2. Kirra withdrew her hand from Renjin's graps rather sharply. She hiccuped once more. Her platinum silver eyes looked angry, for some reason. Renjin had a look of confusion across his face. What did he do this time? A sudden clap of thunder and brightness of lightning signalled the oncoming of a storm. Rain started to come down. Kirra looked up into the sky, the dirt and blood being washed away by the fresh feeling of rain. Renjin looked at her curiously. She seemed very close to nature, closer than normal Night Elves. " Renjin.... can you leave me..." came a whisper from her as she closed her eyes and held her head up to the sky. Renjin took a step backwards. She didn't hiccup when she said it. His eyes narrowed. " You're drunk Kirra. You shouldn't be out here by yourself." " Renjin.... I said go..." she growled, still looking up at the sky with closed eyes. Renjin growled himself. She was too complex for his liking. One minute she was churpy and happy, then the next she is moody and solitary. And this is the reason why I could never understand women......strangest creatures on Azeroth, no matter their race.... He backed away and melted into the shadows. Kirra stood there, now alone, bruised and cold, letting the icy-cold rain pelt her dark skin. It was refreshing, and brought back her mind that was lost in her drunken haze. Although it was icy-cold outside, inside of her was a burning rage. " How could I have been so stupid.... and needed saving.... I'm not worthy of the title Shadow Hunter....." Shadows started to dance around her - three dimensional ones. All were whispering in some language that was not of Azeroth. Their dark webs of hands and feet whirled around her, becoming a frantic pace. Evil glowing red eys swirled around her. " Be silent!" she commanded. The shadows stopped immediately, muttering between themselves. Thane started vibrate upon her back. It was calling for her to use it. The blade itched to be used - against anything. Kirra reached up to her back and unsheathed the beautifully curved blade, the silver blade glistening the in rain. Lightning flashed, illuminating its wonderously curved blade. Soaked and freezing, Kirra held Thane in a horizontal position in front of her blade, the sharp edge facing outwards. In front of her stood a tall dead oak tree. Her eyes still closed, she ran for it, the three-dimensional shadows watching her. In one slash, Kirra cut through the thickest part of the trunk with ease, causing it to come crashing down in a heavy thud that equalled the sound of thunder overhead. Opening her eyes, Kirra breathed out heavily. Her body ached from the punishment those human men had given her earlier. It was a just punishment. She had let her guard slip a fraction, and they took advantage of it. Cursing and swearing at herself for such a pitiful act, she headed back to the inn, looking forward to a warm bath. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steam rose out of the porcelan bathtub. Kirra slid down into the hot water, finally relaxing and feeling rather warm. Her trek back to the inn was uneventful, however, she noticed some scuffel marks of a Taurn, Orc, Human and Dwarf a few metres away from the door of the inn. Whatever the scuffel was about, was over and dealt with. She had come into her and Renjin's room to find him asleep in his bed, looking like a stiff pole as he slept. The last few hours had been intense enough without the loss of her pride. Cursing again, Kirra swore to herself that she would never ever needed to be saved by anyone else again.... especially by Renjin.
3. Kirra hiccupped. Her cheeks were rosy from intoxication and her vision wasn't that good either. But she never imagined walking in on Renjin. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see anymore and sidled back into the hallway. " I'll just .... hic... go back downstairs... hic..." she said before slightly weaving her way back down there. Renjin looked out of the door with a concerned look on his face before sighing and shutting the door, making sure it was locked this time. As she came to the common tavern room, she noticed that Narote and Apollos had gone up to their rooms. Pity... she would have liked to have talked to them a bit more, especially after what little conversation they had over dinner. She made her way over to the bar where she sat down on a crudely-carved wooden stool and ordered another ale. " Comin' right up ma`am!" the human bartender said enthusiatically. He poured a glass for Kirra as she looked around the room. There was two groups of rather loud humans in the dark corners. One group was playing cards and the other seemed like they were planning something. A few dwarves and goblins were around as well. So far, Renjin and herself were the only Night Elves, although, the Night Elves didn't like to stray too far from their capital. Soon, a large mug of ale was in front of Kirra. She smiled and took a swig. This stuff was good. It tasted a little like honey but the alcoholic content must have been through the roof. Two more gulps as she felt very tipsy. She must have been swaying in her seat because the group of human men that seemed like they were planning something soon made their way over to her. They looked like a group of ruffians in Kirra's eyes, however, she saw the dark, malice intent in their eyes. But, for some strange reason, it didn't register in her mind what they were planning. " Howdy fellas!" she said cheerily to them, holding up her mug of ale. " Whatcha all up to?" " Well..." The leader stepped forward. He was rather muscular and battle-hardened - Kirra could tell from the scars on his right arm, obviously his sword arm. " We were wondering if you'd like to come for a walk with us." " Sure!" Stupidly, Kirra accompanied them out. It was getting nearer and nearer to dawn. A very faint glow on the horizon signalled that it was getting closer. Kirra was happily chatting away as they listened to her. She didn't notice where they were heading, well, that's what the human men thought anyhow. The group stopped in a dark patch of trees. The forest was closing in around them. Kirra felt quite comfortable in this environment - the fresh smell of pine, the clean scent of water trickling far off in the distance. And that was when she noticed that the group of human men closed in around her in a tight circle, sinister, sickening looking gazes tracing her outline. Kirra closed her eyes and smiled to herself. Fools... " You must be drunk to wander off by yourself with a group of men... that, or you are a whore desperate for some action..." the leader sniggered as he drew out his sword, holding the tip to Kirra's throat. She still had her eyes closed. " Insults... is that all you can come up with?" Kirra taunted. She slowly opened her eyes as she flicked out a dagger. It just clipped the leader's ear, making him howl in pain at the weapon passed him and embedded itself into the tree behind him. The othes jumped into action. Kirra smiled as, miracously, her drunkness cleared as her body kicked into action. OOC: Perfect chance for you Renjin.
4. Kirra lent back into the seat, the mug of ale in one hand, her other outstretched along the top of the chair. Apollos seemed sincere enough about destroying her home, and he should have been. But what's done is done - you can't change the past, no matter how much you want to. She took a swig of ale before she answered Apollos' question. " Professions huh? Hm.... Seems like you two got in first and got the good ones, not like I would have been able to do them anyway. I'm not good at magic for Herbalism and Alchemy, and I don't have enough strength for Mining and Engineering..... although...." A smile came to Kirra's face. It was directed at Apollos who backed off a little. He liked the death-glare more. " I have a proposition for you Apollos." " What might that be?" Apollos answered, a definite quiver in his voice. Something was going on in that Elvish mind of hers. Kirra smiled. " Since you destroyed my house... and one of your desired professions is mining... I suggest that whenever you find any gemstones that you come to me to see if I like any. Say it could be payment so I can rebuild my home when this is over." Apollos thought for a few moments, weighing up the pros and cons of her deal. He then locked gazes with her when he came to a decision. " Very well. I accept." " Good!" Kirra smiled as him, this time a genuine smile before taking a swig of ale. " You still haven't answered Apollos' question Kirra," Narote pipped up. He was a little rosy on the cheeks, his small cup being empty. He hiccouped once and smiled. Renjin looked amused by Narote's obvious intoxication, having never seen a priest that was so easily drunken. " Oh right... Hmm...." Kirra said softly. " Fishing sounds easy enough. I could do it with my unpoisoned throwing daggers. It'd be good training as well. But I'll also do it by the fishing rod, although, I'm not one for patience. Tailoring sounds interesting enough. I might be able to make some beautiful cloths that might come in handy one day." She took another swig of ale, feeling a little-lightheaded. She'd never drank ale before. It was a lot heavier than what she normally drank, and possibly more alcoholic. Kirra could feel her dark cheeks go a little rosy. However, she hadn't let her guard slip even the tiniest bit. She turned to Renjin. " What about you and the professions you'd like to learn?"
5. Kirra growled. This.... human... had destroyed her home - the home she and a close friend had worked so hard to build. Now that her friend had departed for the Other World, Kirra was even more protective of her home. But this stupid... insignificant... light-dwelling... human.... had destroyed the last thing those two had shared together. Her body was slightly shaking from insurmountable anger. Her platinum silver eyes looked lethally at the paladin, who felt the death-like stare and shivered coldly. " To Darnassus then," Narote, the priest said, sensing the tense situation between Kirra and Apollos. The three men walked off while Kirra tried to salvage what she could from the wreckage of her house. " By the Goddess Elune, I will punish that paladin if it's the last thing I do..." she spat. She gathered her weapons that had been laying on her bed, and her pack and other necessities. Once everything was packed and in the right place, Kirra set after them at a great speed. In no time at all, she had caught up, appearing out of nowhere from the shadows of the trees. It seemed they didn't even realise she wasn't following them. The trees rustled with a soft cool breeze. The half-moon hung in the sky, splashing silver moonlight over the landscape. The two humans were talking to each other about one thing or another. Renjin walked behind them, his mind deep in thought. Kirra looked around warily, spinning a dagger in her hand. The sounds of night creatures hummed softly through the trees. The heavy footsteps of the two humans drowned the song of the night forest. Kirra huffed. Humans weren't good for anything in battle but plain fighting. They had no tact whatsoever. They didn't even care that they were making so much sound that it was clearly heard in the nearby Night Elven village. After adjusting her pack on her back, she sheathed her dagger and fingered the handle of her katana Thane. She was beginning to become bored, so bored that she thought she'd go mad as the group trodded along a worn-path, heading to Darnassus. A few hours later, the four of them arrived in the village of Darnassus. First thing to do, find an inn to stay in. hovering around the main street, they finally found a suitable place to stay in but only two rooms were left. It was decided that Narote and Apollos were in one room, and Renjin and Kirra in the other. They ordered meals for dinner and sat down in the public common area to eat. OOC: It would be a good idea if we got to know each other before anything major happened. I tried to leave it at a spot where it was a good start for conversation.
6. Before Apollos and Narote's interruption... Renjin broke from the kiss quickly to gulp down the contents of the small vial. A satified sigh escaped his lips as he felt him insides cool down. Kirra lent on the wooden table she was seated at before her door was broken down by the warlock. She looked at him with an unsatisfied expression. " How rude..." she sighed as Renjin wanted to know why he was here. She got up from leaning on the table and sat back in her chair, with her feet once again upon the table. Her platinum silver eyes looked up at him. " You are here... because... you have intrigued me..." Renjin's ears perked up a little. Intrigued... her...? Kirra smiled and continued. " A warlock with common-sense and luck... that's something you don't see everyday, especially a Night-Elven one who has experienced... the Dark Ritual." Her eyes scanned him. He felt like his soul was being examined by those haunting eyes. A cold shiver ran down his spine. A silence followed - an uncomfortable one at that. Kirra looked out the small window of her small cottage. Renjin escaped her gaze to look at her home. It was small enough for her to live comfortably by herself. Also everything in the cottage was made with organic materials. The linen on her bed was made from cotton. Her wooden bed and many other pieces of furniture were made out of ebony. A crudely-carved bath made out of stone stood in a bathroom that was concealed behind a silk curtain. Everything was very earthy. The moonlight came through the small glass windows scattered around the walls of the cottage. She just stared at the soft silver light as it descended through her window, not taking any notice of Renjin. Then, two humans entered her cottage. Kirra felt their presence before they had even entered. It was the same with Renjin. A reason for the silence. The one with spikey black hair and black eyes spoke first. " Are you Renjin Forestwalker? If so, we're looking for you." Kirra scanned this man over carefully. From the look of his clothing, he was a paladin, and a fairly powerful one at that. The man to his side was a priest with the white turban and cape. Renjin turned to them as Kirra stood from her seat. Her hand was inching towards her throwing daggers. " Yes, I'm Renjin," said the Night Elf warlock. " Who're you two?" The priest stepped forward with a bow. " I am Narote of Granada, and my comrade is Apollos Pursol." Kirra looked at the two humans with a cold, shrewd look. Strange what circumstances arise. Here are two humans, both light-dwellers, both with powers connected to the light. And then there is herself and Renjin, both night-dwellers, both with powers connected with darkness. Ironic... or the way it should be? Kirra smiled to herself. " Why are you asking for me?" Renjin asked. He was still a little agitated from Kirra's antics beforehand, although he had seemed to have calmed down. " We've found something.... something that might interest you..." Apollos said.
7. Name: Katima Gender: Female Race: Wakanda Position: Kalei's side Ability: Katima is an unusual Wakanda. She has the ability to control all six elements, but not as masterfully as her fire and darkness abilities (this is by permission of DC). Dark Flame - Katima usually uses her expert fire and darkness skills to perfection when she combines the two together, creating a rather unusual ability. This flame is able to burn any species on earth, but it does not give off light. It's a perfect weapon for dark endeveaours. Dark Flame Chain - Katima combines her skills again to make a lengthy dark flame chain that is almost indestructible. The only thing that can break this chain is holy water - why, Katima has no idea. She uses the chain like a whip with devastating effects. Sometimes, she adds a scythe piece on the end, then the weapon becomes an entirely different enemy. Dark Flame Scythe-Blade - Katima has only one other weapon other than her Dark Flame Chain, however, this weapon is far more devastating and destructive and takes a lot more effort to master. Dark flames burst around the four scythe blades and makes anything it touches catch on fire with this dark flame. The blade is spun around using her hand like a windmill, then released, causing a whirlwind of fury and fire. See second attachment for the basic scythe-blade. Appearance: See first attachment - without the horns. See third attachment for clothes. Personality: Katima is a battle-loving, vampire slaying pain-in-the-butt. Her battle antics frustrates the others to no end. Playing with her prey until they beg to be killed, Katima does it, and mercilessly. Hunting the vampires gives her great joy and pleasure, although, sometimes she asks herself why she is doing this. She has no motivation for the killing - she's just doing it because she is very close to Kalei, whom she looks to like a sister of sorts. But there is also Katima's vicious protective side. When either of Kalei or Tegan, whom she sees as a close brother, are threatened with no way to escape, Katima goes berserk. Her pink eyes turn blood red and she goes completely and utterly out of control. Character Snippet: " Please... please... I beg of you.... don't kill me like this...." A young pale-skinned male vampire hung from shackles in a dark room. He knew someone was there because he could see the blood pumping through her body. It made him hungry... the fresh blood of a teenage girl excited him to no end. She seemed to be throwing something from one hand to the other, almost impatiently. She was waiting... but for what? The vampire struggled in the shackles. He couldn't get loose. They were tied to his ankles and wrists as he was suspended in mid-air. He was one of the vampires that focused on speed alone. But somehow, this wench had captured him, and easily for that matter. He struggled more. " There's no use..." a cold young female voice came from the outline of veins that he could see. In the darkness, he could just make out pink-red eyes. They looked like they belonged to one of his brethren - maybe she was a half-breed - half human, half vampire. He spat at her feet. He then screamed. A searing hot pain scorched his legs. His screams were begging for an escape... for death. He'd gone through this torture for three days straight. She had kept him supplied with blood, but only so much that he was weakened and was on the cusp of life and death. " You... half-breed...." he growled through the pain as the burning subsided. The girl walked towards him, her clothes softly fluttering as she approached him. He could make out long pink hair and a smirk exactly like the one his master gives when something amuses him, or when he hides something. " Who said I was a half-breed?" He could know make out her whole figure. She was a rather tempting piece of work. Her cold pink-red eyes caught his gaze and locked it to her. " You would be just itching to suck me dry... wouldn't you?" she sneered, circling him. That cold, tempting tone was driving him insane. He struggled against the shackles, her words like injections of lust. She smiled and dug her fingernails into her neck, breaking the skin a little, allowing blood to trickle down her neck. The male vampire went berserk - a sort of bloodlust activated by the scent of the life-giving liquid. The shackles clattered and clanged as he tried to get free - desiring even a dribble of fresh blood from a still-living body. She inched closer. The racket made by the shackles was deafening. All he wanted was a drop of her blood before he died - which he knew she was most certainly going to do, and soon. She came within range of his wild thrashes. He caught her by the shoulders and was about to suck her dry when he felt the stake being driven through his heart. His whole body stiffened as the image of her smiling faded from his memory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Kalei opened the door to the torture room to see Katima give the corpse a good kick, making it flip over. Katima had been sent to get information out of a young male vampire they had captured. It was a war after all, and taking prisoners was all part of the game. Kalei noticed the dry blood on Katima's neck. Katima looked up at Kalei who was glaring coldly at her neck. " So I nearly got bitten... big deal..." Kalei growled. It was a big deal. If Katima had been bitten... then.... Kalei shuddered to think. " I'm not going to scold you like you're a child, but I am going to say this - if you get bitten, I will hunt you down... and kill you."
8. DragonLore Chapter 1
Piercing screams of a black wyvern thundered overhead. A baby?s cry echoed through the empty wooden hut. A bulky, bearded man crashed through the wooden door and tumbled towards the baby?s cradle. Fire spewed forth from the sky, onto the dry land, starting a wildfire around the hut. The man stood up. His dark eyes glistened as the fire raged uncontrollably outside. The baby cried again, sensing the danger is was in. The knight strode forward, towering over the cradle to look inside. A baby girl with pale silver eyes and a tuft of black hair on her head squirmed around inside the cradle. ? She has no one left?damn you Ilthazar?? the knight cursed under his breath. He scooped the baby girl into his muscular arms and dashed out of the now burning hut. Another piercing war cry from above quickened the knight?s sprint. A sharp whoosh of air from behind caused him to fall forward into brush at the edge of the forest that surrounded the hut. Smoke wafted through the air, making it almost unbreathable. The knight clutched the baby girl in his arms tightly as he watched the wyvern circle above them like a vulture. A few tense minutes passed and the wyvern wheeled around and headed south, away from the knight and the baby. He sighed heavily, relieved that thing was gone?for the moment at least. He looked at the baby. She was so quiet when the wyvern was circling above, almost like she knew it was dangerous. He clambered out of the brush and slowly walked away from the burning hut. The image of the knight walking into the forest with the baby in his arms faded into darkness.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Soon after, another image appeared. Two young children, barely five years of age, were playing hide-and-seek in a magnificent garden, full of green leafy trees and beautifully coloured flowers. Rarities of every kind surrounded the children, their sweet scents wafting into air. One of the children, a young girl, was counting to ten while her friend, a young boy, hid behind an old weeping willow beside a stream that ran through the garden. The young girl lifted her head up from resting it on her hands as she finished counting. Her black hair swished around as she turned quickly to look for her friend. Her pale silver eyes scanned the garden for any trace of him. ? Come out, come out, wherever you are!? she called into the garden. She sprinted over to the fountain and then to the garden bed full of lilies. The girl looked around, utterly perplexed at where her friend might be. After a few minutes of silence, a small smile spread across her face. She held out her hand, palm facing upwards, whispered words that didn?t sound real and a tiny black and purple thing in the shape of a flame appeared in her palm. She leant close to it and whispered something to it. It zoomed off after she finished and pelted around the garden, apparently looking for something. It passed the fountain and the garden bed of lilies in a flash and finally stopped at the weeping willow beside the running stream and bopped up and down happily. The young girl sprinted over to tree and looked behind it. ? Ha ha! I found you!? she said happily. The boy came out from behind the tree looking rather unamused. ? That?s not fair! I said no magic!? he said as if he had repeated it a thousand times before. His green eyes looked at his friend as he flicked his dark brown hair out of his face. The young girl poked her tongue out at him and ran off, laughing. The boy ran after her. Before long, two grown men, one considerably older than the other, appeared in the garden. The older one walked with the aid of a staff while the other stood straight and proud. They looked over to the children and beckoned them to join them. ? Come now you two, that?s enough play for now. It?s time you both go back to your lessons,? the older man said, stroking his very white beard. His eyes were stern and the wrinkles on his face were creased into a frown. ? Oh?can?t we just play a little bit more? Please?? the young boy pleaded. ? Please?? the young girl repeated. The younger man looked over to his older counterpart. ? Let them play for the rest of the day. They?ve been unusually good these past few days,? he said, looking at the children with a raised eyebrow. They smiled angelically at the two men but underneath, they knew that the smiles were smirks. The older man stroked his beard again and then sighed. ? I suppose they could play for the rest of the day as long as they behave, otherwise it is back to lessons!? the old man said sternly, pointing a long stick-like finger at them. ? We promise we?ll be good!? the girl promised and then ran off with the boy not far behind. That image faded.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A slash of a twin sword rang in the darkness and sliced it open to reveal an image of a teenage boy and a teenage girl who had swords in their hands. The girl?s long black hair swished around her as she moved into a defensive position. ? Let?s go. I want a real fight,? she taunted him. The boy drew himself to his full height. His body was well-built and muscular while the girl?s was slender and fluid in motion. His eyes were emerald green while her eyes were pure silver. ? So, you don?t want me to go easy on you?? the boy asked his friend. ? Never,? she replied with determination. She moved the sword to above her head, its tip facing the boy. He smiled and attacked her with a sword of his own. He swung it in an arc at the girl?s head. The sword crashed into the ground. The boy lifted his sword up, the tip touching the ground. The girl had disappeared. He stood there frozen, listening intently. A flutter of a shirt caught his attention. He quickly moved his sword to above his head. Suddenly, the girl appeared and landed with her feet on the sword?s blade, pointing her sword?s tip at his throat. She smiled. ? Is that all you?ve got?? ? You wish!? The boy wrenched his sword upwards. The girl flipped backwards and landed on the ground, using her sword to balance her landing. ? That?s more like it,? she said approvingly. She charged at her friend. The sound of swords clashing echoed through that garden that was in the image in darkness before a ball of flame hurtled closer and closer before engulfing a young man in flame. He was in his early twenties, had dark brown hair and emerald green eyes - the same one in the last two moving images. His painful, blood-curdling scream shattered the dream into a thousand dark glittering pieces.
OOC: This is only part of Chapter 1 of a story of mine called DragonLore. It does continue, but for now, this is only what I want to post. Constructive comments would be appreciated.
9. So... Stormwind had fallen.... Kirra had felt rather sad at the fact that three races had been wiped out. The Dwarves and Gnomes... such a stout and hard-working race. And the Tauren... old, wise and powerful. Three great races' cities had been wiped out. It seemed unfair. She swirled what little drink she had left in her cup. She pitied Thrall, the warchief of the Horde. He was a proud orc, and would blame himself for the Forsaken's possession of his forces. Kirra had met the warchief once on a scouting mission. Ever since then, she admired his strength and the kind and compassionate way he commanded his people. Turning to Renjin who was looking her up and down, Kirra started up a conversation about the Horde. " Renjin... what do you think of Thrall, the Horde's warchief?" she asked, being totally serious. She kept swilling the tiny bit of drink around the bottom of her cup. Renjin looked confused, wondering where this question came from. " Well, I don't know much about him. But one thing I do know is that I respect him and the fact that he doesn't want to fight against the Alliance. But what the Forsaken are doing to his men, he cannot really help their actions." Kirra nodded. She looked back at the wooden bar. She traced the rim of her cup with her long index finger. " I admire the way how strong his personality is and the way he leads his people in a caring and compassionate way, something that you don't associate the Orcs with. I have had the priveledge of meeting him once on a scouting mission. He was very kind to me. We talked to each other the night we met and he told me a little of his past. He has been through many hardships. Do you know what his name means?" Renjin shook his head. " No, I don't." Kirra looked at her glass she held. " It means slave. The human that brought him up gave him that name." She looked at Renjin. He seemed surprised at how favourably she talked about the Orcs. Looking away, she smiled to herself. Her complexity had surfaced once again. " Well... I should be going....I must get some sleep before my next duty is," Kirra said as she stood. She thanked the bartender for the drinks. Then she turned to Renjin. " It was nice to meet you. I hope we can talk again." She held out her hand for him to shake. Renjin took it gratefully. He smiled a small smile. The bartender looked at them for a moment and smiled to himself. Kirra walked out of the bar, a sly smile on her face. She headed back to her quarters where she could get some rest before her next guard. Meanwhile, back at the bar, Renjin sat there, still drinking. The bartender finished wiping the glass and came over to Renjin, smiling. " She's a stunner, isn't she?" he said, watching Renjin's reaction. Renjin looked up at the bartender, his eyes narrowing. " She is. Does she come here often?" " Every night, after her guard shift is over." " Really..." " I'd want to be careful with her." Renjin looked the bartender in the eyes. " Why?" The bartender smiled. " She has a habit of playing tricks on the men that try to seduce her." Renjin's eyebrow arched. " Is that so?" A sudden feeling of fire rushed through his whole body. He suddenly felt hot, and thirsty. He started to sweat. He wiped his brow, droplets of perspiration dripped down his neck. Renjin wondered what the hell was happening to him. The bartender laughed. " Feeling hot?" " What?" Renjin looked at the bartender with almost murderous intent. The bartender was still smiling. " I asked if you were feeling hot. If you are wondering what's happening to you, the answer is Kirra. When she shook hands with you, she put a powdered poison onto your body. That specific poison is absorbed through the skin through your pores. It's a harmless poison, not intended to kill, but it is used to make the one who is poisoned feel uncomfortable - so uncomfortable that they have to seek out the person who poisoned them in the first place for the antidote. You're lucky she didn't give you a more deadly poison. Take that as a good thing." Renji breathed in deeply, concentrating, trying to control the feeling of being overwhelmingly hot. So... this was the infamous Kirra of the Shadow Hunters' tricks? Renjin smiled to himself. I suppose I'll have to go to her to get the antidote.... I don't expect this prank to be the last...
10. Name: Kirra (meaning Dark Lady) of the Shadow Hunters Age: 25 Race: Night Elf Gender: Female Appearance: See first attachment for clothes. Kirra is like any other Night Elf - her dark purple coloured skin, her glistening dark blue hair and her dark purple-red lips. The only thing that differs Kirra from any other Night Elf are her eyes - they are platinum silver. Normally, Night Elves have reflective blue-silver eyes. However, Kirra's eyes are purely silver. They gleam with such an intensity, they are the only things you can see of her at night. Class: Rouge Weapon/s: 1. One-handed katana called 'Thane' - see second attachment Kirra uses this katana only as a last resort. She is extremely efficient in using it, so efficient that an enemy that is shown this katana never sees it again. 2. One-handed dagger called 'Kayden' - see third attachment This one-handed dagger is used when Kirra is involved with close hand-to-hand battle. The serrated edges gives the weapon a bit more sting. If the opponent is able to dodge the main blade, the serrated edges may be able to nick the enemy. And that is deadly. The blade is covered in a poison that most Night Elves are immune to. It is a poison that is made from the Tree of Eternity and is only used by the Shadow Hunters. 3. Throwing daggers - see fourth attachement These daggers are the most used weapon of Kirra's array. These can be used from any position in a battle - from afar or close range. Each blade is covered in the same poison as the one-handed dagger. Spells/Abilities: Shadow Copy: This ability creates duplicates of Kirra except as shadows. They moved around only on a two-dimensional way, like shadows do. They are able to aid Kirra in an ambush, a distraction or an actual attack. Shadow Dance: This ability creates 1-5 shadows on a third-dimensional status. This spell causes Kirra to go into somewhat of a berserker mode. The shadows whirl around her in some sort of devilish dance. Doing this makes Kirra go more and more into the berserk mode. Once she is fully there, not many things can stop her. Personality: Kirra is one of the more complex Night Elves around. Her personality is somewhat... challenging to try to get used to. Most of the time, Kirra is fairly down-to-earth. She takes her role in the community very seriously. A Shadow Hunter is a scout/protector of the Night Elven community. It is their job to give warning of advancing forces, and if the forces are small enough, to engage in combat until reinforcements arrive. However, when's she not on duty, she enjoys a drink with her sisters (not blood related, just her comrades) and, rarely, a flirt with any good-looking male that comes along. But her favourite past-time is to use her abilities to play tricks on anyone that isn't wary enough, especially any non-Night Elven people that come through the community. Character Snippet: Night had enveloped the mountain on which the Night Elves lived upon. Kirra, one of the Shadow Hunters, was on duty. She slipped through the shadows, only able to be seen by other Shadow Hunters. There had been rumours that a group of Satyrs had been causing havoc around the south-western area. When the guard had changed, Kirra had resolved to find these Satyrs before they destroyed any of the outlying Moonwells. It was a half moon that night. Kirra had stopped momentarily to look at its shining silver face. Her silver eyes glistened as the moonlight made them glow intensely. But her stop was brief. Soon she was flitting from shadow to shadow, tracking down these Satyrs. She found them minutes later. A group of about five of the half-human, half-goat creatues sat around a small carcasse, all with their bellies full. They had devoured a young deer that had strayed away from the herd. Its unfortunate fate was to be captured by these merciless animals. Kirra watched them talk amongst themselves in a gruff, unsophiscated language. She was well hidden in a shadow of a tree, her Night-Elven Shadow-Melding technique working wonders. A small breeze whipped up. Kirra had carefully placed herself downwind from the Satyrs, unlucky for her because their stench was sickening. She made careful mental notes on which way the wind was heading, just in case she needed to move herself. Watching them for a few more minutes, Kirra decided that she had studied each of their habits long enough to know how they'd react to a surprise attack. THWACK! One Satyr sunk to the ground, a throwing dagger penetrated deep into his forehead. The others looked stupidly confused before it dawned upon them that they were under attack. THWACK! Another Satyr sunk to the ground, again a throwing dagger in his forehead. The two larger ones looked around in fury, trying to work out where the attacks were coming from. At the moment, the moonlight was the only thing stopping Kirra from really attacking. But that was about to change. A large band of clouds moved across the moon, making it completely dark. This was a perfect opportunity, and it was not to be wasted. RIIIIIIP! THUD! One of the larger Satyrs slumped to the ground, a large gapping slash through his chest. It looked like a serrated blade made the incision. The other two flailed their weapons around wildly in some hope of catching the agressor. RIIIIIIIP! THUD! The smaller of the two remaining Satyrs collapsed to the ground, the same gapping slash through his chest. Now only one remained, the largest of them all. He looked around with his mean red eyes. He snorted in fury and looked around wildly, hoping to catch a glimpse of the attacker. The clouds parted for a few seconds.... and the last Satyr saw Kirra coming at him like a Grim Reaper. She had unsheathed her katana, Thane, and released its carnage upon the Saytr. The last thing he remember was her glowing silver eyes.

Growing up in a country full of colour and life, Reyna is a happy, energetic, sometimes impulsive girl. She would happily dance a night away with friends, under the stars in the streets during a fiesta. Romance and companionship to her is a topic that Reyna doesn?t like to touch on. Although she loves to have an innocent flirt with men, she never wants it to be taken too seriously. Although she shys away from relationships, she has never lost that dream of meeting her ?prince? one day. However, she is not a dumb bimbo, nor is she a genius. Her intelligence, wits and cunning were able to get her through many tough situations in the past, and very likely the future as well. When things get serious, Reyna becomes serious. When the situation calls for it, Reyna will try to use her abilities to their potential without any witnesses. But, she has been caught on one or two occasions because of her habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Personal History: Reyna grew up in the middle-class section of Barcelona. She and her family ? her mother and father and her two younger sisters ? lived in a small two-storey townhouse. It was fairly small but they managed to make everything fit Her parents worked very hard to get Reyna and her two sisters into the best possible schools they could afford. She passed school with very good grades and got accepted into one of the best universities in Spain. There, she is doing a Major in Ancient Literature, studying and deciphering ancient texts. It was in university when Reyna discovered her abilities as a ribbon user. She always had a fascination with ribbons, especially the ones the same colour as her hair. Although she prefers ribbons the same colour as her hair, she is able to manipulate any ribbon to become as strong as steel or as sharp as a razor. She can lengthen or shorten the ribbon to suit her needs. This ability is very useful as it is able to constrict enemies, aid allies and be used as some sort of rope system, able to support her full weight in mid-air. 12. Jace came bursting out of the door, running straight into Vincent. She knocked both of them to the floor. ? Ow, shit!? ? Sorry Vincent,? Jace said as she stood up, hoisting him up with her. To Vincent, she looked quite flustered. Her hair was a mess and she covered her neck with one hand. ? I was walking past and I heard you and the Master arguing. Is it something serious?? Vincent asked, crossing his arms. ? Serious? you could say that,? Jace replied, purposely dodging the question. Vincent didn?t look too impressed by the answer. To be honest, Jace didn?t really believe what Master Zindell had told her and shown her, but it was plainly evident that she was half-Angel, just like everyone else in the Hunters at this present time. ? Vincent? did you know both your parents?? she asked, straightening up, still hiding the brand on her neck. ? No? I never knew my father?? Vincent replied, wondering where this was going. ? Just like me?? Jace muttered. So my father was the angel Lucifer. I thought he was allied with the Devil. Why would the Angels of God have mortal children here on Earth? Why? It doesn?t make sense. Unless? the Tower of Fate has something to do with it? Vincent looked at Jace. Something had ruffled her beyond comprehension. He had never seen her like this, no one had. Something must have happened very major to have her this distracted. ? I ask again Jace, is it something serious?? Vincent asked, looking down at her. ? You are curious aren?t you? You know what they say? curiosity killed the cat? but in this case, it will cause you great pain?? Jace replied. ? Tell me.? ? Fine. Follow me.? The two walked down to the training facility underneath the Mansion. They stood in a wooden-panelled room, opposite each other. Jace looked at Vincent. He was determined to know what was happening. I hope this shocks him as much as it shocked me. She let her hand drop from her neck, the brand still glowing like fire upon her neck. Vincent noticed it immediately. ? What?s that on your neck?? ? This is the brand of the Sun. When pressured correctly, it appears. This brand is the symbol of Lucifer?s mortal child,? Jace said, looking Vincent in the eyes. She knew this wouldn?t make much sense. ? Brand? Lucifer? Mortal child? Jace, have you got a fever or something? Lucifer is an angel.? ? Exactly.? Before Vincent could do anything, Jace raced towards him and jabbed his neck where Master Zindell jabbed hers. Vincent doubled over, coughing and wheezing. He held his throat, trying to regain his breathing pattern. When he recovered, he looked up. ? What? was that for?? ? Look at your neck.? Jace held up a small mirror she normally carried for surveillance purposes. Vincent looked himself in the mirror. In the exact same position where Jace?s Sun brand was, a Moon brand appeared. ? What?s this?? he asked. ? I?m guessing that?s the Moon brand. You are the mortal child of the Angel of the Moon ? Gabriel,? Jace answered. ? WHAT!? ? Touch your neck like this. Be ready for a lot of pain.? Jace touched the Sun brand and immediately her dark feathered wings sprouted out of her shoulders from her back. It was less painful than the first time, but still enough to make her growl in agony. Vincent started to back away as Jace moved her shoulders around, trying to adjust to the weight of the wings. ? Touch your neck Vincent, and it?ll prove what I?m saying.? ? No way!? Vincent instinctively touched it. OOC: Kamuro, you can post having your wings coming out. All the others, return to the mansion asap so Jace can reveal this secret.
13. OOC: This is before Xy's post. Zane looked around very very confused. All of the sudden, the situation had changed dramatically. The beautiful Spanish woman and the two hunky-looking men all had weapons out and wee charging. Then there were these giant ogre-looking things. They had red skin and bared their yellowing fangs. Unsheathing his sword with one hand and unholstering his gun in the other hand, Zane soon stood ready for the fight. One of the men fired at him, his gun a powerful semi-automatic. Zane dived behind the sofa, leaving an illusion of himself getting killed where he once stood. He pushed his purple-lensed sunglasses up his nose before looking at the man who walked towards the illusion of Zane?s dead body cautiously. His hair went all spiky and his eyes narrowed greatly to bare slits. Leaping up behind the man, Zane quickly spun him around, making him look in his demonic eyes. At once, he started to scream uncontrollably, holding his head with his hands. Zane then ran his sword through him, making sure it went all the way up to the hilt. The man?s eyes were bare slits before he reappeared as his normal form ? a wisp-looking fox creature. Its red eyes were screaming in agony before it exploded in a puff of red smoke. ? A kitsune is it? So that?s what they were,? Zane said to himself, his eyes still demonic. He looked at his sword that had no blood on it whatsoever. He turned to the others, making sure he didn?t make eye contact with them. ? Ima, Camilla, Raven. Those two men are kitsunes. They are little fox wisps that can transform into anything they wish. Kill them before you kill the ogres!? The three women nodded. Zane turned to the red-skinned ogres. ? Your turn.? ------------------------------------------------------- Using her Viper blades, Raven spun around, beheading one red-skinned ogre as it charged her. She quickly changed weapons ? sheathing her swords and bringing out her two guns. Firing them into the ever-oncoming wave of ogres, Raven heard Zane?s warning. She nodded in agreement. ? Camilla, Ima. Take those two guys out now!? A swinging club came Raven?s way. She back flipped, the club barely missing her. Landing, she brought her guns up and shot the ogre fair between the eyes. The ogre slumped to the ground with a great thud. Then Raven heard something. Making her way to the balcony, she looked down. There were emergency vehicles everywhere. No doubt someone would have heard the ruckus the Zodiacs had been making. ? Everyone! We have company! Lets make this quick!? Raven shouted over the noise, dodging another swinging club coming her way.

15. Raven stood underneath the eve, watching the storm take out its fury on the city below. Sharp gusts of winds knocked the tall building. Big booms of thunder echoed through the CBD, rebounding off all of the skyscrapers, increasing in volume every time. Raven?s muscles tightened. Her eyes glowed intense neon yellow. She looked like a vampire, standing there with her arms crossed in front of her, her black leather trenchcoat fluttering out behind her, her hair drifting in the wind. Rain poured down. There was minor flooding in all the streets below. The sky cried for her? for her loss. ----------------------------------------- Zane looked at Ima and Camilla then back at the storm, wondering if the others were all right. Slight trickles of sweat dribbled down the side of his head. The strain of keeping these illusions up and moving was a hard task, harder than he had predicted. Moving his purple-lensed sunglasses up his nose, Zane moved towards the door. There had been a slight knock. He opened it. A beautiful young woman stood there. She was quite dazzling ? a typical Spanish beauty. Longs locks of black hair, big soft brown eyes, large dark red lips. Zane was quite shocked to see her standing there in a slinky black formal dress. His dark blue eyes narrowed. ? Can I help you?? he asked kindly but cautiously. ? Sorry to intrude,? she said in a very warm voice with a hint of a Spanish accent, ? But I?ve been locked out of my room. I?m right next-door. Could I use your phone to get some help?? Zane looked over her curiously, then sighed. ? Fine. The phone?s over there.? The Spanish beauty entered to the surprise of Ima and Camilla. Zane shut the door behind her entering and walked over to the other Zodiacs, explaining the situation. ? Something?s not right about her,? Camilla warned, keeping an eye on the woman. ? I agree. She seems?. too perfect,? Ima added. ? I don?t sense anything malicious from her. Are you two jealous?? Zane taunted. ? Who said anything about being jealous?? Ima growled, unimpressed about the joke. ? Anyway, it has to be a woman thing, right Ima?? Camilla suggested. Ima nodded in agreement. Zane just shook his head and was about to sit down when there were two knocks on the door. ? We?ll get it Zane. We don?t want another maiden-in-distress story,? Ima jeered. Zane sat down with a look that could kill. Ima and Camilla walked to the door and opened it to find two very handsome men standing there. They said that the elevator had broken down and were wondering if they could stay. Ima and Camilla were dazzled by these men and let them in. Zane shook his head and sighed. ? So much for that?? ----------------------------------------- The storm slowly subsided. Raven had grown rather exhausted after three hours of sustaining the massive storm. Her eyes grew back to their normal grey blue colour. In the clearing rain, she saw something very strange jump from a building across the road to the hotel. It was ogre-like in shape and size. Her eyes narrowed. ? Shit!? Morphing herself into her raven form, she fluttered down to the Zodiacs room to see a very strange sight. There was three wisp looking creatures inside, and it looked like they were conversing with Zane, Camilla and Ima. The wisps were in the shapes of foxes. ? What the hell?? The great hulking masses she had seen earlier, were lurking around in the room. Raven landed on the balcony and morphed back into normal form. She tried to open the sliding doors to get into the room but they were locked. Taking out her gun, she shot at the glass, shattering it instantly. She stepped inside, her gun still drawn. ? What the hell are you guys doing?? OOC: Up to you Ozy.
16. OOC: Sorry about the absence guys. University exams take it out of you. But I'm finished for the semester. ^_^ Jace sliced an oncoming demon in perfect halves with relative ease. Ikarugi and Matthew were close by, taking out as many demons as they could. Vincent and Caleb were also close by. Nuca and Phoenix were making their way through the sea of claws and fangs. " All right... that's it... you've really pissed me off now," Jace growled. " Come to Mama you bitches!" The demon army was lessening. There was light at the end of the tunnel. Lightning blinded them, thunder rumbled in their ears. This definitely was some sort of apocalypse. Soon than Jace thought, there was nothing left of the army of demons that had tried to enter the underground Caverns of Carden City via a tunnel entrance on the west side. Luckily, the Hunters received eyewitness reports of their oncoming and were there to meet them. All the Hunters gathered around, panting heavily with demonic blood splattered all over their bodies. Jace breathed in deeply before sighing. " Well done all. I'm sure Master Zindell will be pleased with our minor victory against the demonic plague. Since there are no more threats to the Cavern's safety for now, we will inform the city's inhabitants that we have won this minor victory. Let them celebrate this victory, since we have had nothing to celebrate in quite a while. Join in the festivities if you wish because you, too, are also inhabitants of this city," Jace said, wiping the demonic blood off her katana before sheathing it. Her cold grey eyes displayed no emotion over the victory they had just achieved, however, her eyes rarely betrayed her feelings. In the distance, the ominous Tower of Fate stood there looming over the battlefield from whence the Hunters came from. Jace scanned over the building's structure. It was once a magnificent skyscraper project that had brought an inventive marvel to the world stage. Now, it was the remnants of a once prosperous race. Even more amazing was the fact that it still stood even though all other buildings around it collapsed from the endless war with the demons. But, there were rumours that the now called Tower of Fate was inhabitant of demons of a power kind in the mid-level. The lower level consisted of the demons the Hunters had just slain, except more numerous with various species among them. In the very top level, rumours of Angels of God existing there flew around like wildfire. However, Jace dismissed this as ludicrous. If there ever was a God, he would have spared the human race the torment and destruction of the demons. Silently turning, she started to walk down the tunnel's entrance, passing through the alloy titanium-iron gates, allowing all of the Hunters to pass through before locking it shut. The tunnel was pitch-black and rocky, however, every one of the Hunters knew all paths to the outside world like the back of their hands. It was required in case of an emergency, or something to that accord. Following down the dark paths, Jace followed the rest of the Hunters. All of them today, had proven their worthiness in battle. Master Zindell would be pleased with the progress of his Hunters. Master Zindell, otherwise known as Marco Zindell, was the man who started the Hunters many years ago when the first demons arrived on this plane. Now there was no end to them. He was beginning to age quite gracefully now, being at an age of 64. But there was no surpassing him in knowledge of the demonic world, nor the abilities of all the Hunters, from past to present. He taught each of the Hunters personally from the day they joined the ranks. His skill with any weapon was quite masterful, and even if you had mastered the techniques he had taught you, you were never able to beat him in a mock battle. Half an hour had passed since the Hunters began their return trip to Little Carden, or so the city in the Cavern had been named. The city was lit with flaming torches and a strange fluorescent glow from a special fungi. This fungi provided the outer fields with the substitute for sunlight for the crops. It was a scientific marvel how the crops reacted to this strange light. Now, the Hunters had now arrived on the outskirts of the modest city. Children ran out to meet them, all in awe of the Hunters who were heroes in their starry eyes. Adults of all ages came out of their houses or away from their work to hear what the Hunters had to say about the battle. Hence, a great procession proceeded. All the city folk gathered in the Great Circle, the meeting place between the populace and the Hunters. Jace then delivered the message that they had returned triumphant and allow celebrations to begin. She warned that no one is to violate any laws while this celebration is occurring and be wary at all times. Then she turned to her comrades and gave a small smile. " You have a choice. You may stay here and join in the celebrations, or return to the Mansion. Whichever you decide, you may do without punishment. I will be returning to the Mansion to deliver the news to Master Zindell. If you decide to stay here, please do return to the Mansion sometime. I don't want to have to send out a search party to find some drunk." With that, Jace left. ---------------------------------------------------- Pushing the gigantic ebony doors open, Jace walked into the foyer of the Mansion. The Mansion was the headquarters of the Hunters ever since they began. The first Hunters built the walls, the halls and the rooms themselves. Their history was depicted throughout the Mansion, in hope that someone in the future would write down their achievements in this shadow of a world. The Mansion was split into three sections, one underground. The upper floor was were the Hunters' rooms and bathrooms were, plus the Library. The ground floor was the dining hall, the great lounge, the laundry and the kitchen. Lastly, the underground level was the training facility. There was a gym, electronic training room, target range and other facilities to enhance the Hunters' abilities. Jace walked up the Grand Staircase to the upper level, heading for Master Zindell's room. Upon arriving at the door, she knocked on them softly. " Come in," came a smooth elderly voice from the other side. Jace opened the door and entered, seeing Master Zindell standing, silhouetted against the window. She gave a slight nod in respect before delivering the report on the battle and various Hunters' statistics. Zindell turned to Jace who stared at him with her emotionless face. he gave a small smile. " Your generation of Hunters, Jace, are extremely special," Zindell said, sitting down in a chair. " In times past, the Hunters would have had a rather difficult time dispensing the amount of demons your generation has swatted so quickly. It only took them, what, about three hours to defeat over 5000 demons?" Jace stood there. " Yes sir." Zindell smiled to himself. " As I thought. Your generation far surpasses any previous generation, including my own. Five generations of Hunters. That's quite a marvel in such a short time." He chuckled. Jace stood there. Zindell normally didn't speak in riddles, however, this time, he was cautious in what he said. " Sir, I believe it is a ripe time to start our assault on the Tower of Fate. Rumours have been flying around in the city folk about what live in the most upper level. I heavily doubt that angels of God reside there." " You may be right Jace," Zindell said as he looked up at her with mysteriously sparkling eyes. " But then again, you are cynical, are you not?" Jace decided not to answer. " As I thought," Zindell sighed. " However, you shouldn't rule out the possibility that they may exist. Just because you don't believe in such things, don't necessary mean that they don't exist Jace. Remember that well." Jace's eyes narrowed. He was slowly, ever so slowly, coming to a point. She decided to egg him on. " So, you are saying that there are angels atop this building? What bullshit. I'll repeat what I thought earlier today. If there was a God, he would have spared the human race the torment and destruction of the demons." Zindell laughed. " Jace, sometimes, seeing isn't believing." " You've said that many times old man, and yet I hardly see proof." " Then what if I were to say that I believe that your father was an Angel of God." Jace smiled. She wasn't going to fall for this one. " As if. Even though I doubt I know about him, I'd hardly think my old man would be an Angel when I was born with no extraordinary talents. Wouldn't that occur old man?" " Very well pointed out. Then can you wrap your head around this? What if I were to say that all of comrades are the same as you, that one of their parents was an Angel of God?" Zindell said finally, a serious look in his eyes. Jace almost burst out laughing. " It's true what you said previously, that my generation far surpasses any of the previous Hunter generations. But..." Suddenly Jace began serious. " ... we have grown up in an environment of constant war and apocalyptic circumstances. All the other generations have had a taste of peace. We all desire to know what that is like... all of my comrades and myself." " Well spoken. However, I know factually that every one of your comrades' are half Angel, including yourself." Jace's eyes narrowed suspiciously. " I don't believe what you are saying old man." Zindell stood up, a fire smouldering in his eyes. Jace was rarely disobedient, but at times, she was rather a hand-full. " Jace, have you ever wondered what the two curious scars on each of your shoulder blades have been from? No doubt you've had these from since birth. When you were born, you were born with a set of wings, and 'extraordinary talents' as you so put it. God has done something to save the struggling human race. He has given us you and your comrades, the Hunters, half Angel Hunters." Jace took a step back. " How can you expect me to believe such ridiculous accusations?? ? Whether or not you believe it Jace, it is the truth, and nothing can change that. Neither can it change your comrades. For now, you must accept what you are before you tell the others.? ? Prove it! Prove that I?m half Angel!? Jace shouted at him in disbelief. Zindell glared at her before confronting her. Quicker than Jace could see, Zindell stabbed her with two fingers on one of her neck muscles. It hurt so much Jace gripped her throat and coughed, her oesophageus being hit in the wrong spot. When she stopped coughing, she removed her hand and, in the reflection of a nearby mirror, saw a small sun symbol on her neck. Without Zindell to instruct her, she touched it curiously. That was what he wanted her to do. A searing hot pain ran down those two scars on Jace?s shoulder blades. She screamed. It was the most intense pain she had ever felt before. Her shoulder blades felt like they were piercing through her skin. Soon, two dark wings emerged from her back, dripping with a little blood from being stored inside her body. The dark glossy feathers ruffled as Jace awkwardly stood up, feeling the weight on her back. She quickly looked in the mirror and saw the wings. ? That is the brand of the sun ? the Angel who governs the sun?s powers ? Lucifer,? Zindell said, looking at her horrified look. ? Only his chosen mortal child bears that brand and wields his powers.? ? No? no? you are lying?? ? You wanted proof? It is there, right in front of you.? The wings soon moved back into Jace?s body, leaving her physically exhausted. Her two scars were now red hot and dribbling with blood. Zindell walked up behind her. ? Tell the others when you are ready.? OOC: You can either stay and party, or return to the mansion.

18. Kei laughed so hard that tears were coming out of her eyes. ? Ahh? well done Ashlyn.? Emory pulled Pat into the small boat. Alex recovered from laughing. ? Now, shall we go?? Ashlyn asked, becoming a little stern. Pat gave her a sidewards glance before nodding. The boat jerked forward, gliding across the surface like an ice-skater would on ice. The mist earlier had lifted slightly, although not enough to see the other side of the lake clearly. You could just make it out in the thin layers of mist. Ashlyn pulled the oars. A sudden prickling feeling ran all the way down Kei?s spine. She shivered. Something didn?t feel right. The air? something about the air was wrong? it seemed ? ancient. She looked around. The air almost sparkled with some strange substance. Her eyes narrowed slightly. It was the same feeling as last time, when she met this group for the first time. She had met Alex earlier, but the others, this was the exact same feeling she got.. ? This is getting weirder by the minute?? Kei muttered to herself softly.
19. Kira looked rather put out by the fact that her Sensei had another student. ? That is so unfair?? she mumbled, putting on a rather unamused look on her face. Chase and Aron laughed softly. Kira crossed her arms in protest, unimpressed, her mauve hair slightly falling in her face. She sank down into her blue-purple kimono slightly. ? Don?t worry about it,? Chase said, sensing her disappointment. ? I was rather shocked as well when I realised that fact.? ? Remind me when we finish this ?adventure? that we both go kill him personally,? Kira offered. Chase smiled. ? As if we could defeat him.? ? I don?t know. By the time we would have defeated our rivals, I think we?d all surpass our teacher?s expectations of our abilities.? Aron looked at them both incredulously. ? You two are very alike.? Kira raised her eyebrow. ? Hm? Me and Chase? Alike? Wha?? The two boys chuckled at her obvious ?blonde-ness?. ? I think he means that we are alike because you are a samurai, and I?m a ninja,? Chase explained. ? Oh?? Kira blushed at her own stupidity. ? So, lets talk about something a bit more serious,? Chase started, ? Aron, Kira, what were your rivals like?? Kira looked away at the question. Aron thought for a moment. ? Well? I don?t know whether I can really explain it or not, but he?s a guy you could hate? I mean absolutely loathe.? Both Chase and Kira noticed that Aron had his fists tightly clenched. ? What about you Kira?? Chase asked, turning to her. Her eyes narrowed as she remember the images from the battle. They started turning glassy and mirror-like. ? Kira?? Aron asked, now settled down. She looked up at them with her now Ryuugan eyes, her hands half covering them. Tears were leaking out of them, flowing over her hands and face. Images kept running through her mind. She couldn?t stop them. If this keeps up? I?ll ? I?ll? I?ll do what I did to Yuri? Kira scrambled to her feet and rushed out of the room, hands trying to hide her eyes. ? What did we do now? And what with those eyes?? Aron asked, irritated. Chase?s eyes narrowed. ? Don?t be judgemental Aron. Her eyes? it?s a technique that is passed down through the family. If she had any siblings, they might also have it. It?s called the Ryuugan. It means Dragon Eyes. They are able to see through any attack and ultimately find its weakness.? ? Wow? that?s amazing!? Aron said. Chase shook his head. ? There is one drawback though. If you aren?t powerful or skilful enough to control it, it can control you and make you go mad. It?s a killer technique, ultimately used to kill. I think?I think something?s happened that she?s not telling us.? Garrek grumbled and rolled over. ? Would you two go to sleep?!? ------------------------------------------------ In the morning? The three boys woke that morning. Feeling refreshed, they wandered out to the dining room to have breakfast. Kira was sitting at a table, eating some fruit, muesli and yoghurt. Her mind seemed miles away as they joined her with their own meals. ? I wonder when the others are going to meet us here?? Aron wondered. ? Mm. I wonder,? Garrek added. ? Perhaps we should stay here for a few more days. Try and regain our strength back.? ? Possibly talk about some things that have happened over the last few days,? Chase added, the comment directed at Kira. However, the desired effect of the comment didn?t happen. She just kept on eating as if she was in a trance. Chase sighed. ? Well? I guess we should enjoy ourselves. And we promise no more peeking.?
20. Hunters of the Apocalypse: A Predetermined Fate The Apocalypse It?s the year 2100. The world is on the verge of becoming totally engulfed in darkness. In this day and age, demons run the world. They control everything ? from the world?s economy to the world?s natural resources. They have massacred millions of people and destroyed whole cities, leaving humans with no power and no hope. But how did this happen? Not long ago, about 75 years, cultists all around the world began to gather and summon things from the depths of Hell. Monsters of all shape and form rose to the Earthly plane and began to wreak havoc. The more powerful demons were able to transform into human form and infiltrate our society. With a growing power behind them, they soon rose to the top ranks of the world, assuming some of the most powerful positions in companies and countries. From then on, mankind began to fall. At the present, mankind is a dying species. Demons have wiped most of the population out. The survivors have all migrated to a place called Carden City. Only 10 million of us still remain. Some of those who still remain, are called Hunters. The Hunters Hunters. These special people are the only things demons fear. The Hunters don?t know themselves why the demons fear them, but it helps them get an advantage over the beasts. All have abilities that surpass a normal human?s capabilities. With the halt of man?s advances in science twenty years ago, the Hunters use mostly combat weapons, not guns. These weapons prove to be more effective in slaying the demons than a normal handgun. Ammunition is a prized commodity among the remaining humans, be it their only defence against the demons since none know how to effectively wield any of these olden day weapons. The Hunters protect the survivors of the human race in Carden City who live in underground caverns below the city. However, there is only one obstacle that is in the way of their goal of freeing the city. The Tower of Fate. The Tower of Fate The Tower of Fate is a massive skyscraper in the centre of Carden City. It looks like a normal skyscraper except the tower was never finished. The construction equipment still stands there to this day. Its dark and commanding presence towers over the landscape, which consists mostly of half destroyed buildings and rubble. There are three layers to the Tower of Fate. First, there is the Lower Town where most of the minion demons reside. Next up is the Belt Line. This is where the most powerful demons reside. And at the very top is Eden City. No one, not demon, human or Hunter, knows who or what resides in Eden City. But, whoever lives in Eden City is rumoured to be able to control every single creature?s fate. And whoever they are, they are so powerful that they are able to cheat death and wipe out entire countries. The goal of the Hunters is to take over the Tower of Fate and converse with the creatures that controls everyone?s fate. Then, maybe, humankind might be saved. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lightning streaked across the dark, clouded sky. Thunder rumbled over the rubble landscape. Purplish-white hair danced around Jace?s shoulders as she slashed as an oncoming foe. The wind swirled around her, aiding her in her ?Dance of Death? ? technique that killed any opponent within close range with a constant defence of blades. They glimmered every time lightning crashed around them, vibrating when the thunder clapped. Jace back flipped, landing on a half crumbled pole that was jutting out in the air. The storm swirled around above her. For a few moments, she had time to see her fellow comrades, the Hunters, slaying the oncoming demon force. The ground was steaming from the dead bodies of the demons. Blood was splattered all over Jace?s body ? on her Hunter outfit, her face, her face. It even stained her purplish-white hair a dull red. A demon launched itself at her. She readied her katana, her stance neither defensive nor offensive. The demon kept coming. With a precise strike, Jace cleanly cleaved off its head, causing the body to jerk and twitch, as well as fall back to the ground. Moving quickly off the half-crumbled pole, Jace leapt down into the fray again as lightning struck the pole, causing it to explode. Dust and rubble flew everywhere, causing a dust cloud to engulf Jace and her section of demons. Coughing and spluttering, Jace kept her guard up. One? no two demons attacked amidst the chaos. ? Shit!? Jace cursed before relieving the demons of their bodily functions. Three more came. Dodging and weaving their clawed attacks, Jace managed not to get struck. Although, she thought this thought too soon. A clawed hand of a demon came from behind and grabbed her around the throat. Gagging for air, she managed to cut the hand off, it dropping to the ground. Three claw gashes now became evident in her left cheek. Blood dribbled out of it. This made the demons get more and more excited ? just the smell of human blood sent them into a frenzy. More attacked her. ? When will these bastards ever learn not to mess with a Hunter?!?!? Jace yelled as she masterfully slew the enemy in two strokes. Something caught her attention. She sniffed the air for a second before dodging another scratch attack. It was the smell of petrol. ? SHHIIIIITT!? Leaping inhumanly away from the smell, Jace only made it out of the way before lightning struck the place where the petrol was kept. An all-mighty explosion erupted and tore the landscape apart. Jace was thrown backwards against a heavy, upright slab of concrete. Her head slammed into it, making her a little dazed. Standing up, dizzy, she leant on her sword for a minute, observing the torn demon body parts around her. Steam rose from the freshly spilt blood. Jace looked around, observing her comrades. Phoenix was fighting to her direct left some distance away. Nuca, Jace?s only female comrade, was fighting to her direct right. Caleb was directly behind her. Ikraugi was diagonally to her left and Matthew was diagonally her right. Last, but not least, was Vincent who was diagonally left behind her. All six of her comrades were fighting with everything they had. Before long, though, another demon came for Jace?s blood. Jace held up her katana in that neutral stance again. ? Bring it bitch!? OOC: There you go. My first post for this RPG. All I want you to do is fight. I?ll explain more in my next post. ^_^
21. All right. Fallen, Sakura, demonchild781, Ichigo, Venge and Kamuro - you are all in. Latharix_sama, if you would like to continue with this RPG, you must edit your profile and complete it. I'll be starting this tomorrow (australian time) since I don't have much internet time left. However, Venge needs to reply to my PM to sort out who is Jupiter and who is differently. Whether they sort this out in time for tomorrow or not, I'll still be doing it. Thanks all for joining. I hope this will be a good RP for us all.
22. Raven smiled. " I'm sure I could cook you guys up something. I'll apologise in advance if I got a little overboard." Kariz, Ben and Kadar nodded. They made their way out the door as Raven informed the others of the plan. Ima, Zane and Camilla nodded and walked over to Clara, asking her what she wanted for dinner. They'd get room service. Using this as a distraction, Raven snuck out onto the balcony and managed to climb up to the rooftop. Placing herself under an eve, she momentarily watched the night stars twinkle before starting, closing her eyes in concentration. Thinking of all the sadness and anger within her, Raven slowly opened her eyes to reveal brilliant yellow eyes. Storm clouds started to gather in the sky. The winds picked up. Rain started to pelt down. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled. It was a truly severe storm. Raven had trouble keeping control and not losing herself in it for Kariz, Ben and Kadar's sake. The lights flickered in the building - the signal. Kariz, Ben and Kadar made a run for it, while Raven distracted the followers with the storm. Zane made illusions of Kadar, Ben and Kariz to make the followers think they were still there. It was an elaborate plan. ------------------------------------------- Zane watched out the windows as the storm grew more and more fierce. " Raven's certainly oudoing herself. I hope she doesn't go too far. She's got a lot of emotion in her mind right now," Zane muttered to himself. " Are you talking to yourself?" Ima asked, coming up behind him. Zane jumped. He rearranged his purple-;ensed sunglasses. " Just making some observations about the storm." Ima nodded. " I hope she doesn't exhaust herself." " Me neither." A knock on the door signalled that their meal had arrived. Zane walked over and opened the door. A waitress walked in with a trolley full of delicious Japanese food. Zane thanked her and saw her out. Shutting the door, he looked at everyone, including the illusions and smiled. " Let's eat!" Everyone tucked in. Zane watched the people/things that had followed Kadar as if he was looking out of the window, eating his ramen. I hope they get back soon. I don't know how long I can keep these illusions up, and how long Raven can keep this storm up.
23. OOC: This is before Kamuro's post by the way. Kira sat in the hot springs, feeling rather relaxed. It was lonely being the only girl. She could hear the boys next door, splashing around, being boys. Kira sighed. " Why me? Why am I always chosen to be the one who is alone?" She sunk down into the hot water so it was up to her chin. Images of Yuki and Yuri played through her mind. Tears started to flow down her cheeks. " No more... I don't want to see any more!!" she screamed. The boys across the other side suddenly stopped mucking around. " Did anyone else here Kira a second ago?" Aron asked. Chase and Garrek nodded. " Should we dare to investigate?" Chase asked. The three of them looked at each other and shrugged. They were all cautious. Carefully looking over the screen, the three peeked a look. Kira was in the centre of the pool, her head beneath the water. " KIRA!" the three of them cried. All of the sudden, the screen collapsed. Kira, hearing something crash underwater, came to the surface to see three naked men on top of the now destroyed screen. She blinked twice before raising her clenched fist. " YOU PERVERTS!!" she yelled before using her katana to send a wave of wind at them, knocking them back into their hot spring. She quickly got out of the water, wrapped a towel around her body and made her way into the changing room. The three boys surfaced. " Well... that didn't go as planned," Aron said, rubbing the back of his head innocently. Garrek and Chase looked at him as if they were going to kill. Aron noticed this, and backed away before getting jumped by the two. They continued to muck around for a while, picking on Aron. -------------------------------------- Hours later... Kira awoke to hear two voices conversing with each other. She rolled over to see Aron and Chase up, talking to each other. She couldn't make out their words. She tightened her kimono around her before sitting up and yawning. She watched them for a few more moments before joining in the conversation.

Then, maybe, humankind might be saved. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to my new RPG. This is one I?ve had in the works for a while. Everyone will be playing as Hunters, unless of course someone wants to play as a head demon or something. Now, the reason why demons fear Hunters is because they are half Angel. One of your character?s parents have to be an angel if you play a Hunter. There can be some exceptions to that, but you have to PM me with your plan of your character before I allow it. Here are the angels you can choose from: Lucifer ? The Sun ? powers undetermined ? Reiku/amgoddess Raphael ? Mercury ? powers over ice - Aniel ? Venus ? power over emotions - Gabriel ? The Moon ? power over essence (ask me about it) - Sammuel ? Mars ? power over fire - Zadkiel ? Jupiter ? power over electricity ? Zaphiel ? Saturn ? power over gravity - Ambriel ? Uranus ? power over earth ? Verchiel ? Neptune ? power over water ? Oriel ? Pluto ? power over time ? Your Hunter character will have wings although not at first. Also, all Angels are under God, even the Fallen. You can choose if your Angel parent is Fallen or not, but keep an even balance. A Fallen Angel has black or dark wings, and non-Fallen Angel has white wings. Everyone will be competing for places, so do the best you can. If you see someone else with the same angel parent, it doesn?t matter. I will be choosing who has the best sign-ups for it. Don?t be discouraged. Just do your best! ^_^ Here?s the sign-up: Name: Age: [between 19 ? 40] Gender: Angel Parent: [choose from one of the above, put Fallen or non-Fallen after their name] Appearance: [pic or well written description] Personality: [min ? 4 sentences] Short History: [min ? 4 sentences] Weapon/s: [max ? 4] [Guns are allowed but it will be hard to find the special kind of ammunition that kills demons. Choose mostly weapons like swords, knifes, throwing dagger, throwing needles, etc] Trademark Clothing: [not necessary if in your appearance. This is your Hunter outfit.] My character Name: Jace ? J ? Evangeline Age: 22 Gender: Female Angel Parent: Lucifer (the Sun) - Fallen Appearance: See attachment Personality: Jace is very boyish. Most people mistake her for a boy because of her looks and likes. She loves her black leather. She doesn?t like to be considered a goth, it?s just that she likes those things. Ever since she was a child, Jace was around boys, so she had to become tough. She used to play with them and constantly was beaten up by them. Eventually she became the rough and tumble Jace that her group, the Hunters, know. Short History: As said before, Jace grew up only knowing boys and men. Because of her looks, she was treated like a boy and taught like one. Although she knows she?s a girl, Jace like acting like a guy. She stills likes guys but it seems every one that she?s liked is turned off by her tomboyish ways. After growing up in Carden City?s underground caverns, her teacher, Darrien, gave her her weapons ? the Katana and the Two Blades. He trained her with those weapons and hand-to-hand combat. As she grew, she began to be able to beat the boys at their own games. When Jace turned 15, she heard of the special group of people that were the only ones allowed to go on the surface ? the Hunters. From then on, she trained to become one of them. At the age of 19, she joined the group. She caused some friction between some of the members because of her actions in and out of battle. However, she remained in the Hunters because of her skills. Weapon/s: See second and third attachment Trademark Clothing: Same outfit as in attachment
25. Kira stared at the flames mindlessly. It's not that she wasn't shocked and horrified at the death and destruction. It was just that she was fighting down her own fire in her mind and soul. If she couldn't quell it... well... the rest of the group may end up like Yuri - killed by her. A silent tear trickled down her cheek. Yuri... I'll get revenge for you... I'll make sure that bastard dies slowly and painfully... I'll become an avenger for you... Kira realised that there was a warm hand on her shoulder. Garrek stood there behind her, looking at the flames. She had heard the fight between him and Aron beforehand. It certainly shook the group to hear of another death. It was unfortunate that there was so much grief on the beginning of their journey. But, it gave them much more purpose to continue. " You know Garrek... it wasn't Aron's fault that Yuri died..." she said quietly. " I know it wasn't. But if he hadn't come along, then Yuri possibily would have been still alive," Garrek answered. " Let's go. Everyone else has moved on. We should be going too." Kira nodded solemnly and followed Garrek from the depressing sight of the burning town. ----------------------------------------------- The group were now walking slowly through the wilderness. Everyone was silent because all were weary and at the their limits. Rin hadn't met up with them and left markers showing her where they were heading. Kira felt rather alone, being the only girl there now. " We should find somewhere to rest Aron," Pralle spoke up. The group stopped and looked at Aron. Aron sighed. " We'd better otherwise Rin will never catch up." Kira looked around. This place looked vaguely familiar. Then she remembered. " Aron, there is hot springs nearby. We can stay there," she said. " Hot springs huh? Sounds good." ------------------------------------- A while later, Kira lowered herself into the warm spring water, a towel wrapped around her hair. Relief washed over her worn body. " Mmmm... this is so good. I hope none of those guys peek." OOC: There you go. Sorry about its shortness but I'm sure everyone can come up with something and this will be a good place to stay and wait for Rin. Also to relax and recover ^_^
