Team Lion never posted their graphic, Team Wolf was put in the same battle as Team Cobra and Team Mongoose, competing with them for first place. Here are what our judges had to say about the pieces.
The Boss My opinions are as goes. I enjoy the boldness and color selection of Cobra's entry. The choice of styling and effects really make the piece for me. So much so that I'd actually wear a piece of clothing with that design on it. Though a few objects seem oddly placed, it's still a very beautiful work all together. For Mongoose, I enjoy the layers and originality of the piece. The wording and the lambs are very cool, and the entire right side of the peice, with the sheet music and all, really shows me your collective skill. However, this subtracts from the actual subject for me, instead of emphasizing it. For Wolf, I feel as though I cannot hold anything against your peice with the other two because it is essentially a different subject. I enjoy the color choice and designs spread through out and the two phrases set up. However they are either hard to see and the font choice for the right hand corner really brings things down for me. It could have popped more. And so my final ruling goes: 1st: Cobra 2nd: Mongoose 3rd: Wolf (though I believe with another subject you guys could have done better) My descesion is based on two things. The fact that I simply enjoy Cobra's final graphic better, and the fact that it was the only one on time. Be a bit snappier next time. Peace.

Dragon Warrior Okay, okay, now this is just crazy. I look at the entries sent to me and I check one of them out and first thing I see--first frickin' thing I see--is motha flippin' sheep climbin' a skyscraper! Is this a graphic thread or the circus? I oughta take you out into the street and beat ya'll with a chairleg. Honestly. Having said that, I do have some thoughts. I have to admit, I do like Cobra's. What can I say? They went all out, it looks like. Or maybe they're holding back their abilities 'til the final round. Kind of like in some DBZ episode where they're all like, "Okay, now I'm going to kill you," and the other guy's like, "F that, I was holding all my power back 'til now," and the first guy's like, "Ah, hell no!" and then he gets pimp-slapped, yo! Still, as I was saying before I went on that obnoxiously slang-ridden rant, I really like how they kind of went three dimensional with the piece. Check out how the skyscraper is at one angle, the newspaper or whatever's in another, and then the snowman and shiz is all like, "Woah, 2-D!" It's like, totally rad, man. That bird kicks some serious butt. Totally would waste Vegeta. Is it going in years, though? Or... what's up with that? The little numbers... 02... 03... eh? Still, none of the pieces really made sense aside from Wolf's. It's message was clear: Drink Booze. Though the humor was in the right place, it didn't seem up to par with its fellow competitors. Still, it makes you wanna crack open a cold one, don't it? I was all like, "Wooo! Let's get it started in here!" after seeing it and all muh ladies were over and we got down wit' our bad selves :^D Okay, White told me to stop talking gangster :( Anyways, as previously mentioned, there are flippin' sheep crawling up buildings in Mongoose's. But hey, I like it. Dare I say, I like it the most? Damn right I do. It reminds me of a storybook with the whole "cutout" lines and clouds that look like popup books. To quote McDonalds and hope not to have a lawsuit slapped on me, I'm Lovin' It. I guess it kinda makes sense. It predicts the future? Sheep apocalypse? I dunno. Work with me here... So overall, that stuff was whack. And I've seen some pretty f'ed up shiz in my day. White'll tell ya. That one time... haha... that one time we went to that amusement park and that guy in line... but I won't get into that. Now to judge. You know what I think already, man! 1- Mongoose 2- Cobra 3- Wolf Looks like the mongoose does get the cobra... not sure how it beat a wolf, though. Kinda... weird...

White The following is my take on all three submissions. First of all, Cobra's entry really catches my attention. The colour scheme matches the theme of the picture very well and I love all the shapes. I'm also quite fond of the 01,02,03 and 04's found throughout the image. I was quite disappointed with Mongoose's submission. The pink and buildings really don't go together at all and the sudden white to the right seems kind of random. However the designs are very nice and the sheep climbing the buildings are kind of cute. The clouds are also very cool (though I would suggest bringing the Drop Shadow distance to zero). Wolf's image is a breath of fresh air. I was very skeptical about the beer image a few minutes after I posted it, but you guys really nailed it. I really like the colour blue you guys used and the way the beer is kind of half filling the white lines is really neat. I'm also quite fond of the way Picture 2 and Picture 3 blend together. The designs behind the beer glass is really cool. All in all, I decided that Wolf should take first, leaving Cobra with second and Mongoose with third.
And that's that. I used a point system to find the winner. Everytime a team got first, they got 3 points, second place won them 2 points and third place got them 1 point. With a total of 7 points, taking first place is Team Cobra. Right behind in second place with a total of 6 points is Team Mongoose. And with a surprising 5 points trailing on Mongoose's tail is Team Wolf in third place. Congratulations to all of you, you all worked hard and it will pay off.

  4. Okay, okay. I just have to post here to point out a few things. You talk about being Mr. Super-Christian or something, right? Well you're totally contradicting your own religion. You said "They were nice people but not MY people." Alright, so you won't go out with someone with dark skin but you'll worship them? I do hope you realize that not only was Jesus jewish, but he was also middle eastern. He was in no way white. Kay, I'm done. :)
  5. Yeah, that's the video I saw aswell. Actually that's my bad because I had remembered it being the opposite (that being the camera being behind the characters while choosing attacks and in classic view only during attacks). So, yeah. The camera is find for me, now. Thanks for the correction. As for the top screen thing, I think I'll live. It would have been nice to see them put it to better use, but I guess there will always be other games (for instance, I liked what Partners in Time did. Nothing special but it made a difference). 6. OtakuDestined Author's Comments: Sorry it took so long this time around, everyone. A lot of stuff on my plate that had to be taken care of. Anyway, this is Part 1 of a two part chapter. It's not two parts because it's long, just because I'm lazy. The other half will be up later today, most likely. Chapter 3 "Of Love and Light" Part I "Great," muttered Mary. "What now?" After Mary and Biyomon had landed in the ocean, they managed to drift back to shore. A tropical beach to be more specific. But tropical or not, they just wanted to be with their friends/ "They probably think we're dead." Mary moaned. Biyomon dropped some sticks on a pile and patted Mary on the pat. "It's alright, Mary! They'll find us." "Doubtful." said a mysterious voice. It was not Mary, who could it have been? Two shadows emerged from the forest, one much taller than the other. It was Kitty and Salamon! "Kitty!" yelped Mary, who got up and raced to hug her friend. Kitty giggled and hugged her back. After constant "Are you okay?!"'s, Kitty spoke up. "Really, I'm fine. When Salamon and I fell into the water, we also drifted to this beach. I quickly assumed you guys thought I was a goner and decided to build a small shelter until I was strong enough to go out and find you guys." She said, leading Mary and Biyomon to said camp. It was nothing special. Just a bunch of logs piled up to make a roof, really. But there was a fire, and that was all they really needed. For more than a day, the two Otakudestined exchanged stories about what had happened. They went fishing with their Otakumon, and even played Tic-Tac-Toe in the sand. It was just after Kitty had once again defeated Mary (though she was letting her win) in Tic-Tac-Toe that they heard screaming. "What the hell?" said Kitty. Biyomon looked at Salamon and they both nodded then ran towards the shouting. Mary and Kitty quickly followed. "It's Yokomon!" shouted Biyomon while running. "There must be a Yokomon village near here." And there was. When they got there, however, they recieved anything but a welcome party. Ravaging through the village was a large fire humanoid Otakumon. He was swiping at the Yokomon in anger, just throwing them around like toys. "Meramon." said Salamon, spitting her words. The Meramon glanced over at the two Otakudestined. "Burning!" he screamed, almost in pain. He charged at Mary, hand raised and fireball ready to strike. Just before the fireball came crashing down on the two girls, both their digivices began to glow. They were going to take it up a notch. A large beam of light embraced both of them and their shapes began to change. Biyomon became a large, orange bird with flames for wings. "Biyomon otakuvolved to... Birdramon!" Salamon also changed, but not as durastically as Biyomon. She grew a few inches and stoof up on her hind legs. "Salamon otakuvolved to... Gatomon." The two champion level otakumon looked at eachother. One, a huge phoenix, the other a small kitty-cat. Meramon laughed at Gatomon. But it was too soon because she jumped up faster than anything and swiped him across the face. He clutched his face and fell to his knees screaming. Just then, Birdramon flew into the air behind him and flapped her huge wings a few times before shooting a large fireball at his back. He growled in anger and glanced at Birdramon. Jumping to his feet, he sprinted towards her and dived at her legs, managing to grab and talon and bring her to the ground. +++++++++++++++++ Chapter 3 "Of Love and Light" Part II Quickly, Gatomon reacted fiercely and pounced onto Meremon's back. To her surprise, a giant black gear was protruding from his spine. She cautiously touched it and then started scratching at it. The more she damaged it, the more Meremon screamed in agony. Eventually he let go of Birdramon's leg, allowing her to fly into the sky. After damaging the gear a lot, Gatomon jumped off of Meremon's back and yelled to Birdramon. "Birdramon! Aim for the gear!" she yelped. Birdramon screeched in reply and flapped her wings, charging a fire attack. When a large fireball was readied infront of her, she flapped once more allowing the wind to carry it towards the weakened Meremon. The attack was a direct hit and the gear flew out of Meremon's back, exploding in the air. Meremon's body went limp. Birdramon and Gatomon also reverted back to Biyomon and Salamon, returning to Kitty and Mary. After a few minutes, Meremon regained conciousness. He looked at his surroundings. Thousands of small Yokomon staring at him, and two Otakudestined. "I'm sorry about what I did." he said calmly. "I don't know what came over me." Mary nodded. "It's okay. Kitty and I think it might have been something to do with that black gear inside your back." she explained. Meremon sighed and apoligized once more, before returning to his volcanoe home. The Yokomon all cheered around the Otakudestined. Then the cheering stopped as one Yokomon stepped forward. "Please! We would love it if you four stayed with us for dinner." she said joyfully. Mary and Kitty smirked and nodded in reply. Just as they were about to get their food, they heard shouting in the distance. It was Alex! And everyone else behind him! Kitty stood up and waved back. "Hey!" she shouted happily. The Otakudestined were united once again and they all had stories to tell.
  7.
Character Name: Nappa Signature Attacks:

Bomber DX: An attack that can be used over and over, Nappa charges up wave ki and fires it with one hand.
Bakuhatsu-ha: Nappa rases two fingers in the air and creates a large explosion around him. This attack takes a small sum of energy when used just once, but the more he uses it the more energy it takes. He often uses it to destroy large cities.
Saiko Waza: An attack invented by Nappa, he only uses it as a last resort. Nappa fires a blue beam of energy from his mouth similar to that of Saiyans in their Oozaru forms. He calls this his ultimate move.
Special Abilities:

Oozaru: A skill used all too often by Saiyans, Oozaru is the name of a giant ape form any Saiyan with a tail turns into when a moon is present. This giant gorrilla possesses only one attack that uses Ki and that is firing powerful beams of Ki from their mouths. The Oozaru form can be stopped by either cutting off its tail or getting rid of the full moon.
Character Chronicles:
[Space, Approaching Earth in two Space Pods] "Are we there yet?" sighed a large, muscular man. He had a bald head, the only hair visible hair being his black eyebrows and thin handlebar mustache. He leaned back in his chair, looking over to the man drving the spacepod next to his. It was Vegeta, Prince of Saiyans. Also one of his partners and friends. "Shutup, Nappa. You're acting childish." Vegeta spat. Nappa grumbled and leaned forward again, grabbing the steering wheel with his hands instead of his feet. He yawned and spoke again, to Vegeta's dismay. "Why are we going to this pitiful planet, anyway?" Nappa asked in his regular brute voice. "I'm sure Radditz can handle one small excuse for a planet." Vegeta growled at Nappa. Nappa certainly knew how to press Vegeta's buttons, and his temper only got larger and larger as the years went on. The only reason they kept Nappa around was because of his fierce strength in battle. "Because..." he said calmly. "Radditz left quite a while ago and he has made no appearance as of yet. And if I'm correct, the planet has not been destroyed." Nappa scratched his head. Vegeta had no patience for anyone that didn't do their jobs correctly. Even his own friends. Nappa sighed and concentrated on the empty space, wizzing past stars and planets. He stretched one of his arms, glancing at his large muscles. He grinned and made a pose, almost laughing at the poor souls he would be soon crushing with his fists. He also felt his soft brown tail. Like most Saiyans did, he had his tail wrapped around his waist like a belt. This lessened the chance that someone would cut it off.

  8.
I guess I should rephrase that: There's not a whole lot they could do outside of gimicks. Stretching a spell/summon animation across two screens. . . . Sorry, but that just doesn't impress me.
It may not be impressive, but not a lot of games have done it. And besides, I'd rather have that then just a black screen. About the camera, I don't really like the angles they've gone with during battles. While choosing attacks and such, the camera switches from the classic view to a behind the characters kind of view. It's nothing special, but it just bothers me. I geuss they did it so you get a better view of the front of the enemies.
  9.
Aww. Well, the "Hi-yah" still carries it. And really, the
life raft really probably would work (better than the luggage in the doorways at least lol) to a degree because the snakes probably wouldn't be smart enough to try to burst through it. They'd just see an obstruction, and go off another direction.

Yeah I guess that is true. One thing I thought was funny though was the
whole Anaconda fiasco. Yes, there was an Anaconda. Whoop de doo. But the funny part is that when you first see the snakes, there are at least four Anacondas sliding around in the cages as if they were water serpents. Haha.
Oh and what was with the
shaking of the cat cage when the snake is killing the kitty? Were they getting busy? Did I miss something? I'm pretty sure that if a snake crawled into a cat cage like that the cage wouldn't shake like a shag-wagon.

  10.
For an RPG like this I don't really care if they make a whole lot of use of the two screens. I mean, there's really not a whole lot they could[/i'] do. Putting a map or menu on one screen while the action is on the other seems like about it.
Are you kidding? lol Final Fantasy is more than well known for their awesome spells and summons. Can you imagine having the spell animation for Ramuh's thunderbolt (lightning summon) or something coming down from the top screen and into the bottom screen? Or how about Meteo? You could do some really cool stuff using both screens.
  11.
Nintendo said the DS wasn't supposed to replace the GBA, but I dunno. I don't think they have any games in development for the GBA anymore, and it also wasn't shown at all during the last E3. So, you know, a rose by any other name.
Well they couldn't have meant for it to replace the GBA since even while the DS was out in stores, the Gameboy Micro was launched. But I do think that they still mean for the DS to slowly overtake the GBA. The DS Lite was a way of saying "Get with the times". But yeah, I too heard about one screen being blank at points in time, Des. This does not please me, however. Because this means that during battles, Square isn't even taking advantage of the dual screen. In fact I'm pretty sure that the only thing the top screen is used for is a map while walking around (which is pretty handy, actually). Regardless, being able to use the stylus for selecting skills and magic and whatnot will make things a whole lot faster and easier.
  12.
Not true,
he did punch a snake once as it was about to strike the girl with the dog. And he made a hilarious "hi-yah" sound when he did it too.[/spoiler'] XD
Actually I thought that at first aswell but all he did was
grab the snake right behind the head and throw it, not karate chop
. One of the best parts (besides
"Who's your daddy now, *****?!") would have to be when they inflated the life raft in the staircase to stop the snakes from climbing up. A life raft. The same life raft that if you jabbed it with a nail it would deflate. The same life raft that you could punch a hole in the middle with your bare fist.

  13. You're right. It is missing something. And unfortunately I can't pinpoint exactly what either, but it certainly isn't another colour. I feel like there's too much empty space (the text in the background kind of blends together and just looks like a pretty background). And I don't like the box you have around [entrada aolo]. Try making the white part transparent. Maybe even take out the words completely and leave the four big letters. If you don't want to take out the text, I'd try playing around with the placement a little (with and without the box). I'd suggest placing it (without the box) underneath ENAO and make it big enough so that it's the same width. Other than that it's pretty cool, maybe not your best, but definitely nice to look at.

    Brushes

Oh boy. Pre-made brushes. It's like the Lounge's Reliogion threads for the Art Studio. Personally, I've only used pre-made brushes once. And that was because it was for the graphics worm and the person before me had used a certain brush and that brush was continuing on into my piece. Other than that, I've never used a pre-made brush. I really don't like it, actually. Sometimes it can be faster, yeah. But I find I really don't get that exact look that I'm picturing in my head and it limits my creativity. As for other artists using pre-made brushes? Yes, it does effect what I think of them as an artist. Mind you, it doesn't make a huge difference. I just go from "Wow that's really cool!" to "Wow that's really cool! Too bad you used pre-made brushes...", heh. It just seems weird to me because you didn't make the brush, so it's as if that part of the graphic isn't yours. Here's an analogy for you. Say you're drawing a picture of a starry night sky with a lovely moon in the top right corner. Let's pretend you finish the piece, but you got your friend to draw the entire moon in the top right for you. Well that kind of takes away from the drawing, doesn't it? Van Gogh didn't have his friends help paint his art. And I'm sure that any self-respecting artist around would never let someone else paint on their artwork and then call the entire piece theirs. I think it's the same with Graphic Design.
  15. Even though I was half-joking when I said I claimed it after jigglyness, I might aswell claim it anyway. Since people are probably expecting me to do it. ;) So yeah, I'm working on it. ^_^ EDIT: I really liked the way jigglyness did the lines and arrow and what not, so I decided to make half my piece by just continuing that. 17. Mask readied Anoker, setting the rod to dagger mode. A dirk-blade slid out of the prongs and locked in position. Mask gracefully walked over to the unconcious Dark while his sister marched towards the brave but sweating Quell. Just as Mask was about to slit the throat of his opponent, his sister yelped and fell to the floor. Quell had grabbed her leg at the last moment and tripped her to the floor. Mask panicked and holted towards Quell, but he stopped after realizing Quell now had his strong robotic arm wrapped around a struggling Andrea's throat. Mask winced as he recieved a major headache. "Whaddya gonna do, boy?" said the cocky bounty hunter, squeezing a little bit tighter on the women's throat. Mask wiped his forehead for about the tenth time over the course of the entire fight and glared into Quell's eyes. He was smiling at Mask. The nerve. Just then, Andrea loosened Quell's grip a little and muttered. "Thilan.. just... kill me. You've got the upperhand if I'm out of the picture. Do it." she said. Mask stared into his sister's eyes, almost starting to tear up. But he resisted. Finally he set Anoker to stun and lunged forward, zapping his sister in the neck. She went limp and the shocked Quell backed away a bit. "You got guts, kid. You're own sister. You killed 'er!" he laughed and then put his arms on his hips. "So what now? You gonna try and kill me then?" Mask slipped Anoker into it's scabbard and turned the prongs off. He reached for one of his bombs. A Snooze Bomb as he called it. It was filled with sleeping gas. He unlatched it and smashed it on the ground infront of him. The gas instantly went everyone, seeping into the noses of the Bounty Hunters. The stunned Andrea, the unconcious Dark, the fearless Quell and the optimistic Mask all went into a state of slumber. Just as Mask fell to the ground, eyes closing, he hoped that him or Andrea would be the first ones to awake.
  18.
I've been involved with band and school in general all week (I just got back from rehearsal). Sorry, but my real life comes before my online one. I PMed the other members of my team informing them that after Tuesday I would be unable to do any serious graphics work until Saturday. I was hoping that that would be acceptable. Sakurasuka has sent me her part of the piece, so I would like to continue on with my part, if that's okay.
I'm afraid it's not okay. Telling your team does nothing if you don't tell me. I realize real life is more important, but if you're going to commit to something as such, you should at least make it a priority to take part. And why would you assume Saturday would be fine? Maybe had you told me I would have let it slide. The deadline was the 16th. So I'm sorry, but you'll just have to hope that Kitty, KW and Cloud all show up before the beginning of Round 2.
  19.
#%%$#&%$#!!!!!!! My mother has decided it best for me not to go see it with my older friends. Since it is restricted and all.
And that's why Canada is so great. Turns out it's only rated 14a in Canada so I got to see it today with a few friends. Anyway, I think it's time for... White's Movie Review
Alright, for the first and only edition of White's Movie Review, I'm reviewing Snakes on a Plane. I'll be putting spoiler tags around anything that I may consider spoilers just so you all know. Here it is. I get into the theatre, more pumped about a movie then ever before. I think there were only two to three trailers (one of which was for a movie that looks awesome -- The Covenant). So yeah, the movie starts. I love the font they use (currently trying to find it). Instantly people are laughing just because it starts off so freaking
cheerful
. But yeah, the movie was hillarious with a group of people (theatre full, actually) simply because everyone basically knew about all the hype and was anticipating the silly action sequences. When Jackson first entered, people were cheering. It was nuts. I think one of the best parts was when he finally says "
I've had it with these mother ******' snakes, on this mother ******' plane!
" Everyone in the theatre exploded with laughter and clapped and cheered. That was great. The whole movie was downright ridiculous. But in all honesty, it was quite entertaining even as an action movie. It had a few decent surprises and a even a part that had me on the edge of my seat. But besides that, it was just so retarded that it was funny. I highly reccomend seeing this film before it comes out on video, because if you don't see it was a bunch of people it may not be as funny as it was for people like me who didn't wait.
20.
And I was just wondering when the winners will be announced?
The third piece isn't even done yet. >: | But yeah, as soon as Wolf's piece is up the judges will decide the winner. We'll be deciding, of the three teams, who gets first, second, and third. Third place will just do a 2v2 the next round. And if all four of our missing members show up before the next round, I'll automatically make them fourth place and I will handicap them. Otherwise they're out.
  21. It seems as though the missing competitors aren't going to show up, so here's what's happening. I'm going to move sakurasuka to Team Wolf and they will finish their piece together. That will leave three graphics for the judges to decide who's were the best. Kitty, Keyblade Wielder, Chikaro Kokoro, and 1nOnlyCloud are officially kicked out of the tournament. So, in case the new Team Wolf is wondering about what to do, here's what's happening.

Continue working on your piece with the beer glass.
The order will go Boo, Sara, jigglyness and sakurasuka. This way you don't have to start anything over.
You have as long as you like to finish it due to the circumstances.
When you do finish, post it in the Wolf vs Lion thread.
EDIT: I edited the team graphics. :)
  22. If nobody shows up, I'll post again explaining what will happen. And unfortunately for sakurasuka (and I realize this may not be entirely fair), that may mean her team just automatically getting fourth. One person missing is alright, but three? That's just irritating (once again, I realize this is in no way JayCee's fault). EDIT: THIS IS POST NUMBER ONE-THOUSAND! WOO!
  23. Better. Much better. I thought the first one was great, but the text was a little plain (and sometimes plain can be good, but not there). But this revamped version is a lot cooler. I love the wind filter (or whatever it is) on the text and how Beauty is bigger and much more prominent. It also leaves more room for the pretty picture. :) I can't think of anything to fix about it, really. Maybe a thicker inner-border.
  24. Yeah, this almost seems offensive to post this in Art by Request. As if Alex is the only one who could do it and you had to rub that in. ;___; I mean... I would've given it a shot. :(
  25. Even so, you have six, I have four. That's only a two piece difference. Four is still quite a bit. And besides, you could've put my full name. A Super Hot Guy Named White. Then I would have been first. >: | And in that case I claim it after jigglyness then. :)
