I would be a Yoshi. They have long tongues, can jump high and far, have the ability to carry plump, fat American-Italian plumbers, they come in many colours, and dissolve when dipped in water. Actually, come to think of it, Yoshis kind of suck, heh. My question: Does Kirby have ears?

I think I made a mistake. The bundle I got wasn't the Nintendogs bundle... you know, not the one that comes with the bone-shaped screen cleaner and the Nintendogs skin. I got the one that came with a standard copy of Nintendogs (Labrador), and get this: my DS is blue, not teal. No wonder I thought it looked better than it did in the pictures. From the moment I opened it, nothing was as I thought it would be, seeing as the version of Nintendogs had the same old dogs in it, and the screen cleaner was no where to be found. Your post Petie actually made me look it up and confirm this. So yeah, while I got a Nintendogs DS bundle, it's not actually the "bundle bundle" that's taking the world by storm. But hey, I made a healthy profit so I ain't complaining. :D

Well, I went out and got a DS today. I got the Nintendogs bundle with a teal DS, and as much as I doubted the colour, it actually looks pretty cool. It'll grow on me, I suppose, but for now, I'm happy with it. You know, I had never planned on getting Nintendogs, because it's merely a fleshed out Tamagotchi in my opinion. That's not to say I wouldn't play it, I just felt that a game like Nintendogs wasn't worth £30 at all. Anyway, I started playing the game when I got home, and I got very tired of it, very quickly. I'm a very impatient person if you don't know, and going through the tutorials and such did it for me almost immediately, because they went by way too slowly. I wasn't too fond of the microphone, either... I was too embarrassed to say my puppy's name to my DS in front of my mom lol. Plus, it can get really irritating when the DS doesn't recognise what you said, even though you obviously did say it. So in the end, I sold Nintendogs almost an hour after I had bought it lol, which was the good part. I paid £10 extra for Nintendogs in that bundle, and sold it for £20, and then put the extra money I had left into Super Mario 64 DS, which is now my main game. Just for the record, everyone was right! The game just isn't the same without the analogue stick. So there you have it. My day in a nutshell. Thanks for the heads up though, people. Petie: Yeah, I'm interested in Mario Kart. Very interested, actually. I can't wait to get my hands on it. However, I wasn't keen on getting a red DS at all, because I could imagine my self puking every time I saw it... especially in the summer time. Don't ask. Nintendogs on the other hand, is no good in my book.

New DS Bundles have been announced recently. There's the Nintendog's Bundle, which comes at a lower price with a Teal or Pink DS and a special edition copy of the game, featuring the most popular breeds from each edition of the game as starters. But obviously, you know about that. The next Bundle is said to be a Mario Kart DS one, which comes with a Red DS, and a copy of the game, at a lower price. Some sites call this one a rumour, and others say it's confirmed news. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a DS soon, but the thing is, I want the default Chrome one, and not a Teal, Pink, or Red one, as they all look terrible (Teal is okay, I suppose). So I'm asking you, what would you do in my shoes? Would you go for the Teal Bundle as it works out cheaper in the long run, or get a Chrome DS just because it looks nicer. Remember people, a DS is for life. ;)

Apparently the trick to that Chocobo race lies in getting a good start. I can't remember if I did accomplish the race, because FFX was kind of in the grey area for me when it came to secrets and stuff; for every secret and side-quest I had obtained/done, there were about three others that I needed to do, Blitzball being the biggest one. I have the Official Strategy Guide, and I just checked it out of curiosity, but there's nothing about the Chocobo race inside it, or at least I never saw anything inside about it. I think the best bet would be to find a map or something on GameFAQs. Overall, I think it's supposed to be pretty tough.

What's the deal with the holidays in AC Wild World? Does anyone know? I heard that they're getting rid of events like Christmas and Halloween and replacing them with made up special events and occasions, just so people from other ethnic groups who play the game don't get offended that their holy days or whatever weren't included. If that's true, then man, what a drag. I mean, it doesn't really make a difference what the holidays are called, whether they're changed or not, but I quite liked the fact that there were special holidays to look forward to in the game. They allowed for certain days to be different from others, especially seeing as how repetitive the game can get at times, but yet still addictive. :D Any who, establishing a new forum for wi-fi gaming sounds pretty cool, although something tells me that it may be inactive some of the time.

FFIII is coming for the DS! I've made up my mind; if Mario Kart DS doesn't keep me occupied until Animal Crossing Wild World comes out, then I'm definitely gonna buy FFIV once it's released to take its place. Of course, that's a big "if", though. ;)

Even though I most likely won't be getting a 360 (not on its release, anyway), the game that seriously attracts my attention is Castle Wolfenstein, even more so than Splinter Cell 4 and Quake 4. Man, I had some good times with that game on the PC, so seeing it once more on the 360, considering the graphical capabilities that come with it, has me pretty excited. Other games I'm interested in are Perfect Dark Zero, obviously, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
-
I don't know anything about this game, but judging by a few screenshots I saw online, the graphics look absolutely wild. However, I've pretty much lost hope in superhero based games, seeing as all they're composed of these days are destructible environments and repetitive gameplay systems.
-
Talk about timing. I don't think I'll be getting the game straight away upon it's release like I did with Dawn of Souls, because there are other things I want to buy, but I will get it soon enough. I never saw Final Fantasy as the best RPG series, but it excites me whenever a new Final Fantasy game is bound for the GBA, because they all tend to be a step above what's on offer for the system in comparison to the other RPGs available right now, or at least of what's available to me. Anyway, I'm glad the release date isn't set too far off.

Kikko-man is the craziest thing I have ever seen. I've even tasted the branded soy sauce before. ^_^ I'm gonna use Desbreko's set, since it stands out more, which is what I pretty much tend to go for these days. The backgrounds used in both sets are awesome though. I would've been happy with just the black and nothing else, so thanks guys. Anyway, my computer is a little messed up right now and I can't change avatars, so I'll do that the next time I have access to a working computer. Once more, thanks.

I prefer FFX, because I felt that there was more variety to take on. When I say variety, I'm not talking about mini-games and side quests, but the fact that FFX had more playable characters than FFX2... a lot more. I just got sick of using the same three characters over and over, even though they got complete make-overs whenever they changed jobs. Overall, I think that both games are quite similar, but have their own differences. Though I think I had a lot more fun playing FFX.

Anyone willing to make me a Kikko-man banner and avatar set? I've provided the images for the banner and the avatar separately below... how you want to make it is entirely up to you. Avatar: Banner: Thanks in advance. Your pal, Bombu.
My least favorite is (probably) Spring, even though my birthday's in March. Why? I don't really know. For some reason, I find it colder at the start of Spring than it is at any part of Winter. Add a nice, bright, low-on-the-horizon sun and I can end up with quite a few headaches. :animeangr And, if nothing else, I just find it boring. Very, very boring.
Dude, weird. I also get that exact same kind of vibe during spring time (I also live in the UK). That sun is so god damn deceitful! For me, seasons are kind of strange. During winter, I'll plea for the summer, as I can't take the cold, and come summer time, I'll plea for winter, because I miss those early sunsets and snow days. But if god came down right now and forced me to choose one season that I'd have to spend the rest of my life in, then I'd choose summer. Sorry, but the cold is an absolute no-go for me.
Actually, I hadn't heard anything about this before now. Is there any solid information or is it all just rumors so far?
I first heard about it in NOM UK, a few months ago. All I know is that it's currently in development, but all the rest is a mystery. As far as rumours go though, NOM said that Metroid Dread is real.
I just wish they would stop messing with metroid. IT WAS PERFECT AS IT WAS! we dont need to have to touch something to make samus move or whatnot, we need 2 buttons and an arrow pad!
Well, to some extent I can tell where you're coming from. Seeing as all of the 2D Metroid games so far have revolved around the same structure, particularly the exploration debacle, then I guess moulding 3D elements into the game could be a bad thing, but then again, it could be a completely innovative feature that many future titles would be keen to pick up on. I just hope it's no where near as easy as Fusion and Zero Mission.
The sad thing is, I've yet to beat Disagea or Phantom Brave, as I level a team up, then get interested in another character class, level him up, and so forth, while never actually moving forward story-wise.
The answer to that is to level everything and everyone up! Looking back at FFTA, that's what I'd most likely do lol (if that's possible; I'm yet to play both games, even though I badly want to). I was also playing FFVI on the PlayStation from my Anthology pack last year. I actually started the file some time in August, and it just kind of dragged on. I'm yet to beat the game though; I picked up from where I left off a few weeks ago, but still, I got no where fast. The main problem about FFVI for me -- as I've said a million times here already ? is that it's way too slow. Especially when opening the menu screen, as it takes ages to load, amongst many other things. I think I'm going to give up on that version of FFVI for good now, and just play the game when it comes around for the DS... assuming it won't suffer from the same problem.

Yeah Shin, I remember you talking about those games at some point last year. I'm sure Paper Mario 2 was amongst them as well... but eh, who knows. ^_^;; I couldn't wait for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, which was due in November some time, so I decided to blow the dust of my Platinum copy of Metroid Prime just to get my juices flowing. It helped, but I still felt deprived lol. Other games I was playing included Super Metroid on the SNES, Donkey Konga (I think), and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Really, I think 2004 was one of the better years for gaming, because 2005 has been pretty dry for me.

What would you choose Love or your Dreams?
BlueYoshi replied to WhiteAoiFox's topic in General Discussion
Dreams, definitely. Despite how behind I am in my education, I still want to prove to my mum that I'm not a loser, and that I can and will make it in life. I want to start earning so I can end her financial troubles and let her live a much better life than the bag of shite one that she's stuck in right now, and I'm not going to let any broad get in the way of that. BlueYoshi replied to FlamesFirebrand's topic in Noosphere
For those going, you may as well capatalise on the situation. Just get loads of random Nintendo related junk signed and sell 'em off at eBay. -
I thought I'd make a "fun" thread, seeing as things have gotten a scratch too serious around here lately. Anyway, the point of the thread is simply to look back a year, and state whatever you may have been doing last year this time that happens to be gaming-related. You can mention what game you were playing a year ago, or what gaming fad you were following at the time... anything at all. I'm not so sure if it'll work out though, since I'm guessing that not many people will be able to stretch their memories so far back (strangely enough, I do), so please don't shoot the messenger. What was I doing last year this time? I had just bought Animal Crossing for the GameCube, which commenced a month of my new obsession. Heh, I remember it so clearly; gathering Bells to pay off those horrible debts to Nook, gardening like there was no tomorrow, listening to that damn owl Blathers go on and on about his stupid museum, and getting owned by angry bees. Unfortunately, I found the game a bit too inconvenient, as I didn't have much access to it with my college having just started and all. It was a great experience though, and I got a free memory card with the game as well. But I digress, that won't be happening with AC Wild World. I was playing a bunch of games around this time actually, but I'll let the thread pick up before I start posting anymore. If you can't remember what you were doing and wanna post anyway, then just lie. No one will be able to tell, I promise.

The voices grew on me, but I couldn't get over how much Lloyd sounded like a cartoon character, even more so when he was angry. I thought Zelos' voice was fitting for his personality, and so was Presea's, but for the rest, they were kind of cliched. You know, I never actually used the cooking option at all throughout the game... I just stuck to items. I had loads of recipes though.
A) Which aspect of OtakuBoards do you find to be the most negative/confusing?[/b']
Well... to be honest, I haven't noticed anything "bad" or "confusing" myself because I tend to keep it simple in this place. I just log on, read a few threads, post a few posts, and then leave, just as I would in any other forum. I'll leave this one to the more frequent members. ^_^
B) What is your favorite aspect of OtakuBoards?
I like how everyone's post quality is up to par. It makes it easy for me to read posts other than my own. If someone makes a bad, near to useless post, then I won't feel an urge to reply to it at all because I'd probably most likely get the same sort of reply. So, I really like how good post quality is enforced around here.

I'm addicted to tea. I can't/won't start the day without a cup. Even if I'm running late for whatever event, I'll always squeeze in time for a cup of tea. I have to have a cup before I sleep as well, not because it helps me sleep (duh), but just for piece of mind. In between these two cups of tea, I'd have about three throughout the day. It's never a bad time for tea, I mean, it's my favourite summer, winter, autumn and spring drink.

I'm a peaceful guy, but I have my moments. I've only ever gone and hit someone out of anger twice; usually I try to get people who piss me off where it hurts, as in indirectly get revenge. I've done some pretty bad things because of it, but I only ever resort to that on special occasions. I don't feel bad about it though, not unless it serves them right.
