1. Well scream at your parents, yell at them, explain what isbothering you rationally... exhaust all of these things before yu do anything rash. And if you do decide that you need to get out of your house, make sure that you have a realistic plan on what to do next.
2. It was another hour before the workers finally made their move on the musician. They rushed all at once knowing that the musician would only be able to get off one or two shots. "What cowards," thought the musician,"I thought I would only buy a few minutes of time, but they gave me a whole hour." The musician smashed his guitar into a worker's face, and then he stepped into the melee. He took the splintered guitar and used it to stab atthe workers. He used his hands and feet, not bothering to draw his gun. In no time only he and the bartender were left standing. Te Musician walkedup to the bar, his head was bleeding slightly and his eye was starting to swell shut. He ordered a whiskey on the rocks. When the bartende finishd pouring his drink the musician grabbed hi hair and smashed his head on the counter. He downed his whiskey, and walked out, leavnga ten on the table.
3. Wow BG, that poem was great!! That is one lucky guy:) Okay, here is one for today, Feb 18, 2001. I'm glad that a couple of you are posting...please keep it up:) Sitting on my Cloud I drop a line It catches the breeze and flutters to an fro SPLASH! It falls into the river of life. I wonder what I will catch today? I lean back and relax holding the line from atop my cloud
4. It was his blood that should have been shed that night, not the girl's. She was so young, so innocent. A tear falls from the musician,s eye, his guitar screams out a painful riff and his song comes to a close. The girl has walked out of the bar and a man is slumped dead on the counter. His friends have finally gathered the courage to go hunt her down. They smash bottles and expose the jagged, glittering glass to the hrsh halogen bar lights. The Musician heads them of at the door. He knows these men are spoiling for a fight. He also knows that if they leave the bar they will all die. Musician- Sit down, and drink your beer. The police will take care of the woman. The factory workers don't listen, they are to worked up over the death of there friend. The musician pulls out a snub nosed pistol and shoots a worker in the foot. The gun bast echoes throughout the room and when it finally fades it is replaced by silence. The Musician speaks. "As I said, sit drink a beer, and let it be." The workers sit back down, eyeing the musician with a mixtur of hatred and fear. The musician tucks his gun into his pants. He pulls a chair up to the door and begins to once again play his guitar.
5. Well I wouldn't call liking everything being a poser, I would say that yu have an ecclecti tase in music. I like eveything but if I was to choose I would have to say blues and jazz. It reintroduced expressionism into music and allowed music to become something that was boh very personal to the artist and easily relateable to the listener. To be honest , if you only enjoy one genre of music I would look down upon you as having a very limited sense of expression.
6. I don't think that you can classify any large area as having a particular culture anymore. But there is lifstyle that is Americana that is unlike anywhere else in the world.
7. Wow SSJ Chic, you look incredibly hot in that picture. The photo gives you a brooding, leave me be quality. It is tres attractive.:naughty:
8. The musician strummed a slow blues riff on is guitar. The smoke streamed out of his half smoked cigarette as oddly melodic chords flowed form the strings. He bent his head quickly and a long grey cylinder of ash fell from his cigarette. When hishead was bent he noticed the girl. He wondered what a girl was doing in a low class dive like this. He wasn't surprised to se her get up and leave, he also wasn't surprised when the mill workers that frequented the bar started grabbing at her. The gunshots shocked him, however, not because hewas afraid of guns or appalled by death. Instead, because it reminded him ofhis past...
9. Sorry or double posting but here is my poem of the day...Feb 17, 2002 I apologize For all the times that I let you down I apologize For all the times I made you cry I made you frown I apologize for the moment that I let you go I apologize for the moment I needed space I needed room to grow But most of all I apologize For being me And all I put you through I should have known I would never be quite good enough for you
10. I don't understand the whole situation but it sounds like your freind is just going through a little teen angst. She gets locked in her room and her phone time is limited? Maybe she just gets in trouble a lot but doesn't tell you about that part of her life. Tell her to stick it out and maybe seek some family counseling, running away is rarley the best awnser.
11. Feb 16, 2001 Red The color of my anger Red The color of my hate Red when I am blinded with rage Red The tide of my fate Red The color of your laughter Red The color of love undying Red when I am blinded by emotion Red For you alone I am crying
12. Surges of Bravery??? You get those? wow, I bet they are nice, personally sometimes my cowardice thins out just enough to ask a girl out, but bravery...nope not me:D By the way DBZ man can you give us some more specific notes?? I mean I thought your attachment gave good info, but I was expecting the bible on girls man...
13. I'm one hundred percent American!!! My bloodline runs throughout most of the known world, I am such a mut that it is unbelievable, so I think I'll just claim my heritage as being true Americana.
14. I hated swimming in highschool, mainly because I had a teammate that was bettr hen Iwas in all of my good events. We both swam distance events and he would always come in first, I would always come in second, I was always competeing with him and never wih other teams. It was actualy kind of funny, until we went to states no one swam within 30 seconds o his 500m time but me. He wa actualy so good that he is swimming for the naval acadamy now. Anyways, Snail, keep the second place banner for yourself, if the other guy doesn' want it, forget him...
15. Wow,I'm glad you guys decided too post!!! YOur poems are al excellent. I missed yesterday, because I didn't spend much time on the boards but here is one for today. Feb 15, 2002 I awoke in the morning to hear the rooster crow. The stars were still visible and the sun hung so low. It is time to go to work now, time to earn my keep, I learned once the hard way what you sow is what you reap. I'll take a break when noon comes I'll rest for a short time. But then its back to work again to make another dime. It is time to go to work now, time to earn my keep, I learned once the hard way what you sow is what you reap. And when I lay in bed tonight, I know that I will sleep, happy drems and happy thoughts for what you sow is what you reap...

Anyway my valentines day has been going great. It is a beautiful day, I played my horn at an extremely elegant wedding, and I am looking forward to going out tonight!!! Who knows what is in store for the evening...:)
17. Well I am going to post a daily poem in this thread, either one that I write off of the top of my head or one that I find relevant to my current mood. Please use this thread to post in a similar style, and if you comment on a poem, please also post a poem, even if you don't feel that it is good. Feb. 13, 2001 A depression A prolonged saddness An empty void A plea for maddness I want an escape A silent, swift end A bit of relief Just one true friend For I have no love No star in my sky I sit alone, all alone I cry
18. Heaven enters the temple. He lights an incense stick and walks over to the incantation stone. A priest walks by and stops to talk to Heaven.... Priest-That is the incantation of Latva. It is said that if you can decipher the language and say it aloud you can summon the dragon. Heaven- Why would you want to call on the dragon? Wouldn't summoning him nvoke its wrath? Priest- Yes but there is a myth of the dragon holding a powerful spell in its left eye. But it is just a myth, no one can read the incantation...the language has been dead for years. The Priest walks away and Heaven slowly begins to read the incantation.
19. Ghhaaa!!! I hate Valentines Day!!! I work at a clothing store, and I very much enjoy flirting with our female customers . However, this week has sent me into a downward spiral of depression. All of the girls that come into the store are blinded by emotion and spellbound with love. They are all buying clothes for Valentines Day or Gifts for their boyfriends, and talking about how great their boyfriends are. Also, I have only one remaining single male friend, and all of my friends are preparing for tomorrow, buying flowers and making dinner arrangements. And, to add insult to injury, I have been hired out to play my trumpet in a weddng tomorrow. I can never remeber wanting a girlfriend for the sake of having one before...but I want one now. By the time the wedding is over tomorrow I am going to be so depressed that I don't know if gettin good and drunk will help too much.:bawl:
20. Well I don't think I'll set it as my wallpaper, but I'll give it an honorary spot in my avatar. :D
21.
Originally posted by SuperSayian ~~ 1) I say stay out of other countries' buisiness; Let them deal with their own problems. 2) Let the US deal with it's own problems. 3) Stop spending usless funds on things like space travel, work on lowering the poverty level, and raising minimum wage.
I know your pressed for time so you couldn't elaborate on you feelings but here are some of my problems wit those ideas. 1) because of the world economy, it is not smart to have a (I know I am going to spell this wrong, sorry) lazzie-faire attitude towards the policies of other countries. A nations leaders must now be incredibly focused on whatis going on in the world because all of our economies are based on one another. 2) In my mind, that is exactly wha is wrong with the US government right now. We think we are the best and our government has become too arrogant to assimilate ideasfrom other countries. The only reason the US became a successfull country was due to its ability to assimilate several good ideas and create a philosophy around it. 3) Space travel will be important one day...I say keep the funding coming.
22. Unfortunately, providing for the less fortunate people in the US is not as easy as it should be. Frequently, welfare money doesn't get where it needs too. Food stamps are traded for drugs, peoples social security checks are stolen or used by greedy friends or family members. And for those that do get the money many times it is just misspent due to a lack of responsibility. The US welfare system is a faultless system in theory. It gives money to those who are going through trying times and are out of work, yet will return to te job market, or to those who are disabled and can't return to the job market. Because of the abuse of this system the money has thinned out and is being mismanaged. There are also a lot of people that have too much pride to ask for help from the government. All of these factors are taken into account by politicians everyday, however, there have been no solutions that do no require a huge revamping of the US economic structure.
23. Well I think it rocks, although I have not seen all of the new aspects. It looks incredible and the new forums lok great...the Otaku staff did an awesome job:D
24.
Originally posted by Delian Well there can be only one slayer...the chosen one, with strength far superior than any demon or vampire. Vampires are not invincible..They're actually quite vulnerable, when you come to think of it...:naughty: :naughty: Hahaha...Very ugly too I must say:smirk: The only way you male vampires can get the pretty women is by killing them first....coz they have no choice when they've been turned.
Alright, maybe I should rethink being a vampire with Delian running around impaling everyone...geez. I wouldn't have picked a vampire if we are talking about stupid Bufy the Vampire Slayer Vampires...I was thinking more on the line of the Vampires from Bram Stokes ar Ann Rice novels...and Del, if I was a vampire, I wuld seduce women the same way I do now...with my good looks, charm, and alcohol of course:D
25. Well unfortunatly noone will be ale to awnser those questions that you asked. My only insight for you is that violence ad defense are traits of the universe and nature, I believe that because of humankinds need to rationalize we created hatred, and eventually formed an emoton from it. It is what I would call a "Domsticated Emotion" as opposed to a "pure emotion" like fear...but that is just my theory
