?Did you hear?? a teenage girl asked her friend, stirring some cream into a cup of coffee she held tightly in her hands. The two of them sat by one of the windows of the Pokémon Center, waiting for some others to come and join them before the group set off into the cold morning. ?Hear what?? the friend asked, fiddling with his long bangs. ?That girl is coming through town today,? she responded simply before taking a sip of her warm drink. Her friend raised an eyebrow, clearly confused. ?What girl? There are probably lots of girls coming through town today. Unless she?s headed towards Pallet, then that might be unusual?? the boy reasoned with himself. It was common practice of the Pallet Town and Viridian City natives to mention how uncommon travelers were going to Pallet. The exception, of course, is during the particular time when the most new trainers of the Kanto region pour through the doors of Professor Oak?s laboratory than he will see in the following months combined. ?You know who I?m talking about. That girl. The one calling herself something weird, like ?Turbine? or something, instead of going by her real name. She?s the one from Lavender Town that?? Oh my God, look! I think that's her!? the girl cried in a surprised whisper, pointing out the foggy window. The boy whipped his head around in a hurry, excited to see the visitor, and was startled to see a young girl wearing only tight summer clothing, despite the temperature outside. She was wearing a scarf, but the two wondered why bother with a scarf if she wasn?t going to put on any other warm clothes. As the girl walked by, her eyes passed over the two teens in the Pokémon Center as they watched her curiously. The look in her eyes was their confirmation, and it sent shivers down their spines as they looked away uneasily. She continued walking past, unfazed by their reactions. ?Why the hell am I doing this?? she mumbled to herself. She was soon out of Viridian City and walking through the tall grass of Route 2 towards Pallet Town. She found it humorous that wild pokémon always seemed more attracted towards her than most people she encountered. Several Pidgey and Rattata followed at her heels until she shooed them away. ?What weird things,? she thought to herself about her followers. She never did have a close connection with pokémon before, and her desire for one had lessened even further recently. She was baffled as to why she even bothered traveling all this way just to see Professor Oak. She told herself she did it because she was bored, but something else made her decide to come. The buildings of Pallet Town came into view, and soon she reached the pathway into town. ?I hope this wasn?t a waste of time,? she sighed, fiddling with her scarf as she took a few more steps before she paused one more time to stop one of the Pidgey from coming with her.

Name 'Turbine' is her only known name, but she has confirmed it to be only an alias. Age 16 Physical Description Turbine looks and mysteriously dresses like this, despite her much darker personality. (In place of the wings, she carries a small, blue backpack instead.) Personality Turbine, despite not having done much at all as of yet, has grown to become a small celebrity in the western part of Kanto, particularly around Lavender Town. Her existance has reached urban legend-status, despite the fact that she is only a teenager and hasn't even met the spreaders of the rumors about her. The story is a particularly cruel and gory one, but she is uncharacteristically eager to share the tale with those who ask her about it. However, whether or not this story is based on truth is very doubtful. Nevertheless, she is an extremely distrusting person, so much so that she never gave out her real name, even though her alias has become her real name in a sense. She has a very dark sense of humor, and is merciless in everyway to the full extent of the word. A highly sceptic, cynical personality, Turbine is also known to be constantly sarcastic and pessimistic. In addition, she tends not to sleep much, and will travel farther, in fact, at night than she does during the day. Despite her apparent 'fear' of the element of darkness, she forces herself to embrace it. No one knows the cause of her character and behavior, but with her obscure fame comes speculation and rumors. Pokemon A baby Murkrow named 'Fusha', but referred to mainly as 'Fu'.
I was thinking about coming out of hibernation, and what better way than to sign up for a pokemon RP? lol. Oh, and wewt for me and making a freaky, mysterious, dark-natured character for a frickin' PKMN RP![/sarcasm] >>;;
Vienna stumbled over the curb, grabbing onto a street sign to keep herself from falling over. She grumbled about her accident-prone feet before continuing on down the sidewalk. She was out on a walk, having grown tired of the confining environment that was her Aunt Betty's house. The surrounding houses and trees were repetitive and boring, so her mind began to wander. Soon she was thinking about why she had let herself be coerced into visiting the woman she so openly disliked. She blamed her parents' laziness and left it at that. Coming to a halt, she looked up from her feet, which she had been staring at while she thought. Her blank expression was replaced by a frustrated frown. "Where am I now?" she asked no one in particular. She had left the house to avoid the awkward conversations she was bound to share with her Aunt Betty, but also to get some fresh air. She had been indoors for so long, it seemed, that she was starting to hear things. Not that other strange things hadn't been happening lately, but the message she heard somehow made her feel uneasy. Looking around, she noticed a bench and a sign on the other side of the road, and crossed the street warily towards them. Reading over the sign, it read 'Matchell Park'. She blinked, read it again, and thought aloud to herself. "I think I'm going insane." Vienna read it once more, as a way to assure herself that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her, though when she thought about it, it didn't seem like a logical way to prove that what she was reading was actually on the sign. Feeling that she was thinking too much about it, she shook it off and concentrated on the bench. She noticed that it was wet, from sprinklers she figured, and kneeled down to wait for some of the droplets to move. When a few did, though they moved slowly, she focused on them for a while until they rose off the bench and came towards her. Holding out her hand, she watched them float around her fingers, join together into a larger droplet, and take the shape of a cat, dog, umbrella and light bulb as she willed it to, until she was startled by the sound of a bus driving past her. She lost her balance and fell backwards onto her back, breaking her concentration. The droplet fell onto her face, and she wiped it off with a look of disbelief. "I'm not imagining it anymore, am I?" Glancing around, she saw no sign of the bus that had startled her, but she spotted a small gathering of people down the sidewalk. Standing up quickly, she wondered if any of them had seen her. None moved towards or looked at her, so she figured they hadn't. She blinked for a moment, thinking she'd heard the voice again. "Elements? Could they--? No, they wouldn't. A voice in your head has nothing to do with them, Vie. You need to walk some more," Vienna muttered to herself. She walked past the bench and down one of the paths deeper into the park. She had no idea what she was looking for, but she hoped it wouldn't involve talking to anyone. She was never one to easily meet new people, and it would be even harder while she was doubting her sanity.

Name - Valaina Ancalimë [pronounced 'vah-la-ee-na ah-n-cal-im-ee'], but casually referred to as Vala Age - 176 Appearance - Vala [art (c) lglsdragon@devART] Race - High Elf Alignment - Neutral Evil Profession - Summoner Unknown - Vala uses a large axe, dubbed simply Telrúnya, the Vessel. It is pure mithril, making it extremely powerful and valuable. While mithril is known for being a good conductor for lightning and electricity, she utilizes its magical capabilities to enhance her ice-oriented spells. She has often encountered selfish merchants and smiths that try and trick her out of it, figuring that a young, female elf would have no idea of its power when they see her summon it. However, they often end up painfully hanging from a random roof by only their underwear. Aeon - Alatariel [art (c) rleeny@devART] is a being that commands the winter to his will, a power Vala respects him for. The two met the winter before Vala became one of Ogram's apprentices. Alatariel, not a very compassionate creature, stumbled upon her while searching for something to eat. She was curled up in a cloak that seemed much too large for her, and when he asked her why he shouldn't devour her whole, she struggled to hold up her hand to summon Telrúnya before telling him, "Because I won't let you without a fight." Finding her resilience admirable, instead of eating her, he sat beside her and covered her with his feathery wing to warm her up. Since then, Alatariel has been very protective of Vala, though she rarely openly shows her compassion for him in return. Despite this, the two share an unspoken bond and mutual respect with one another that no other person or creature could match. Deity - Vala, being a High Elf, believes in Analalrae. However, her faith often wears thin, and she is not as devout to the Goddess of Life as the rest of her brethren. Her wavering faith in Analalrae was often cited as the cause of her poor behavior while she still resided in Silverymoon. Background - "Valaina Ancalimë, daughter of High Priest Rúmil Ancalimë, are hereby expatriated from the Elven city, Silverymoon. Once escorted past the city's limits, you will not be allowed to return without punishment. Your sanction will vary depending on what you do should you foolishly decide to come back. Analalrae forgive you, child." With that, the young elf was dismissed, and as she left the Queen's presence, Valaina felt the burning stares of onlookers. She had been banished, and it had been witnessed by everyone. But she kept a twisted grin on her face, swearing she'd never come back to Silverymoon until she was ready to kill the selfish ones that did this to her. After all, nothing she had done, out of all her mischief, was worthy of banishment. But a small group of who she had thought were friends had blown her actions out of proportion and reported them to Her Majesty. Why they would purposefully do such a thing was beyond her, and the mix of confusion, fear, and hatred she felt developed into the terrible bitterness of her character. Valaina, only fifty at the time, was still a young child in elven years. She left with only the cape she had inherited from her late brother, and Telrúnya, the sword she had summoned only five years after her birth. When she was very little, only ten or eleven, her mother disappeared without a trace. Valaina's family was one of riches, power and fame, and the disappearance of such a figure caught the attention of the city. However, all investigations and efforts in finding the elven woman were unsuccessful. Her older brother, whom she had looked up to, found no solace after their mother vanished. He left, not telling his sister why, leaving her with only his favorite cape to console her. Valaina was then raised by a broken father and her maids, unaware of how her brother was doing until he was found dead around her thirteenth birthday. After that, she grew up resentful, haughty and self-righteous, developing a passion for manipulating those around her to get what she wanted from them. Those she considered friends had to be from the upper class, and even then, she felt she was above them. She knew no other summoners her age, giving her a feeling of superiority that made her 'friends' jealous of and annoyed with her. She was well known through Silverymoon for being a manipulative prankster by the age of thirty, and even better known for not getting in trouble. But when she unknowingly played her particular kind of 'game' on a rather powerful elf's daughter, those who wanted her to get her dues finally seized their chance. Once she was forced to leave the city, she roamed the land looking for somebody to train her. She knew she was a summoner, but that was about it. She changed masters hundreds of times over the hundred years before she met Alatariel and Ogarn. She has now been Ogarn's apprentice for almost thirty years now, and has grown resentful of his other apprentices for gaining more of his favor even though she has been with him the longest. --- edit :: Sorry this took so long to get up. o3o;; *hides from Doublehex*

Name: Vienna 'Vie' Rho [ pronounced: vee-en-ah 'vee' row ] Age: 14 Gender: Female Appearance: Vie Element: Water Starting Ability: Vie can manipulate water in small amounts, but only if it is already moving, like small streams, water from a faucet, and light rain. It does nothing, other than keep her dry in the rain and give her something to do. Why?: Vie is, at first glance, a lucid but introverted and detached person. She finds more company in the rain than from another person. It's not that she dislikes other people, but she finds it difficult to converse with them without embarrassing herself, so she much prefers to keep to herself. Vie is also a clumsy girl because she is usually not paying attention and will often walk into things and even other people. --- Finally getting this up, even though it's almost one in the morning, lawlz. >< BTW, you suck BK. :P

"You need somethin'?" Alex asked, eyeing her hungrily. Eva was used to, and secretly fond of, the looks she received from him and other men like him, despite her knowledge that they were merely lustful pricks with pretty faces. But she was not there to take the place of the unconscious woman she had just pulled off of him and dropped on the floor. She had plans with Elliot, not Alex, she reminded herself quietly. "No. Just came by to check up on you. You seemed mopey today," she said slowly, tracing small circles on his chest. He grabbed her hand to make her stop and she frowned. The look on his face was his answer. He always seemed mopey, she decided in thought. "Fine, fine. But I swear, I only came by to make sure you hadn't died of alcohol poisoning or something. Anyway, I'm out of here." She stood up to leave and walked to the door before pausing and looking back at the practically motionless girl and sighed. But the thoughts slowly surfacing in her mind were quickly shoved away with a shake of her head. She made a few more comments about his habits before leaving, not bothering to hear the drunken man's reply. She walked to her car and swerved out of the parking lot, caring little about the others out driving on the streets. She stopped at her house and changed, taking quite a while to decide on what to wear. She finally chose to wear something plenty revealing, but that covered enough of her up to leave any man drooling and begging for more. She confidently flipped her hair over her shoulder as she walked away from her mirror and out the door. Eva drove back to HQ and just as she got out of her car, she saw Elliot walking through the door. She giggled quietly to herself, pleased with the look she received. Elliot was a good man, and she knew him longer than she knew anyone else at Sinister Nation. While she viewed her co-workers as siblings of sorts, being the 'adopted children' of the late Nicholas Fargo, she had always been attracted to Elliot, and she was starting to realize he had known this all along. "You're right on time, I just got back and was about to walk in," she smiled, throwing her keys towards him. He caught them and replied, grinning as he walked up to her. "Standing out her by yourself wearing something like that, huh?" "Ha, because I'm such easy prey," she said sarcastically, her confidence in her brawling ability flashing through her mind. The two got in the car and drove off, though Eva started complaining about Elliot's more controlled driving soon after they left the parking garage. "And what's wrong with not running everyone else off the road?" Elliot asked, raising an eyebrow. Eva paused for a moment to think before huffing at him and pretending to turn her attention out the window. Her acting fooled him, and out of the corner of her eye she saw his mouth open and close as he turned towards her to say something, but returned to the wheel shortly after. He didn't want the evening to be spoiled so soon. Eva, seeing his efforts as cute, turned from the window and fell onto his lap, startling him so much he had to make several drastic swerves of the steering wheel before they were back on the right side of the road again. "What was that for?" he asked, though she did not answer him as she began feeling up his thigh, smiling up at him. He was hesitant until finally telling her they were almost to the club, and he needed to concentrate on the road. She fake pouted again, but figured he was right and pulled herself out of his lap. Bored, she began staring out the window. She had noticed, since Fargo's death, Elliot had changed the most. It was subtle things, as only a few of the remaining members noticed them, but aside from SN's founder, Elliot was the one Eva had known the longest. "Do you remember the very first thing you told me?" Eva asked suddenly, catching Elliot by surprise. He was silent for a minute before chuckling quietly, though his embarrassment flashed across his face for a moment. "Of course I do? But I-I'm sorry, Eva. Really, I didn't mean to insult you like tha-" he began, but he was cut off by her giggling. The two of them hadn't talked about the day they met much at all. After she was brought back to HQ, Elliot was charged with showing her around, and he tried to start a conversation, but he . She had at first taken offense to it, and refused to speak to him for the next week. As a result, of course, she got lost several times as she explored the building, but she was too proud to ask anyone for directions. "You said? 'You don't seem like the kind of girl that ends up in a whore house'," she continued absent-mindedly, her eyes still not focused. Elliot blushed a bit while she spoke, and stumbled over what to say next. She blinked a few times before turning to face him and she smiled. "You really don't know how to talk to girls," she teased. He let out a sigh, shaking his head as he laughed. "No, I guess I don't," he rolled his eyes jokingly. The two arrived at the club minutes later, and spent the first hour or so chatting at the bar. It took her a while, but Eva eventually managed to convince Elliot to join her on the dance floor. Grabbing his hands, she dragged him from his seat and pulled him behind her. But before the two even began dancing, a gunshot was heard, followed by the screams of others. While most people headed for the exits, the two SN members went towards the danger. Eva impatiently blew her bangs out of her face, angry that their dancing had been interrupted. "Hey buddy, leaving so soon?" Eva shouted, her annoyance accenting her tone. A man stood hunched over, the hand holding his gun shaking from the adrenaline and shock from what he had just done. She glanced over at the bar to see the bartender dead, and she frowned. He often gave her free drinks, and any one that gave Eva free liquor was okay in her book. She walked over towards the man, calmly telling him to put down the gun. But as she got within his reach, he grabbed her suddenly, catching her off-guard, and pulled her against him, holding his gun at her temple. Elliot had, by now, pulled out his gun and was pointing it at the man. "I'm leaving, and I don't want anyone to follow me. If you take one step, pal, your girlfriend here will be just another stain on the wall. Got it?" the man asked. He tried to sound menacing, but his nervousness was still obvious. "Fine, just let her go." "Not until I'm out that door and in my car, bub," he spat. Eva rolled her eyes at the drunken man's ignorance. Elliot sighed and took a step forward, dropping his gun off to the side to look like an accident and rushing towards it. The man, eyes focused on Elliot, was distracted long enough for Eva to twist her way out of his grip and disarm him before she started beating him. Elliot laughed as he watched, and pulled her away just before she could crush his face with one of the stools she had grabbed. Gun in hand, he pointed it at the guy's head as Eva pulled him up by the collar. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now for being a nuisance," Elliot barked. "I work for the Murdocks!" the man cried out in fright, hoping it would intimidate the two of them enough to leave him be. When he saw they weren't as impressed as he had hoped they would be, he continued. "If you kill me, they'll hunt you down for sure! You sure you wanna risk that? You wouldn't last a day with them after you." "You idiot," Eva growled, pulling him up to her face. She stared at him intensely, making him flinch every time she blinked. Finally, she threw him back against the bar, spitting at him. "I'll give you a head start," she grinned, cracking her knuckles. The man struggled to find his balance before running as fast as he could towards the exit. The nightclub was now empty, with the exception of Eva, Elliot and the dead bartender. Eva ran her fingers through her hair with a bored look before jumping over the counter and rummaging through the drinks. Elliot raised an eyebrow and asked her what she was doing, though he knew the answer. "Free booze, babe," she said, grinning wide as she found several bottles of bourbon and vodka. She proceeded to guzzle one down, placing the others on the counter for later. Elliot sighed, looking around and wondering who would be cleaning up the place. As his eyes scanned the floor, he spotted a small piece of paper where the man had been thrown moments ago. He picked it up and read it as Eva climbed back over the counter, now working on her third bottle. "Whazzat?" she asked, her words already slurring.

"Hey Morgan, hurry it up." "I'll be out in a sec," Switch called back, standing in front of his locker. He finished pulling on his gloves, which matched his new uniform quite well. He ran a hand through his brown hair as he let out a sigh, closing his locker door for the last time. His mind was clouded and stressed, even though he was graduating today. He had been visited again by the black panther in his dreams, and even though he had gotten used to it by now, it had been particularly persistent last night. It asked for a name, and when he told it that he didn't name imaginary things, he woke up with faint claw marks on his right shoulder. "I must be losing my mind," he joked quietly, grabbing his things and leaving the locker room, though he scratched at his right shoulder as he walked out the door. --- Switch grinned, something he rarely does, when the announcer's toupee finally fell off. The others had been betting, but he had chosen to stay out of it. When Clyne came off the stage, he heard his name called next and walked into the spotlight. "Next, we have Lieutenant Switch Morgan. He has excelled at stealth and night combat, using his mastery of high class fire power and close combat techniques to decimate the opposition, whether he uses the light-weight models or the heavy-weight behemoths designed for ground combat. He has also shown himself to be quite versatile, taking advantage of any and all terrain a ground unit could find himself fighting on. Being one of the top cadets, we are confident you will be able to perform even better in actual battle than in our simulators. Do you accept the invitation to join ANGEL Wire, Lieutenant Morgan?" "Yes sir, I do," he nodded firmly, saluting the man. He received a salute in return and the two shook hands briefly before he left the stage, walking back to his seat beside Chase. "He seems to think highly of you," Chase snorted. Switch rolled his eyes before giving Chase a swift, but playful, punch in the arm to shut him up as he sat down. "Jeez, take it easy? I gotta go up there, too. Don?t want my new uniform to be wrinkled, do ya?" Chase stuck out his tongue as he teased his friend, and Switch couldn't help but flash a quick smile. His friend grinned and nudged him with his elbow. "Chill, kid," Switch whispered, a small smile still on his face. He had entered the military later than the rest of his classmates, as he was at least two years older than most of them, and even those his age had been there longer than him. Despite being new, he was always treated as being older, and he liked to tease his friends with it. Chase gave him a look, daring Switch to call him a 'kid' again. But Switch took the hint and kept quiet, listening as the next person was called up on stage.
ooc :: Hope it was alright to talk to Chase, Tempest. PM me if anything needs changing.

Xinikk was occupying herself in her room when the Dusks came by with the message. She did not pause her smashing of random objects, which she had collected while visiting some of the other worlds, even when the Dusks announced that they had a message for her. "His Majesty requests the Order attend a meeting in the Chamber." "Why didn't you tell me the message was from him? You're dismissed," she added with an annoyed wave of her hand. The axe she had been using previously dissipated from her hand as she carefully stepped over the shattered and broken pieces of boxes and tables and other furniture. She was asked once why she took such useless things if only to smash them, to which she replied that it was the only thing that entertained her back at the Castle. There really isn't anything to do here, anyway, she thought to herself before she closed the door to her room and the mess inside of it. It only took a few steps down the hallway for two Dragoons, the nobodies she had power over, to appear beside her, acting as escorts. She was always curious as to why they followed her so much, but she wasn?t bothered by it. Xinikk took a shorter, but rarely used route through the Castle that Never Was to the large meeting hall, dubbed the Chamber of Dying Echoes. She always walked the same hallways when she was called to a meeting because she hated running into the others. She didn't hate them all, but the chances of running into Marax were what kept her obstinately opposed to walking the rest of the corridors most of the time. Through the large doors, she was happy to see that she was the first of the summoned members to arrive. Onix nodded as she entered, and she bowed discreetly before the doors shut behind her of their own accord. She found her seat at the large table, four seats down from the Number I. One of the Dragoons that had been accompanying her pulled out her chair for her and she grinned at it before sitting down. Sure are simple things, but they aren't half bad to have around. Xinikk sighed as she slumped in her chair, anxious about the others arriving. She always ended up arguing with Marax each time everyone was gathered together in the Chamber, and she wondered what today's shouting match would be about.
ooc :: Hope this was okay. I'm excited about this starting, and I think my team mates are all awesome. x3

Name: Eva Ijizaru Nickname: Sheath Age: 21 Appearance: Eva Weapon: Eva carries around a pair of twelve inch daggers, each with a sheath made of a light metal alloy which she has earned her nickname for, and an array of small throwing knives and needles. She is also known for beating people up with her bare hands and blunt objects when she can?t or won?t use her sharper weapons. Years as a Sinister Nation member: 5 Specialty: Retrievals // Assassinations Personality: Eva is interested in three things: money, fights, and men. She knows she can get them easily, and flaunts it with little to no discretion at all. She often gets drunk while off duty (and occasionally while still on duty), and proceeds to beat people up for saying anything she doesn?t appreciate. She likes to think of herself as a chivalrous knight with a ?naughty streak?, as she once, so eloquently, put it. But anyone that knows her well understands that she does, in fact, have a soft spot for the defenseless, and will help out those who ask her (when not drunk). Background: Eva was born into a relatively happy home, her parents earning average salaries; enough to buy them a large apartment and feed four mouths. Eva's older brother, Raz, was five years her senior, and always seemed to be in some kind of trouble. One day, he came home and shot both of their parents to death, then left without another word. Eva was only six years old at the time, and did not know what to do with two bloody, rotting corpses, so she simply left the apartment. To this day, she has not seen hide nor hair of her brother, which is probably a good thing. It is also because of this incident that she refuses to touch a gun, though she has no objections to the use of them by others. Being six years old and out and about in the city was not an easy life, but Eva was lucky, and did not have to live it long. Only two or three weeks after her leaving home, she was 'living' behind a dumpster, eating whatever food she could find, when a young woman spotted her and immediately brought her home with her. Her name was Onia, and she happened to be working in a modern day brothel, and she and her 'co-workers' raised Eva like a younger sister, though they kept her away from their actual place of work. While Onia left the apartment, Eva explored the complex, and ran into a group of five boys that were very rowdy. With them, she often got into shouting matches, which sometimes escalated into fist fights. She lost at first, but eventually, she got practiced enough to take all of them down. When she finally did, she seemed to have earned their respect, and the six of them fought with each other for fun continuously after that. It was her relationship with those boys that made her love fighting so much. It wasn't until she turned fourteen that she actually followed her 'sister' to work, though Onia was unaware. While exploring the building, Eva ran into the owner of the brothel who saw potential in the young girl soon after scolding her for being clumsy. So, she was enlisted into the ranks of women who sold themselves as a living, though as only an 'apprentice' (essentially a chore girl that observed what went on while cleaning) until she turned eighteen. Though her stay there only lasted two short years, she learned some more things that shaped her character into what it is today. She discovered that money was everything, and that men were extremely fun to tease. Soon after her sixteenth birthday, a group of men came to the brothel and robbed the place after garnering entrance under false pretenses that they were there as customers. They took with them all the money in the building and the youngest girl there: Eva. She managed to kill three of them all on her own, but she could not take on all twelve of them, and was soon overpowered. But shortly after running away from the scene, the large men were stopped in their tracks by an older man that stood in their way, with two younger men behind him. His name was Nicholas Fargo, and he had heard the commotion while meeting with his companions, so he came to scope it out. He asked, kindly at first, if they would let the girl go and return what they had stolen, but the men refused to listen. Instead, he waved a hand and the other two killed the group of eight or nine almost instantly. "Young lady, what is your name?" he asked, hand outstretched. "... E-Eva. Eva Ijizaru," she stuttered. She took his hand and he helped her off the ground. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Nicholas Fargo. Well, Eva, would you like to go back to your home now?" Eva paused, thinking about it a moment. She had no desire to follow in Onia's footsteps, even though she felt indebted to her for raising her. Instead, she asked him if he would return all the money to Onia, instead of the brothel, so she could buy her way out of the job and get a bigger house somewhere nicer. He said he would, but only if she did something for him in return. "What do you want me to do?" she asked, though the only thing that was on her mind was what the men requested back at the brothel. "I heard what you managed to accomplish before we arrived. I'd like you to come and work for me." "I won't have to go back to Lady Nala if I do, right?" she asked eagerly. The thought of leaving her strict taskmaster behind was extremely intriguing to her. Nicholas laughed and assured her that she would never have to see this 'Lady Nala' again as her subordinate. "Then I'll do it!" Five years later, Eva is still the violent, money-obsessed tease she had become when she was a teenager, except now she has added alcohol to the mix as well. Her co-workers either find her antics amusing and attractive, or pitiful and annoying, with no inbetween. Despite this, she enjoys being around all of her fellow SN members, as she has always been quick to adopt others as siblings, and she believes they are all Nicholas' 'children' in a way. But since his death, the feelings she felt when her birth parents were killed have returned, and she is drinking more and more to get them out of her head. She swears to hunt down and brutally slaughter both of the killers, no matter what it takes. ooc :: I still need to think of a background, so I?ll edit it in later. Glad you finally got this thing up. ^o^ edit :: Background's up. :3 And no, Eva was not a prostitute. She almost was, but she was taken away before her eighteenth birthday. (Even Lady Nala had a little sense of decency. o3o) Just thought I'd make that clear. >.

Art [OBWT] Round 2: Boo & Sara VS sakurasuka & jigglyness
Kitty replied to Ellerby's topic in Creative Works
Boo: There isn't much to this piece to begin with, so there isn't much to critique. =\ The effect you added to butterfly was okay, but leaving the rest of the background black does not look good; especially with such a colorful image as your subject. I really don't understand what the text is about, other than the word 'freedom', and the barcode seems rather pointless, too. Overall, I don't care for this at all. =3= Not one of your better works, Boo. D: Sara: This image is colorful and bright, but it is again, kind of bland. The text is fine, and so is the background (the fading is a nice touch), but there is very little to this image. The only suggestion I think would be useful is to have kept the butterfly at it's original size, keeping it in the upper right corner, and have it partly behind the text. This was a very well done piece, but not too interesting. sakurasuka: I think I get the reference
(Samurai Champloo, right?)
, which is an interesting, but confusing, connection to a butterfly. Despite that, your vectoring (you vectored, right? I can't do it for the life of me, so I have no idea what programs it takes and what the results look like, so forgive me if I'm wrong =3=;; ) is done well, and I like the addition of flowers and other butterflies. But the image is very pink. And that's it. Maybe if the background had a pattern to it, rather than just a flat color, it would look more interesting. jigglyness: Yours is truly impressive. I'm jealous of this one, right now, and wishing I had made it instead. :P The fonts are used well together (I love how you fit the word 'breaths' so well with the smaller parts of the quote, lol. It was a really nice effect), and the quote is very endearing, too. I like how the butterfly in your piece, as opposed to the others, is darker than the background, rather than the other way around. And speaking of background, yours is actually fun to look at. It's not a flat color, or a simple gradient, but patterns mixed together, and mixed together well to boot. Gah... I'm so jealous. xD In the end, jigglyness gets my vote, hands down. The other pieces, while done well, were just too simple and somewhat repetative, even with the freedom theme removed from two of the entries. Good luck to you all, though. And I hope to steal-- er, see more from jigglyness, even outside of the OBWT. -
Art [OBWT] Round 2: Ezekiel & Katana VS Keyblade Wielder
Kitty replied to Ellerby's topic in Creative Works
Ezekiel: Your piece is filled with vibrant color and a good 'theme', I guess you could call it, to match the picture you were given, and I couldn't luff it more. The image and text is placed perfectly, and the font you used blends with the rest of the image extremely well. Like the others have said, the border effect you added is a nice touch, too. The thing that bothers me, though, is the 'fire' made of lines and splatter brushes (I could be wrong here, but by the way it looks, I'm assuming you used your own brushes of splatters to get that effect rather than blend an ink splatter picture with the rest of the piece). It would look too empty without the lines, but with them it looks too messy. The balance is off, but not by too much. I'm just really picky, so ignore my little criticism. xD;; But the main thing is that the background, text, picture, border and even the 'flame' flow together and make the whole image interesting, despite the fact that the only thing in the background is color. Katana: Your entry is also lovely. The flame you used is amazing because it really pops out at you when you look at it, and I love the effects you added, too. The background is nice especially with the stars, making it seem more 'full', and it makes sense that the picture you were given was blended in with it. But there are two things I don't like about your piece. First is that the border doesn't flow with the rest of the image, and second is that the hand and gun don't blend into the background at all. It looks like they were just pasted on top of the rest of the image (technically they were, but it shouldn't look so much like it). Maybe if, like Zeke's picture, the background had a more noticable transition (like hers is orange to red, yours could be dusk fading to night instead of blue to darker blue with stars) it would blend better. But the way it is now, the lower half of the image is less interesting than the rest of the image and, while that isn't horrible, it would've been much better if the entire image popped out at you like the flame. So, in the end, I've decided I'm giving my vote to Ezekiel. Her image was more solid than Katana's, but both are extremely well done. This was a hard decision, and it came down to only my picky-ness to help me decide who got my vote. Either one of you will wipe the floor with me if we get paired together, so I'm screwed no matter what, lol. Good luck to the both of you, and keep making aweshum stuffies. x3 -

Explosions, gun shots, screams? It was war. A boy, no older than nineteen, lay still next to a wall, his own blood surrounding him. His chest had been shot and cut several times, and his right arm lay limp by his side while his left reached for his gun. His brown hair continuously fell in front of his silver eyes, worsening his already blurry vision. He grunted as his left arm stretched too far and pain shot through his body. He pulled it back into his chest, breathing heavily for a few seconds before reaching out again. "Of all the times?" The voice startled him, and he looked up to see another soldier standing above him. He could tell it was a woman, but he could not make out her face. "Switch? You sure are useless sometimes." He recognized the woman's sarcastic tone and grinned, closing his left eye to make the blur less severe. "Just hand me my gun, Andi." "Why? Your legs are fine. Get up and grab it yourself," she teased before pointing her gun and firing. The sound of the gunshot was followed by a loud thud as her target hit the floor. Despite her comment, she grabbed the young man's gun and handed it to him before lifting him up and slinging his arm around her neck. "Let's get you to a hospital. You're a bloody mess. Literally. We'll take the sewers." With the woman's aid, the boy ran as fast as he could through the back allies until they came across a large hole in the ground. The woman counted to three before they jumped down together. He stumbled after landing, but remained on his feet. They knew where they were going, and that the things chasing them would easily get lost in the complex sewer systems they had chased each other through for years. They had the upper hand, and they were sure the trip to the hospital would be a cinch. But after a while, the boy began breathing harder, and was starting to lose consciousness. The woman noticed and quickly sat him down along the pathway. She glanced out from behind the corner they had stopped near, but there was no one in sight. She took the opportunity to take off her over-shirt and began ripping it. "You've lost a lot of blood. If we don't get to the hospital soon?" the woman trailed off, wrapping the ripped parts of her shirt around his chest to cover his bleeding wounds. His eyes were barely open, and his vision had worsened. But he distinctly made out two silhouettes behind her, and he slowly lifted his working arm before mumbling. "C-Cat? Behind?" he began, but he was soon cut off by her scream before she fell dead into his lap. He blinked for a moment before feeling a sudden force against the side of his head as he fell unconscious. --- Two laughing men and a woman walked into a room with two bunks and desks in it, one vacant and the other occupied. The laughing subsided when the woman moved a chair closer to the lower bunk and sat in it, instructing the other two to observe what was in the bunk. "What's up with Morgan?" the shorter man asked. "Don't know. He's always still in his sleep. But look at him now. He's rolling around like crazy, and he's even grinding his teeth a little." "Relax, guys. It's probably just him having a nightmare about getting his arm," the other man insisted, pointing to the discolored, robotically-modified limb that was visible until Morgan thrashed a bit and rolled over again. The others glared at him, as nobody ever spoke about that arm casually when he was awake. He always wore long-sleeves and a glove to cover up his hand, but that didn?t stop the rumors from getting out once he was seen without a shirt on. "I still think we should notify someone," the woman sighed. "Go ahead. Don't know what good it'll do him, though. Well, we're out of here, right Stack?" the taller man yawned, walking out of the room, the other following close behind. The woman took one last look before leaving for the infirmary. --- The boy blinked his eyes open slowly, and when he looked around, he saw nothing but white. Looking down at himself, he realized he was no longer a boy, but a man of twenty four. He balled his right hand into a fist and it shook with anger for a moment before he released it and sighed. "That dream again?" "You aren't awake yet." Looking up, he found himself staring into yellow eyes. He pulled his head back further to see the head the eyes belonged to was a large cat head, covered in black fur. He gawked at it before it coughed and inquired how long he would be staring at him. He instantly straightened up and shot a question back. "Wouldn't you be surprised if you found yourself talking to a cat?" "Panther. I am a panther. No need to be rude, Switch." "So you know my name? Well, it figures, seeing as you're in my dream. But why am I seeing a talking? panther?" "That will be explained later, when your ground unit expertise finally comes into play. But, unfortunately, I believe our time is up for now. Wake up, Switch, and see you soon." --- Switch bolted upright, but instantly fell back into his pillow, holding his hands to his forehead. He let out an angry cry of pain and annoyance, before realizing he wasn?t alone. He got out of bed, now wary of the low bottom belonging to the other bunk, and stood at attention. "Calm down. It's just the nurse," he heard his roommate say. If her face had been visible, he was sure he would have seen her roll her eyes. "Ma'am," he sighed, relaxing a bit. "Cadet #010062, Switch Morgan. Age, twenty-four, height, 185 centimeters, weight, sixty-four kilograms, hair, brown, eyes, silver. You passed all of your physicals, and the injuries you had sustained when you were younger have proven to be inconsequential in regards to your health and ability to perform in domestic and military duties. So, it basically says you're in perfect health. But I have been informed that you looked? discomforted in your sleep." The nurse snapped her fingers, and the lights came on instantly. In front of Switch stood a grinning, slender woman, not much older than he was, holding a clipboard with some sheets on it that he realized must have been the information she was reading. He thought about it for a moment, and then remembered the lights had been off until a second ago. He stared at her curiously before waving the topic from his thoughts as he stretched. Thinking too much about what Nurse Addison did and how she did it would give anyone a horrible headache. "Care to talk about it?" "No thank you," he mumbled, ruffling his brown hair. "Come, come now, Switch. We used to talk. Why not now? I never knew you could be this grumpy," she pretended to pout, walking up to him and pressing her index finger into his muscular but bandaged chest. Switch glanced from her to his roommate standing in the doorway, a rather pleased look on her face. He knew she was loving this, and he gave her a wicked glare with his silver eyes to keep her from giggling out loud. "Look, I'm fine. I was just having a bad dream. Besides, as you said, I'm perfectly fine. Now if you don't mind, it's early, and unlike you two, it seems, I'd like to get some more sleep in before I have to do any work today," he replied, practically shoving the woman out of the door, his roommate swiftly stepping out of the way. "Hmph!" she grunted rather loudly, flipping her hair and hugging her clipboard to her chest as she walked away, trying to hide the embarrassment of being shut down so quickly. Switch rubbed his nose as he glanced at the woman on the floor, almost completely debilitated with laughter. She had been worried at first, but it had been removed from her thoughts when she heard his conversation with the nurse. He ignored her, as he usually did when she was being annoying, and got back into bed, snapping his fingers to shut the lights off. "Besides, when my dreams are that bizarre, I must be sleep deprived," he grumbled, burying his face deeper into his pillow.
ooc :: It was unclear (to me, at least) how long ago the Valentine?s Day attack was, so the ?war? in Switch?s memory/dream could be something else.
"C'mon Blue. Almost there." Ahndra knew her companion was exhausted, but her own tiredness had fleeted at the sight of the city. She had travelled for so long, even she had forgotten when they had left home. But now she was excited, and with her energy had returned, nothing was going to stop her from getting into the city of the Malroy. She turned back to her feathered mount which, curiously, was not being used as such at the moment, and tugged gently on his reins. He stopped in his tracks, jerking her back with him. "Don't give up on me now," she urged, taking another tug at the reins in her hand. "Think of it this way. There's plenty of water in the city." Her encouraging smile and the promise of water melted the creature's stubborness, and the two picked up their pace. Nearly an hour of walking later, the two of them strode casually into the busy streets of the city. Ahndra was in awe of the size of the crowd more than anything. Rarely had she seen so many people in one place before. "Amazing..." she whispered to herself. Without warning, she was suddenly pushed over, being caught quickly by Blue. A young boy was rushing past and she had been shoved aside for being in his path. "Sorry!" she called after him, but she doubted her apology was heard. Shaking it off, she resumed her trek through the large street, searching for the man she had contacted about assisting the Malroy effort. "Now, what was his name...?" she thought aloud, though more aware of the people around her now. "Mage General Sársauki! He said to look for his tower and courtyard. So... Where would it be?" Blue nudged at her arm in an attempt to get her attention, but she waved him off, insisting that she had to concentrate on finding the tower. But she was looking in the wrong direction, and Blue had spotted a large building that could possibly be that tower, so he continued to pester her until she finally acknowledged him, albeit a bit frustrated. "What is it, already?" she mumbled angrily. Blue shook his head in the direction of the tower. ".. Oh." She paused for a moment before raising an eyebrow and grinning at her unusually colored companion. "Outsmarting me in public, hmm?" Ahndra's conversation with Blue had garnered the awareness of some pedestrians around them, but it took a moment for her to realize she was being stared at. Once she did, she coughed uncomfortably, her face turning a deep shade of pink, and hastily walked off. The sooner she met with the Mage General, the better.
ooc :: Sorry my post is short. D: ... Okay, it's really short. Really, really short. However, she does not always use all four at once, as she is capable of summoning only one of them at a time, if she so wishes. All of her axes are carried around mainly by the wind. There are chains, with the nobody symbols swinging at the end of them, coming off the bottom of the hafts of each axe. Nobody: Dragoons, large, lance-wielding beings that strongly resemble dragons. Some of her following have even learned to wield multiple lances at once, just like she does. Personality: Xinikk is uncivilized, abrasive, obstinant, and generally misbehaved. She believes that, despite the fact that she follows the number I, she doesn't have to listen to anyone, and is basically her own boss. However, without direction, Xinikk easily becomes bored and will do nothing, believing herself incapable of making good plans herself. Though she cannot actually 'feel' depression or anger, but the thought of not being a whole person often bothers her. When bothered, she absent-mindedly settles down, and only when it is brought to her attention will she revert to her violent, rude, and loud ways. In regards to the others of the Order, Xinikk is not very close to any of them, partly because of her behavior, but mainly due to her complete disregard for them all together. Xinikk and Marax, in particular, share a particularly strong, mutual dislike for one another. She has never bothered to figure out why he doesn't like her, but finds his attitude extremely aggitating, and she almost goes out of her way to disobey and ignore him as often as possible.
Ayame watched as Sakura walked away, probably off to find Kyosuke. Carrot and the others stared at her with concerned looks, but were surprised when she smiled and sat up. Carrot tried to insist that she stay in bed, but she got up anyway. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised, huh? Can't believe I haven't noticed she's just as jealous of me as I am of her." The others were silent. "Guess I'll let the two of them be." "What are you talking about?" Carrot finally blurted out, tired of no one else saying anything. Havok rolled his eyes and Rinoa jabbed him gently in the side. "Hehe," Ayame giggled in response. "Well, I'm going for a walk. You can tell Nurse Mallon whatever you want, but I'm not coming back to the infirmary. It's far too depressing here." With that, she walked out of the infirmary, Daiya floating behind her. The two wandered around the school in silence for quite a while. She was sure they had circled some areas several times before finally stopping by a bench in front of the dorm wing. Her feet were tired from walking for so long, and she sat down, Daiya floating up beside her. "Are you sad, Ayame?" he asked suddenly. "Why do you ask?" she replied calmly, though she wasn't particularly happy that he had asked. "Well.. I've never heard you so serious. It must have something to do with your trial, right?" Daiya suggested. "How can something I don't remember make me serious?" she asked in a somewhat angry tone. This uncharacteristic behavior of hers unnerved her furry companion, but he wasn't going to stop pestering her until she admitted what it was that was bothering her. "Well if it's not that, then what is it?" "Daiya... Today was the first time I ever called Kyosuke by his nickname." "And? That's it?" he asked, somewhat surprised that such a simple thing could be the problem. But she shook her head, smiling slightly. "I did it on accident. I was just so relieved to see him alive that it kind of slipped out. I'd never call him by his nickname normally because, the truth is... I'm not close enough to him. I don't have the right to." "Ayame, you're being silly. You are too close to--" "But not the way I wanted!" she blurted out, tears forming at the edges of her eyes. Daiya paused, not sure of what to say next. He had known her since she was just a child, and had always been protective of her. She never minded, and until this year, he had very rarely left her side. But for the past few months, he had backed off, and as a result, she had developed bonds with a select few stronger than with any other person before. He wondered if it was such a good thing, seeing her sorry state at the moment. "Ayame..." "Do you hear that?" she interrupted. "Hm? Hear what?" he asked, having not been paying attention to anything else. "It's nice..." she giggled, though there was still a few tears slipping down her cheeks. She stood up suddenly and rushed towards the stairs, Daiya chasing after her, still confused. His sense of hearing was much better than hers, and he still didn't hear anything. They climbed a few flights of stairs before she exited the stairwell and headed towards the source of the music. By now, Daiya could hear it, but wasn't sure why he hadn't before. "Stephen, you play the flute?" "Eh?" he asked, slightly startled by Ayame's statement. He looked over and saw her and, once realizing who it was, motioned for her to come in. "Yeah, but... I guess I should've closed the door. I don't really like audiences." "But you play really well, y'know," she smiled meekly. He grinned, happy that someone liked how he played, and even more pleased that she sounded to be sincere. Ayame had taken a seat on the couch and watched as he got off his bed and put away his flute. When he finished, he walked over and noticed she looked unnerved, and generally upset, some tear stains still marking her cheeks. "You don't look so good. I heard your trial didn't go all that great," he said sympathetically. "No, not particularly," she mumbled, rubbing her eye. He laughed quietly before holding out his hand. "C'mon. You look like you could use something to eat." She looked up at him, then to his hand, but did not move. He paused for a moment before asking her if she was okay. She shook her head, finally putting her hand in his, and he pulled her up. Finally on her feet, she stared at him for a moment before throwing her arms around his neck and crying into his shoulder. He was thrown off for a moment before realizing he should pat her back to calm her down. "Guess she wasn't okay," he chuckled to Daiya, who only eyed him curiously in response. He shook off the chilly feeling he got and resumed trying to calm Ayame's crying.
--- OOC: There. I posted, AND I included Stephen. Now you need to shut up and post, White. xP
