Recently I've been going back and listening to a lot of old theme songs/soundtracks of old TV shows I watched as a kid, and I've been rather surprised by some of the quality of the songs. So I've made this thread for everyone to post their favourite TV show songs from when they were a kid! Any theme songs from a children's show (or teen, I suppose) or songs from a soundtrack based on a children's show is fair game. To get the ball rolling heres a few of my favourites! First, I'll start with the classic just so nobody else has to post it... Anyone of pretty much any age can enjoy this song. It's got a good rock beat, a nice drum intro, catchy singing... it's an all around great theme song and it's no wonder nearly every gamer/anime fan in the world can sing it in its entirety. I mean just look at some of the other Pokemon intros... If you look at other Disney shows from the 80s and 90s a lot of them had awesome theme songs (Gummie bears, Ch-ch-ch-Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, etc). They really knew how to make a catchy tune for the kids and parents accompanying them to like. [color="#696969"][font="Tahoma"]I really enjoyed this chapter (526). Learning a lot more about Black Zetsu was awesome as it's something I've been waiting to see for a while. Also I'm glad to see some of these fights are happening at the same time, keeps it interesting. I look forward to seeing Chiyo versus Kankurou, hehe. Especially if Kankurou somehow breaks out the Mother and Father puppets. The Black Lightning Technique was also very cool, looking forward to seeing this whole arc in the anime! And lol at Page 9. Omg Tenten did something useful! I bet that's the last we see of her until the war is over. [/font][/color]

I love it when it picks up at 2:02 but the rest of the song just feels like one huge build-up to a letdown of an ending. The vibe of the song has this "end of the show" feel for sure, which the music video contributes to, but I wasn't a fan. Kind of repetitive. Also, as a drummer, 3:50-4:00 hurt my heart, that's got to be one of the worst drum fills I've ever heard in a decent song. All in all I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll listen to it again anytime soon. Even so it is nice to hear bands I've never heard before! Now to have one of my songs ripped apart by you guys. The hip-hop beat combined with the sax and banjo is such an unexpected combonation of instruments but they really work well together. The fairly monotone [strike]rapping[/strike] [strike]singing[/strike] vocals overtop blend really well with the feel good beat backing them. Very catchy, I liked it a lot. They've been around since [size="4"]1967[/size][i]!![/i] They're best described as... space rock...[size="1"] or stoner rock (don't shoot meh).[/size] These guys have some amazing music too, truly an unappreciated band. I've got two totally different kinds of songs by them, one old and one new. First is "How to Stay Alive" from their most recent album "2032." [font="Tahoma"][color="#696969"][b]Name:[/b] Hiyazuka Temaru [b]Physical Description:[/b] Temaru is slightly taller than average for his age, and is a bit on the skinny side with pale white skin (think Shino's skin, not Orochimaru or Sai). He wears a green cap overtop his long unkempt black hair with a tan coloured scarf that hangs off his back as a sort of cape. The scarf doubles as a hoodie and his black Ninja Cat, Meko, often sleeps there. He wears the standard dark blue jumpsuit underneath his own green military vest (which he'll swap for the Chuunin one) and has dark brown gloves that he'll eventually berid of. Both Meko and Temaru have their own headbands that they wear loosely around their necks. He prefers to aid his comrades from a distance rather than run in fighting himself. While his Taijutsu is very strong and his ninjutsu relies heavily on collaboration with his Ninja Cat, Meko, Temaru prefers not to fight up close and instead aids his comrades from a distance. He also has the uncanny ability to dodge most attacks no matter the type with his nearly perfected Body Flicker and Body Replacement Techniques (Kawarmi no Jutsu and Shunshin no Jutsu respectively) making him an excellent scout. It's rumored among the Chuunin and higher-ups that he's next in line to learn the Space-Time Technique "Jikukan Ninjutsu" but as it's an S-Rank Ability, Temaru doesn't even know of its existence yet. Temaru's affiliation is with Earth however he only knows one technique at the moment. He uses the Earth Style Quick Growth Technique on his cat Meko (causing Meko to grow from the size of Little Akamaru to twice that of Shippuuden Akamaru) to make him a more viable combat partner and quicker mode of transportation. Temaru carries numerous kunai and explosive tags for back-up situations, as well as an abundance of smoke bombs that he uses regularly in and out of combat. [b]Bio:[/b] The Hidden Village of the Leaf used to be a haven for Dog and Cat Shinobi alike. Ninja Cats and Ninja Dogs had always had issues working with each other but two clans of Konoha managed to get them to set aside their differences for the greater good. This was the Inuzuka Clan, who earned the eternal respect of the Ninja Dogs, and the Hiyazuka Clan who partnered with the Ninja Cats. That was, however, until the attack of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Most of the Hiyazuka Clan was wiped out in the fight in a turn of unfortunate events and the Ninja Cats who survived blamed the Inuzuka Clan and their Ninja Dogs for the attack as, after all, the Demon Fox was a giant dog. Shortly after the attack, what remained of the Hiyazuka clan left Konoha for good placing their loyalty with the Ninja Cats over Konoha. However one member of the Hiyazuka clan remained in Konoha. This was Temaru's mother, Jenmari, who had fallen in love with a member of the Inuzuka clan shortly before the attack. She was accepted whole-heartedly into the Inuzuka clan but was forced to keep her maiden name. When Temaru was born years later, it was discovered he had inherited his mothers past when at the Age of 10 he summoned the Ninja Cat Meko in an attempt to summon a Ninja Dog for himself. The entire Inuzuka clan watched in disbelief as Temaru quickly befriended the Ninja Cat and it was at this point that Temaru was forced to change his clan name from Inuzuka to Hiyazuka, something he was proud to do. Temaru strives to achieve a future where the Inuzuka Clan and Hiyazuka Clan live in harmony in Konoha once again. [/color][/font]
