1. As has been said, Ikonboard is very resource intensive. I do not advise it. I ran an Ikonboard for about 2 months, and eventually had to switch to a different software because of the amount of resources it used. Its very slow, and can be a headache. However, Ibforums (now called Invision Board), would be a much better choice. It's based on PHP and MySQL, hence much faster. I co-administrate an Ibforums board at http://www.aquatiqterrors.com (a fish enthusiast site), and have written many hacks for it at http://www.ibresource.com . The code is much easier to underst
 2.
Originally posted by User Name I'm not American, what are you talking about?
Some court ruled that the words 'under god' in our pledge of alliegence (sp?) were unconstitutional.. and now its a huge debate.
 3. I saw the Philadelphia Experiment 1 as well as the Sequel... freaky stuff. I have to say that PE1 still is one of my favorite movies (I love that sci-fi stuff).
 4. Nahhhh same problem here, although it seems to be better. It looks as if their hosts' mysql server went down as well for a brief period of time... haha, each time someone viewed that page where it says 'Technical Difficulties' etc.. it sends an email to adam ;) I bet he has about 2000-3000 new mail ;)
 5. Well I've understood his message every time--like you said--everyone understands. So the soul reason people do it is to poke fun at the leader of a nation? Would they do it if he was to be any other person? It wouldn't be as rough, I do believe, but depending on the person it would happen. One of the unfortunate things with a modified-free-society is how the change of power affects everyone. Thank the Lord it hasn't gotten violent. One question, with the nature of discussion in mind--if you had to decide how to fix it... how would you approach the situation of ridicule such as this towar
 6.
Yeah, but you can't take Bush's comments and perceive them the way you did...and expect that people won't laugh at you.
Yea, I figured that would happen.. he isn't that smartest one, I believe that already, but I thought it was kinda fun being able to refute all but two of those statements with simple, possible, (however unlikely it may be) explanations.. I mean, you gotta admit.. some of those make some sense.
 7. See, its all a matter of perception. If you want to think a certain way, you will. This guy is screwed from the start, as most everyone I speak too thinks the same way about him. A man does not sit on his butt all day and eat candy corn and become the president of the United States. Bust worked hard, and I support him for that.. PS, oh, and why was that stupid, I was just pointing out another perception ;)
 8.
It is titled
... This is commonly or has been used by everyone. So if you call him stupid because of this statement, you must call yourself stupid.
"The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country."
Actually, they do... if you can prove otherwise, I'd like to know.
If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
Well, we could either succed, fail, or neither.. so the problem is?
"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one word is 'to be prepared'."
One word, prepared.
 9. I've seen that ;) Theres also another one.... Fight 1 ;)
 10. Playing Soccer!!! I've been doing that forever. In fact, today was the first time I'd played since fall!!! We just got out, had about 8 people, and had a couple games!!! It was great.
 11.
they mean stating the year all three times 20:02 20/02 2002 yours is just a pattern not a full sequence
ok...... so 2112 2112 2112 doesn't work? Ok... totally lost here. What's the sequence?
 12. According to their news here: http://www.planetnamek.com/cgi-bin/mainnews/viewnews.cgi?newsall they've been going down because of server problems. It also states in one of the news things for the 14th that they are "not dead" EDIT: ok... now the site won't load at all. Darn. :smirk:
 13. Half Full blood Yuguslovian, (my mom is full)... and half of everything else ;)
 14. SuperSayian The Achive "bot" crawls the web every couple of days (maybe every couple of hours) and basically searches every domain in the domain index in the internets root servers. You do not have to submit your site. It is automatically there. It is based off of an array of computers that already have 100+ Terabytes of archive data. It is interesting, for instance... say you wanted to see what microsoft.com or 3dfx.com used to look like... ;)
 15. I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but there is a service called the "Internet Wayback Machine". It is at http://web.archive.org I thought it was pretty interesting looking at what otakuboards looked like in June 2001 ;)
 16. a good old shoot-out between the genders... I love it! :smirk:

 20.
Tell your teacher if he/she has a problem, then they can come talk to me, and my teacher, and anyone I know, cause whoever your teacher is, obviously doesn't understand the ideal of economics.
I like the way you operate ;)
 21. I only see 1980 too....
 22.
You think that I was ticked off!
Sorry D.Dark. Its hard to tell peoples emotions on these things and the feelings they are trying to convey. I thought you were being sarcastic. BTW, I've only studied economics for like 1 month! ;)
 23. Thanks TN, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. All of the tests and quizes have questions that are exactly like this. I've fought about 2-3 questions on each one, and have gotten nowhere. Now, I have to figure out how to break my Econ teacher. How exactly would I go about doing it in general? The quizzes are made by Glencoe Division of Macmillian/McGraw-Hill. Has anyone ever taken a course with this material? How did you do? PS I know I said I would forget this thread, but it turned out a little better than I expected.
 24.
Thank you! I don't like being told I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter. Manick, how long you been studying economics?
jesus sorry guys forget i posted this thread. it was a bad decision on my part. I don't study economics. I had this question because I argued this question to my teacher for 3 days exactly the way you guys are arguing with me now. I came up with every possible solution, asked many educated people, and still could not get this dude to move on his earlier decision. The correct awnser is b. However, I beleive that the correct answer is a,
