Thanks Lady Asphyxia, and, here is another poem. This one's quite a little different, I think. It has a rather...outdoing rhyme scheme, yet, I think I pulled it off. I don't know, I'll have to await others' opinions. Well, here it is: Bleyend Can I but capture a slight'st view of blind? is what that is thy mind? It seems true that some eyes are shut but, ask I, is where be your eye? doth it entangle inside thine tissues? but giv'st me a look, then may I choose that I do, and now I see: blind are those which chose so be and chose that, that did thee fall thus down, down onto thy knee and try, try but see: see me true, that as I be there, now, do thee see: open thine eye, show away that dust capture away such trivial crust now, again I doest ask: do now, now thee see? this not be, now, do tell me stand true, make what is not haste, now, ask I again: do tell, tell now me, do thee see? tell something to you, must I now: chosen are you blind to me yet, I still persevere to see I need gone which clevers mine and all's vision as do thee welly need, as I, and I do try try yet is not mine chosen alas, must you, you must give chance you know I tried tried that for you give way, give but chance do not I deserve but even that?

Truly wonderful. This just goes to show: raw human emotion is what fuels writing, and makes the best of it. Although there are a few mispellings and grammatical errors, who am I to chomp you down for them? I mean, this seems only to be a rough, so yes, I'm not going to go there. As I read this, I felt like I was right there, just watching, a ghost. I screamed, yet still, it went on all around me, making me want to read that much more of it. I cannot wait to read all of the rest of it. This is a very wonderful story, especially since you get all of your feelings right out for me to grasp, and that adds even more dynamic to it all...it makes the characters very lively and living. As we grow older we become more adaptable and easily effected by things. I do not mean that in a fickle manner, but, as we are older, we become much more understanding and perceptive of ourselves, our feelings, everything in general. Change is the key word I would associate with this thread, and change is not always all that easy. The transition from my childhood and to where I stand now, as a teenager, was a long and yet well guided path. Although bumpy at times, mostly it was smooth treading. I do believe that the older we get, the more we can be applied to the behavior of that of our parents, and our peers. You see, we learn what we know not just from school, but from all of our personal experiences amassed into one whole. We then take that, and adapt to a certain situation when it does arise. Yes, I've changed my mind on numerous things as I made my transition from young and ignorant, to, I suppose, semi-experienced, and semi-knowing. I used to never want to eat fish: Now I eat it and love it. But also, other than those changes that we bring about ourselves, there are those which we cannot control and are tempered to suffer through. But, besides that, yes, I do believe everyone has rethoughten or rechosen their stance on numerous matters throughout their long lives. Some smaller, yet some bigger.
Originally posted by vegeta rocker I don't think we have enough of a demand for such a forum. When they (threads) start over filling the Otaku lounge then you can suggest it again. But hey, i could be wrong.
These boards aren't about supply and demand if that is what you believe. I guess it's just to politican in you, VR. We would not create the forum for the demand, but to add more variety and interest here. But, I can see what you mean by demand... I'm certain if OL was crowded with numerous topics just about books, a forum then would be created, but alas, that isn't the case. Then there's always those who will go against it, and will demote it...but, as I said, I doubted it would happen, and, nonetheless, I still stand by that truth.

Yes, the first is correct. A comma is placed within the quotation marks if you are going to continue after it and say something such as "Grab the car," my grandmother said. But if you are not going to say something after the quotations then you do something to this extent: "Grab the car." and that's all. I'm certain your instructor was right. But, to learn, you have to be certain. Oh, and also, whenever a new speaker speaks within your writing, you also start a new paragraph. And when a conversation is going on, you indent...Ex: "What's going on, Sarcy?" I asked, placing my hands on her shoulders. "Oh, not to much. And how are you doing," Sarcy replied, reluctant as always. And so on.. Oh, and if you put an exclamation point at the end of the quotation, no comma is needed to do the 'he said', 'she said', ect.

Gaming Your favorite video game villain of all time...
Mitch replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Noosphere
Obviously Sephiroth. He just had the most coolest looks, the most coolest back-story, story, and everything about him is just wonderful. There's never been a villian quite like Sephiroth, and I'm glad to say that. He's quite one of a kind, if I do say so. -
I'm sure there's more to that story than you beg to tell...yet, I know how it is with some people. I know they can be rather jumpy and rude, yet, that is going to be a part of everyones lives. Rude people will come. You just have to have enough sense not to fight and speak reasonably to them and try as hard as you can to stay calm. Yet, fights are bound to happen, and there's no stopping them.

Ahh...very sad. I'm certain the little sister will remember that moment and be haunted by it forever... It is in our human nature to be violent, yet, still, I wish guns were never made. I wish no weapons were ever made. They are useless. They are only good for killing the lives of those whom are the most innocent.

Other than a Harry Potter forum, we need something more general...I think we need a book forum where people can post and discuss about books in general. I love to read, and I love to talk about what I love, so I'd love it. Plus I think we need something new. But, I doubt it'll happen, but still, I wish >>

It doesn't seem Otaku Boardish to me....but, still, I have to admit it's something different and new, so, fresh meat *nibbles on new skin*
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve I'm sorry, I've jumped way off topic... again.... Just need to explain myself better to some of you who think I'm Satan.
I was just going off the last sentence of your earlier post
Stupid people can be smart... haven't you seen Forest Gump?
, and expanding upon it, I wasn't talking directly to you, just saying my opinion. Since it was somethign which I hold dear and true to me. So don't take offense, TN

Here's a happy poem for once ^^....I like this one because it flows nicely ^^: Clifay If life were but a pile of clay nothing at the start and something in the end with what would you bend the clay? would you stand by and let the clay become? or would you take your very hands make it into a resemblance in your long assemblance make it into something worthy of you something with which you could do or would that clay become distorted shape an unsymmetrical pile to view a craterous image of you? because truly life is but a large pile of malleable clay able to flex and break in one notion shaping into a face of unknown due a conveyed reaction of hand-made you

Hmm, yes, these are all rather negative. Actually, very. From the first, I got that we are only humans, nothing greater, nothing more better, nothing more than but cells. And Also that we need to accept that we are extinct as we speak, dieing as we speak. The second, I got that the person which is speaking believes our generation lives in a day and age of nothing. Nothing. Nothing but spirit and that alone. And no, I do not stand by these quotes. They are the complete opposites of my beliefs.

Stupid people are smart. Although to the contrary, it may seem otherwise, I've seen it in effect in my life... I've learned so much from my Grandpa, as you have seen, if you've ever read my "Choices of Choice" little narrative that I wrote. My Grandpa owns a Barber Shop, and gives five dollar haircuts for a living, he almost dropped out of school, and went to reform school, but he decided to do as his father guided, and take barber school. It goes to show that if he can become something out of nothing, and make some use of what skills he has, he can become much more than dumb or smart, he becomes experienced in life. So certainly you have your book smarts, your talents, and other such things. But when the thick and the thin become nothing, in the end, it all comes down to experience, and choices. That is what I believe, and I firmly believe it. Smarts are not just found in technicalities, not just in books, but they are found through experience, understanding, constant surveying and perception. That is what true intelligence is. So just because someone may not be as intelligent as you, lower to you in your eyes, does not mean that they to cannot do great things, and even teach you a lesson or two. I've learned so much from my Grandpa, I love him more than I can say, he is just such a wonderful person to be around. Just because he has a learning disorder, because he can barely read, just because he stutters, that doesn't mean he's dumb. Those are just his flaws...everyone has flaws...some apparent, some hidden. And to be flawed, to be ignorant at some things, is to be human.

I am relaxed. I never wasn't...I'm never angered until someone pushes me very hard. I'm very calm and relaxed in my nature. But, when someone does something that offends me, then I get mad. Not in this case, though. :) I'm sure you've seen my overreact as I have done before, like about drugs and nonsense which we have talked about.
Originally posted by Morph Looks like someone forgot to check his post. See TN? The same thing could of happened with the other member, he typed too fast and didn't check his post before he posted it or didn't bother to EDIT IT. =D So HA!
Ahh...yet another good point. What a hypocritical world we live in today, folks. Full of prejudiced and arrogant people... Well, I guess to be beautiful, something must also be ugly, as if one of not.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve I understand osme kids are of... less intelligence... And I don't hold that against them.... what I hold against them is the fact that being as stupid as some of them are, they are allowed on the internet. If I was dumb, you wouldn't see me embarassing myself in front of millions of others. Then again, if I was that dumb I probably wouldn't know any better. I'm sorry, the only prejudice I have in life is against the stupid. I have no patience for them, nor will I ever, nor do they deserve it.
Ahh, so that's your side of it...I didn't fully understand it. You just can't see why they're here, making fools of themselves. I hath seen the light of your mind, TN.
Originally posted by gokents The "stupid" dont have a choice to be smart or not, they are just dumb and theres no choice.
That was what my point was. It's not their fault, why exploit and denounce them for it? Why not help rather than become as ignorant as they are and even more?

You are right on the first. That was well...I was thinking of exasperated, but for some reason, I thought it elsewise...thanks for bringing that up. Meander, can, as you said, mean to side-track, but here it means that he ran not in a certain path, because he was very frightend. But thanks, I didn't see that.

Blah. There's been way to many threads about this band already. Bleh....well, I like them, but I'm getting sick of them. I've listend to the first record for what seems like an eternal of all I need to. The remix album was bad, though, when you get right to it. I'm just waiting for them to make a new album already, see if the goodness they have is real not just luck.

Emoticons are actually good for something! :D Anyhoo... Here's an idea! :) Since everyone seems to be saying that post counts don't matter, why don't we just reset everyone's post count back to zero? Everyone would be a newbie again. Wouldn't that be kewl? ;)
*Grasps desperately to what posts he has, and hold them close* [some people's responce]No! Never, that is the worst idea ever. *Begins to cry* :bawl: no...no...*watches as they are slowly taken away* STOP! NOooooooOOooo! :demon: [/ some people's response] Uh...no, I don't like the idea. Then there'd be more whinning than there already is, and...just no.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve When I was 12 I knew how to spell "banned" if thats what you may be refering to smartass. I also wasn't on the internet when I was 12 :lecture:
He's not just pointing that out, TN. He's saying everyone is born ignorant and unknowing of life or anything. Some people grow faster than others, and to look down on someone for their flaws is to be prejudiced and biased. My brother's in 6th grade. He still has very much trouble reading. Do I look down on him for it? Certainly not. Because I know someday...no matter how long, he'll stand up to reading a realize it isn't that hard. And just because someone cannot spell doesn't mean they are a little kid, or younger. They may have a handicap which prevents it, or their brain just isn't able to contemplate how to spell well. But yes, it kind of surprise me of his misspelling of 'banned', but I'm certain it was just an error in his typing. Everyone is born into this world stupid and ignorant, some more than others. And it's our experiences which make us us.

I have no idea. I haven't really ever played that many video games with voice over...oh, and this should be in one of the video game forums, which one, it doesn't matter, it just should.

Oh, nice, Sara. Very nice. Also, seemingly personal yet broad at once. This one I really like. It has this fleeting memorical feel about it, like delving into your mind...and searching. Wonderful.
