Then probably hair. I'm into guys with decently shaggy hair. And hey, a nice 'happy trail' aint bad either. :animesmil Personality. I need someone who can put up with me and my hyperactivity. I really try to calm down and talk less, but its really hard. It'd be okay if he calmed me down a bit. You gotta have a sense of humor.I am told quite often that I am hilarious. So if I can't laugh at you and vise-y ver-sy... And if you can't laugh at yourself...that kinda sucks. I also need someone understanding and willing to accept me for what I am. I love the simplest, and I guess to some, strangest little things. Like making things with my hands, watching ants and...yeah. Too much. Also, someone who can put up with my whining. Which sometimes turns to crying. Gosh...I make myself out to sound like a submissive little wimp. I guess I sorta am. Darn.
2. Does it have to be a line? Because I really like the two verses plus another from the same song in my signature. A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way Our friends would all make fun of us And we'll just laugh along because we know That none of them have felt this way Delilah I can promise you That by the time that we get through The world will never ever be the same And you're to blame And they are all from the song,"Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's. So I do have a favorite line. Times like...twenty-four.
3. I do not shop at those stores. Its not that I don't like the preppish style, I just shop at Forever 21 and Vanity and stuff. The thing about those stores is that almost everyone will own the cute shirt you see on the impossibly skinny manequin, and though the new style of layering longer tees under shorter ones and short skirts over leggings is supposed to add a little individuality, it doesn't. You still will have the same clothes as everyone, you just wear them differently. But thats just me. I personally like to play the A&F Game. Its where you try to walk through the store, touch the back wall and get back out again without an employee talking to you or asking if you need assistance. I've won 2 out of the 6 times of played.
4. I was in two small spelling bees. When I was in private school,I was the first chosen to go to an area parochial school spelling bee. I couldn't have been more than 10 years old. Of course, I did pretty bad. I think I got out on my 5th word. Then, in middle school I was in the spelling bee our school held. I sat next to my friend Chelsea, and we were wiggling our eyebrows and making faces at eachother the whole time. So, I did bad in that one too. Chelsea did really good. I think she was second runner up. Which suprised everyone because she was a "punk" and "hated school" and she almost refused to do it. So I'm not as good as you.
5. I still watch Disney movies. I actually just watched "Freaky Friday" on Saturday. I have so many favorites. Lilo and Stitch - I have the entire movie memorized. Songs, including the opening credits theme in Hawaiian, and dialouge. Hurrah me. Fox and the Hound - I would always cry when I watched this movie. When whatsherface leaves Tod (the fox) in the woods. And when his mom gets shot or whatever. Nightmare Before Christmas - I watched this all the time with my friends when I was younger. I have bad memories of watching it at a sleep-over in the 4th grade though. Mulan - I love Japan, and I just loved this movie.I remember watching it with my friend when she was sick. Beauty and the Beast - This was one of the two movies I watched at least 10 (and I am not exagerating) times a day when I was like 3. The Little Mermaid - This was the other one. I would always watch the part where Eric and Ariel would get married the most. I don't really know why. There are probably so many more I am forgetting.
6. I love That 70's Show. It kinda got out of hand when Eric left. I mean, its no show when the main guy leaves,am I right? But,I will not get any deeper.I'm not a debator. My favorite character would have to be Fez. He is totally hilarious. Then Kelso. He's kinda like a dumber, male version of me. Plus I liked the episode when Donna was trying to get Jackie to imagine what it would be like to marry him and he brings out the box of dogs. Kelso: "Honey, I got something I know will make you feel better!" Jackie: "Not a box of dogs..." Kelso: "A box of dogs!" Me and my little sister used to re-enact that at least twice a day for like a week. Kinda wierd in hindsight.
7. Well. I guess it all depends on maturity. I really love my guy friends. And half of them are a grade behind me. And they seem to be more mature than the ones my age and grade. I can actually talk to them on the phone for an hour without long, uncomfortable pauses. But thats all about brother-sister sort of love.I already made the mistake of getting "involved" with one to leave me a bitter mess for about a month. Actually the bitter got left behind. But,again, thats beside the point. If you feel comfortable with him, you can actually talk together and you don't get annoyed by him acting like a 4th grader, because he actually doesn't, go for it!
8.
Kablam. Wish granted. However, no one has a clue what you're talking about and this thread goes dead due to your wish. Thanks, buddy. I wish I could find some chapstick (that isn't poisonous, gross, or belonging to some great entity that will kill/eat/curse/harm me for having used its chapstick).
Whee! Wish granted. Its the sweetest,yummiest,never-run-out MAGICAL CHAPSTICK! Sadly, before you even get a chance to use any of it, you accidently drop it down a sewer-grate. What a darn shame. I wish that normal, clean water rain will fall for a reasonable amount of time.
9. They are very good. I must say I was expecting a lot more from "Life on The Murder Scence". I figured there would be some good, new music. But its all songs from their other CDs. I must say I was a little upset. My little sister loves 'em too (9 year old head-banger...who would have thought it). Especially Hang 'Em High because her name (Mariah) is in the song. My favorite song is "To The End". I love all the...lines associating weddings and funerals.
10. I've have done too many stupid things to count. Some funnier ones include breaking a light-bulb with my foot, running into a post with a truck and totally trashing it, and provoking my friend during a game of Silent Capture The Flag so she kicked me and broke my toenail off. But the above all stupidest was when I told a friend that I loved like a brother I would go out with him. The thing is,I hadn't seen him for like 5 months, and when I did, I was blown away. He looked so much better than the last time I saw him, and when he asked, I of course said yes. It was a great night. Then, I got grounded, and couldn't see him for a few days. And when I did, he asked if we were really going out. Like actually seeing eachother. I said yes because I was so selfish and, he was my first "boyfriend". We "broke up" like 2 days later, and now I am so bitter about it. And its pretty much all my fault.
11. So many. Roo/Roo-bug/Stepharoo - This is my mom. I was like in love with Winne the Pooh when I was little, so she was Kanga and I was Roo. The /es are just variations of Roo. Sir - When my friend Katie and I were playing four-square (more like two-square, but bear with me) I was supposed to be serving, and, cause I think I have ADD I was getting distracted. And she goes,"Any day now, SIR!" Then she got to be called Ace because she was serving, missed, and I said, "Nice one, ACE!" Sheep -We were at the homecoming football game. My friends Aaron, Carissa, Katie (Ace!), Tyler and a few others and I were sitting around in the field not watching the game at all. I was sitting there and Aaron looks at me and says, "Steph, you look like a sheep." I was quite upset about it at first, but now I love it. Bread - This was two days ago actually. In swimming class (we have to take it to graduate) we had to use kickboards. Yeah, pretty lame I know. I told my friend Kristen that when I was younger and in swimming lessons, we would pretend that we were toasters and the kickboards were toast. And make the "toast" pop out of the water. And she kinda laughed at me. Then we were talking about it again for some reason, and I called her "Toast. And she said,"Well yeah! You are...Bread!" Our other friend Sarah is Butter. Twinkie/Twink -When I was like four years old my dad and cousin John would call me "Twinkie." I particularily liked Twinkies, so I didn't mind too much. Well, it turns out, about 10 years later I find it means "Blonde on the outside with marshmallow fluff on the inside." Meaning, they have been calling me dumb since I was four years old.
12. By an odd twist of fate, you meet Jessica Alba at your local supermarket. And...voila! Your seductive charms lead her to your house where...the deed was done. But, you in your eagerness to...well...get started, you forgot the protection. Shame on you! Now Jessica Alba is pregnant, demanding child support and for you to cover all the costs. I wish the musical Cats was never invented.
13. Admin. Since this board was of no use to me and has no use now,it would be better off closed. Thank you.
14. Oh gosh. When it comes to brand snobs... I am such a Nintendo brand snob. I don't think I've ever played any other type of platform. But...back on the 64. I love it! My sister and I don't have many games for it, but we still play. Poke'mon Stadium, Poke'mon SNAP, Hey You Pikachu, and the all time greatest... Harvest Moon 64. We are such girl gamers. But yeah. I'm sure people still play Nintendo 64. I'm sure there is at least one lonely person pounding away on one of those oddly shaped controllers... Is it just me or do they have the wierdest shape to them?
15. I actually cried the first time I heard the song "Lullaby for a Stormy Night" by Vienna Teng. A link for the lyrics is right there. Its one of those songs that I want to learn by heart and sing to my kids when they are little. Eep.And I agree with Kumquat. Hey There Delilah is my new favorite song.
16. Well.I'd have to say I am quite joyful. I only cry when I am upset, but now that I think about it, I get upset easily too. I have a lot of love too. Even for the smallest things. Actually, all my emotions above can tie together. I love to watch little ants build their houses. I love that something that small can make something so great all be working together. One time I was watching some ants, and then my little sister came and stepped on their ant-hill. I started crying later. Yeah...sounds kinda silly I know.
17. Erm. Well. This past April 20th was "National
Pot
Smoking Day" Two girls in my swimming class has their t-shirts confiscated because they said,"Support 4-20" and "Happy 4-20!"' There is also a "National Hoedeehoe Day". Its in late winter or early spring (can't remember... I celebrated in the 4th grade) where you go outside, and at the top of your lungs holler," Hoedeehoe!" I'm not sure of the exact reason why. Hope these are unusual enough for you!
18. Yay Hanabishi! You met a handsome and polite man from this forum. Unfortunatly, he turned out to be a phycotic murder and...yes, you suffered the consequences. Lets just say when he wants his dinner, he wants it now . I wish that my garden would grow.
19. Well. I'm a little hesitant, especially due to your lack of proper grammar (the correct term is 'more fun' rather than funner) but... You see,I have this friend. We'll called him Joey.Joey goes to a boarding school too much of a haul (and bus fare) for me to visit him. It has been about 9 (getting close to 10) months since I have seen Joey, and I really like him. A lot. He has promised to call and used to email me on an almost daily basis. But these days, he hasn't emailed me for the past 2 and a half weeks. And, his promise to call was made about a month ago.And as you can probably guess it hasn't been fulfilled. I know its selfish to take his time up because he has to keep up with his studies and with his mixed martial arts, but is this some sort of sign?
20. Well. Maybe. If the feelings were mutually the same, like you guys saw eachother and said "Dang.I love you." Then no. But, if she thought "Oh.There is my friend Gun Preacher. Its nice to see him again." rather than "Oh god.Gun Preacher, what a fox. I want that kid." Then maybe. Really it depends on her feelings too. If she said yes because she liked you too, then no, you didn't rush. If she said yes just because she felt the need to have a boyfriend, then, you might want to think and talk about what your relationship is about. This is a hard situation.I know that what I said would only work on TV. Because some people are sensative. So, to summarize. Her feelings matter in this too.If you don't think she will be offended or hurt, talk to her. Actually still talk to her. And your mom. Hope this helps, but it probably won't
21. Name.: Minna Eliza James Gender.: Female Age.: 22 Appearance.:Picture Approximately 5 foot 1 inch, weighing 105 pounds Short, mousey brown hair that she usually does nothing with. Quick wash and dry suits her just fine. She occasionally gets highlights or a perm, but only as a treat to herself when she has enough money. Persona.: Minna is quiet and calm in times that these traits are needed, such as in the workplace, but around friends she is hyper and rambunctious like a child. She trys to avoid conflict if she can help it.If she does have a problem with someone, she'll go about resolving it in a level-headed manner. Wanting to get away from her ghosts, Ms.James took all the money from her bank account, and, fulfilling a life-long dream of hers, moved the two to Japan. It was hard to start, due to the lack of money and poor knowledge of the Japanese language. But by the time Minna was 8, they were on their feet, living in a nice apartment in Yokohama. When Minna was 14, her mother met a man named Tomi Suzuki. After a whirlwind romance and hurried engagement, they were married. While she was on break one day, drinking a coffee at one of the tables, he sat down and they talked for a bit, exchaning phone numbers. A few weeks later he asked her out. They broke it off about a month and a half later, but remained friends. Relation.: Short-time girlfriend of Abel. Sorry if this isn't so good.Just PM me if there is anything I can change to make the story flow better.
22. Okay. I finally got the final DVD in the Fruits Basket anime series from the library last Friday. My little sister and I watched it and liked it a lot. She was actually anxious to see Ayame in a wedding dress. But anyway, we got to the last chapter (a.k.a. scence) in the last episode and... -cue dramatic music- the disc was scratched so badly it skipped right to the credits. This was after
Tohru says,"I don't know" (to why she was there to see Akito) and Akito grabs her by the hair and the guys jump up to help her.
So what I am getting to is...what happened next? I tryed my darndest to clean the disc and anything I could think of, but the disc wouldn't work. And before anyone says,"Take it back to the library and see if they can do something about it" here is the thing. The DVD was sent from a library out of my county. Thanks for any help! 23. I'm finally back on Otaku, and I think I need a make-over. So I was wondering if someone could make me a banner and icon. Here be the details: Character: Chi of Chobits Main colors: Blue, white and silver Pictures: I'd like them of her in the butterfly dress (as featured on cover 3) I'll try to find them if you need me to,but I'm not very good. Other:If you have any examples, I'd love to see them. Sorry if I sound picky. Just want to look good! ^.^ April 19th, 2006. Well I figured I'd look for some pictures and maybe make this request a bit more...attractive. So here are the few I could find. Maybe this is too hard... I also found a website that has quite a few pictures, including the "World Without People" picture book. And to worsen the situation, I would also like that to be included somehow. If at all possible.
24. Okay. For Helba's bit about them asking for my mom. I am under age (14) so my mom had to verify my entry. So I figure that they'd have to tell my mother anything about results. My entry was submitted online.(Did anyone even need to know that?) But Panda has a point about FUNimation being located in Texas and it would be more logical for them to call from there. But yeah. We also have our name on the tele-marketer "Do Not Call List" and we only get a few phone calls from them every month or so. And they come up as "Unknown Name" on the caller ID. Everything else shows either the business or family name of the caller. (Also I don't know if this info is relevant to anything.) Just for your info,(and not very good info) they haven't called back yet. My mom said they might call back today, and if they do I should ask questions and tell them that she won't be home until after 4:30. Thanks for the response!
25. This was featured in theotaku's news a while back. I was really interested and decided to try my luck. I entered an essay the night before the dead-line,figuring it wouldn't be so great because I pretty much made it up as I went and had to edit about half of it to get it under 100 words. I felt bad for Florida residents because they cannot enter. And today, the day the winners were to be announced. I was kinda thinking about it as I watched "InuYasha The Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass". And at about 12:25 pm, I got a call. The caller ID said,"Central Florida". Thats when I first freaked out. I answered and the guy asked for my mom. She was at work so I asked if I could take a message for her. The guy simply said no and that he'd call back later. I was so freaked out by then I didn't question him further. As I hung up I started to put the pieces together. I figured they'd call from Florida because you can't enter there. But still, I am unsure. Do you think this is a good thing, or am I getting worked up for nothing?
