This was written for the US premiere of Pokemon Black and White versions by one of my favorite bands ever. A bunch of lucky New Yorkers get to watch them perform it live. Color me green.
Oh my god! That's awesome! So, I picked up Pokemon White (ohohoho) and have been pleasantly suprirsed with all the revamps. A few things they added that I love include the lack of one obvious rival and how the two you do have are your friends and not some douche grandson or thief. I liked how quick the introduction was, I just wanted to get my Pokemon and get going and that's what I got. All the new Pokemon are very cool (I hadn't really looked any up so they're mostly new to me) which surprised me. I also thoroughly enjoyed the first gym (getting the
monkey
was a cool idea, aswell). Finally, I love love love the fact that the camera ZOOMS OUT IN BATTLES. OMG ITS ABOUT TIME. I'm just training some of my guys in the patches of grass/double grass (another cool feature!) before Pinwheel Forest, this is what I've got so far in my lineup: Medusa the Snivy Happy the Purrloin Plu the Panpour Lunen the Munna Bolt the Blitzle Juggernaut the Throh I'll probably have to give up one of them for a flying Pokemon later for Fly but I'll worry about that later, heh. As for my preferred type of Pokemon, I've always liked Grass the most. I've never taken anything but the grass starter and I always find lots I like throughout the game. My friends and I decided when we beat Black/White we're all going to specialize in one type and make a 6 Pokemon team of that type. I'll be doing a grass team, my brother is doing a flying team, and 2 of my other friends are doing a Dark team and possibly an Eevee team. You guys should do the same and we can have a big Otakumon tournament. :)
2. LOL <3 win

3. its a joint not a cigarette XD

...and yes I did >3<

4. Gah, I didn't read your underground post for Witch Hunter until just now. I hope you don't mind what I did with the training thing. >.

5. Well, that can only be The Matrix of course. :3 Here's mine: "You made me swallow my gum! That's going to be in my digestive tract for seven years!"
6. Pardon me? It's rate the song above you, not ignore the song above you and do your own. The Beatles are well-known, yes, but the song I chose is not. I was actually hoping someone would give an appropriate and realistic critique of the song but apparently I was sadly mistaken. But you sound so cool in your post.
7. This song reminded me a lot of Mike Shinoda's rapping from Linkin Park, just without the rock backing that accompanies him. I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about it. My main issue with these kinds of songs is the beat never changes. Like... ever. I'm giving it a 5/10 because normally the redeeming quality about hip-hop groups is they have different people with different styles of rapping, but a lot of these guys sound alike (unless it's just the one rapping, I really don't know, lol). That being said, the rapping is decent and the beat is good. It just goes on for too long with little to no change, IMO. I found this really cool underground band, you may have heard of them. They're called The Beatles. I don't think they're very popular right now but I think they've got some decent songs. They probably won't make it big, though. 8. Observing the fight the whole time from a nearby tree sat Temaru and his cat Meko. Temaru had been practicing his transformation jutsu when Suki and the other boy had arrived but quickly fled to a tree to hide his failed transformation. He was pleasantly surprised to see Kagoya do an absolutely horrific transformation, making his seem like a clone but that uprising feeling did not last long as Suki's perfect transformation of Kagoya was astounding. Now that it had started raining, a lot of the other students had left the scene of the fight. Temaru, on the other hand, stayed fairly dry in his tree and decided to stay and see how it would end. He'd always been very good at taijutsu, but Temaru always chose gaining distance on his opponent rather than throwing a punch. Watching the two fight so flawlessly was motivating, though. Maybe I should spar more... Meko yawned. ...Nah. After a few more minutes of them exchanging blows, Temaru began to grow bored of the fight. "If this goes on at this rate, I don't think this fight will end until one of them has to go to the bathroom or something." he said to Meko. The cat mewed softly in agreement. "What do you say, Meko, shall we crash this party?" his cat meowed excitedly and jumped into his hood. Making some quick seals a puff of smoke appeared and was quickly wisped away by the strong wind of the storm revealing a very believable Kizuka-sensei. I think this is my best one yet! That advice Suki gave Kagoya really helped! Temaru paused briefly. I need to study more, apparently. He then smirked and jumped down from the tree just as the two fighters were seemingly about to land a hit on the other. "Hey! What are you two doing out here, you're going to catch a cold!" the two genin stopped and stared at the transformation for a second. They then exchanged skeptical looks and glanced back at Temaru. Standing up and out of her fighting stance, Suki patted some dirt from her shoulders as she walked up to the fake Kizuka. "You know, Temaru, if you want to make a believable Kizuka..." she sighed and didn't even have to finish her sentence as Toshiro did for her. "You need to lose the cat on your head." he said. Temaru glanced up at Meko, who was still the same black cat as always, purring ontop of his head. He released the transformation and slumped to the ground. "And here I thought I had fooled you guys." he frowned.
9. Felix sat in front of a large computer terminal that stretched from one side of the office to the other. An assortment of buttons and screens filled the terminal with 2 microphones on either side. Two raised swivel chairs in front of the terminal made the system look a lot more intimidating than it actually was. Sandy had to stand on the tips of his toes just to seat himself on the chair next to Felix. As the terminal had completely blocked his view of the window, Sandy suddenly saw Elena on the other side. "Oh hey, there's a window here, neat!" Sandy said. Elena turned to the window, hearing the young ones voice, and waved with a polite smile. Sandy waved back. "Kick some ass!" Felix laughed. He knew Elena would probably do very well, but that was also because he was going to start her on Level 1 of 10. Knowing she was already good to start, Felix moved his hand to a large red button at the back of the terminal. A large glass case covered the button as well as a black dial that went from 1 to 10 to the right of the button. He flipped the glass case open, turned the dial to 1 and slammed the red button. A monotone woman's voice echoed through the speakers. "Level 1 training simulation. Begin." Immediately following the voice, a small door on the other side of Elena opened up revealing a well-built robotic opponent. The robot walked out from the dark and into the lit room, its appearance changing from that of a robot to a spitting image of Elena with a flicker of static. Elena got into a fighting stance, prepared for the worst and the robotic opponent imitated her exact stance. Felix's voice echoed over the speakers. "This is what I've been working on so late all those nights. A robot designed to copy anything and everything its opponent throws at it. I've pre-coded it with all of your techniques, powers and fighting style, as well as your appearance." Elena was already exchanging blows with the android by this point. "So your training is for us to fight ourselves?!" she exclaimed, landing a right hook across the androids face. The Android went for the same punch, but Elena ducked and skidded backward to avoid the androids follow up electrical attack. "Basically. And this is only level 1. With each level it's the environment around you that will change, not your opponent. By level 10 the gravity will be intensified, you'll find it hard to breathe, the room will be incredibly heated, etc. Each level adds a new element of change for you to deal with." Sandy held a worried expression. "So, what if the android wins?" he asked. Felix put a hand on the boys shoulder and smiled eerily. "Then she dies." Sandy gulped.
10. I'm just going to go with you're a big fan of aluminum.

11. I think the majority of your profile views come from people trying to figure out what CaNz stands for.

12.
You guys are crazy for not having this one up sooner. This song is very simple, and simply awesome.
Ducky already posted it, lol. JEEZ CANZ. Alright, back on track with theme songs! Since CaNz put up Sonic X *shudder* I'll throw up the real Sonic. While Sonic X is catchy, the show was horrible. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, however, did everything right. This is Sonic in his cartoon prime. On a completely different note! Aww yeaaah.
13.
That's one hawt ending.
Bye! Bye! Bye! ...Bye! Bye! Bye! ...Bye!
14. Where is the library? My name is T-Bone the disco spider. Disco, doll, the library is in a big mustache, dog, lard. Lard, mustache, huge, little head is ice cream, beer is good. Good day, I like cold potatoes, the goat's mustache is Cameron Diaz.

15. I AM INDIFFERENT.

16.
This causes problems for people. I can usually justify my reasoning, but not without posting walls of text no one wants to go through.
lol
17. This thread is long and random! I like it!
18. Well, I certainly disagree that the drums don't change the tone of the song because they do, vastly, but I guess we can agree to disagree. And while I don't consider them having a female singer that can do a good rock song to be a strong point (it's uncommon, yes, but it's her talent as a singer that contributes to the song not her gender) your other 3 points are valid. I suppose I over-exaggerated my complaints about the Gimme Sympathy line as well due to being a bit angry but at least you called me out on it. lol I do appreciate the more in-depth reply, though. I'll let someone else rate your song now. XD Oh and I've been playing drums for nearly 8 years which is how long I've been a member here! :]
19. Sorry it's so short and talky, I wasn't really sure what to write. lol Next one will be longer! "Class Dismissed!" Lamara-sensei exclaimed. The students all got up from their seats at once and quickly began murmuring about the nights examination as they left the room. Temaru sat as his desk while the majority of the students exited the class to avoid the pushing and shoving. His head rested on his hand, he fiddled with his pencil in his other hand and sighed. I hate transformation jutsu... he thought to himself. Meko, Temaru's black Ninja Cat, picked up on his concern and mewed softly from his scarf. The cloth was wrapped loosely around his neck at the back to create a hood for the cat to sleep in. Meko crawled onto Temaru's shoulder and swatted at the pencil in his hand. Temaru smiled softly and rubbed his little friends head. "What am I going to do, Meko? I suck at transformation jutsu..." Meko mewed in response and Temaru nodded. "You're right, I'm not as bad as some of the others. I'll just have to go home and practice..." And then a devious thought crosses Temaru's mind. Meko sensed it and growled softly. "Maybe I can pull a fast one on the examiners..." Temaru whispered to Meko. "I'll say I'm transforming into you... and then I'll just pull a quick Substitution Jutsu instead, substituting myself for the real you..." Meko mewed in disapproval and Temaru sighed. "I guess you're right. If they ask you to transform back I'm kind of screwed. Why can't you just learn substitution jutsu, Meko?!" Temaru went to pat his cat on the head, but Meko pulled back from his hand and fell backward into the scarf. Temaru laughed slightly and got up from his seat. "I guess I'll just have to transform into you succesfully, Meko!" Temaru exclaimed with new confidence, thrusting his arm into the air. Meko replied by jumping up from his hood with one paw in the air, mewing excitedly.
20. Everyone has one. A smiley you use nearly everyday in all sorts of situations. Wether that be in an online game, on the forums or in a text to your friends, you know the smiley I'm talking about. You use it all the time. I was talking to Lyndy and she uses :V quite a lot while I tend to use XD (or alternatively with a lowercase x) a bunch. Then I got to thinking, I bet everyone has that one go to smiley that they love to use and I'd like to know what all of yours are! As for XD I pretty much use it at the end of every other sentence. Anytime I say something I think might be awkward I throw on XD at the end. Or if I think I may offend someone with what I'm saying I'll tack on XD. I also use it in place of "lol" a lot, which is probably a good thing. I think I started using XD way back in 2005 when I was playing FF Online. This guy I met used to spam it to show how happy he was. Like if he found something extremely funny he would say something along the lines of "XDDDDDDDD" which I eventually started doing. I rarely do the extended mouth thing nowadays (instead I'll add the appropriate amount of o's to lol "looooooool") but it still got me started on XD. What about you guys? I know you all have a smilie you use all the time and if I aren't sure what it is then spark of a conversation with someone and it'll come out in the first few lines I guarantee. XD Just to throw out some guesses (and these people will have to confirm whether or not I'm right, and if I am explain why you use it) but I believe Boo uses :( a lot, while Dragon Warrior is more of a :o person. I know Kitty used to use :3 aaall the time and I'm pretty sure Anomaly is more of a =) person. My brother uses 8o) all the time which is too big for my liking but it's unique. xD That being said, as a side question, what REGULAR smile face to you all prefer? Between :) =) =] :] :3 =3 8) and any others you can think of, which do you use? I'm more of a :] person as I like how compact it is and the square smile cracks me up, hehe.
21.
3/10 The song starts out slow with an awful guitar arrangement in my opinion. The chords have a very repetitive pattern and I don't even like the sound. This same patern is barely changed up at all during the chorus and throught the different parts of the song they play it again in a different distortion and volume. The lead singer is very hard to understand, but from what I got was this is a song about a train crash, and he relates it somehow to love. The only reason why I could even get that much was because he says the same thing over and over again. though the lyrics may be poetic... it seems like bad poetry to me. Really the only thing I liked in the song was the solo, which was pretty cool, but that was about twenty seconds of enjoyment out of six minutes of disappointment. (plus there is no video) CaNz the music snob has spoken!!
Ouch. O_O I'll admit that the bass solo is my favorite part of the song, but I always enjoy when the drums come crashing in which I'm surprised you didn't mention. That being said the singer is easier to understand than some of the videos that you've posted so I don't really understand your issue there and it's no more repetitive than that Awake song you posted... But to each his own I guess. I'm also curious now, CaNz, do you play any instruments (if so, which ones and for how long) or do you just listen to music a lot? Just curious. I'm also greatly let down by the fact that people keep mentioning the videos in their critique. It's rate the SONG above you not rate the MUSIC VIDEO above you. Aaanyway... As a huge Metric fanboy, I'm disappointed with your selection. Their newer stuff isn't nearly as good as their older music and Fantasies was such a let down for me. Gimme Sympathy was alright the first time I heard it, and while it may not be fair for someone who's heard the song a whole lot to rate it I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. My biggest gripe with this song is how freaking repetitive the chorus is. I think you hear Gimme Sympathy like 10 times in 1 chorus and then you hear "Like here comes the sun" a shitton more. It's actually irritating because Metric never used to be like this. That being said I dig the lyrics. And the drum beat, while fairly mundane, matches the tone of the song quite well. Truly though, the main issue I have with this song has more to do with the fact that it's such an average rock song. Nothing really makes it special or stand out to me and there are better Metric songs that break this formula. 6/10 So I was going to post Hustle Rose by Metric in reply but I think I've taken enough shots at you CaNz and I feel like you'd reply with why Gimme Sympathy is better. :P So here's a totally random song! You really have to like J-Pop and Metal to truly appreciate this song, I'll understand if the next person isn't as crazy about it as I am but I think it's badass.
22. I got your message but you were offline by the time I saw it and now I forget your AIM name cause the message is gone and I can't find out how to add youuuu

23. 6/10, I liked it but felt it was a bit too long. The instruments were very melodic and enjoyable but it got a bit repetitive by the end. Also I sort of hate how the Pearl Jam guy sings so that took away a lot for me. A better singer might bring this up to 7 or 8 for me but I can't get into it with that raspy whining of a voice. Sorry, Pearl Jam fans. :( As for the The Who's version (the original) I liked it a lot more. I haven't heard this song before but I have heard a lot of The Who's stuff and I love their drummer. His fills and the superior vocals make their version twice as good. 8/10 Porcupine Tree - "Trains" Enjoy! :3 Remember to listen to the whole song before commenting. ^_^
