Its odd how something that could be a fun sharing of opinons boils down into children fighting amongst themselves. I guess thats how some of the more opionated people of OB find pleasure- proving themselves the worser person by engageing in confrontational debate that ruins threads that could offer new ideas and thoughts. Hm. Sad that fact holds true.. And its the same people that ruin these threads with petty debates too. Cloricus, Gokents. Sensitive, Defensive, Opinonated people who ruin threads with a 'holier than thou' attitude. Bah. Also i'd like to ask some form of upper justive- God, I guess- to bless the familes of the Iraqi casulaties and the American casualties. Poloticans never fight the wars themselves, they just send other people in to do their work, and die for them..

Quite easy. I just think of them and imagine knives in all the band members backs and I can judge that I hate them. Its their sound. I just hate it with a passion. Meh. Different tastes.

I hate them. Cough. *goes to listen to more of Nile*

DeathKnight replied to REVENGE2's topic in General Discussion

He's played Red Faction. I reccomend, if you want a bloody RPG, Xenosaga. FPS? Most likely Battle Engine Aquila or Red Faction 2. Adventure? Kingdom Hearts [sucks]. ;P I say ICO, its cheap too. More turn based RPG, FF-esque? Suikoden 3. Real Time, Action RPG? Dark Cloud 2 Just beat them up action? Dynasty Warriors.

I just thought i'd butt in here to state something. I find it really odd to be watching CNN's 'embedded reporters'- It almost makes it feel like i'm playing some sort of video game, it just doesnt feel like war. Just watching the tanks sit around and get refueled, watching the soldiers stand at the top of their tanks and stretch around. I'm just not used to tanks not being in combat consistantly. Anyone else finding this something you arent used to yet?

Mainly the Bluebonnets, here in San Antonio. Since I live in a forest, whole fields of them grow around the yard and in the woods, along the highways. Its a sign of Texas, and its a sign that the cold, harsh intenseity of winter is over. Imagine fields upon fields.. this is the only picture I could find that is remotely good in capturing how beautiful the fields can be, and this is just a snippit compared to what i've seen in the rural areas of this state. Kenratu: This Rune. This will help us retake this world. Amatros: How? It merely opens gates.. Kenratu: If I want it to, it will end our hunger for human flesh. Both of them stood in the midst of the makeshift outpost, Kenratu's voice merely whispering to where Amatros could hear him only. He held the rune tightly in one hand, glanceing to the ground, his hair shifting over his eyes. Kenratu: This was made by our ancestors.. So that we could become something more than ascended parasites. It eleminates the need for humans entirely.. Mentally, and pyschially. Amatros: Mentally.. You mean the pulse. Kenratu: Of course. You dont think i'm stupid, do you? I know all about that.. thats why they are still alive. He calmly pointed to the scattered groups of humans locked in their shoddy prisons, dirt encrusting their skin. He silently grabbed his sword, pointing to the northeast, glanceing to Amatros, and the small group of Shades around them that had congregated over the course of the conversation. Kenratu: We're going Northeast... To the small Metropolis of San Antonio. Prepare everything, congregate every Shade here. Keep the humans as prisoners.. they wont be too rowdy if you make them bleed enough. Thats the plan- Thats our attack. Move out..

It doesnt matter. Its already started, lol. So the petty infighting in this thread is what is stupid and immature. I wish the people on that side of the world the upmost luck in keeping safe.

Finally, it got boring after Afghanistan quieted down. I'm for war. It livens things up, it kills people faster than just monotonous life. Lol. So, Go America. Imperialism in its prime, horrah.

Lol. Failed attacks suck, dont they.. --- His body slammed through the very shell of the car, ripping it clear in two as his sword sliced through the head of one of the humans. Kenratu silently shimmered before disappeared from veiw again as several cuts appeared on the front half of the humvee, before a few seconds of silence followed. A small orb of flame slammed into the ripped-open engine, the explosion that followed throwing the surronding humans off their feet and onto the ground. Kenratu: You think that you can sneak up on us? That your guns are not loud enough to echo across this empty wasteland that we, ourselves, created? Who the **** do you think that we are? Barbaric idiots? His sword slammed through the skull of one of the regular civilians that had come along, pieces of skull mixed with his brain splattering onto the soil below. Anger flareing within him, he turned and stared at the barrels of several different guns, each of the people's fingers pulling the trigger at once. He flipped to the side, behind the burning hulks of the pieces of the humvee, each of them halting their fire and eyeing the hulk carefully... Black tentacles ripped through a humvee in the middle, grabbing the sniper that was aiming for Amatros head and ripped him through the bottom of the humvee, dragging him deep into the ground. Silence fell on Kenratu's end of the counter-attack, a few of them stareing to the humvee where the sniper had been. Civilian: He's under the godd*mn ground. Military Soldier: ****ed.. We should have pulled out all the stops on these guys, this is getting bad.

First, Everquest sucks ***. The worst overhyped piece of crap that I have ever seen was that stupid game I wasted 2 weeks trying to enjoy. Secondly, this game is great- But the story is somewhat medicore after playing through only 6 hours of Xenosaga. The battle system is good, but sometimes it seems your opponents luck out a bit more than they should =) Its extremely easy to get equipment, not that i'm complaining- Just stateing that for anyone who wants a challenge in getting good weapons and armor, lol.

I believe in luck. Too many times i've just barely edged past things for it to be mere chance, and i'm not going to be vain, saying it was all me, lol. But, I think there is most likely a mix of destiny and luck. Some things are predetermined to happen, while some things you just somehow slipped through by a nice box of luck. More of the serious things appear to be predetermined in my mind- But i've 'lucked out' on several larger events in my life as well. It all depends, really.

Kenratu drew his sword and rested it on his shoulder, grabbing his advisor by his shoulder with his free hand. He murmered a few things to the advisor, a look of contemplation and thought coming onto the advisors face- A few seconds passed, when a murmered reply came back. Kenratu nodded and patted the advisor on the shoulder, more low murmers coming out of his mouth. Finally, he turned and sprinted in the direction Amatros had gone, his image turning into a flash compliments of his immense speed. He glanced up a distance to Amatros, who was preparing to dive where the humvees were, and he silently nodded to himself, Raising his sword as he closed in within half a mile of the humvees..

Shade Advisor: Problem.. Kenratu shook his head slowly at the ever persistant concerns that this advisor brought up. He ended his conversation short with the newer Shades, and looked at the advisor, takeing him off to the side. Shade Advisor: The gate.. Its going to allow all the humans within maybe-.. *pause* He calculated for a few moments in his head, before nodding to himself, satisfied with his arthimitic. Shade Advisor: 700 miles. Kenratu: To be able to awaken? So not all would. Shade Advisor: But under extreme stress, as in a sudden attack from an unknown race, most would awaken.. Kenratu: Their powers are still weak, we dont need to worry.. what we need to worry about is the next gate I create- That will surge the power of the Mages further into them. All we need is to keep ourself strategetic.. This is still a game of chess, our numbers arent great enough to just randomly shed blood. Shade Advisor: May I reccomend a council? A war council? Where you could grather strategies and ideas from others of where to go next with our army. Kenratu: A war council, hmm.. Beautiful. Invite all of the more intelligent ones along with my trusted friends.. We dont need 1000 people shouting ideas at once. Shadow Advisor: Consider the task completed. Kenratu: Good. Send them all to my tent in an hour, i'm going to go north, to the smoldering ruins of that city.. Shadow Advisor: Why? Kenratu: I have a feeling that we might have forgotten something big in all of this that might just prove to be a greater threat than God's eyes.. Shadow Advisor: I shall prepare your tent while you are a- Ikturu: Wait. Startling the advisor slightly, Ikturu landed lightly on the ground, an agitated expression on his face. Kentaru turned and looked at him, slightly puzzled- Something was wrong. Kentaru: What is it? Does something approach us?
Originally posted by Mitch Just realize that all Mankind has done since his appearance on the Earth is nothing grand. We aren't wonderful ourselves. We're ruining this planet, but none care. I just wanted you to at least realize that the Earth is dying because of us. Just fathom that yes, you care about it in the distance, even though you can do nothing about it.
Animals havent achieved jackshit compared to man. Man has. Thats the simple factor, even if we are ruining this planet. We are the greatest living species on this planet, the ruleing species. And untill I see a God, or Angels, or Aleins- We're the greatest in the known universe as well, in my opinon.

Parents are overreacting dumbasses as usual. Outward apperance with me follows the rule that you cannot judge a book by its cover. I have been backstabbed by people who appeared, outwardly, nice and welldressed, not really a rebel or trying to flash some statement out in [her] clothing. I've had plenty of good friends who were pierced, gothic, punkish who stood up for me, helped me out in hard times, were good people to hang around. About the parents holding their children back- I'm sure the majority of child rapists, kidnappers and murders are goths and punks, LOL.

You should make one where its just one giant X, the smaller ones look kind of crappy being in one image. Heh. But I likey.

No, thats alright. But if you want to have a human character along with a Shade, that would be fine. But dumping your character isnt that neccesary, methinks. ^^

It wouldnt be a good RPG if I had a set ending, would it? You have to be open about RPGs, nothing is definate.

Why the hell is everyone so morbid? lol. Things never stay the same, look in the past 100 years at all the devolpments that have occured. Nations fall from power constantly, things always change. Maybe, like in the past 500 years, we'll continue to devolp as a species instead of some Armageddon-esque Biblical disaster.

Mini-Ken has found a playmate![/end bb2 referance] Thats very KoRn-esque indeed, but its highly enjoyable. You should color it, it would make a good wallpaper methinks.

Well, at least none of us will be around in 2 billion years, haha. Thanks for refreshing my memory, I had forgotten about it- I read an article about it on some website a few months back.

No, that process is going to take thousands of years, lol. [edit]if I remember right, that is.[/edit]

Time will go on no matter what, so there will be a year 2525 if we like it or not. Or, rather- If humanity is there or not. I think that Humans are so adaptable, if a global disaster occurs there will be some that survive and go on to recreate society. Disasters have scarred our history- The Black Plague is one of the bigger ones that come to mind. That might not have been global in scale, but Europe still bounced back- It just took time to heal. Like I said, it wasnt Global, but it demonstrated our ability to recouperate after disasters. Kids have always been kids, calling them corrupt now is a hypocricy- They might be worse than in olden times, but back then there were still rebels againt the conformity of authority, but to a lesser degree. Lets see. 2525. By then, how do you not know we'd have estabilished colonies in space? That is a good deal into the future, and with time comes techonology along with the changes and disasters. By then, who knows where humankind would lay- We might abandon Earth for a new place, its science fiction but it wouldnt be the first time science fiction turned into science nonfiction. You mentioned wars, wars have been going on since two people had opposite opinons- lol. It wont be stopping anytime soon, either- I bet within 100 years the UN is dissolved, just as the League of Nations was. Its a simple fact that culture, opinons, and ideals always will clash with one another- Thats the basis of the Bible, even, God versuses a Rogue Angel. Its impossible to tell where we will be by then- or even guess, its too great a mass of time, half a millenia. We could be starward, could be destroyed and recouperating, we could all be living in massive techno metropolises of skyscrapers and highways, there might be no Earth. We can hope for a more positive path, but you never know- Humans are foolish.
